Abstract

Forest and land fire prevention is an effort made to prevent and reduce factors that can cause forest and land fires. The Kampar Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency is a regional agency that carries out disaster management support functions. The problem in this study is that the role of the Kampar Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency has not been optimal because the area of burned land in Kampar Regency increased in 2022, while the number of cases decreased compared to 2021. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the Kampar Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency in the prevention of forest and land fires in 2021-2022. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. The type of research is descriptive. The location of the research is in Kampar Regency and the Kampar Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency. The types of data and sources of research data are divided into primary data with data collection techniques, namely interviews from informants and secondary data in the form of documents related to research problems. The data collection technique is by means of interviews and documentation. The data analysis was carried out by qualitative analysis. The result of this study is that the Kampar Regency BPBD has carried out its functions and duties in accordance with article 7 paragraph 5 letter a of the Kampar Regent Regulation Number 65 of 2016 concerning the Position, Composition, Organization, Duties and Functions and Work Procedures of the Kampar Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency. The Kampar Regency BPBD has also carried out five forms of roles, namely as policy creators, coordinators, facilitators, implementers, and accelerators. In carrying out this role, the Kampar Regency BPBD collaborates and coordinates with all relevant stakeholders in achieving efforts to prevent forest and land fires. Keywords : Role, BPBD, Prevention

Abstract

The presence of street vendors continues to increase amidst the activities of Pekanbaru City as a trading center in the Sumatra region. This is a matter of concern because its existence is not well organized. Therefore, further efforts are needed from the Pekanbaru City government to regulate the existence of street vendors effectively through structuring activities. Structuring street vendors is an effort carried out through determining target locations to determine, move, control and eliminate street vendor locations by paying attention to public interest, social, aesthetic, health, economic, security, order, environmental cleanliness and in accordance with statutory regulations. The arrangement of street vendors aims to provide business opportunities for street vendors by determining locations that suit their purpose. This research intends to describe the effectiveness of government in managing street vendors in Pekanbaru City. The research location is in Pekanbaru City, specifically at the Pekanbaru City Trade and Industry Office and Simpang Baru Market Pekanbaru City. This research uses the effectiveness theory put forward by Campbell. Using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that based on theoretical indicators, the government’s effectiveness in managing street vendors includes the concept of program success which has not yet achieved the target of the Pekanbaru City Trade and Industry Service in restoring the function of roads as public roads. Then the success of the target has been quite effective, seen from the capacity which is almost fulfilled by street vendors. Then satisfaction with the program cannot be said to be effective, seen from the market community satisfaction index (IKM) which has not yet reached the target. At the input and output level, it is quite effective where the government has been able to produce output based on existing input. Finally, the achievement of the overall goal has not been fully effective, seen from street vendors who still violate many rules, inaccurate data and weak coordination with related agencies. Of these indicators, only two indicators can be said to be effective for government in implementing the regulation of street vendors in Pekanbaru City in 2022-2023, namely the success of targets and the level of input and output.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image and brand trust on brand loyalty among Telkomsel users, specifically undergraduate students at the University of Riau. The research background is based on the intense competition within Indonesia’s telecommunications industry, where despite Telkomsel’s market leadership, its relatively high pricing has led some customers to switch to competitors. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive and verificative approach. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS 26. The results reveal that (1) brand image has a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty, (2) brand trust has a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty, and (3) brand image and brand trust simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty. These findings indicate that a strong brand image and high brand trust can enhance customer loyalty. Keywords: Brand Image, Brand Trust, Brand Loyalty, Telkomsel, Students.

Abstract

Human resources are a valuable asset for any organization due to their potential. This study aims to analyze how the work environment and motivation affect the performance of nurses at Taman Mental Hospital, Riau Province. This research used a quantitative survey method with a questionnaire as the data collection instrument for each variable. A sample of 117 nurses was randomly selected to provide a diverse picture and characteristics. Data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study revealed that both partially and simultaneously, the work environment and motivation have a positive and significant influence on the performance of nurses at Taman Mental Hospital, Riau Province, with a model influence of 66.8%, and the work environment is the dominating variable influencing the performance of nurses. This indicates that the work environment conditions at Taman Mental Hospital, Riau Province, meet acceptable conditions or even exceed their expectations. Abstract

Traditional markets are one of the government assets that must be managed based on Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 19 of 2016 concerning Guidelines for Management of Regional Property. The problems found in the field are traditional market dysfunction and lack of management resulting in fatal damage to traditional market assets. The aim of this research is to analyze the principles of government asset management carried out by the Tanah Jawa District Government in managing traditional market assets in Tanjung Pasir village, Tanah Jawa District in 2020-2021. This research uses the theory of government asset governance according to Sholeh and Rochmansjah because there are seven principles, namely: clear and transparent ownership, effective asset management, use of appropriate technology, minimizing risk, community involvement, accountability, monitoring and evaluation. This research method uses a qualitative approach by obtaining data from interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicate that traditional markets have not functioned effectively. However, the Tanah Jawa sub-district government is still trying to utilize traditional market assets such as community entertainment venues, traditional party venues and voting venues to support more useful uses. Factors inhibiting the management of traditional market assets are resistance from the community and traders because the location of the traditional market is far from the meeting point of routes between villages, the traditional market area feels narrow, and access to the traditional market in and out is only available in one lane. Abstract

