Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L) is member of Brassicaceae family. With hight nutritional content pakcoy consumptions in Indonesian society increase every year, but it is still far from the recommended level of the consumption. This research aims to determine the effect of the interaction and single concentration of Herbafarm, growing media, and to obtain the dosage of Herbafarm fertilizer and the best growing medium for the production of pakcoy with NFT hydroponic system. This research has been conducted in Green House Hydroponic at Jl. Tulip Sukajadi, Pekanbaru. This research used split plot design. The first factor was Herbafam fertilizer (H) as a subplot with concentration of Herbafarm 0, 15, 20, and 25 ml.l-1 of water. The second factor are various growing media (M) as the main plot as the growth medium, they arerockwool, cocopeat, and charcoal husk. The result of the variance analysis was continued with further test of honestly significance diffirence (HSD) at 5% level. The observed parameters were plant height (cm), leaf width (cm), number of leaves (strands), wet economic weight (g) and root volume (cm3). The results show that the dosage of Herbafarm fertilizer in pakcoy did not increase the growth and production of pakcoy. The growing medium rockwoolis better to increase the number of leaves, leaf width, economical wet weight and root volume of pakcoy than the cocopeat and charcoal husk as thegrowing media. Abstract

Cempedak seed was found to have high starchsof content and yet it has not been optimally utilized. Therefore this research was aimed to utilized the starchsof cempedak seed as material of edible film and to get the best formulations of added of starchscempedak seed. This research was conducted experimentaly by used Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatmens and four replications which followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at level 5%. The treatmens in this research include P1 (2 g starch cempedak seed), P2 (3 g starch cempedak seed), P3(4 g starch cempedak seed), and P4 (5 g starch cempedak seed). The results of research showed that addedof concentrations starchscempedak seed gave significantly affect on water content, thickness, solubility, water uptake, and water vapor transfer rateedible film. The best formulationswas obtained on the edible film with added of starch cempedak seed 5% which has water content of 21.98%, thickness of 0.15mm, solubility of 30.03%, water uptake of 62.74%,  and water vapor transfer rate of 0.18g/m2/hour.Keywords:edible film, starch cempedak seed

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to obtain the formulation of full cream milk and red palm oil in the making of ice cream with the best of value fat content, protein content, overrun, melting point, total solids, and organoleptic test. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. The treatments were K1 (Full cream milk : red palm oil = 100% : 0%), K2 (Full cream milk : red palm oil = 97% : 3%), K3 (Full cream milk : red palm oil = 94% : 6%),K4 (Full cream milk : red palm oil = 91% : 9%). The data obtained were analysed statistically by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If the F count was greater than or equal to F table then continued with DNMRT test at 5% levels. The results of this research showed that the formulation of full cream milk and red palm oil in the making of ice cream indicated significant effect (P<0,05) on fat content, protein content, overrun, melting point, total solids, and organoleptic test. The treatment K3 having overrun 19.59%, melting point 12.20 minutes, fat content 17.91%, protein content 2.86%, total solids 28.99%. The ice cream obtained from K3 was also preferred by panelists than other treatments especially for colour and flavour of description test and taste, flavour, and acceptance test of hedonic. Keywords : Full cream milk, red palm oil, and ice cream.

Abstract

Trigona spp. is include into stingless bee honey. Trigona spp. has another names, such as, galo-galo (Sumatera), klanceng, lenceng (Jawa), andteuweul (Sunda). The population of Trigona spp. in many areas in indonesia. Trigona spp. produce are honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis and beeswax. People do not know much yet about the benefit and how to cultivation of Trigona spp. type, material and size of bee’s nest. The purpose of this research is to know successfull affectiveness movement of Trigona spp. in type, material and size of artificial nest. This research used two method, survey and experiment. The first survey got 19 bee’s nest of Trigona spp. in 7 trees. In the next experiment, the resercher tried to test 6 artificial nests (2 bee’s nest made by half of a coconut shell, 2 bee’s nest made by bamboo and 2 bee’s nest made by wooden box) and the different size of box. The experiment of 6 artificial nests was a theory of eduction/attachment. The artificial nest affixed to red chelate tree (Syzygium sp.), kempas (Koompassia malaccensis), jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) and red chelate tree was moudly/dead. The result of this research show that type of Trigona spp. that lifeatThe Prohibition Forest of Indigenous Village of Rumbio Kampar Regency. There are three kinds : Trigona collina, Trigona incica andTrigona terminata. The preferred and ideal artificial nest of Trigona spp. was wooden box 3 segment in Ttot = 65 cm, basic segment T1 =30 cm, middle segment T2 =25 cm andtop segment T3 = 10 cm.Key words:Trigona spp., The Prohibition Indigenous Forest, artificial nests

Abstract

Land conflicts often occur because of the promising potential of plantation resources and business opportunities. This study discusses the case study case of land conflicts of 2800 ha between the villagers of SenamaNenek and PTPN V SeiKencana gardens. The objectives of this research are: 1) identify conflict-causing factors; 2) analyze conflict resolution strategies; 3) analyze social capital conditions; 4) formulate social capital based conflict resolution strategies. This research use method: survey method, puposive sampling technique and snowball sampling with number of respondents 20 people. Data analysis using Likert scale for research purposes one to three. SWOT analysis for four research purposes. The main factor of the conflict was the inappropriate aspect of the award with a high score of 4.65. conflicting conflict resolution is negotiation 3.62 high category the most influential social capital after the conflict was the 2.00 aspect of the relationship with the low category. social capital based resolution strategy: 1) The company needs to provide compensation in accordance with the agreement, 2) Increase Solidarity to defend the ulayat land of the kenegerian community Senen Grandma village, 3) With good community bonds will unite existing perceptions and make agreement in the settlement of conflict. Keywords : Conflict, Conflict Resolution, and Social Capital

