Abstract

Women are an integral part of a society, including in poor communities. Women have the same potential as men to contribute to community development. But in reality, women are still not given a more role, even marginalized. Non-governmental organizations such as LPESM as one of the important elements in society that can help realize women’s empowerment. In essence poverty can start from low access to education causes low economic access. Which ultimately leads to poverty. Socialization is carried out that people are more enthusiastic about developing their business and preserving the environtment so that it remains green. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection was carried out in this study in the form of diract observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. In conducting interviews, the informants were members of LPESM. Interpretation of data is carried out in stages starting from data collection, data reduction to conclusions. And the results of research that can be an alternative for villagers who want to develop ther businesses. And the inhibiting factors of LPESM in carrying mindsets and the difficulty of finding free time for housewives. Keywords: Women’s Empowerment, institution, role

Abstract

20 years after being toppled in 2001, the Taliban managed to retake the Afghan government before the US troop withdrawal was complete. On August 15, 2021, the Taliban succeeded in overthrowing the government of Ashraf Ghani and taking over the government in a relatively short time. The victory of the Taliban over the US gave rise to different assumptions in the international community about the 'causes of the victory of the Taliban'. This study uses a qualitative methodology with descriptive-analytical techniques. While the data collection technique is library research, which comes from books, journals, and websites, The author divides it into three stages: data collection, data processing, and analysis of the data. The war between the US and the Taliban is an asymmetric war because there is a disparity in the status of actors (state actors and non-state actors), military strength, economic power, ideology, and structure. Even though the US was superior in terms of military and economic strength, the Taliban managed to survive and balance that power by using a guerrilla war strategy that cost the US 2 trillion USD in losses and thousands of troops. Furthermore, the Taliban took advantage of the vicious terrain, jihadist ideology, and decentralized structure. The victory of the Taliban is indeed opportunistic, which is opportunity meets preparedness. So the determinant factors that lead to victory in 2021 are because of the reduced US involvement in Afghanistan and the persistence of the Taliban. Keywords: Taliban, asymmetric warfare. Abstract

This research was conducted in Artificial Village II, Koto Gasib District, Siak Regency, which aimed to find out how the efforts of parents, especially female parents, in overcoming online game addiction in children and how also the efforts of parents to respond to the activities of children who are already addicted to online games. The method used is a qualitative research method carried out with this method because this study will analyze in depth how subjective (parental efforts) who have elementary school-age children addicted to playing online games. The results of the study stated that parents became one of the factors in the occurrence of online game addiction to children in addition to environmental factors, friends and associations are also another factor in online game addiction. Impact. What is caused by playing online games shows more negative impacts. Parents' efforts in overcoming online game addiction by limiting children's time playing games, supporting children's hobbies, and putting children in private tutoring. It is recommended to parents to be able to pay more attention to their children, spend more time with their children. Parents must be able to set when the child's schedule to study and when the child's schedule to play smartphones, and parents must manage the child's time, including bedtime Parents must always accompany their children if they want to play games. Abstract

Strategy is a method used to win the candidate pairs that are carried. In order to win a candidate in the election, political parties should as far as possible target a number of votes that will exceed the votes of other candidate pairs. This study aims to determine the strategy of the coalition parties in winning the pair of regent and deputy regent candidates Afrizal Sintong S.IP and H.Sulaiman, SS. MH in the local elections in Rokan Hilir Regency. While the methodology used in the preparation of this thesis uses qualitative methods, namely interviews with relevant sources in winning candidate pairs, then collects data, organizes and classifies data, the analysis is descriptive in nature which describes the strategic steps carried out by the coalition parties in the general election of the district head Rokan Hilir in 2020. to explain the meaning of politics to voters by using defensive and offensive strategies then this offensive strategy was developed by taking approaches namely push marketing, pull marketing, and pass marketing, this approach was used to promote the candidate pair Afrizal and H. Sulaiman. There are several strategic things carried out by the winning coalition party Afrizal and H. Sulaiman. First, in their defensive strategy, they mapped the mass base, which strengthened the estimated mass, which was certain to choose a candidate pair because of environmental and emotional factors with the candidate pair's personality. Second, with an offensive strategy, the winning team introduced or socialized the pairs of candidates for regent and deputy regent through the outskirts of the Rokan downstream district with the aim of focusing on voters who were far away from other pairs. Abstract

Corruption in funds at the village level is a serious problem that can hinder the development and development of the local community. This study aims to identify the factors causing financial corruption that occurred in Merbau Village, Bunut District in 2018. This research uses the theory put forward by Andi Hamzah (2005) which explains 4 points of factors that cause corruption. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with various related parties, such as village officials, community members and other related parties. In addition, data was also collected through direct observation in the field and analysis of related documents. The results of the study indicate that there are several factors causing financial corruption in Merbau Village. The corruption committed by the former Bunut village head with the initials EM was carried out for personal gain in fulfilling household needs. Corruption is also carried out in the form of buying goods for personal business. Low awareness of the importance of good financial governance. Many members of the village government do not understand the principles of accountability and transparency in managing village finances. Weak internal oversight and control. An ineffective monitoring system allows manipulation and misuse of village funds. Increasing community participation is also important, through counseling and active involvement in overseeing village finances. Abstract

