Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon related to BUMDes "Usaha Bersama" Mengkopot Village, which has implemented various business programs, attracting the attention of this research because after six years of establishment, this BUMDes is still in the growing category. The main problem in this study is the inability and professionalism of the managers and low creativity. This study aims to look at the governance of BUMDes in Mengkopot Village using the theory of Good Corporate Governance principles by the Komite Nasional Kebijakan Governance (KNKG). This study aims to describe the phenomenon systematically and accurately using qualitative descriptive methods, including interviews, documentation, and recording and recording data. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the principles of Good Corporate Governance in BUMDes "Usaha Bersama" Mengkopot Village is still not optimal, with minimal transparency principles, weak accountability principles, less than optimal responsibility principles, independence principles that are still a challenge, and principles of equality and fairness that need to be improved so that management is fairer and more sustainable. So, the conclusion is that the implementation of the Good Corporate Governance principle in BUMDes “Usaha Bersama” Mengkopot Village is still weak. Transparency, accountability, and strengthening of the business are needed to be more professional, sustainable, and beneficial to the community. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in handling child marriage issues in Indonesia for the period 2016 - 2018. Child marriage is a form of violation of children's rights. Marriage before the age of 18 can have negative impacts, especially for girls, such as interrupting education, being vulnerable to experiencing reproductive problems, living in poverty and experiencing domestic violence. As an international organization whose mission is to protect children's rights, UNICEF plays a role in overcoming the problem of child marriage in Indonesia. This study uses a pluralism perspective and international organization theory. The research method used is a qualitative research methods with library research techniques, namely utilizing secondary data obtained through various literature such as books, journals, newspapers, annual reports of several related agencies, websites, or other materials that support research. The results of this study shows that in dealing with the problem of child marriage, UNICEF carries out various programs in collaboration with the government and non-governmental organizations, disseminating information through reports and data releases, and education through various media. Abstract

The Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) is an international organization established by palm oil-producing countries, namely Indonesia and Malaysia. CPOPC was formed to coordinate strategic measures in maintaining the positive image of palm oil products and addressing challenges in international trade. The European Union's actions, deemed protectionist—particularly through the RED II policy that excludes palm oil from the renewable energy sector—are the focus of this study. This paper aims to examine how CPOPC responds to such policies. The research employs a qualitative method, with data collection techniques including literature studies from books, journals, articles, and websites. The study uses the Neoliberal Institutionalism perspective and the theory of economic diplomacy. The findings conclude that CPOPC has responded to the RED II policy using economic diplomacy in the form of persuasive measures, such as diplomatic negotiations and technical discussions. However, these efforts have not succeeded in changing the European Union's decision. The RED II policy remains in effect without significant modifications in response to CPOPC's requests or objections. This indicates that CPOPC lacks substantial bargaining power or coercive influence over the European Union. Keywords: Crude Palm Oil, Protectionism, European Union, Economic Diplomacy

Abstract

The Layanan Tunggu Application is an application made to make it easier for the public to take care of population documents in the form of lost-KTP, Damaged-KTP and KTP-Berneedur/urgent. The process of implementing services through the LAGU application in 2020-2021 reaped many complaints from the public caused by obstacles experienced by users when accessing services through Layanan Tunggu Application. This study intends to formulate the effectiveness of mobile government services through the Layanan Tunggu application by Disdukcapil Pekanbaru City in 2020-2021. The research location is in Pekanbaru City, precisely at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Pekanbaru City. This research uses the theory of the effectiveness of mobile government services proposed by Jasin, namely program planning, implementation process, achievement / productivity results and community satisfaction. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that the effectiveness of mobile government services through the Layanan Tunggu application has not been implemented effectively. The implementation process is constrained by dependence on the central server and the limited availability of E-KTP stamps, causing the productivity of the Layanan Tunggu application service to be not optimal. However, in 2021, several obstacles can be overcome, namely the creation of a Backup server and a piece of paper in the form of a temporary E-KTP when the delay in E-KTP stamps. then, at the Disdukcapil Service Office in Pekanbaru City, there are still some officers who are not friendly in responding to questions / complaints submitted directly by users of the Layanan Tunggu Application Keywords: Effectiveness, Service, Mobile Government, E-KTP, Pekanbaru City

Abstract

This research aims to determine Costumer Satisfaction with the Best Seller Menu (Nasi Goreng Pangeran) at the Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang, including 5 sub-variables (1) Product Quality, (2) Service Quality, (3) Emotional Factors, (4) Price, (5) Cost. This research uses quantitative methods using a Likert scale and the data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires and documentation. The research population was guests who visited and ordered the Nasi Goreng Pangeran menu at the Hotel Pangeran Beach Padang restaurant and the research sample size was 100 people. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that consumers who order and eat Prince fried rice at the Pangeran Beach Padang Hotel restaurant can be said to be very satisfied with a total score of 7341 where the overall score range of 7150-8800 falls into the "Very Satisfied" category. (can be seen in table 4.11 of the results of the recapitulation of respondents' responses). From these results it can also be interpreted that the Hotel Pangeran Beach Padang restaurant has met consumer expectations regarding the Pangeran Fried Rice menu. For the Pangeran Beach Padang Hotel restaurant to be able to maintain and increase results, we are very satisfied with the quality of the products and the quality of service, especially on the best-selling menu. And for the price of Prince's fried rice which has the lowest score, it would be better if Hotel Pangeran Beach Padang could reconsider the price offered for this menu, or could increase the quality of Prince's fried rice so that it is comparable to the price offered. And for the Head of Department to be able to hold training for all employees in the restaurant to improve the quality of service provided to guests because that is the key to the hospitality industry. Abstract

