Abstract

Bugis tribe is an ethnic group that has long lived in the area of South Sulawesi. The area where the Bugis tribe resides in the central part of South Sulawesi makes this tribe in direct contact with other tribes residing in the province. For Bugis society, marriage means taking each other or Bugisnya siala '. One of the marriage customs in this Bugis Tribe is Money Panai ', where this tradition of the groom brings a certain amount of money to the prospective bride who will be used for the purpose of holding weddings and other wedding expenses. As for one film that raised the value of traditional / original culture is the film Money Panai = Maha (l) r. This study aims to determine the meaning of denotation, connotation and myths in the film Money Panai = Maha (l) r, knowing Bugis-Makassar Cultural Representation shown in Money Money Panai = Maha (l) r. This research uses qualitative research type with semiolysis analsis approach Roland Barthes. Subjects in this study are Scene-Scene in the Money Money Movement = Maha (l) r Makkita Cinema Production production in collaboration with 786 Productions. This study uses data collection techniques through documentation and literature study. To achieve the validity of data in this study, the authors use triangulation techniques. The results show that there are three corresponding meanings in Roland Barthes's semiotics. The meaning of denotation contained in the scene of the Money Panai film = = Maha (l) r describes the character of the bugis-makassar community as the Perantau, Asking for Opinion and Restu, Penjajakan, Kinship, Proposal, and Self-Esteem. Meaning of connotation gained in this film in the form of action figures, meaning of utterance based on implicit meaning in dialogue that presented depict value, custom, kinship and moral message. The meaning of myth / ideology contained in several scenes is interpreted through literature review on the culture of bugis-makassar that understand the values of customs, and culture of Self-esteem or siri 'which has been inherited and entrenched among the people of bugis-makassar. Abstract

The aims of this studyis to analyze how the influence of Chinese diaspora in Indonesia. International migration is one of the currents of globalization that causes foreign citizens to enter the Indonesian territory with various backgrounds. The ethnic of Chinese in Indonesiaalready exist for years ago, it is proved by the arrival of the first Chinese Buddhist priest named FaHien in Indonesia who became the beginning of the entrance for the people of China to Indonesia. The existence of Chinese in Indonesia more diverse.In this study, researchers used primary and secondary data. In data collection techniques using interviews, literature study and online search. This writing uses the perspective of globalism and the level of analysis of the international community. The concept used in this study is the concept of diaspora by Vertovec.The results of this study indicate that the spread of Chinese society in Indonesia gives a little impact and influence on the economy, politics, social and culture of Indonesia. This is the evident from the bilateral relations between two countries in addressing the issue of citizenship, the presence of foreign investment in Indonesia that is influential in the state economy, as well as the influence of Chinese social ethnic culture in the Indonesian society.Keywords: International migration, China Diaspora, Perspektif of Globalism, Globalization

Abstract

This study was analyzed the scavenger about their strategy to survive and their socioecomic with the secondhand warehouse owner in west Duri, Mandau, Bengkalis District. This phenomenon is one of socio phenomenon that happen in the low economic society like the secondhand scavenger in west Duri, Mandau,Bengkalis District. The writer was used surviving strategy, the adaptation of scavenger’s socioeconomic and the relationship about scavenger’s socioeconomic. The data analysis was to answered the problem of this study with the qualititative research, descriptive approach and analyzed by the theories of this research and will presented the narration form by the qualititative away. the data collection technique in this study used purposive sampling that consists of 7 scavenger’s from 2 different secondhand warehouse. based on the result of this research, the scavenger’s used 3 strategic to survive such as applied the active strategic (family abuse), the passive strategic (save the money for their life) and the last is network strategic (estabilished relationships or having good relation among other relations). then, the socioeconomic relationship between the scavengers with the owner of secondhand warehouse could running well.keywords: scavenger, survive, socioeconomic relationship

