Abstract

Yoga is one of the sports or physic exercises which is most wanted and popular nowadays. Yoga combines or unites mind, body and soul only by doing movements (asana) along with breathing technique and meditation. Yoga is lead by an instructor who gives the instruction for the members. In giving the instruction, the instructor uses instructional communication in doing exercise process. The purpose of this research is to know the instructional method, instructional communication media, and the communication obstacles which happen in Yoga exercise process.This research belongs to quantitative research method by using symbolic approach. The informants of this research were 3 instructors and 3 members at Lindz Yoga studio Pekanbaru, while the object of this research was the instructor’s instructional communication at Lindz Yoga studio Pekanbaru. The data collection technique was used by observation, interview and documentation. In order to get data validity in this research, the researcher used the extension of participation and triangulation.The result of this research showed that the instructor’s instructional communication to the members in doing Yoga exercise used three instructional communications, such as command method, exercise method and question answer method. The media that used were audio media, aids media and picture media. The most use media and also effective in the usage are audio and aids media. The obstacles which happened in instructional communication are the source’s obstacle, the channel’s obstacle, the communicant’s obstacle and psychological obstacle. Instructor as the communicator used verbal and nonverbal in the activity of instructional communication.Keyword : Yoga, instructional communication, Lindz Yoga studio Pekanbaru

Abstract

Insurance is a product or service that is visible and there is no clarity of goods, therefore, the general public does not trust the insurance with a variety of things, such as a lack of confidence in the insurance, especially the old and procedures that are considered difficult to process a claim if a loss, and the rate high. PT. Jasaraharja Putera Branch Pekanbaru selling face to face (personal selling) with the aim to explain about the products offered. This study aims to determine the approach to personal selling persuasive communication strategy to improve customer on general insurance products of PT. Jasaraharja Putera, and knowing the techniques of persuasive communication in improving customers' personal selling on general insurance products of PT. Jasaraharja Putera Branch Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at PT. Jasaraharja Putera Branch Pekanbaru Jl. Jenderal Sudirman No. 258 Pekanbaru, Riau. This study uses qualitative research method with descriptive approach to data collection techniques are observation, interview (interview) and documentation. Informants in this study as many as 14 people are marketers and customers in PT. Jasaraharja Putera Branch Pekanbaru. Data were analyzed using analysis model of Miles and Huberman interactive data by collecting data obtained are then processed to be reduced, served to produce a general conclusion. The results of this study indicate that PT. Jasaraharja Putera Branch Pekanbaru in improving the customer on general insurance products using a strategy of persuasive communication by way of direct sales (personal selling) where marketers approach the strategy of psychodynamics is a strategy that focuses on emotional factors and cognitive factors with the message of persuasion, persuasion sosialkultural is changing customer behavior influenced by outside individuals or from consensus (a big boost), and the strategy of the meaning constraction is a persuasion by giving knowledge to customers through mass media. The techniques of persuasive communication by way of personal selling is done marketers to improve customer, using the technique of the yes-response technique is a technique in which marketers persuade its customers to respond to the statement that the prospective customer to answer "yes", do not ask if , ask the which is a way to provide a variety of offerings to prospective customers, and reassurance is marketers are prsikologis relationships with prospective customers.Keyword: Persuasive communication strategies, persuasive communication techniques, personal selling, and insurance

Abstract

Parking attendant as a profession that is generally dominated by men now also in demand by women. This profession become a choice because it is considered as an easy profession but producing. Until this time, in some corner of the city of Pekanbaru are found many women working as parking attendant. This study aims to determine the motive, meaning, and communication experiences of womenparking attendant in Pekanbaru.This study uses qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The subject of research is consistof sixwomenparking attendants who has been chosen using by the purposive technique. This study used data collection techniques observation, depth interviews, and documentation of research. To achieve thevalidity of the datathis study, researcher usedthe extension ofparticipationandtriangulation.The results showedfirstly, motive woman working as parking attendant consists of because motive that is in the form of economic demands, age factor, low education, there is a chance becoming parking attendant, and compulsion. While in order to motiveis stop becoming a parking attendant and stay to be a parking attendant. Secondly, the meaning of parking attendant by women parking attendant are parking attendant as a decent job, parking attendant as the fields of sustenance, and parking attendant is not women's job.Thirdly, communication experience categorized into two pleasant communication experience in the form of vehicle owners pay more parking fees,getting praise from others, getting the support from the family, and getting the support fromthe owner of the shop. While the unpleasant communication experiences in the form of responses and bad view of society, the vehicle owner who berated a woman parking attendant, the vehicle owner does not pay parking fees on vehicles, getting interference from thugs, and no support from the family.Keywords : meaning construction, woman parking attendants, motive , communication experience

