Abstract

ABSTRACT The working mechanism is a work procedure that has been determined with the aim of making it easier to work on and have the same work result in accordance with a predetermined barometer. In a hotel, housekeeping plays an important role in maintaining the hotel’s reputation, especially room attendants because hotels are synonymous with rooms that are kept clean, comfortable, beauty of rooms are important values for a guest who wants to stay. This study aims to find out the arrangement of work mechanism by management, the operational procedures of a room attendant in making and maintaining a room (make up room) starting with the preparation of the room attendant before starting work (Preparation), priority of makeup room, make up room procedure, and criteria the result of good room attendant work, and room attendant constraints in working with references, namely the book from Rumekso (2002) in the Housekeeping Departement of The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru. All the data needed for the authors were collected by observation, interviews and documentations techniques. Based on the results of research on the working mechanism of room attendants at The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru it is said to be good because there are things that are very systematically planned but there are things that are still being improved for management with predetermined procedures. Abstract

ABSTRACT Silokek Geopark is one of the geoparks located in the Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra Province. The various tourism potentials owned by the Silokek Geopark tourist attraction are the initial capital for tourism development in the area. However, relying on natural and cultural potential alone is not enough to make tourists visit, therefore marketing activities are needed in the form of promotions. Promotion is one of the activities of introducing a tourist attraction so that it can be known by the wider community both domestically and internationally. This study aims to determine promotional efforts in increasing tourist visits at the Silokek Geopark tourist attraction and to find out the obstacles in increasing promotion at the Silokek Geopark. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the actual situation by collecting data from observation, documentation and interviews. The key informants in this study were the Silokek Geopark tourist attraction manager and the Sijunjung Regency Tourism Office. From this study it can be seen that the promotions carried out by Silokek Geopark are individual sales, advertising, sales promotion, direct marketing, and public relations. Abstract

ABSTRACT Licensing through OSS-RBA at the Investment Office and One-Stop Integrated Services of Karimun Regency aims to create a licensing process that is easy, fast and efficient for micro, small and medium enterprises in Karimun Regency. In the process of running licensing through OSS-RBA, there are several inhibiting factors, namely lack of socialization activities, there are still business licensing services that have not been registered in the OSS-RBA application, lack of public understanding or digital divide and unstable internet network. This study aims to determine UMKM Business Licensing Services through the Online Single Submission Risk Based Approach (OSS-RBA) System. The concept of the theory used is the theory of public service by Alanezi in Ningsih Ardila Sari 2021. By using descriptive qualitative research methods and data collection techniques based on interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the research that researchers got were that the implementation of UMKM business licensing services had gone quite well, but there were still several factors that became obstacles experienced by the Investment Office and One-Stop Integrated Services of Karimun Regency so that what was implemented was not effective. Abstract

ABSTRACT Execution of tasks is a way or stages so that the implementation of work is easy and smooth. In a hotel it is very important to pay attention to the procedures for carrying out the waiter's duties to be carried out. This study aims to find out how important the attention of hotel management is in carrying out the duties of waiters, preparing restaurants, receiving guests, delivering guests, presenting food and drink lists, serving guests, recording guest complaints and any obstacles experienced by waiters when carrying out their duties. taken from Mertayasa's book source (2012) in the Food & Beverage Service section of the Swiss-Belinn Hotel Karawang department. Data collected using interview techniques, observation and documentation. Based on the research that was obtained from the results of the interviews that the implementation of the waiter's duties at the Swiss-café restaurant Hotel Swiss-Belinn Karawang can be said to be quite good because some have followed the procedures and some are still not in accordance with the procedures that have been determined. Abstract

Social interaction can be the beginning of the formation of a group, especially in a game environment. One example is in the campus environment, where in general all students always form a friendship group. Through the interactions that occur between students, they will later form friendship groups. A social group tends not to be a static group, but is always developing and experiencing changes, both in activities and form. This study aims to determine the form of groups that exist among students and to find out the similarities that influence the form of friendship groups among sociology students, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science, Riau University. This study used descriptive quantitative research methods with a population of 69 students with a total sample of 69 respondents who were obtained by saturated sampling techniques by taking as many samples as the population. How do you collect data using the questionnaire method. The theory used is the community type theory put forward by Tonnies. The results of this study concluded that of the 3 types of association, the most dominating similarity in forming friendship groups was the form of groups because of the same ideas and thoughts. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research analyzes the motives for assistance from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in overcoming the issue of gender-based violence in Indonesia in 2018-2021. This assistance is carried out through two programs, USAID Bersama and USAID eMpowering Access to Justice (MAJu). These programs are being implemented together with the Indonesian government, local organizations and independent institutions from Indonesia. This research is a qualitative research. The data collection methods used are interviews and document analysis. The perspective used is constructivism with foreign aid theory. The level of analysis used is the group level. This research looks for USAID's involvement in working to empower communities and change their mindsets around gender-based violence. Some of USAID's efforts are believed to be successful in supporting local organizations in improving Indonesian laws, as well on creating new new perspectives, knowledge and values. Abstract

