Abstract

Indonesia is a developing country, so development is echoed in various aspects in the interests of equitable development and human welfare. In order to achieve the expected development, public participation in these development activities is required. Community involvement in development means the voluntary participation of the community in the processes of the development activities carried out. In this study, researchers examine the phenomenon of public participation in infrastructure development in Pasir Jaya Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency linked to the Village Fund. The theory used in this research is rational choice theory. To examine the data obtained, the author uses qualitative research methods with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data supporting this research are divided into primary and secondary data. The results of this study suggest that the Village Fund Allocation in Pasir Jaya Village is based on Village Law No. 6 of 2014 and based on the Permendesa. In addition, the results of this study show that participation in development in Pasir Jaya Village is high in the operational dimension with personnel involvement and fruit utilization in the economy, on the one hand development certainty in Pasir Jaya Village is also low in providing ideas and funds donate.Keywords: Village Fund, Participation, Infrastructure Development

Abstract

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Balai Prasarana Settlement Riau region, has the task of carrying out government tasks in the field of physical work/infrastructure development in Riau Province which is funded by the State Budget throughout Riau Province. This study discusses the Impact of the Construction of a Waste Water Management Installation (WWTP) in Pekanbaru City. Sustainable development has three pillars, namely environmental sustainability, economics, and social behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine how the impact of the construction of a Wastewater Management Installation (IPAL) in Pekanbaru City. The research method is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach, which is descriptive. Data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the Impact of the Construction of Waste Water Management Installation (WWTP) in Pekanbaru City had not run optimally because it lacked in socializing and providing understanding to the community about this WWTP project.Keywords: Sustainable Development, IPAL, Development Impact

Abstract

This research is done focusing on the role of ACWC in Indonesia on combatting trafficking of women in 2018-2020. ACWC is a regional corporation under ASEAN, focusing on the protection of women’s and children’s rights, including all transnational women protection activities im ASEAN’s member states. Thiss reserach is aiming to understand the role of one group to another group.            This research is done by using international organisation theory, group analysis level to understand the influence of a group on certain issue. The datas are collected by using qualitative methodology, collecting datas by using library research method, most of the datas are published by ACWC official website, ASEAN official website, journals and books that talking abut women trafficking in Indonesia.The result of this research showed that ACWC contibuting in helping Indonesia on combatting women trafficking is done by many ways, through assisting law that is needed in Indonesia, National Action Plan, establishing law corporation in national level,  providing support in medical and law capacity, improving public awareness by doing gender mainstreaming in programmes and social champagne in public.  Key Words: ACWC, Indonesia, Women Trafficking, ASEAN, Sexual Exploitation

Abstract

This research discussed Indonesia's motivation in export affiliation of Indonesian-Dutch home decorations to Europe. This research aimed to explain and determine the reasons and the partnership between the two countries to continue expanding export opportunities for Indonesian home decoration products which have abundant potential for raw materials to the European market.  The European market is an appropriate and well-determined in competing, Seeing the suitable market in Europe, making many developing countries also look to this market to export the same product. Thus, it requires that a country must have an understanding of the destination market and good product quality in order to compete and continue to be in demand in the market. Perpective used in this research is mercantilism perspective, and level of analysis used is the nation state.  The theory used in this research is the theory of international cooperation to explain the facts that occur, as well as the data that the author collects from books, journals, articles, websites, and inquires directly through social media to units of the Directorate General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. This research showed that it is very important to build collaboration  between Indonesia-Dutch to increase the export of Indonesian home decor products.  Efforts are being made to increase exports and improve the quality of Indonesian products by improving the quality of human resources, understanding the European market, training and guidance, and participating in various exhibitions as a promotional event as well as attracting buyers to open up more export opportunities for home decoration products Indonesia to other countries, especially European countries.Keywords: Export, Home Decoration, European Market, Indonesia-Dutch, Developing Countries.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem of this research is how the perception of Sociology FISIP students at Riau University towards online lectures and also how much influence the perceptions of Sociology FISIP students at Riau University towards online lectures. the effect of perceptions of Sociology students, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Riau on online lectures. The collected data will be coded after the data will be tabulated. Data in tabular format is analyzed and described both quantitatively and descriptively. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that most research respondents do not agree with the bold learning method and want to immediately return to learning as usual on campus. The online learning method is considered less effective for the learning system because the research respondent students assess the direct learning system to be much more effective than online lectures. This should be an evaluation so that bold learning can be done innovatively so that it can be well received by students without reducing its essence. and  the need to manage communication  between lectures and students for application in learning disciplineKeywords: Online Lecture, Impact of Online Lecture, Student Perception of Online Lecture

Abstract

 This research  analyzes how the influence of Illegal Fishing in the Exclusive Economic Zone on the economy in Natua Regency. Illegal fishing activities in WPP-RI have resulted in huge losses for Indonesia, one of which is material losses caused by illegal fishing. In mid-2016, in March, May and June, three Chinese fishing boats were caught carrying out illegal fishing activities in the North Natuna Sea. The Joko widodo government made efforts which can be broadly classified into two approaches, namely the hard approach by strengthening the enforcement of maritime defense, security and safety to protect the territory and marine resources, and the soft approach by strengthening diplomacy. and maritime negotiations. These two efforts are to realize Indonesia as the world's maritime axis.This research uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through literature studies sourced from several books, journals, articles, websites. This study uses the perspective of Liberalism and the theory of Maritime Security. The results of this paper indicate that Material Losses are set based on the basic assumption. If MSY (Maximum Sustainable Yield = Maximum Sustainable Catch) of fish = 6.4 million tons / year, then what is lost is stolen and disposed of around 1.6 million tons / year . If the selling price of fish abroad is an average of 2 USD/kg, the annual loss can reach Rp. 30 trillion. Keywords: Illegal Fishing, Maritime Security, Chinese Fishermen.

