Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the residual effects combination of fertilizers Tricho- compost waste corn with rock phosphate, well as getting the best residual for growth and production of sweet corn on peatlands. This research has been conducted in the Village District of Panam Tuah Karya Tampan, Pekanbaru from January to April 2016. This study is a continuation research conducted experiments using a randomized block design (RAK). The treatmeant has been given to research, so the treatmean in the study is composed of residue combination Tricho-compost waste corn with rock phosphate that is: without giving Tricho-compost waste corn with rock phosphate (T0P0), 0 ton/ha and 50 kg/ha (T0P1), 0 ton/ha and 100 kg/ha (T0P2), 0 ton/ha and 150 kg/ha, 5 ton/ha and 0 kg/ha (T1P0), 5 ton/ha and 50 kg/ha T1P1), 5 ton/ha and 100 kg/ha (T1P2), 5 ton/ha and150 kg/ha (T1P3), 10 ton/ha and 0kg/ha (T2P0), 10 ton/ha dan 50 kg/ha (T2P1), 10 ton/ha dan 100 kg/ha (T2P2), and 10 ton/ha and 150 kg/ha (T2P3). Parameters measured were plant height, diameter rod, the time appears the male flowers, the time appears the female flowers, harvesting, corncob weight, the weight of cob without husk, the length of the cob without husk and the biomass. The results showed that the residual effects combination Tricho- compostable waste corn with rock phosphate significantly affected plant height, diameter rod, time appears the male flowers, female flowers appear time, and the biomass plant. Residual effect of combination 10 tons of Tricho-compost waste corn with 150 kg rock phosphate/ha tend to give the best results on the growth and production of sweet corn on peatlands. Keyword : Sweet corn, Tricho-compost waste corn, Rock phosphate, Peat

Abstract

The purpose of this study is : The level dynamics of sago farmers' groups in the village Lukun districts Tebing Tinggi Timur district Meranti. This study uses survey. This research was conducted in the village Lukun districts Tebing Tinggi Timur district Meranti starting from April to July 2016. Making a total of 55 people were taken by sago farmers with Purpossive Sampling. Analysis of the data used are Skala Likert Analysis. These results indicate that : The level of farmer group dynamics sago in the village Lukun districts Tebing Tinggi Timur in the category “medium” with a score average 3,06. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of paclobutrazol and phosphorus fertilizer application on sweet corn growth and yield. This research was conducted at experimental farm, the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Tampan, Pekanbaru, from September to December 2016. This study were using a randomized block design (RAK) factorial consisting of two factors: The first factor is the concentration of paclobutrazol which consists of 4 levels (0 ppm, 500 ppm, 1000 ppm and 1500 ppm) andthe second factor is the dose of phosphorus fertilizer (200 kg / ha, 300 kg / ha and 400 kg / ha)with three replications. Parameters were measured in this research was plant height, harvest age, weight ofhusked cob, weight of cob without husk, cob diameter, number of grain rows per ear, number of grains per ear and the production per m2. Interaction ofpaclobutrazol and phosphorus fertilizers gave no significant effect on all parameters. Application ofpaclobutrazol significantly affected all parameters except number of seed rows per ear. Phosphorus fertilizer significantly affected the number of seeds per row cob and production per m2. Application of 1000 ppm Paclobutrazol and phosphorus fertilizer to 300 kg / ha produce sweet corn yield per m2 of 15.11 tonnes / ha. Keywords: corn,paclobutrazol, phosphorus, growth and yield

Abstract

The purpose of this research are analyze the effect of labor on production pineapple, analyze the level of optimization of the use of  labor, and analyze the optimization of the use of labor between broad and narrow area of land in Kampar. The methods of analysis used in this study is regression analyze. Based on the result of the analysis of effect labor on production pineapple, the amount of labor significantly affect the amount of production of pineapples, it applies to farming in a narrow area, wide area, and also overall. labor is a factor of production is greatest effect on farm production pineapple research area. labor used in the farming of pineapple consists of labor within the family and outside the family labor, in which the activities carried out are weeding and harvesting.The use value of labor in the area showed that the use of labor is not optimal, it should be increasing the number of workers, in order to increase productivity. level optimization on large tracts of land is better than the narrow land, it demonstrates the use of labor on a large area is optimal from the narrow land. then to optimize the use of labor on a narrow piece of land is necessary to increase the amount of labor. keywords: pineapple production, labor, optimazation.

Abstract

The research aims to determine effect of the use several types of ash on the growth oil palm seedlings on peat media and determine the best type of ash for oil palm seedlings on peat media. The research has been implemented on land technical service unit (UPT) and soil analysis at Laboratory of soil science Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Bina widya college km 12,5, simpang baru, Tampan,Pekanbaru. The research was conducted from august to November 2017. The research eksperimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) consists of 6 treatments and 4 replications, and obtains 24 experimental units,each experimental unit consists of 2 seeds, and the total is 48 seeds. Data obtainable from observations were analyzed statistical using analysis of varian (ANOVA). The results of variance analysis continued with Duncan’s multiple range test at the 5% level. Observation parameters of seedling height,number of leaves,increase in bulb diameter,root volume,root canopy ratio,weight dry seed and soil chemical properties. The results of giving some kind ash that has a real effect for the height of the seedlings and the increase of leaves and the best treatment at the provision of oil palm empty fruit bunches ash which showed the highest yield on seedling height of 23,52cm,root canopy ratio of 2,70g and the weight dry of seedlings is 22,27g.Keyword : Oil Palm, Type of Ash, Peat