Abstract

New Zealand is a small country, the same size with the Britania Raya or Japan, with a population of only four million people, this country including desolation. New Zealand diplomatic relations - Indonesia has been established since 1958. As the two democratic countries, Indonesia and New Zealand have the basis of the relationship established. This research aims to explain the ASEAN - Australia - New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA), explains the existence of economic and political interests of New Zealand against Indonesia and explained the New Zealand free trade cooperation with Indonesia in the framework of the AANZFTA Year 2012-2015.This research uses qualitative research methodology that is eksplanatif i.e. a research that tries to explain from some formulation of problems that the writer take. This research limits on : 1) the interests of the New Zealand free trade cooperation with Indonesia in the framework of the AANZFTA, 2) This Research focused on the year 2012-2015, where actually in that year Indonesia and New Zealand in the period of the implementation of the cooperation agreement AANZFTA.Based on the results of the research that has been carried out against this research, so it can be taken some conclusions, namely International Trade tax revenue from 2012-2014 export tax declined significantly, New Zealand is the main producer of products made from milk (dairy products) and flesh, timber and wood products, fish and other cereal products, machinery and agricultural products such as fruit and grain. Abstract

Danau Buatan is one of tourism areas in Pekanbaru which is managed by PT Sarana Pembangunan Kota Pekanbaru as a BUMD and Pekanbaru City Government which aims to increase District Own Source Revenue of Pekanbaru City. But, in the implementation of Danau Buatan Area as a source of revenue cannot be realized well. Thus, it causes PT Sarana Pembangunan Kota Pekanbaru as the manager of this area to take some actions which one of them isconducting management. Management, according to Hasibuan, is a typical process consists of the actions of planning, organizing, activating and controlling which is conducted to determine and to achieve the goals that have been determined through the utilization of human resources and the other resources. This research aims to see the form of the management of Pekanbaru city government in developing Danau Buatan Tourism Object as District Own Source Revenue of Pekanbaru City.This research uses the qualitative research method with descriptive approach, which can be interpreted as a problem-solving process which is investigated by describing the condition of the research subject based on the facts that appear during the research and is continued based on existing theories. In management implementation, the government of Pekanbaru City together with PT Sarana Pembangunan Kota Pekanbaru conductthe four (4) principles of managementthat are Planning, Organizing, Directing or Actuating and Controlling. Abstract

The creative industry is considered to be more important in supporting prosperity of economy. Sapulidi Center is Self-supporting institution of Society and has function as the center of the development of creative industry by establishing a place of creativity and creative industries development program in the form of UMKM such as cafe. The aim of this research is to know the strategy of communication that is done by Sapulidi Center in socializing culinary industry development program eCafe Sapulidi Center in pekanbaru.The approach of this research is descriptive method, with the approach of communication model Lasswell as the basic theory and and strategic communication model that is supported by Effendy. The subjects of research are coaches and staff of Sapulidi Center, schoolchildren / students, community groups and government agencies by using purposive sampling techniques, informant obtained as many as five people. Data collection techniques are observation, interview,andkkdocumentation.The result of research: The communication strategy that is undertaken by Sapulidi Center is by determining the target audience: schoolchildren / students, community groups and government agencies. Factors that are considered in designing the message is: message content, message structure, and message format. Communication media used face to face communication media and mass media both print and electronic media (RTV, Riau Pos, Tribun, Online media, and social media) are used to inform the news about the activities of Sapulidi Center. The role of communicators in the communication are the appeal (trust), the charismatic (emphatic) and the credibility of sources (skills and knowledge) in conveying the message.Keywords: Communication strategy, creative industry, culinary industry, Sapulidi Center