This research describes the effort of an NGO named the Ocean Cleanup in overcoming plastic waste in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP). The efforts are made by cleaning GPGP and polluted rivers. This activity is carried out with the support and network provided by partners. The research utilized the Theory of the Role of Environmental NGOs to analyze the role of the Ocean Cleanup. The level analysis used in this research was group-level analysis. The data collection used in this research is a document analysis method and interviews by email. This research shows the Ocean Cleanup's efforts in partnering with different partners in overcoming plastic waste pollution and cleaning the waste in GPGP. The efforts are believed to be useful since they are able to capture the plastic waste in GPGP and reduce the amount of plastic flowing through rivers. Abstract

This research analyzes Indonesia's strategy in dealing with the ban on palm oil exports by the European Union. The impact of the dispute makes Indonesian oil palm farmers lose money and affects the national economy which can be said to depend on this commodity. Indonesia then fought for rights in the palm oil trade in the international sphere with the help of the WTO as a mediator. This study uses a qualitative method using existing reading materials as a source of exposure about Indonesian palm oil exports and European Union policies, with data collection techniques through literature studies and document analysis from several books, journals and websites. This study uses the perspective of Liberalism and Policy Theory. This research shows that Indonesia has implemented various measures to increase its palm oil production and exports in the face of European Union policies. Such as holding the 6th Ministerial Meeting CPOPC strongly protested the Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II) Policy and the Delegated Act. Indonesia also carries out promotional activities regarding palm oil and the use of Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificates. Indonesia made a Statement with numbers G/TBT/W/565 to the WTO Technical Barriers to Trade Committee which aims to ask for clarification on several matters concerning the EU's RED II. The WTO processed this case by offering a dispute resolution resolution that reduced the obstacles encountered in the palm oil trade. This means that Indonesia won the lawsuit and inevitably the European Union must obey it so that their image in the international community does not become bad. Abstract

Kasang Kulim Zoo is the only zoo located in Riau province. This makes Kasang Kulim Zoo have great potential as both a tourist destination and an animal education tourism. To maximize both aspects, effective communication is crucial in the management of Kasang Kulim Zoo. The aim of this research is to determine the strategies for selecting communicators, selecting communicants, composing messages, and communication channels for Kasang Kulim Zoo. This research utilizes a qualitative research method. The research subjects consist of six individuals selected through purposive technique. The informants include 6 individuals: 1 manager of Kasang Kulim Zoo, 2 zoo guides at Kasang Kulim Zoo, 1 MC at Kasang Kulim Zoo, and 2 visitors to Kasang Kulim Zoo. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis involves data reduction, data conclusion, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and evaluation using data validity techniques such as prolonged engagement and triangulation. The results of this research indicate that the communication strategy implemented by Kasang Kulim Zoo in managing the tourist attraction involves selecting communicators who have credibility and good communication skills. The selection of communicants is done only by guides and the MC, based on the visitors' age. The message composition strategy involves delivering informative and persuasive messages. The communication channels chosen by Kasang Kulim Zoo include face-to-face interaction, the use of speakers, information boards inside and outside the zoo area, as well as social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Abstract

This study aims to design a Cultural Tourism Package Arrangement in Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra Province. This study used a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach to explain and describe the conditions that occurred at the research location by collecting data and information in the field. The informants in this study are the Head of Service, Tourism Managers, and the Community. In this study, the data collection techniques used were case studies, interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that cultural tourism in Tanah Datar is very abundant and diverse, so that with this abundance and variety, tourist visits should increase every year. Coupled with the sale of Cultural Tourism Packages in the future, it will make tourists more interested in visiting Tanah Datar Regency. In addition, this Cultural Tourism Package can provide additional information for tourists about what tours are in Tanah Datar Regency. Key words: Preparation.Cultural.Tour Packages. Abstract

This research was conducted in Bidari Village, Tanjung Datuk, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The problem that is examined is about how social capital among traders occurs in coconut traders in Bidari Tanjung Datuk Village, an analysis of social capital is carried out based on certain propositions. In choosing the subject, the researcher determines the subject based on the author's title, namely coconut traders. For the data collection process, the authors used interview guidelines and conducted in-depth interviews with all research subjects with the aim of obtaining valid data. The results in this study explain that there is a mutually beneficial relationship, which is based on trust in fellow traders. The relationships that were formed made traders mutually beneficial in trade and social life. This is in accordance with the theoretical proposition that the author uses, namely the theory of social capital. After analyzing it, it was found that all the propositions contained in the theory of social capital can be applied in the case of traders who are meticulous researchers. The propositions in question are trust, information networks and norms. Keywords: Traders, Trust, Social capital traders
