Abstract

Public service providers are always required to innovate continuously according to needs and make it easier for the public to obtain public services. This research aims to determine innovations in implementing passport management at the Class 1 Immigration Office in Pekanbaru City. Using qualitative descriptive research methods to collect data using interview observation and documentation methods. Based on the research results, it shows that the passport processing innovation at the Pekanbaru City Class 1 Immigration Office has been able to fulfill the 4 components of innovation theory proposed by Roger, namely relative advantage, suitability, complexity and easy to observe. Passport processing innovation is in accordance with Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration and legal regulations. The innovations issued by the Pekanbaru City Class 1 Immigration Office are Pekanbaru Dusk Immigration serving Tuesday and Thursday (IKAN SELAIS), Thumb Human Rights, Immigration Serving On-Site (IKAN SEPAT) and passport services on Saturday and Sunday. Through this innovation, the public finds it easy to obtain excellent service provided by the Pekanbaru City Class 1 Immigration Office. Keywords: Innovation, Public Services, Passport Management

Abstract

This research is entitled Implementation of Laundry Attendant Duties in the Housekeeping Department of the Grand Zuri Hotel in Mandau District. This research aims to find out how the Laundry Attendant's duties are carried out in the Housekeeping Department of the Grand Zuri Hotel in Mandau District, and what obstacles the Laundry Attendants face in carrying out their duties in the Housekeeping Department of the Grand Zuri Hotel in Mandau District, and what are the solutions for facing obstacles when carrying out their duties Laundry Attendant at the Housekeeping Department of the Grand Zuri Hotel in Mandau District. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach used in this research, with data collection techniques used in this research in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Key informants involved in this research were Housekeeping Supervisor, Laundry Attendant, personnel department, Purchasing, and guests. Based on research results, the implementation of Laundry Attendant duties in the Housekeeping Department of the Grand Zuri Hotel in Mandau District has been running well and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). But of course there are definitely obstacles faced by the Laundry Attendant in the Housekeeping Department of the Grand Zuri Hotel in Mandau District, such as when sorting and counting linen, when distributing linen, when inventorying linen, when repairing linen, and when storing linen, but these are the obstacles faced by Laundry Attendants in the Housekeeping Department can be handled with the best solutions. Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of violence against children in Kuantan Singingi Regency which has been increasing every year. The DP2KBP3A is responsible for preventing violence against children in the Kuantan Singingi Regency area. The number of cases increased from 12 cases in 2022, an increase of 15.38% to 15 cases in 2023, and in 2024 increased by 166.67% to 40 cases. With the phenomenon of increasing cases of violence against children, government action is needed to prevent acts of violence against children. This research aims to describe the implementation of the duties of DP2KBP3A in accordance with the Regulation of the Regent of Kuantan Singingi Number 72 of 2021. This research uses a qualitative approach and a descriptive research type. This research uses primary data obtained from research informants and is supported by secondary data obtained from official government documents and scientific publications. The data collection techniques in this research use interview and documentation techniques. The research findings indicate that the implementation of tasks by DP2KBP3A in the formulation and execution of technical policies, supervision, evaluation, and reporting can be considered optimal. However, the execution of tasks in coordination, facilitation, and guidance cannot yet be considered optimal. This is due to the fact that coordination conducted by DP2KBP3A with village governments, schools, and horizontal institutions is still limited. The guidance provided can be said to be suboptimal, primarily due to the lack of training received by employees regarding violence against children. The facilitation offered is still not optimal, as there is a lack of supporting facilities provided by DP2KBP3A to prevent violence against children. Abstract

A Smart Village is a village that is able to improve the welfare and quality of life of the community through the use of technology in various aspects of village development. Pandau Jaya Village is included in the Smart Village Locus for Kampar Regency in 2021 and is participating in the Smart Village activity program, the same as Sibuak Village. However, Pandau Jaya Village has not been able to implement the Smart Village concept through digital-based village administration services. This is different from Sibuak Village which has been able to implement the Smart Village concept through digital-based village administration services. The aim of this research is to determine the capability of the village government in Pandau Jaya Village and Sibuak Village in implementing the Smart Village concept through digital-based village administration services in 2021-2023. This research uses Kusumasari's capability theory, the resources and important factors that the government must have to create a well-capable organization, namely institutional, human, financial and technical resources. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. This type of research is descriptive. The location of this research is Pandau Jaya Village and Sibuak Village. The type of data in this research is divided into primary data with data collection techniques through interviews and secondary data in the form of supporting data related to the Smart Village program. The data collection techniques are through interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative analysis technique. The results of this research are the capabilities of the Pandau Jaya and Sibuak Village Governments in implementing digital services in their villages. The capabilities of the Pandau Jaya Village Government and the Sibuak Village Government are not much different. Abstract

