Abstract

The Sakinah Family Assistance Village (KBKS) in Siak Regency has been started in 2012 in the experimental phase. In 2016, the Siak Regency Government made regulations regarding the Sakinah Family Assisted Village which is regulated in Regent Regulation Number 14 of 2016 concerning Technical Guidelines for the Development Pattern of Sakinah Family Assisted Village in Siak Regency and Regent Regulation Number 16 of 2016 concerning Guidelines for Implementation of Sakinah Family Assisted Village Activities. in Siak Regency which explains that there are 6 patterns of guidance which are an effort of the Siak Regency Government to carry out guidance to the community in order to improve the quality of religious practice and family economic welfare. Tasik Seminai Village is one of the expansion villages in Siak Regency which carried out the Sakinah Family Assisted Village in 2019, where there had been a pilot village that carried out this guidance before, the development of the Sakinah Family Assisted Village in this village should run according to what the government has ordered. plan.The purpose of this study is to describe the pattern of fostering the Sakinah Family Assisted Village (KBKS) in Tasik Seminai Village, Koto Gasib District in 2019.The theoretical concept used is the theory of coaching by Santoso. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview and documentation.The results of this study are the pattern of fostering the Sakinah Family Assisted Village (KBKS) in Tasik Seminai Village, Koto Gasib District in 2019 is not optimal. The guidance carried out in Tasik Seminai Village is not in accordance with the regulations set by the government, the guidance only focuses on religious activities and ignores economic development. Keywords: Pattern, Sakinah Family Assisted Village, Coaching

Abstract

This research discusses agricultural product export activities where the commodities discussed is the competitiveness of Indonesian and Vietnamese coffee to the United States market in 2015-2019. The author chose this title because he was interested in analyzing the effect of world coffee prices, domestic coffee prices, per capita income and American coffee consumption on Indonesian and Vietnamese coffee exports to America.The method used is qualitative method. Qualitative methods seek to understand and interpret the meaning of an event of human behavior interaction in a particular situation according to the perspective of the researcher himself. Research that uses qualitative research aims to understand the object under study in depth. The research data is obtained from books, journals, official websites, and articles with valid sources that support the author's research. The author uses a perspective of liberalism and a level of the nation-state analysis. And the theory used in the research is Absolute advantage according to Adam Smith. Adam Smith stated that trade between two countries will be based on the element of absolute advantage in certain commodities owned by a country. Countries that have absolute advantages on certain commodities relative to their trading partner countries will export these commodities to their trading partner countries. Conversely, a country will import commodities that have absolute disadvantages.The result of this research research is that Indonesian coffee exported is still low, so it does not get a price premium like coffee from Vietnam. The weak competitiveness of Indonesian coffee is related to market share by buyers, and the relatively high export costs. Indonesia still has the opportunity to develop organic coffee beans for export. Key words : Exports, Competitiveness, market, economic, Absolute Advantage Theory

Abstract

This research was conducted in hr.soebrantas street of Tampan Pekanbaru Riau District with the problem (1) How the economic condition of street food and beverage vendors in jalan HR. Soebrantas? (2) What are the efforts of street food and beverage vendors in meeting the needs of life on the road HR.soebrantas?. The purpose of this research is to find out the economic condition of street food and beverage vendors at night on HR Street. Soebrantas at this time and know what survival efforts are doing street vendors on HR Street. Soebrantas. This research is quantitative research, the subject in this study of food and beverage traders. Researchers took samples with the slovin formula. With a sample of 72 respondents. To collect data researchers used documentation guidelines and questionnaires. The results of this study show traders still look difficult in economic conditions and require a lot of adjustment in survival. Keywords: Street Vendors, Economic Conditions