Abstract

In the Pelalawan Regional Election 2015, were won by Harris-Zardewan with a total of 68.618 votes, the writer found an interesting phenomenon, the most votes which got by Harris-Zardewan in district Langgam and Ukui which reaching 3.560 and 2.823 votes. The large votes that gained by Harris-Zardewan which that happen in district Langgam considered reasonable, due to the fact that district Langgam is the candidate's origin, Harris. However, But the quite large vote in district Ukui were questioning. This study aims to know what mechanisms and strategies of political communication patterns conducted by Harris-Zardewan to gained large votes in district Ukui.The method that the writer used in this research is qualitative method. There were 8 respondent in this research, consisting Pelalawan Election Commission secretary, Harris-Zardewan winning team, representatives of community organizations and representatives of the community. The data in this research was collected by interview and documentation. Then the data processed by using qualitative methods.From the research, the writer concluded that political communication mechanism strategy that used by Harris-Zardewan is by using their last period in their duty to being closer to Pelalawan Region people, especially in district Ukui. Therefore, their political communication pattern that used by Harris-Zardewan was direct and open campaign to Pelalawan Region people, in district Ukui, open discussion, and formal visits as incumbent in this regional election.Keywords: Communication Strategy, Regional Election, Political Communication

Abstract

The city of Pekanbaru has a densely populated population of more than one million people. Along with the development of the city of Pekanbaru into a Metropolitan City, it is inseparable from various problems that arise, namely the problem of flooding. The problem of flooding is a problem that does not resolve every year. This was caused by the development of Pekanbaru City which was not followed by adequate flood control infrastructure systems. In this case, of course, the public spotlight on the performance of the government in overcoming flood problems in the city of Pekanbaru. The formulation of the problem in this study is What is the public perception of the performance of the Pekanbaru City Government in 2015-2017 Flood Control?This study aims to find out how public perceptions of the performance of the Pekanbaru City Government in flood control in 2015-2017 are seen from aspects: (1) Productivity, (2) Service Quality, (3) Responsiveness, (4) Responsibility, and (5) Accountability. This research is a descriptive study using the Mixed Method approach. The data collection technique in this study is to use a survey technique by taking a sample of 100 people from one population using a questionnaire as a means of collecting basic data and using interview techniques with as many as 10 informants. Data analysis used for quantitative methods is quantitative analysis and analysis for qualitative methods using qualitative analysis, and finally is analyzing data combined with qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis.The results of the study concluded that public perception regarding the performance of the Pekanbaru City Government in 2015-2017 flood control was still not good. This is shown from the results of the average value of each indicator (productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility, and accountability) which is equal to 1.95 which is in the range of 1.76 - 2.50 which shows unfavorable criteria. In this case the public considers that the Pekanbaru City Government has not been able to optimize the implementation of flood control in Pekanbaru City.Keywords: Public Perception, Performance of Pekanbaru City Government, Flood Control

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the capital structure and investment decisions on the value of the company. The population in this research is all food and beverage industries listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange which amounted to 15 companies with period 2012-2014. The data measurement technique in this research use the ratio of DER, PER and PBV, result of data analysis or regression result stated that capital structure have negative effect to capital structure, investment decision have positive effect to firm value and simultaneously capital structure and investment decision have significant effect to firm value . Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Indojaya Agrinusa Pekanbaru Hatchery Unit as for the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of quality and price product on consumer satisfaction (Study at PT. Indojaya Agrinusa Pekanbaru Hatchery Unit). The quality and price Products are independent variables (X1X2) While consumer satisfaction is the dependent variable (Y). The method in this study is quantitative where the sample used in this study is consumers of PT. Indojaya Agrinusa Pekanbaru Hatchery Unit was taken as many as 100 respondents. The data obtained from the results of baking and then processed to be tested with statistics through the SPSS program. From the results of testing conducted shows that quality product partially affects consumer satisfaction, prices partially affect consumer satisfaction, and quality and prices product have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction (study at PT. Abstract