Africans dispersed worldwide due to slavery. Since then, they have faced racism and discrimination, which persist to this day. Their prowess in the arts, particularly music, has been utilized as a tool for their struggle. This research explores how African people in America employ their musical cultural heritage in advocating for their rights within the Black Lives Matter social movement. To discuss their struggle, the Music and Social Movements approach by William F. Danaher was employed, which has proven to be quite effective in achieving the goals or interests of a group. Data was obtained through document analysis from books, national and international journal articles, news sources, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram posts related to the BLM movement. The research revealed that the utilization of artistic culture, especially music, involving artists and prominent individuals of African descent, resulted in positive results. Financial contributions, efforts, thoughts, and talents have boosted the spirit of African individuals residing in Western countries to advocate for their destinies. Their art, slogans, mottos, and spirit have elevated self-esteem and confidence, creating social, economic, educational, and political impacts. Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of Steward SOP in the Food and Beverage Department at Turi Beach Resort Batam. This research uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach to describe and explain the situation that occurred by collecting data and information in the field. The key informants in this research are the Head Chef, SPV and employees. In this research, the data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded. aspects of implementing the Standard Operation Procedure Steward are in line with the standard operational procedures listed in the hotel itself. However, there are a few obstacles in implementation due to the age of the employees at Steward. Most of the employees who work are still young and always bring feelings into the work environment. The efforts made by the hotel in implementing the Steward's Standard Operation Procedure in the Food and Baverage Product Department of Turi Beach Resort Batam is to monitor the Steward's work so that the implementation of the Standard Operation Procedure runs well. and smooth. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of collaborative governance in managing people with mental disorders after rehabilitation at Tampan Mental Hospital, Pekanbaru City, in 2023. A qualitative descriptive method was applied, with data collected through interviews and documentation. The study focuses on the roles and interactions between Tampan Mental Hospital and the Riau Provincial Social Service, using Ansell and Gash’s collaborative governance process theory, which includes five indicators: face-to-face dialogue, trust building, commitment to process, shared understanding, and intermediate outcomes. The findings indicate that collaboration between the two institutions has not been optimal due to unclear delegation of responsibility, lack of structured coordination, and limited post-rehabilitation support. Abstract

Indonesia has a diversity of cultures, one of which is the culture in Bengkalis district, namely lejo weaving. In essence, the tourism product is the entire service received and felt by tourists from the time they leave their place of residence to the tourist destination they choose and until they return home where they originally departed. This research aims to determine lejo weaving as a typical tourism product in Bengkalis district. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the actual situation by collecting information data directly from the field. The key informants for this research are the head of the Bengkalis district tourism office, the head of Sebauk village, the Putri Mas weaving manager, weaving craftsmen, and consumers. This research uses data collection techniques from literature study, observation, documentation and interviews. The results of this research show that lejo weaving is a tourism product and makes lejo weaving a typical souvenir of Bengkalis district. Keywords: Weaving, Lejo

Abstract

ABSTRACT Supervision is the final function that must be carried out in management. With supervision, it can be seen about the results that have been achieved. The method used in supervision is to compare everything that has been carried out with the standard or plan, as well as making corrections if deviations occur. So with supervision you can measure how far the results that have been achieved are in accordance with what was planned. This research uses a qualitative method that aims to find out more about how the coastarina mega tourism facilities are monitored in Batam City, Riau Islands. This research focuses on the factors that become obstacles in monitoring tourist attraction facilities, starting from how to determine measuring tools, assessment and corrective actions for the tourist attraction. This research uses interviews, observations and documentation to detail the things involved in monitoring mega tourism facilities, with the hope of providing new innovations for tourism development, especially in tourism monitoring.