Abstract

This research analyzes the strategies used North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to it’s partner countries, Georgia. After Georgia became independent from the Soviet Union, Georgia establish cooperation with the United States and targeting membership in NATO. At Bucharest Summit in 2008 NATO supports Georgia's aspirations to become a member of the alliance and will provide the status of the Membership Action Plan (MAP) to Georgia. But Georgia did not get MAP status at the time of NATO summit at Wales in 2014 ago. NATO only offers substantial cooperation package for Georgia (Substantial NATO-Georgia Package). This research will be analyzed with international system level of analysis. The strategy is explained within the framework of neorealism, the theory of buck-passing of great power politics and the concept of power. Based on the assumption of these theories, the security dilemma and distribution capabilities encourage great power to maintain its position in the face of potential threats from other great power. NATO tried to strengthen the political influence and security in the Eastern Europe and South Caucasus Region, because of the strategic position of Georgia which is located between the two regions. Security dilemma occurs because of the political and military expansion of Russia in the separatist region of Abkhasia and South Ossetia. The expansion of NATO in Eastern Europe Region has caused a potential threat to Russia even though the Cold War was over almost two decades.Keywords: Membership, Georgia, Substantial NATO-Georgia Package, Great Power Politics, Eastern Europe and South Caucasus Region, buck-passing, NATO.

Abstract

This research was conducted in order to determine the political communication between the political elite at the General Election of President and Vice President in Rokan Hilir in 2014, this study only focused on personal communication that exists in the victory elite pair Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla. The main problem in this research is the victory of Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla in Rokan Hilir which if in math coalition of parties supporting the pair Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla has only 17 seats of the 45 seats available in the membership of the Legislative Council of Rokan Hilir , This research uses the theory of political communication, political communication strategies and theories of political elites. This research uses descriptive analysis method using a qualitative approach. This research using purposive sampling and snowball sampling that interview with the informant as the object information that aims to achieve the goal. Data used in this study are primary data and secondary data obtained through direct observation and interviews with informants research.This research took place in Rokan Hilir , which the District is not the basis of the parties supporting the coalition Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla . Political communication that took place in the General Election of President and Vice President this involves political elites inside and outside the winning team of Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla.Based on the results of the analysis of the research data in order to uncover and answer research questions related to the communication of the political elite that occurred in the victory of Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla at the General Election of President and Vice President in Rokan Hilir in 2014 ago , in this research , the authors will describe the communication that occurs between the political elite , the political elite is meant here is the local political elite and non- elite local politics.Keyword : Political Communication, Political Elite, General Elections of President and Vice President

Abstract

wide variety of community exists in Indonesia, one of which is a community of 234 Solidarity Community or shortened by 234 SC. Community 234 SC is already scattered in various regions in Indonesia and to foreign countries such as Malaysia, Beijing, and the Netherlands. Community of 234 SC is also entered in Riau, one of them is in Pekanbaru city and called 234 SC Pekanbaru. 234 SC Pekanbaru interaction and communication to improve the existence, solidarity among the members, as well as the cohesiveness in the group. This study aims to determine patterns of communication and the factors that influence the effectiveness of communication 234 SC Pekanbaru communities in building cohesiveness. This study uses qualitative descriptive method, with the selection of informants using purposive, which selects five selected informants, namely a community chief, two officers and two members of the community 234 SC Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. For the data analysis, refer to the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. For checking the validity of the data using the extension of participation and triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the community 234 SC Pekanbaru to communicate face-to -face and virtual communication in which communication and interaction that occurs can be with anyone, anytime and anywhere, communication is bi-directional, and communication networks that are formed in the form of schemes all channels. In this community interacts using symbols in the form of everyday language commonly used by the people. Cooperation in the community is more dominant than the competition, this community has a code of ethics written which is used as the norms and rules, this community always choose and create an atmosphere that fits in activities in order to create a sense of comfort and conducive, there are no rules in the selection of seating positions, joke or humor is allowed to use in order to become familiar atmosphere and not stuffy. Of communication patterns and the factors that influence the effectiveness of this form of communication that makes a community cohesiveness 234 SC Pekanbaru be solid and sustain each other. Abstract

Motivation is a very important activity to be done by a leader to each employee . Each motivation given an important role in supporting employee performance and can affect psychological in those employees. Motivation in the form of encouragement to excel in working , giving praise or awards , giving confidence to take responsibility , and the opportunity for the development of employee performance becomes an important indicator in the study to employees in the service division of PT . Agung Automall Sutomo Pekanbaru . The study, of 59 respondents indicated that the motivation that has been done by Head of Service Division at PT . Agung Automall Sutomo Pekanbaru .mempengaruhi keja satisfaction service division employees in the form of wage or salary level indicators , supervision , career promotion , working groups , and working conditions ..
