Abstract

Forests in Indonesia have the potential for flora, fauna, ecosystems and tropical forests. It turns out that this huge forest potential is still not paid enough attention by Indonesia. At least 286 million hectares of Indonesian forest experienced deforestation from 2001 to 2021. In that period West Kalimantan contributed 40% of deforestation in Indonesia. This deforestation can trigger climate change and threaten the existence of biodiversity and rural communities (indigenous people). Concerns about deforestation require strategic handling. Implementation of the FORCLIME Program is the answer to implementing REDD+ Mitigation in Indonesia. This research discusses the implementation of the FORCLIME program in dealing with deforestation in Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan in 2019-2021? This research uses qualitative research methods, with document data collection techniques (document analysis) sourced from books, international and national journals, official government and non-government documents, as well as news and press release activity. The research results show that the implementation of the FORCLIME Program is carried out at three levels. At the national level the strategy focuses on policies, strategies and institutional plans for forest management. At the regional level, providing advice regarding plans, REDD+ readlines, community and community-based forest management through DPMU. At the site/local level, it is an implementation activity Demonstration Area (DA). DA activities include conservation, land use management, increasing knowledge and sustainable community income and demonstration plot agroforestry.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the top 5 plywood exporting countries to the UK, Indonesia's export volume has been stagnant since 2001-2008 at less than 2,000,000 USD. However, in 2009, the volume of Indonesian plywood exports to the UK decreased by 50% due to the birth of new competitors in the plywood trade to the UK. To maintain the position and volume of Indonesian plywood exports to the UK, efforts are being made. This research uses the theory of comparative advantage which highlights the trade advantage factor that can be achieved if a country that sells the same products as other countries, but is able to highlight competitive values, will be able to maintain and even increase its trade. The indicators in this theory are: 1.) production factors; 2.) currency; 3.) the condition of whether there is inflation or not; and 4.) trade barriers. Efforts made by Indonesia include increasing production of FLEGT - VPA (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade in Timber Products - Voluntary Partnership Agreement) and building cooperation in forest governance with the UK MFP (Multistakeholder Forestry Program) to increase UK confidence in the quality of exports plywood. Abstract

This research aims to find out how the An-Nur Grand Mosque attracts tourists to visit. This research was conducted at the An-Nur Grand Mosque, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the actual situation by collecting information data obtained directly from the field. This research uses data collection techniques from observation, documentation and interviews. From this research it can be seen that the An-Nur Grand Mosque is one of the main religious tourist attractions in Pekanbaru City, Riau. This mosque not only functions as a place of worship, but also as a center for social and cultural activities for the local community and visitors from outside the area. Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the impact of leadership and job satisfaction on turnover intention in Employees Resty Menara Hotel Pekanbaru. This research used 70 respondents as samples taken from a total sampling technique. This study adopts a quantitative descriptive research approach, utilizing primary data for analysis. The data analysis method in this research uses multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study reveal that there is a negative and significant influence between leadership on turnover intention. And job satisfaction also has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. And leadership and job satisfaction together have a negative effect on turnover intention.The coefficient of determination test demonstrates an adjusted value of 43.1%, indicating that these variables collectively account for 43.1% of the variation in turnover intention in the value relevance approach. Abstract

This study explains the role of sports diplomacy through Wushu in the relationship between Indonesia and Tiongkok during the period 2018–2023. Tiongkok has long been known as a leading country in sports, especially in Wushu, which is widely recognized as a traditional Chinese martial art. The focus of the study is on Indonesia's cooperation with Tiongkok, which has made Wushu one of the instruments to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries. Using the theory of Sports Diplomacy, this study aims to analyze how Wushu contributes as an effective diplomatic tool in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Tiongkok. Through interviews and literature review, this study identifies the positive impact of cultural and sports exchange activities and their effect on the political and economic relations between the two countries. The findings show that sports diplomacy can play a significant role in building bridges of friendship between Indonesia and Tiongkok, with a subsequent impact on their political and economic relationships. The results of this research affirm that Indonesia, through sports diplomacy as outlined by Barry Sanders, has made Wushu an effective means to build friendship bridges between Indonesia and China. The research findings are expected to inspire other countries interested in leveraging sports as a positive diplomatic instrument to support better international relations. Abstract