Corruption from a government perspective is the abuse of public power for personal or group gain. This includes various forms of action such as bribery, extortion, fraud, and nepotism. Corruption undermines public trust in government institutions, hinders economic development, and exacerbates social injustice. This research aims to analyze the factors that cause illegal levies of corruption by the Head of Tambusai Village, Rumbio Jaya District, Kampar Regency in 2020. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, with descriptive research type and the research location is in Tambusai Village, Kampar Regency, the type of data used is primary and secondary data, and the data collection techniques used are interviews and documents. The data analysis technique used is searching or collecting data, describing, analyzing and then concluding. The findings obtained in this research are that there are several factors that cause corruption or illegal levies carried out by the Tambusai Village Head, namely personal greed, opportunity, then unmet needs, resulting in disclosure. Abstract

Tourism is a vital sector that can enhance local economies through the development of regional potential. This research aims to analyze the marketing situation of the Koto Sentajo Tourism Village in Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. This village is known for its rich cultural and historical heritage, including traditional houses established as early as the 18th century and enduring customary tribal traditions. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that although Koto Sentajo has strong potential as a cultural and natural tourism destination, current marketing strategies remain suboptimal. Promotional efforts are mostly limited to specific events, with uneven distribution of information due to budget constraints. Community participation and the application of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) principles are essential to sustainable tourism development and increasing visitor interest. This study is expected to serve as an evaluation tool and provide insights for destination managers and local governments to strengthen tourism village marketing strategies. Abstract

Regional inflation control is one of the main challenges in maintaining economic stability, especially in Riau Province, which has a significant contribution to the national economy. This study aims to analyze Collaborative Governance in controlling regional inflation in Riau Province during the period 2022-2023. Collaborative Governance involves cross-sector cooperation between local governments, Bank Indonesia, business actors, academics, and the community in formulating effective policies and strategies to address inflation. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive research type to obtain data on findings based on research needs. This qualitative approach is used to seek information from a phenomenon that occurs and is studied, namely Collaborative Governance in Controlling Regional Inflation in Riau Province for the years 2022-2023. The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation and supporting factors of Collaborative Governance in controlling inflation in the Riau Province for the years 2022-2023. In this context, the research focuses on the coordination mechanisms among stakeholders, the effectiveness of the programs implemented, and the contributions of each party in formulating and implementing inflation control strategies. In addition, the research also explores supporting factors such as joint commitment, active involvement of all parties, and institutional capacity that enable the effective implementation of policies. The research results show that the implementation of Collaborative Governance successfully reduced the regional inflation rate to 1.96%. This success is supported by several key elements, namely effective facilitative leadership, institutional design with clear rules through the Riau Governor's Decree Number 1647/XI/2022, and a collaboration process involving face-to-face dialogue, trust building, commitment, and optimal mutual understanding. In addition, supporting factors such as strong leadership, effective coordination, transparent data and information, as well as a stable macroeconomic condition also contributed to this success. However, this study also found limitations in institutional aspects, where actors from the private sector and society have not been directly involved. The results of this study provide recommendations to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and expand actor engagement to support sustainable inflation control in the future. Abstract

This research discusses the efforts made by the World Cosplay Summit Executive Committee to improve Japan's positive image through the Cosplay popular culture even. Japan’s image as a country was negatively impacted after World War II. Popular culture is one of the tools that an international actor can use to increase their support or positive image internationally. One example of popular culture that is of interest to the international community is cosplay. The World Cosplay Summit is the largest cosplay popular culture event held in Japan. This research uses a qualitative case study method using secondary data sources obtained through literature study. This research uses the theory of public diplomacy. The result of this research is the implementation of public diplomacy in an effort to implement the World Cosplay Summit, namely through the use of popular culture and providing information, influencing, and engaging the public both at Japan and abroad in the implementation of cosplay popular culture events. Abstract

Children are the next generation of the nation whose every right and growth and development must be taken into account by the family and even the state. Child marriage is a phenomenon that is detrimental to children's growth and development and must be addressed immediately. As an initiative to prevent child marriage, the BERANI (Better Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All in Indonesia) Program was formed by UNICEF, UNFPA, Indonesian Government and Canadian Government. Through a qualitative approach using the literature study method, data obtained through literature, reports and official documents related to the BERANI Program and child marriage issue in Indonesia would be analyzed to show implementation and the role of the BERANI Program in preventing the increase in child marriage in South Sulawesi. The findings of this research showed that BERANI Program had successfully implemented its program to prevent child marriage in South Sulawesi and has had an impact on efforts to prevent child marriage. Through results that if found from research, it is hoped that it could provide insight into the implementation of the BERANI program in dealing with child marriage in South Sulawesi in 2018-2023.