Abstract

Parenting is a manifestation of the way parents guide their children so that children can respond to the norms and values that exist in society. The purpose of this study is to find out what causes a person to become a single parent and to find out what parenting styles are used by single parents in guiding their children. This study uses role theory with a qualitative descriptive approach and data collection techniques used are observation and interviews using the criteria of research subjects that have been determined. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the cause of a person becoming a single parent is due to divorce and death. The cause of divorce is a cheating spouse and other causes because there is no longer compatibility in the household. Meanwhile, the separation due to death is caused by a spouse who is sick. The parenting pattern used by single parents in Batang Serosa village differs between boys and girls. Single parent girls are stricter in giving different rules than boys, single parents give more freedom because boys tend to rebel more often than girls.   Keyword: Parenting, Single Parent

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy of the Riau Province Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office in obtaining the 2019 Child Eligible Province mover award and the inhibiting and supporting factors in the Riau Province Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office in obtaining the 2019 Child Eligible Province mover award.The location of the research was carried out at the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection in Riau Province. This study involved 5 informants, namely the Head of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Staff for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Secretary of the Riau Province Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office, Pekanbaru City KLA Cluster Team and other KLA cluster teams. Data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, documentation and literature. The data analysis technique used in this study uses interactive analysis which includes three components: (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions.The results of this study: (1) The strategies adopted by the Riau Province Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in the Development of Eligible Children in Riau Province in Riau Province in 2019 there are three (3) strategies, diversification strategies, preventive strategies and innovative strategies. (2) The inhibiting factors of the Riau Province Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection in the Development of Child Friendly Provinces in Riau Province are first, the lack of socialization to the community. Second, budget constraints, and third, the lack of community participation. (3) The supporting factors of the Riau Province Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in the Development of Child Friendly Provinces in Riau Province are first, the existence of collaboration with SKPD and second, the community as an intermediary. Keywords: strategy, coordination, and DPPPA.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain and find out the development of cooperation between Indonesia and the European Union through the ARISE Plus Indonesia Program. and knowing the specific purpose of the European Union providing grant funds to Indonesia through the ARISE Plus Indonesia Program.This study uses the perspective of liberalism, the level of international system analysis, the theory of comparative advantage, the method used is qualitative by connecting the causes and effects of research that occurs using library research techniques, and this study collects data through secondary data.The results of this research can be obtained that ARISE Plus Indonesia is one of the leading initiatives under the framework of the 2014-2020 EU-Indonesia cooperation. ARISE Plus Indonesia mainly works to strengthen EU-Indonesia cooperation, the program abbreviated as ARISE Plus Indonesia is a 5-year grant program worth 10 million Euros or around Rp. 168 billion to improve export competitiveness and Indonesia's integration in global value chains. The European Union is the third largest investor in Indonesia with foreign direct investment of EUR 1.28 billion, after Malaysia and Singapore based on data from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). The European Union provides grants to Indonesia so that Indonesian products can be competitive in the international market, and the European Union also needs Indonesian products to support the needs of their country.  Keywords: Grants, Indonesia-European Union Cooperation, ARISE Plus Indonesia

Abstract

This journal discusses the role of UNICEF in managing acute malnutrition in children in Yemen through the Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) programme. Yemen is one of the countries with a worrying case of acute malnutrition in children due to the ongoing conflict and making Yemen as a country with the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Acute malnutrition is one of the existing health problem in Yemen that has a major impact on children's development. Therefore, UNICEF and its partners implemented the CMAM programme which aims to manage acute malnutrition in children by conducting community outreach. This study describes the role of UNICEF as an international organization in managing acute malnutrition in Yemen in 2018-2020.            This study uses a pluralism perspective that supports International Organization theory and groups as the level of analysis. This study uses qualitative methods and literature study as a source of information. The author collects data related to the problem under study such as from books, journals, websites,            The results of this study explain the role of UNICEF as an instrument, arena and independent actor in tackling acute malnutrition in Yemen in 2018-2020. UNICEF as an instrument performs its role to tackle acute malnutrition through the CMAM programme which effects cases of acute malnutrition in Yemen. UNICEF as an arena can be seen through the meetings and discussions held by UNICEF to tackle acute malnutrition in Yemen. UNICEF as an independent actor means running a program to tackle acute malnutrition in Yemen without any outside influence. The CMAM programme that run by UNICEF in Yemen during 2018-2020 in tackling acute malnutrition can be said to be unsuccessful because cases of acute malnutrition have increased due to several factors.Keywords: Roles of  UNICEF, Community Management of Acute Malnutrition