The Village Head is one of the people who exercises the rights, powers and obligations of the leadership of the Village Administration. in administering village government is the main organizer and person in charge in the field of government, development and society in the context of administering village government, general government affairs and including the development of security and order in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The type of research used by the authors in this study is descriptive. Data collection techniques are interviews, literature studies and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study was carried out qualitatively. The results of the study explained that the capacity of the Pintu Gobang Kari village head was assessed from 3 indicators, namely basic abilities which showed that the basic ability of the Pintu Gobang Kari village head was to understand and understand security and order issues in Pintu Gobang Kari Village. According to the research informant, the village head also understands his authority in maintaining peace and security in the village. Both capacity assessments based on management capabilities show that in terms of management capabilities it is assessed that the village head has good management capabilities which can be seen from the coordination carried out by the village head when there is a security disturbance in Pintu Gobang Kari Village. Third, the capacity of the Pintu Gobang Kari village head in terms of his technical skills is still inadequate because there are no village regulations made in an effort to maintain peace and order in the village. The program that was just created was limited to the provision of security posts where the provision of security posts could only overcome the problem of theft through night patrols that were carried out, but had not been able to overcome the problem of fighting between groups or gangs in the village and also the problem of gambling. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was motivated by deforestation in Indonesia and was carried out by analyzing the implementation of the TFCA-S program. This Program created by the United States and Indonesia, as an effort to conserve tropical forests with the Debt for Nature Swap funding mechanism model in Sumatra, especially Riau. One of the Debt for Nature Swap programs in Indonesia is TFCA-Sumatera. The use of the Debt for Nature Swap funding mechanism is considered as an alternative for developing countries. The conceptual famework of this research is to use the theory of Foreign Assistance and the Debt for Nature Swap concept. The research method used is a qualitative research method, where data collection was through interviews and literature studies. The conclusions from this research where the TFCA-Sumatra program initiated by the United States and Indonesia can be an alternative effort to preserve Indonesia's forests and biodiversity (in this case especially Riau), and also extensive from the threat of deforestation, extinction of wildlife, and climate change. local, regional and global climate. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research analyzes how the ICRC's role in handling humanitarian crises that occurred due to civil conflict in South Sudan. The civil conflict occurred after South Sudan's independence in 2011, which then triggered the upheaval of armed conflict. This indicated a serious humanitarian crisis due to the conflict. Despite the establishment of a peace agreement in 2015, civil conflict still continues across the country targeting civilians. The ICRC as an organization engaged in the humanitarian field took a big part in handling the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan, until it formed the South Sudan Red Cross after its independence in 2011. The ICRC carries out its humanitarian mission through several programs which then have a significant impact in dealing with the humanitarian crisis there. This research uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques through literature studies and document analysis from several books, journals, articles, annual reports, and websites with a group level of analysis. This research utilizes Constructivism perspective and Humanitarian Diplomacy theory. The results of this paper indicate that in handling the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan, the ICRC maintains stability and effectiveness in carrying out its humanitarian mission. This can be seen from the achievements made by the ICRC in the span of 2016-2019 which based on its annual report reached a high effective level. Abstract

The existence of Law No. 6 of 2014 gives villages the opportunity to manage their own governance, including managing village finances. Village financial management itself consists of five stages, namely the planning, implementation, administration, reporting, and accountability stages. To support effective and efficient village financial management, the government through the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and the Directorate General of Village Government Development, the Ministry of Home Affairs, collaborated to create an application called the Village Financial System (Siskeudes). Where Siskeudes is designed and refers to Permendagri Number 20 of 2018 concerning Village Financial Management. This study aims to determine the village financial management process based on the Village Financial System (Siskeudes) application in Kebun Durian Village, Kampar Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, in which the researcher describes events or incidents in the field. The results of this study indicate that village financial management based on the Siskeudes application in Kebun Durian village is in accordance with Permendagri Number 20 of 2018 concerning Village Financial Management. Where all stages starting from planning, implementation, administration, reporting, and accountability have been carried out properly. However, there are still obstacles in the process, namely inadequate human resources, complete facilities and lack of training regarding the Siskeudes application. This study concludes that the Siskeudes application is very helpful for village officials in managing finances and making accountability reports, even though there are several obstacles in the process of operating it. and it is hoped that the village government can overcome some of these obstacles.
