Abstract

This research that the study of diplomacy and strategy analyzes about motivation of the Vietnam military cooperation with the United States in the managing the South China Sea security threats in 2011. This research used qualitative methods which is done by explaining the case based on existing facts. The techniques used to collects data to study the case to library research in the form of journals, books, report and website. The theoretical framework applied in this research are neorealism perspective, national interest concept, nation-state analysis level, and decision making theory from Richard C. Snyder This research is motivated the Vietnam military cooperation with the United States in the managing the South China Sea security threats in 2011. The authors found that the vietnam military cooperation with the US through the MoU in 2011 was motivated by three factors. First, it aimed to increase capability navy vietnam and could bring the US Navy in the South China Sea so as to offset the naval Republic of China in the South China Sea. Second, the Memorandum of understanding is intended to safeguard the assets and economic activities of the aggressive patrols vietnam RRT in the South China Sea. Third, vietnam dare to make the Memorandum of Understanding with the United States despite being criticized China. Because, the support of the countries of Southeast Asia, namely in the form of common interests between the US, Vietnam and the countries of Southeast Asia other.Keywords: Vietnam, military cooperation, national security, South China Sea, the United States.

Abstract

This research discusses about the national interest of Indonesia in corruption eradication agenda through ASEAN Political-Security Community. As a nation, Indonesia has been trying to eradicate corruption because it has been ruining Indonesia’s vision to ensure the prosperity and security of its people. The eradication agenda became priority as the level and impact of corruption escalated drastically in Soeharto’s reign and fall. Corruption becomes more complex as it involves international actors and using more complicate methods. Indonesia realized that different approach should be used to strengthen the eradication agenda, especially to use international cooperation. Researcher focused on the national interest of Indonesia that became a prominent factor of Indonesia to propose the corruption and non traditional security issues in the building process of ASEAN Community. It resulted on agreement to make a pillar of the community that focus on politic and security issues, namely as ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC). The formulation of this research based on Rationalism perspective on International Relations, supported with various theories and concepts, such as national security, national interest, corruption and cooperation, arguments and facts. This research answered the hypothesis made by researcher that revealed ASEAN Political-Security Community becomes one of the instruments that can be used to strengthen the eradication of corruption agenda. It contains cooperation between ASEAN Member States on prevention and combat corruption, the establishment of good governance, and also to deal with the issues of transnational organized crimes. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the Influence of Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance Pekanbaru Area National Electricity Company. In this research there are two variables: Organizational Commitment ( X ) Employee Performance ( Y ) in which the population of this study were all employees remain part of the state electricity company offices Pekanbaru area with lots of samples is 76 respondents who use census techniques. Analysis of the data in this study using SPSS. The results of this study indicate that the organizational commitment consisting of affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment owned National Electricity Company employees Pekanbaru Area. And the high performance owned National Electricity Company employees Pekanbaru Area. In this research, organizational commitment and significant positive effect on employee performance Pekanbaru Area National Electricity Company.Keywords : Affective commitment, Continuing Commitment, Normative Commitment and Employee Performance

Abstract

The process of interaction in different cultural happening in society. In the process there is an understanding on the role of verbal communication and nonverbal communication, which is based on the belief that people from different cultures can adjust to accommodate other cultures. In the communication accommodation, there is a strategy used to align the communication process is being carried out, such a strategy is the convergence, divergence, and overaccommodation label. This study aims to determine the forms of accommodation such as strategy in the strategy of convergence, divergence and overaccommodation label to the communications made by the Vietnam Ethnic students and the people in Pekanbaru.To uncover these issues thoroughly and deeply, in this study is used descriptive qualitative method possible and the use of symbolic interaction approach. Data collection technique used observation, interview, and documentation. To confirm the validity of the data is done through the extension of participation and triangulation data. Informants in this study were 8 determined by purposive sampling.The results of this study indicate that the forms of convergence strategies undertaken by Vietnam Ethnic students and the people in Pekanbaru is to use Bahasain good and right way, adjust the speed and volume of sound, adjust clothing used when communicating. Forms divergence strategy is to use a different language tothe communicator, creating body movements indicate disinterest, dominating the volume and speed of speech respectively, making distance limitations. Then cause overaccommodation label is due to misunderstanding the intent to use the language of the speaker and also because excessive body movement. Objectives to be obtained in order to create balanced communication between Vietnam Ethnic students and the people in Pekanbaru.Keywords: Accommodation Communications, Student, Ethnic, Pekanbaru

Abstract

This study entitled "Redistricting Political Studies: Actor Dynamics in District of South Singkep Establishment, Lingga regency, Riau Islands Province Year 2011-2012" The background of this research with the Government Regulation number 19 of 2008 concerning the District, where the formation on new districts in an area must meet the requirements that have been set. The formulation of the problem in this research is "How Actors Dynamics in District of South Singkep Establishment, Lingga Regency of Riau Islands Province in 2011-2012". Issues contained in this thesis is the existence of multiple interests of individuals and groups to perform South Singkep District Establishment and South Singkep District not deserved to become a new sub-district in Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that describes the data descriptively. Data collection techniques used were interviews and secondary data analysis. While the source of the data used are primary data obtained from the research site in the form of research informants and supported by secondary data.Based on the results of research conducted there are some of the findings related to actors dynamics of in the Establishment of the South Singkep District, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands province, namely Berhala Island rescue, preparation for the establishment of South Singkep District, political support, political lobbying, to the absence of the chairman of Lingga Regency parliament in Plenary Meeting of Lingga Regency Parliament , in the other words, the establishment of the South Singkep District, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands province is considered less effective.Keyword: Political Redistricting, Dynamics Actor, Actor Interest