Abstract

This research discusses the role of the World Food Program (WFP) in dealing with the food crisis in Haiti after hurricane Matthew 2016-2017. The purpose of this study is to identify and explain the role of the World Food Program (WFP) in dealing with the food crisis in Haiti after hurricane Matthew. Consecutive natural disasters and low income are the background of the food crisis in Haiti. In dealing with these problems, the government of Haiti needs help from outside to restore the state of the country, especially in dealing with food problems due to the difficulty of people getting and accessing food. For this reason, WFP as an international organization in the field of food intervenes to solve the problem of hunger in Haiti. This research is a qualitative research, which is explained based on the facts at the level of group behavior analysis. The author uses the theory of international organizations in the concept of food security by using a pluralism perspective. To discuss this issue, the authors collected data from books, journals, websites, data reports from WFP, regarding the role of WFP in dealing with the food crisis in Haiti after hurricane Matthew in 2016-2017. The findings of this study indicate that WFP implements several programs in dealing with problems in Haiti, namely Emergency Operations (EMOP), Relief and Rehabilitation Operations (PRRO), Development Operations (DEV), and Special Operation (SO). In overcoming the food crisis in Haiti, WFP acts as an instrument by creating and implementing its programs, acting as an arena or forum by opening open donations as a forum for other actors who want to help Haiti deal with the food crisis, and WFP acts as an actor that is, WFP can freely request, obtain and cooperate with other international organizations and several countries without coercion and the interest of power. Keyword: Role, International Organization, WFP, Haiti, Hurricane Matthew, Food Insecurity

Abstract

Zamrud National Park was appointed through the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 350 / Menlhk / Setjen / PLA.2 / 5/2016 on May 4, 2016 with an area of 31,480 ha. The phenomenon in this problem is that there is still a lot of damage that occurs in the Zamrud National Park area and also access to the area that is not yet available. This study aims to determine how the management of the Zamrud National Park and what are the factors that influence the management of the Zamrud National Park. The theoretical concept used in this research is G.R Terry's management theory which consists of planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring. This research uses qualitative research methods and descriptive analysis of data. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation and documentation using informants as a source of information. The results of the study indicate that the management of Zamrud National Park by the Riau Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA) has been running but it is still not optimal because there are still several deficiencies in the management. One of the challenges faced by the Riau Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA) is because the Zamrud National Park area has a high level of forest and land fire vulnerability. Keywords: Management, Zamrud National Park, Peat Swamp

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyse financial performance starndards from the 2015-2019 period. This research uses secondary data in the form of data obtained by the author through statements of CV. Muara Permai in Pekanbaru required researchers to analyse liquidity, solvency, profitability and activity. The results of the analysis show that the analysis of the financial statements of CV. Muara Permai from the 2015-2019 period based on the ratio of liquidity, solvency, profitability and activity are: 1) liquidity ratio analysis, current ratio gets “Bad” predicate; 2) analysisof the solvency ratio, debt to total assets ratio got the”Very Good”predicate, and debt to equity ratio got the “ Very Good” predicate; 3) analysis of profitability ratios, return on assets received the predicate “Bad”, return on equity received the predicate “Bad”, gross profit margin received the predicate “Very Good”, and net profit margin received the predicate “Not Good”; 4) analysis of activity ratios, total assets turnover received the predicate “Not Good”, and working capital turnover received the predicate “Good”.   Keywords: Financial Performance, Liquidity, Solvency and Activity.

Abstract

Tourist facilities are the main component that determines the proper running of tourism activities. This research was conducted at Tanjung Motong Beach, Rangsang Barat District, Meranti Island Regency. Tanjung Motong Beach is the only marine tourism in West Rangsang District which is set in a priority tourist attraction by the Meranti Island Regency Tourism Office. Existing tourist facilities at Tanjung Motong Beach consist of main facilities, supporting facilities and complement facilities that must complement one another in order to create a good and comfortable tourist attraction. This study aims to determine how the management of tourist facilities at Tanjung Motong Beach, Rangsang Barat District, Meranti Islands Regency and the obstacles experienced by tourist attraction managers in managing tourist facilities. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation techniques with data collection techniques through key informant purposive sampling. This study describes the general description of Tanjung Motong Beach, Rangsang Barat District, Meranti Island Regency as well as how to manage tourist facilities and the obstacles experienced by beach managers in managing tourist facilities starting from the main facilities, supporting facilities and complement facilities. Keywords : Management, Tourism Facilities, Marine Tourism, Beaches