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of some type of annual plant on the run off and soil erosion that occurred in the village of Batu Gajah, district Pasir Penyu, district upstream Indragiri Hulu. The research was carried out at the Balai Benih Induk (BBI) the village of Batu Gajah, district Pasir Penyu, District Upstream Indragiri Hulu, Riau Province. The research lasted for four month, from February to May 2016. The research was carried out experimentally on land with uniform slope (9%) and used a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The treatment factors are : (P1) = soybean plant, (P2) = peanut plant, (P3) = corn plant, (P4) = mung bean plant. Data were analyzed with further test Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. Parameter observed are rainfall, amount of runoff, soil erosion (sedimentation), infiltration and soil physical properties. Based on the research that the planting of annual plant at the level slope of (9%) showed the effect of variation on the run off and soil erosion (sedimentation), the treatment of mung bean plant is the best effect, showed that the least amount of run off and soil erosion with 15,22 l/plot and 735,18 g/plot.Key words : annual plant, run off, slope land, soil erosion.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of mixing LCPKS and NPK and best treatment ofgreen bean production components. This research was conducted in Experimental Field of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau in October until December 2016. This research uses non factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of dosage LCPKS + NPK 0 ml / plot + 60 g / plot, 7.5 ml / plot + 60 g / plot, 15 ml / plot + 45 g / plot, 30 ml / plot + 30 g NPK / Plot, and 45 ml / plot + 15 g NPK. Parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per plant, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, weight of 1000 seeds per plot and seed weight per plot. The data obtained were analyzed using verbal examination and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test at the 5 % level. The results showed that giving LCPKS + NPK at a dose of 15 ml / plot + 45 g and 30 ml / plot + 30 g NPK showed better results in increasing the components of green bean production.  Keywords: LCPKS and NPK, green beans

Abstract

Procurement of medicinal plants is an urgent issue and the demand for increased community use traditional medicine. One the herbs that has not been developed is Alstonia scholaris. Propagation is conventionally the success rate still low. Vegetative propagation can be done using branch shoots, can be stimulated by growth regulators naturally one them is coconut water. This research aims to determine the effect of coconut water as plant growth regulator and the optimal concentration on the growth shoots branch Alstonia scholaris. This research uses aRandomized Complete Design (RCD) consisting of 6 treatments with 4 replications and some degree concentration of coconut water.K0: concentration 0% coconut water, K1: concentration 20% coconut water, K2: The concentration 40% coconut water, K3: concentration 60% coconut water, K4: coconut water concentration 80% and K5: 100% coconut water concentration.The results showed K3 (coconut water concentration of 60%) is the optimal treatment to stimulate the growth of branches Alstonia scholaris in aquadesmedia to sprout for 13,41 days,the number of branches shoot 4,00 and branch shoot long 8,73 mm. Keywords: Branch shootAlstonia scholaris (L.) Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of sago palm and pulp waste trichocompost get a dose of sago pulp waste trichocompost best in increasing the growth and yield of green beans. Research conducted experimentally using a randomized block design (RBD), which consists of 5 treatments and                               4 replications ie S0: Without Trichocompost waste sago, S1: Sago waste 15 tonnes/ha equivalent to 3 kg/2m2, S2: Trichocompost sago waste 12.5 tonnes/ha equivalent to 2,5 kg/2m2, S3: Trichokompos sago waste15 tonnes/ha equivalent to 3 kg/2m2 and S4: Trichocompost sago waste 17,5 tonnes/ha equivalent to 3,5 kg/2m2. The results those significant according to ANOVA, followed by Duncan's multiple range test at 5% level. Parameters measured were plant height, number of primary branches, flowering age, harvesting age, number of pods per plant, percentage pithy pods, seed weight per plot and weight of 1000 seeds. The results showed that application of trichocompost sago pulp waste on green bean plants increased plant height, number of primary branches, number of pods per plant, percentage pithy pods, seed weight per plot and weight of 1000 seeds. Giving trichocompost sago waste pulp at a dose of 17,5 tonnes/ha gives the highest yield in the number of primary branches, the percentage of peas pithy and weight of 1000 seeds. While the administration at a dose of 15 ton/ha gives the highest yield on plant height, number of pods per plant and seed weight per plot.  Keywords: green beans, sago pulp waste,  Trichocompost

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the density of solid waste of palm oil factory and NPK and get the dose of fertilizer that gives growth and yield of sweet corn plant. This research has been conducted at Experimental Garden of Agriculture Faculty of University of Riau, Campus of Bina Widya km 12,5 Simpang Baru Village, Tampan Sub District, Pekanbaru. This research has been conducted for three months from September until November 2016. This research was conducted experimentally using factorial randomized block design (RAK). The first factor consisted of 4 levels (LPPKS 0 ton / ha, LPKKS 10 tons / ha, LPPKS 20 tons / ha and LPPKS 30 tons / ha) and the second factor consisted of 2 levels (NPK 150 kg / ha, NPK 300 kg / ha ). The observed parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, diameter, length and cobs are weightless and not weighted, the production per m2, the number of seed lines, the number of seeds per line and the sugar content in the seeds. The result of variance is significantly different then continued by using BNJ test at the 5 % level. The results concluded that NPK treatment increased sweet corn yield. Production per m2 was positively correlated with all observation variables except for observed sugar levels in seeds that were negatively correlated.  Keywords: Sweet Corn, LPPKS, NPK
