Abstract

Coffee shop sebagai salah satu ruang publik yang menjadi daya tarik anak muda untuk dikunjungi, hal tersebut dikarenakan fungsi ruang tidak hanya sebatas ruang konsumsi semata, coffee shop menjadi fenomena di kalangan muda, sebagai ruang yang memunculkan beragam aktivitas sebagai citra gaya hidup yang dipengaruhi oleh nilai-nilai modernisme. Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui latar belakang kunjungan mahasiswa ke Coffee Shop Ugoku.Co dan Titik Kumpul Coffee Brewers serta fungsi ruang coffee shop bagi mahasiswa. Pemilihan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan aksidental sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa kunjungan coffee shop bagi mahasiswa dilatarbelakangi oleh pilihan secara rasional dengan mempertimbangkan pilihan dan keuntungan untuk mencapai tujuan, selain itu fungsi ruang menurut Francois Marie Charles Fourier dalam “the phalanxes” dan Henri Lefebvre dalam representasi ruang secara sosial, sehingga fungsi coffee shop terdefinisikan sebagai ruang rekreasi, ruang relaksasi, ruang belajar, dan trend anak muda yang melakukan aktivitas sosial yang menciptakan kebahagiaan di komunitas tersebut. Kata Kunci: Coffee Shop, Mahasiswa, Teori Ruang

Abstract

This research aims to explain the causes of the emergence of policies that explicitly reject Latin American immigrants during the leadership of President Donald Trump, even though the United States managed to overcome the immigrant crisis that occurred in the previous leadership. Migration flows continued to decline until Trump's time, but he still issued a fairly tough policy against immigrants by implementing Zero Tolerance Policy. This policy had an impact on immigrants that crossing the United States-Mexico border, namely Latin American immigrants, which led to many children being forced to separate from their parents, sparking protests and finally being stopped by executive order.The Adaptive Model by James N. Rosenau is the theory used in analyzing the problem in this research. The foreign policy taken by a country is the result of changes, both from inside and outside the country. Change is the center of adaptation, so in this theory foreign policy is caused by three variables, leadership, internal change and external change. The policy was taken as a response to changes in order for the essential structure adaptable and maintain internal values.The release of the Zero Tolerance Policy which rejected the entry of Latin American immigrants as a result of the leadership change that occurred in the United States. President Donald Trump, who sees external influences as threatening the essential structure of his country, takes steps to defend internal values. This policy adapts the intransigent pattern, which is influenced by transactionalism and the Jacksonian style, so in the end the policies taken become ineffective.Keywords: America First, Donald Trump, United States of America, Zero Tolerance Policy.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of employee absenteeism problems, limited electricity supply, limited pipelines and limited pumps and distribution installation pipelines which have an impact on water supply that is not smooth and cannot meet customer needs in what is happening at the Regional Water Company (PDAM). Tirta Indragiri Hilir Tembilahan. The purpose of this study was to find out how the effectiveness of employee performance at the Regional Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Indragiri, Indragiri Hilir Regency, and to determine the factors inhibiting the effectiveness of its employee performance. This study used qualitative research methods. The selection of informants in this study used a purpose sampling technique. Collecting primary data from interviews, and secondary data from documentation and literature review. From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of employee performance at the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Indragiri, Indragiri Hilir Regency when viewed from the two criteria used in measuring employee performance, namely Ability and Motivation, the results are still not optimal. Factors inhibiting the effectiveness of employee performance at the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Indragiri, Indragiri Hilir Regency, namely the low quality and quantity of human resources owned by the company, as well as limited facilities and infrastructure. Keywords: Performance, Employees, PDAM

Abstract

The implementation of this policy regarding IMB needs special attention by the Siak Regency  Government, the number of buildings that do not have an IMB occurs due to factors such as lack of public knowledge about IMB, difficulties in managing it, as well as costs that are felt to be too expensive to take care of permits. The aims of this research are: (1) To find out how the issuance of Building Construction Permits (IMB) at the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) in Siak Regency in 2018 and (2) To determine the quality of public services in the issuance of Building Construction Permits (IMB) based on the dimensions tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy at the One Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPMPTSP) in Siak Regency).The theory used in this study is the theory of the determinants of the quality of public services according to Parasuraman et al, which consists of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Data collection techniques used in this study  were  interviews and documentation. This research was conducted at the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) in Siak Regency.The results of this study indicate that the existence of standard operating procedures for services that have been regulated in the provisions of the legislation has provided a guarantee of timeliness of service, legality of services and determination of service fees / tariffs submitted by operator officers can give confidence to the applicant to process the IMB application. Keywords:      Building Construction Permit (IMB), Public Service Study, Siak Regency DPMPTSP

Abstract

This reseach is titled “The Factors which influence to the society participation on the garbage bank program in the district Tampan of Pekanbaru City”. The purpose of this research to know the level of society participation on the gerbage bank program pekanbaru city. As for the method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study is namely gerbage bank costumer with the number of samples 62 respondents. Variabel in this study is education,profession,family income, and long stay (domicile). Data is analized with product moment correlation. Based on the results of the study, the level of society participation on the waste program in the category of “ medium” is 67,74% while the”high” category is only 22,58%, and factors which influencer to the society participation on the waste in the district Tampan of Pekanbaru City is Education with R value of 0,278, Profession with R value -0,166, Family Income with R value -0,181,and long stay (domicile) with r value of -0,238. Abstract