Abstract

As soon as US President inauguration, Donald Trump shows transactional foreign policy style on how US dealing with Saudi arms sales and conducting arms deal worth US$110 billion. Yet, this arms sale poses several criticisms on its effect toward human rights issue.  This research aims to analyze the role of Trump and closest advisers that might take part inventing the policy to maintain arms sales to Saudi.By using theoretical framework by Irving Janis on Groupthink, this research explores how policy conducted by the role of small-groups among US foreign policy makers. The research method used is qualitative with and descriptive type of research. Technique of data collection come from several sources such as official government documents, books, academic journals and credible news sites.This research came into several findings. First, the majority of Republican Senators and veto power by the US President has benefiting Saudi arms deal. Second, there is also the involvement of interest groups from the defense industry who lobbied policies. Third, according to Hermann's explanation, Trump is a dominant type of leader and a ‘crussader’, thus shaping the decision-making process that supports his own preferences. Lastly, arms sales policy was driven by the impetus from small groups (groupthink), particularly senior adviser Jared Kushner. The group's norms of unanimity to continue arms sales are also influenced by the perception of the dominant leader that ease him to make decisions despite political constraints in the US foreign policy structure. Keywords: Donald Trump, Foreign Policy Analysis, Arms Sales, Groupthink, United States, Saudi Arabia.

Abstract

The Covid-19 outbreak entered Indonesia in March 2020 and Pulau Komang Sentajo Village was also affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Various efforts have been made by the government for the prevention and handling of Covid-19, including the Covid-19 Response Village policy and Direct Cash Assistance (BLT-Dana Desa) sourced from village funds. However, in its management, the village government of Pulau Komang Sentajo often occurs delays in making accountability reports and the beneficiaries of the BLT-Village Fund have not been on target. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the management of village funds and to find out the inhibiting factors for managing village funds in handling Covid-19 in Pulau Komang Sentajo Village, Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study used a purposive sampling technique with qualitative research using descriptive analysis. The collection of data obtained, both primary data and secondary data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation and then analyzed based on research problems. The results of this study indicate that the management of village funds in handling Covid-19 in Pulau Komang Sentajo Village, Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi Regency there are still obstacles, this is caused by several inhibiting factors, namely the lack of human resource capabilities, and lack of community participation of Pulau Komang Sentajo Village.  Keyword: Management, Village Fund, Covid-19, Pulau Komang Sentajo Village

Abstract

Muesums are one of the tourist destinations when they want to travel. Good management of the facilities of a tourist attraction will be beneficial for the partu itself. Management of museum facilities in one of the factors supporting the information of a good and well-maintained museum. A good and well-maintained museum will provide a special attraction for visitors. That is why it is important to carry out a management by the manager. This reseach is a type of field research located at the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Museum, Pasaman Regency. The subjects in this study were 3 staff of the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Museum and 20 visitors to the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Museum with the object being the management of the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Musum’s facilities. The data were obtained using observation, questionnaires and interview and documentation techiques. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative method, which produces desriptive data to describe a situation that was running at the time the research was conducted. Based on the result of the study, it can be seen that the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Museum is only managed by 3 staff who work concurrently. The obstacles in managing the museum are the lack of employess, and the lack of funds which causes many facilities not to be maintained properly. To overcome these obstacles, the goverment provides financial assistance has not been intensely implemented so that there are still many facilities of the Tuanku Imam Bonjol museum that are not maintained. Keywords: Management, Facilities, Museum.