This research is motivated by the Controlling of entertainment venues, so that there are no deviations committed by entertainment venues in the District of Tampan, Pekanbaru City, especially internet cafes. Pekanbaru City Civil Service Police Unit as Enforcement of Regional Regulation must work optimally for the implementation of Pekanbaru City Regulation No. 3 of 2002 concerning General Entertainment. In controlling the internet cafes, which are indicated to violate regulations related to Perda No. 3 of 2002, it is necessary to have approaches to control the internet cafes in a professional manner and not violate the applicable rules including through the process of persuasive, preventive and repressive action (task) approaches               Problem formulation in this research, namely how the Civil Service Police role in controlling operational hours of entertainment (warnet) in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with data collection instruments including interviews, documentation studies related to research objectives.               The results of the study illustrate that the role of the Satpol PP Pekanbaru City must be increased again in carrying out the duties, responsibilities and applicable SOPs. Included in the regulation of internet cafes entertainment places that violate Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2002 concerning Public Entertainment. There is a need for special attention in the implementation of policies that must be made or issued by the city and provincial governments related to material and non-material support to the Satpol PP Pekanbaru City, so that Perda No. 3 of 2002 can run optimally. Factors such as persuasive, preventive and repressive tasks or actions that affect the role of the Pekanbaru City Satpol PP are considered not effective in carrying out the duties of the Pekanbaru City Civil Service Police Unit in accordance with Bylaw No. 03 of 2002, so that controlling public places for internet cafes in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City is not optimal                                                                                                                                   Keywords: Persuasive Actions, Preventiv, Repressive.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the role of international labour organization (ILO) against child labour in thailand in 2010-2014. Thailand is one of the transit countries, source, and destination for child labor internationally. This condition causes the Thai government began to realize the urgency of the dangers of child labor. The development of anti-trafficking level Thai government intensively conducted since 2006. However, since 2006 anyway, Thailand experienced a significant increase in child labor. This research was designed to investigate the causes of the increasing cases of child labor in Thailand along the Thai government increased efforts in combating child labor.The method of data collecting is done by collecting secunder data, then analyzed in qualitative to obtain the draft about the main problem by using deductive method. The method of this research is the method of qualitative descriptive. The data is obtained through secunder data such as, book, journal, magazine, newspaper and website.International Labor Organization (ILO) focuses on eliminating the problem of child labor with the problem formulation, ILO used cultural and economic factors as the main causes of child labor. In cultural factors, there is the view that the way of life of indigenous communities and beliefs both put women under men. This ultimately has implications for the emergence of child labor. While economic factors are based on the factors of poverty, unemployment led to the migration flows have implications for the emergence of crime background material, then put forward the argument that child labor can occur because of the assumption that child labor as a reasonable step to make ends meet. The existence of migration flows in Thailand with hopes of finding a better life also make things worse.Keywords: ILO, Thailand, Child Labor, Cultural factor, Economy factor

Abstract

This paper is a bilateral trade study that provides an explain of the Cooperation of two countries. This research discusses about ““Indonesia’s Interest in Importing of Apple in 2010-2014”. The purpose of this research is to know why Indonesia to Cooperate with Tingkok in import of apple. Import of apple is one of the causes of trade deficit between Indonesia and Tiongkok. Tiongkok is the biggest apple producer in the world and Indonesia is one of the country importing apples from Tiongkok.This is qualitative research which used descriptive explanative methods, and collecting datas from books, journals, articles, mass media, official ublications and relevant websites. This paper used the liberalism perspective written by David Ricardo and Adam Smith, analysis unit nation-state and this paper uses theory of International Trade, in this case the theory of comparative advantage by David Ricardo because there is competition between local apple and imported apple, so it takes a significant Indonesian government policy in the process of buying and selling Chinese orange fruit and fruits Local oranges.The result of this research is that Indonesia imports apple from Tiongkok because the productivity of local apple is less in fulfilling domestic consumption and Tiongkok is the biggest Importer country for Indonesia. Also influenced by the composition of imported apples , apple marketing and imported apple prices that are cheaper than local apples.Keywords: Import duty, International Cooperate, Interest, Liberalism perspective.