Abstract

Infotainment progran these days on many television station are rated negatively impact that could be effected to behaviour and lifesyle of the people. When infotainment program all serving divorce news, the statistic divorce among people also increased. And when infotainment also popularizing issues about affair, it turns out the affair also happened among people that brought them to divorce household. Based on demographic segments, infotainments audience more dominated by middleaged woman especially the housewifes. The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of infotainment program on television of housewife perception about divorce phenomenon at Limbungan Village Rumbai Pesisir Distirict Pekanbaru City.The method that used in this reaseacrh is quantitative method. Data collection using observation, questionnaries and documentation. To determine the effect of the influence of infotainment program on television of housewife perception about divorce phenomenon at Limbungan Village Rumbai Pesisir Distirict Pekanbaru City, the authors used simple linear regression analysi. The variable X in this reasearch were Infotainment Program on television, while the variable Y is housewife perception about divorce phenomenon at Llimbungan Village Rumbai Pesisir Distirict Pekanbaru City. Number of samples in this research were 97 people by using purposive sampling technique. Data processing trials conducted using questionnaries Statistic Program Product abd Service Solutions (SPPS) Windows version 20.The results of this research shows the influence of infotainment program on television of housewife perception about divorce phenomenon at Limbungan Village Rumbai Pesisir Distirict Pekanbaru City. It is based on the analysis of the data using a simple linear regression is Y = 0,378 + 0,897 X. With the t count 75,297 bigger when compared to t table 1,985 and 0,000 significance level less than = 0,05, therefore H1 accepted. Impressionsnof nfotainment program on television 98,4% influence on housewife perceptonat Limbungan Village, the remaining 1,6% is caused by another factor out of this reasearch. Therefore there is a significant effect between infotainment program on television of housewife perception about divorce phenomenon at Limbungan Village Rumbai Pesisir Distirict Pekanbaru City.Keyword : Infotainment, Housewife, Perceptio, Limbungan Village

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of financial performance with profitability ratios which are used as independent variables, Gross Profit Margn (GPM), Return On Investmant (ROI), Return on Equity (ROE) and Earning Per Share (EPS). while being used as the dependent variable is the price of shares in Pulp & Paper Indonesia Stock Exchange.The data used in this research is secondary data, financial highlights (annual report) and performance summary. As for the company's data Pulp & Paper Tbk listed on the Stock Exchange for 3 years ie 2012, 2013, 2014. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. the sample used was 5 Companies Pulp & Paper Tbk. Classic assumption test in this study include tests multikoliniearitas, heterocedasticity test, test for normality. Analysis of data using multiple linear regression analysis, t test, and test the coefficient of determination. Analysis of data using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 19.The results showed that the analysis of the influence of financial performance with the profitability ratio on stock prices, namely GPM, ROI, ROE and EPS on sector companies Pulp & Paper Tbk are Partial (t test) no significant effect on stock prices. The results of the koefesiens determination (R2) of 0.420, which means that the variable contribution GPM, ROI, ROE and EPS on stock prices was 24.0%. Abstract

The aim of this study was to see how the shape of Developing Attraction Lake Bandar Khayangan Lembah Sari Pekanbaru City. Development Attractions Object Bandar Khayangan Lembah Sari Lake aims to increase the potential of existing attractions and Increase PAD Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative research method with descriptive data analysis. This concept of using the teory of development tourism theory. In collecting data, the researcher used interview, observation, and documentation. By using key informants as a source of information and triangulation techniques as a sourch in view of data validitation. The result indicate tat the Developing Attraction Lake Bandar Khayangan Lembah Sari Pekanbaru City must be optimized to the maximum. The Potential that exist in Bandar Khayangan Lembah Sari Lake very diverse and if. Developed would be the leading tourist sector as Sumatera. Additionally RIPPDA Pekanbaru City policy should be made as soon as possible, because the RIPPDA a guiderline for the city of Pekanbaru in developing tourism. Abstract

The Malacca Straits is defined as the world’s most significant international maritime choke-points, and considered as straits used or international navigation, especially for international shipping who conduct oil transportation, threatened in Malacca Straits would be very detrimental to the global economy. Report issued by the International Maritime Bureau (IMB) related to piracy and armed robbery against ships obviously cause anxious by the international. The great cooperation among three three state (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) become emergency to handle this problem. The focus of this research is the MSP (Malacca Straits Patrols) initiative who build by three states specifically to solve the piracy and armed robbery in Malacca Straits. The MSP Initiative structured by three elements patrols, there is MSSP (Malacca Sea Straits Patrols), EiS (Eyes in the Sky), and IEG (Intelligence Exchange Group). This research uses International Cooperation theory which has been revealed by K.J Holsti. This research is qualitative research which is used by library observation. The result of this research prove that full commitment between Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand in MSP Initiative very effective to reduce the frequencies of piracy and armed robbery until it reaches zero level on 2014. The MSP Initiative also open wide the cooperation among big countries such US, Japan, India to strengthening the patrols in Malacca Straits.Keywords: MSP Initiatives, Malacca Straits Patrols, Piracy, Armed Robbery.

Abstract

Service marketing strategy is a set of tools that can be used marketer, which consists of various elements of a marketing program that should be considered that the implementation of the strategy defined marketers can be successful. The purpose of this study was to megetahui implementation of marketing strategy services performed charisma bukittinggi hotel.Kharisma Hotel Bukittinggi established PT. Mega Kharisma Asia Sentosa and all operating on 10 August 2002. Hotel charisma is suattu hotels are accommodation facilities that play a role in the operation of services in the form of specialty services to the community in need, Kharisma Hotel is a 2-star hotel.The results showed that the analysis of marketing strategy services at Kharisma Hotel Bukittinggi categorized very well, indicated by respondents when distributing questionnaires.Keywords: Marketing Services