Abstract

Meatballs is a processed meat product that is very popular among people.  This study was aimed to obtain the best ratio of banana excrescence flour and tapioca on the quality of patin fish meatballs.This research was conducted by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with five treatments and three replications. The data were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level.  The treatments in this research were P1 (ratio banana excrescence flour and tapioca 0:3), P2 (ratio banana excrescence flour and tapioca 1:2), P3 (ratio banana excrescence flour and tapioca 1:1), P4 (ratio banana excrescence flour and tapioca 2:1), and P5 (ratio banana excrescence flour and tapioca 3:0).  The results analysisof variance show that ratio of the banana excrescence flour and tapioca significantly affected themoisture, ash, fiber, fat and protein contentsas well as sensory evaluation of meatballs. Abstract

The aimed of the research was to got the best combination of EM4 and Chlorella sp in reduced pollutant sago liquid waste. This research was used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) non factorial with five treatments and three replications to obtain 15 experimentals unit. Formulation treatments were A0 (without addition EM4), A1(addition 5 ml EM4), A2 (additon 10 ml EM4), A3 (addition 15 ml EM4), A4 (addition 20 ml EM4). Data obtained was Analyzed Statistically Using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If F calculated equal to or greater than F table then proceed to test Duncan’s MultipleNew  Range Test (DNMRT) at level 5%. The result showed that the addition of 20 ml EM4 effectively reduce levels of sago waste pollutant as much as 90,2% COD, 83% BOD,  and 81% TSS. The other side pH was increase from 4,17 to 7,07.  Keywords: EM4, Chlorella sp, sago liquid waste, COD, BOD, TSS, pH.

Abstract

Green Open Space (GOS) is important part of the city structure forming. One of city which need to attention of city park as part of GOS is Pekanbaru City. Pekanbaru is crowded enough city, buildings and vehicle already crowded city streets. The existence of a Pekanbaru city park can reduce air pollution, so that making the city atmosphere become more beautiful and naturally. City Park also used as recreation area as well as being one of the socializing media for population in Pekanbaru City, because there is hardly any place which has a sense of comfort and far from pollution. The purpose of this research is find out the characteristic of visitors who came for recreation to Pekanbaru City Park, to know  how much economic value tour of Pekanbaru City Park per year based on Travel Cost Methode (TCM), to find out the factors affecting of economic value based on Travel Cost Methode (TCM). Materials and objects of this research is questionnaire sheet. Data collected using SPSS 19 (Statistic Package For Social Science) analyze. The results showed that Pekanbaru city park economic value based on Travel Cost Methode (TCM) of Rp.967.770.636/year, with average person of Rp.22.095,22. Keywords : Economic Value , Cost Travel, Park City

Abstract

The purposes of the study was to obtain the best tempeh from utilization of NaHCO3 in making tempeh with raw material jackfruit seeds and saga seeds using the SNI quality standards. The research was conducted experimentally using completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four repetitions, followed by DNMRT test at 5% level. The treatment in this study were SS1 (saga seeds soaked in water for 24 hours and soaked in hot water ±60ºC for 10 minutes), SS2 (saga seeds soaked in a solution of NaHCO3 2,5% for 24 hours and soaked in hot water ±60ºC for 10 minutes), SS3 (saga seeds soaked in a solution of NaHCO3 2,5% for 24 hours and soaked in hot solution of NaHCO3 2,5% ±60ºC for 10 minutes) and SS4 (saga seeds soaked in water for 24 hours and soaked in hot solution of NaHCO3 2,5% ±60ºC for 10 minutes). Parameters observed were the moisture, ash, fat, protein and sensory evaluation after and before frying. Results of the analysis of variance showed the soaking time saga seeds with a solution of NaHCO3 2,5% significantly affected all parameters. The results of the study found that the best treatment was SS4 with a value of 61,35% moisture content, 1,12% ash, 5,30% fat, 22,75% protein and an overall assessment of sensory preferred by panelists. Keywords: NaHCO3, tempeh, jackfruit seeds, saga seeds.

Abstract

This research was conducted in rural districts Bungaraya young kemuning district siak. This study was conducted to identify local wisdom that ever existed and still exists today, and analyzes the local wisdom that is environmentally friendly and any strategy in defending indigenous rice crops. The purpose of this study is to identify the local wisdom that once existed in the agricultural environment, analyzing the application of local wisdom that is still going on paddy fields in the district hibiscus, analyze the strategy of maintaining an environmentally friendly local wisdom in the use and management of rice paddy fields. The method used is in qualitative research methods used to examine the condition of natural objects. This sampling technique using snowball sampling techniques in sequence to obtain the saturation point of a question. depth interviews with respondents and record it in the form of voice recorder that uses a questionnaire that has been made before. Local knowledge is a form of knowledge, beliefs, rules. customs, and habits performed by a community that supports, norms and cultural values that have been there earlier and was sent down by ancestors to be passed on to children and kemenkannya in running everyday life. in this study there is a local wisdom that still on the run, even though the procedure, the customs and rules is not running as before.Keywords: Local Wisdom, Environmen, Local knowledge