The illegal street racing action has become a serious problem that interferes with public order and threatens the safety of the people of the new Monday. The study aims to review coordination between local governments, in this case the new appellation service, the new pekansta polresta, and the regional people's representative council (DPRD) of the new pekand. The research site of a new pekanbaru city. The study USES the theory of coordination presented by Harold knootz and Cyril o 'donnel as four indicators of cooperation, meeting, good communication and task division. The study USES a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through interviews and documenting. Studies have shown that coordination between the nexus service, the polresta department, and the new pekand city in the handling of illegal street racing is quite effective, although several challenges remain. Coordination is carried out through regular meetings and combined patrols. The DPRD has taken an active role in implementing public aspirations and encouraging more strict zoning regulations and specific budget allocations for handling the problem. Furthermore, preventive efforts such as schools socialization and cross-country safety campaigns are also a major focus. Education given to students in various schools is expected to increase awareness of the dangers of wild racing and the importance of obeying traffic rules. Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of the additional employee income policy on changes in the mindset and cultural set of Civil Servants (PNS) in the Riau Province Regional Civil Service Agency in 2022. The additional employee income policy is one of the government's efforts to improve the welfare of Civil Servants (PNS) and it is hoped that it can bring positive changes in their way of thinking (mindset) and work culture (cultural set). The research method uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The type of research data is in the form of primary data obtained from research informants and secondary data obtained from documents relevant to the research topic. Then, the research location was carried out at the Riau Province Regional Civil Service Agency Office. This research found that the additional employee income policy had a significant impact on changes in mindset, especially in terms of work motivation and perceptions of work values. However, the impact on cultural set is more varied and not as strong as the impact on mindset. Several aspects of the cultural set such as teamwork, discipline, integrity and innovation show positive changes, but other aspects such as resistance to change still require further attention. Increasing income not only increases work motivation, but also encourages Civil Servants (PNS) to be more innovative, responsive and responsible in carrying out their duties. The recommendation given is that the government continues to evaluate and adjust this policy to ensure the continuation of its positive impact and pay attention to other aspects that can support increasing the performance and professionalism of Civil Servants (PNS). Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the collaborative governance process in overcoming damage to the Batang Kuantan river basin. The condition of the Batang Kuantan River water is no longer suitable for use or is polluted, the color of the Kuantan River water is currently not clear (murky). This has resulted in the Kuantan River fish being greatly reduced. The destruction of river ecosystems and the threat of aquatic biota has resulted in the loss of livelihoods and those who work as fishermen and fish farmers. The theory used is the collaborative governance model proposed by Ansell & Gash, with a focus on four main dimensions, namely Face-to-Face Dialogue, Trust Building, Commitment to the Process, and Shared Understanding. The research method used is qualitative. The research results show that the government's collaborative process in dealing with damage to the Batang Kuantan Singingi watershed has been ongoing, but still faces several significant obstacles. There are weaknesses in the Commitment to the Process dimension which are shown by the absence of specific regulations. In the Shared Understanding dimension, obstacles were also found in the form of differences in perception and understanding between stakeholders regarding priorities for handling this problem. This research suggests that it is necessary to strengthen the commitment aspect in order to create a good mutual understanding. Abstract

PTSL is the activity of registering land for the first time carried out simultaneously for all objects of land registration throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia in one village/urban village or other name at the same level, which includes the collection of physical data and juridical data regarding one or several objects. land registration for the purposes of its registration. The large number of land parcels that have not yet been registered and mapped in Indonesia and the slow process of land certification is the background for the establishment of a complete systematic land registration program (PTSL). The actors involved in this program are required to implement PTSL professionally which refers to legal and technical provisions so that there is no practice of maladministration. Thus being the reasons for this research that aims to investigate the policy of land asset legalization through the Complete Systematic Land Registration Program (PTSL) in Pekanbaru City in 2021, as well as the factors influencing the policy of land asset legalization through the Complete Systematic Land Registration Program (PTSL) in Pekanbaru City in 2021. This research refers to the theory from George Edwards III (1980) with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques involving interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research of the results show that in terms of target achievement, the land asset legalization policy through the Comprehensive Land Registration System (PTSL) in 2021 in Pekanbaru City has not yet achieved the set targets. Overall, the land asset legalization policy through the Comprehensive Land Registration System in Pekanbaru City has not been well implemented, due to several challenges such as insufficient intensive counseling from the Pekanbaru Land Agency (BPN), insufficient human resources and manpower, frequent bribery by the Maharatu Subdistrict Government, and inadequate coordination with cross-sector stakeholders like the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Village Defense Corps (Babinsa), and other stakeholders involved. Abstract

HARRIS Hotel Batam Center is a 4 star hotel located right in Batam City Center which can be accessed just by walking to Mega Mall and International Ferry Terminal Batam Center, precisely located at Jl. Engku Putri, Tlk. Tering, District. Batam City, Batam City. This research aims to determine the procedure technique for cleaning the public toilet area at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center and to find out the obstacles in implementing the procedure technique for cleaning the public toilet area at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation studies, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The results of this research are that providing bathrooms that are clean, healthy and free from disease and annoying insects is one of the main tasks of the housekeeping floor section, so that guests feel at home staying at the hotel. The implementation of procedures for cleaning and preparing bathrooms at Harris Hotel Batam is very good, this is proven by its implementation which is carried out consistently by area public officer, supervisors and housekeeping HOD.