Kampung Dayun, Siak Regency, Riau Province is one of the tourist villages that uses the principle of Community Based Tourism (CBT) in its development process. Community Based Tourism (CBT) is a concept of developing tourist destinations by empowering local communities to be directly involved in tourism activities. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of community participation in the application of Community Based Tourism (CBT) in Kampung Wisata Dayun, Siak Regency, Riau Province and to determine the impact that occurs in the process of implementing Community Based Tourism (CBT) in Kampung Wisata Dayun, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This research employs a qualitative descriptive research method. The theory used in this study uses four stages according to Cohen and Opchoff in Mulyadi, namely decision making, implementation, benefit taking and evaluation. The results of this study are the Forms of Community Participation in the Implementation of Community Based Tourism (CBT) in Dayun Tourism Village, Siak Regency, Riau Province which has an impact on community involvement in various activities without coercion. increase the amount of income, improve the quality of human resources, create local tour guides, open job vacancies, and increase the income of local communities in real terms. Abstract

This study aims to analyze visitors' perceptions of the tourism products offered at Aek Sijorni Tourist Attraction and to identify which components are considered the most appealing and dominant by tourists. The research was motivated by the growing number of visitors after the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been accompanied by complaints regarding the quality of facilities, services, and overall visitor experience. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, using purposive sampling with 100 respondents who met specific criteria. Data were collected through field observations, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The findings indicate that, in general, visitors responded positively to the tourism products, particularly in terms of natural attractions. However, some deficiencies were noted in supporting aspects such as amenities and accessibility, including limited parking space and the lack of recreational facilities. The most prominent attraction, as perceived by visitors, is the multi-tiered waterfall with clear water, surrounded by a lush and serene natural environment. Therefore, it is recommended that management enhance infrastructure and service quality to improve visitor satisfaction and ensure a sustainable tourism experience. Abstract

Public Area employee performance at The Zuri Pekanbaru has the duty and responsibility to maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, beauty and comfort of all areas of the hotel, both outside the building and inside the building, with the exception of guest rooms and kitchens. Public areas or common areas in a hotel are places that are frequently visited and used by guests, both staying and non-staying guests. Guests will judge and get a first impression from what they see and what they get from the public area. Cleanliness, neatness and comfort of public areas are the first impression for guests, which gives the image that the hotel they are visiting is a good hotel, which can give guests satisfaction during their stay at the hotel. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the performance of public area section employees. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe and display the conditions that exist at a research site by collecting data and information obtained directly from the field. The key informants in this research are the Housekeeping Manager, Supervisor, employees and guests. In this research, the data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. From this research. From the research results obtained, the performance of public area section employees in housekeeping at The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru is quite good. This indicates that employees are trying to work optimally. This can be seen, among others, through: the quality and quantity of employee work, neat implementation of tasks, a sense of responsibility for work, cooperative relationships between employees, superiors and co-workers. Abstract

Paris Agreement is established by the UN on December 12th, 2015 as an international environmental regime that focuses on the issue of climate change in realizing Net Zero Emissions which was agreed upon by 195 parties at COP21 in Paris. To realize Net Zero Emission, real action is needed to significantly reduce climate risks and impacts from all stakeholders, as is done by PT Unilever Indonesia in supporting the Paris Agreement through C2ES. This research will look at why PT Unilever Indonesia contributed to implementing the Paris Agreement through the Unilever Compass program. This research uses international regime theory and group level analysis. This theory explains the reason an actor participates in carrying out an international regime, namely it is based on Rational-choice which is a condition where an actor follows a regime because it analyzes and considers long-term impacts that can influence an actor's strategy. These considerations include safety, calculation and normative factors. The research method used is an explanatory qualitative method with data collection techniques obtained from literature studies. Results showed that PT Unilever Indonesia contributed to implementing the Paris Agreement in realizing Net Zero Emission through efforts to increase energy and air efficiency and waste utilization. The reason why PT Unilever supports the Paris Agreement is because there are considerations in analyzing long-term impacts, namely first as anticipation to gain a sense of security from various risks in the form of environmental risk, social risk and economic risk. Second, calculate the impact of external factors in the form of consumer and investor attraction, as well as technological development. Third, there is a normative factor which contains all the norms and laws that are the standards for implementing the Paris Agreement. Abstract

Shopee as the e-commerce with the highest number of visits in Indonesia certainly has advantages that become an attraction. Online customer reviews and price discounts have a role in the process of making product purchase decisions by consumers, especially among University of Riau students. Online customer reviews help students to find out more information about the products they will buy, while price discounts encourage students to make purchases after seeing reviews which are the initial stage before making a purchase decision. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of online customer reviews and price discounts on Shopee e-commerce purchase decisions in the University of Riau students both partially and simultaneously. The research method used is descriptive research with quantitative methods. The population in this study is students of Riau University. The sampling technique used is probability sampling and the sample is taken by purposive sampling. The measurement scale used is the Likert Scale and data collection using questionnaires. Meanwhile, the analysis technique used is the descriptive statistical method. The results showed that online customer reviews and price discounts influence the purchasing decisions of University of Riau students in shopping at Shopee e-commerce. Simultaneously, online customer reviews and price discounts have an influence and are significant on the purchasing decisions of Universitas Riau students in shopping at Shopee e-commerce.