The development of television as a provider of information has progressed rapidly. Television as a means of providing information for people who need information, both nationally and internationally. The information presented is useful for users to increase knowledge or only as a medium for entertainment.  The good news or television program can not be separated from the leadership function that goes well to direct employees to get quality news and events.  This study aims to identify and understand the function of the leadership directed by the news leader which consists of the functions of instruction, consultation, participation, delegation and control. Is this function running well in the news section of LPP TVRI Riau Station?This study uses a qualitative research method using a descriptive approach, which is a research process and understanding based on a research methodology that investigates a social phenomenon and human problem.  The informants in this study were 5 people who were taken based on the snowball technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through field observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses a comparative descriptive analysis model, namely the data analysis is carried out interactively and takes place continuously until it is complete so that the data is saturated. Techniques for checking the validity of the data using triangulation and negative case analysis.This research was conducted based on the results of observations (observations), interviews and documentation, it can be concluded that the leadership function is in accordance with the concept of Rivai (2012), which at LPP TVRI Riau Station has implemented a leadership function such as the leadership instruction function where the leader always provides motivation to  mobilizing others to carry out orders from superiors, in the consulting function the leadership provides positive input to find a way out of the reporting problems faced, during operational preparation and implementation, the leadership participates in providing and releasing employees for spaciousness, at the time of reporting employees are given delegation of authority at work, and during reporting and broadcasting activities, the leadership has carried out control according to the SOPs at LPP TVRI Riau Station.

Abstract

The family is the smallest unit in society whose relationship is bound by marital relations in which the nuclear family is the father, mother and child who have their respective roles and functions. There are several functions of the family, namely the function of the economy and the function of affection or affection. To meet the economic needs that play a role in this case is the head of the family, but over time and the increasing number of needs this is not only done by the head of the family, but housewives have contributed to this. The topic of this research focus is, "Shifting Functions in Families of Female Migrant Workers in Teluksamak Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency". The issues raised are, What is the process and mechanism for the departure of migrant workers and what is the form of shift in the migrant worker's family. The purpose of this study was to determine the process and mechanism for the departure of migrant workers and the form of shift in function within the migrant worker's family. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The research location is in Teluksamak Village, Rangsang Sub-district, Meranti Islands Regency. As for the informants in this study amounted to 5 people according to the specified criteria (propositive sampling). Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation techniques. In general, the results of this research are housewives who work as migrant workers regularly enter Malaysia every month using a passport and ship transportation with a working time of 24-27 days per month. The shift that occurs is the exchange of roles between husband and wife in a household where the wife earns a living and the husband takes care of the children and other household needs. Keywords: Shift function, family

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kayu Raja Village, Keritang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency with the aim of knowing the activities of women workers in the copra processing business and describing the working relationship between toke (copra processing business owners) and women workers in copra processing businesses. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interview techniques, direct observation and documentation. The results of the analysis show that there are several work activities carried out in the copra processing business, starting from the process of opening the crest, cleavage, transportation, drying, collecting coconuts, gouging, the process of dividing the shell and the process of burning the shell which will become charcoal. Copra processing workers come from the Bugis tribe so that in interacting they use symbols, namely the Bugis language. The results of the analysis of research observations show that there is a strong relationship between female workers and toke, supported by kinship ties and ethnic similarities which are the capital for forming relationships. There is a social exchange that creates a reciprocal relationship between toke and workers so that the relationship is maintained, where if workers have problems they will ask for help to toke both materially and non-materially. Although wages are in the form of shells, there is a greater value obtained than wages, namely the assistance provided.  Keywords: Relationship, Female Workers, Coconut Copra

Abstract

This study was conducted in Fly Over District pasarpagi in Sidomulyo Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this research is the social capital of street vendors who previously sold around the pasarpagi of the arengka. The focus topic of this research is knowing the barriers from the social capital of street vendors who previously sold around the morning market. The author uses qualitative methods and uses Sampling techniques purposive. Data instruments are observations, interviews and documentation. From the research conducted, the authors found that the research found that there were several social capital merchants who previously sold around the morning market of Arengka, namely the following: Trust, research finds the subject Research should start building new relationships with new customers. Give confidence to new customers who ask to be owed. This attitude is because the subject of research has missed many customers so have to re-find the new customer. Social networking, research finds, post-research subjects were displaced from the construction site of fly over Arengka, found the fact that research subjects should form a new social network especially with fellow traders. Values and norms, research finds the form of value and the norm that the subject of research is maintaining good relations with fellow PKL and assisting each other in trading.Research also finds that there are some obstacles from the social capital of merchants who previously sold around the morning market of Arengka, namely the following: difficult to acquire new customers, research finds that the subject of research difficulties Get new customers after being upset from a previous trading location. It is also due to the current trading location is less strategic. The trade location is not strategic, research finds the most fundamental economic change felt by research subjects especially due to the current trading location is not strategic. Keywords: Trust, Social Networking, Values and Norms

Abstract

The environment based on Article 1 point (1) of Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management states the unity of space with all objects, forces, conditions, and living things, including humans and their behavior, which affect nature itself, the continuity of life , and the well-being of humans and other living things. Water pollution is one of the most common pollutions in various regions because water is a basic need for human life on this earth. In accordance with its use, water is used as drinking water, water for sanitation and water for transportation, both in rivers and at sea. Water is also used to improve the quality of human life, namely to support industrial and technological activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of the environmental service in controlling water pollution and to analyze the obstacles in implementing the role of the environmental service in controlling water pollution in Siak Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative methodBased on the results of the study, it shows that the role of the Environmental Service in Controlling Water Pollution in Perawang has not been effective, because water pollution is still happening and there are still complaints from the public about polluted water. In addition, there are also obstacles such as: a) Lack of appropriate human resources in the field and expertise in water pollution, b) Limited funds which make it difficult for the government and the Environment Service to tackle water pollution, and c) Waste water treatment facilities are not yet available. sufficient to make the disposal of the waste still in the location of the local residents' land. Keywords: The Role of the Environmental Service, Water Pollution
