Abstract

The study aims to: 1) analyze perception service and level of participation of member KUD Lembah Sawit. 2) knowwhere the service perceptions that influence the participation of members of KUD Lembah Sawit. This study as conducted with survey and sampling methods using simple random sampling as many as 48 samples. Analysis of data using the Likert Scale’s Summated Rating (SLR) and multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 16. Result illustrate that perceptions of service KUD Lembah Sawit in middle category with a score of 2.10 and the level of participation of members of KUD Lembah Sawit in middle category with score 1,99. The amount of influence perceptions of members of 63,7% as seen from the adjusted R square value, which means that the influence of a strong cooperative service given to the participation of members of KUD Lembah Sawit. Perceptions service cooperative that affect the participation of members of KUD Lembah Sawit are service saving and loan and service waserda. Saving and loan service affect the level of participation of members indicated very significant (0,00<0,05) whereas ditunjukkan waserda service with a significant level (0,02<0,05).   Keywords: Perception of service, participation of member, likert’s scale

Abstract

The research purpose is: 1) to analyze the farm of production of papaya california and papaya bangkok. 2) toanalyze the optimal allocation of resources owned by farmers of papaya california and papaya bangkok to achieve optimal condition in the Palas Village Rumbai District of Pekanbaru. The research was conducted in the Palas Village Rumbai District of Pekanbaru, the reserch was conducted approximately for 4 months with the survey method, the sample was taken as many as 32 samples by using purposive sampling method. the model of analysis that will be used in this research is to obtain the optimal combination of production rate by using Linear Programming models using QM for Windows version 1.3 to papaya california and papaya bangkok farm. From the research results of optimization analysis showing that the combination of production for papaya california and papaya bangkok is by planting 4.2065 Ha for papaya california and 2.5508 Ha for papaya bangkok. In the analysis of optimal resource that includes an active constraint is the availability of capital constraints and cost constraints of seeds which means if farmers increase the number of resource availability constraints, it will increase the rate of profit. While the other constraints, constraints of availability of land, labor costs constraints, fertilizers cost constraints, and pesticides cost constraints into passive constraints or excessive which means the availability of unused resources as a whole.   Keywords: Optimization, Production, Profits, Papaya

Abstract

Model of Sustainable food house region is a house that utilizes of yard intensively through  management of local natural resources wisely which ensures of the provision of household food continuously qualified and diverse.The purpose of this research to know: (1) how much of the role of extension worker in the Model of Sustainable Food Houses Region (M-KRPL) Program: (2) What is the problems who faced by women farming group in the implementationmodel ofsustainable food houses region (M-KRPL) program. This research was conducted in Tualang village Tualang district and Sialang Baru village Lubuk Dalam district Siak Regency. This research was conducted using survey method and make observations with respondents interviewedusing a questionnaire. Any responses of respondents question was made level of the role of extension worker in the model program region sustainable food house,Scale of Liker's Summated Rating (LSR) was used,While, the data collected  of this research are primary and secondary date. In terms of analyzing the data of this research used descriptivemethod, the which one   of analysis method and filtering the data are in connecting with the theories relating of issue,in order todrawa conclusionthat ispresented. The results showedthat therole of extension workerin the model of sustainable food houseregion on Matahari KWT and Cendana Wangi KWT in the M-KRPL program were categorized as good. Theproblems faced by members ofKWTinM-KRPL programinSiakisthe meansof production, water, the opennessof the local government that existof Matahari KWT and Cendana Wangi KWT and the lack of know ledgein the agricultural cultivation. Abstract

Rapid growth of palm oil demand has provoked land expansion to grow oil palm. However, deforestation caused by land expansion has negative impacts to the environment. Some internaltional non-governmental organizations have established certification program to mitigate these impacts. The objective of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil is to promote sustainable production in Palm Oil supply chain. The standard of RSPO certification consists of Principles and Criteria that must be complied by oil palm growers to be included in Palm Oil supply chain. The objective of this study is to analyse the performance of scheme and independent smallholders, to compare the performance of the two model of smallholders, and to assess the gap between the existing performance and the RSPO standard. Using a survey method the data were collected from selected farmers from the two farmers’ group. The result shows that the performance of scheme smallholders is better than the independent smallholders. The assessment on productivity and farm income also shows that scheme smallholders are higher than the independent smallholders. Finally, the scheme smallholders applied good agricultural practices more than the independent smallholders.   Keywords: Smallholders, performance, income, scheme smallholders, independent smallholers.

Abstract

Agroindustry sector is a sector which play important roles in provide added value for agricultural products, employment and foreign exchange earner for the Riau Province.This study aims to analyze the role of agroindustry sector against the economy of Riau Province through input-output structure review. The data in this research is data input-output table of  Riau Province basedthe price producers transactions in 2012 with 18 x 18 sector classification sourced from Bappeda of Riau Province. Analysis of the role of agroindustry sector is done through a review of the output and the input.The results show that:First, Agroindustrysector contributes highto the economy of the Riau Province. Secondly, in terms of output, component output establishment of agroindustry is driven by exports, intermediate output and consumption. Third, in terms of inputs, agroindustry sector is driven by the intermediate input, producer surplus and wages-salary.Based on these results, in order to encourage economic growth through the development of agroindustry sector it is necessary to the efforts of all parties involved, both government and private sector by developing agroindustry based commodities exports and increase direct investment that needs to be driven by the accumulation of capital from producer surplus.   Keywords: the role of agroindustry sector, input-output table, producer surplus

Abstract

The Sustainable Food House Area Model Program is a government’s program to fulfill the household nutrition and increase income by taking advantage from yard as farming area. This research aim to know the rate of increment household groups income before and after the program held, know the contribution M-KRPL program towards household groups income and know the problems that faced by farmer. Random sampling methode was the sampling technique that was used in this research which in accordance to the number of respondens were 42 samples in Siak Regency. Data were analyzed using farm income analysis, contribution analysis and t-test analysis. Based on the result, income before and after the program has been able to increase revenue and provide benefits to the group in Siak. The results of t-test showed that there was significance among groups activities to strive for M-KRPL program toward household income. Natural factors, techniques to overcome pests and disease, technology and capital were be problem that farmer faced. Keywords: M-KRPL program, household income, revenue

Abstract

Indonesia at this time stillincluding developing countriesas well as in Province of Riau, which is part of Indonesia.This is proved by the large majority of the population who worked in the agricultural sector and the largest contributor to non oil and gas GDP. The purpose of this study was to know the role the agricultural sector from the structure of the economy Province of Riau. The data used is the input-output table in 2012 with 20 x 20 sector classification obtained from the Badan Perencanaan Daerah (Bappeda). The analysis method used in this research is descriptive analysis. Analysis the role of agriculture conducted through of reviews from the input side and output side. The results shown that contribution of agricultural sector in province of Riau is big enough, where it is reflected from a large contribution of output compared to other sectors. Components formation of output to show that output side of agricultural sector is driven by further consumption followed investment and exports. While the components of input side is driven by producer surplus followed by wage-salary and depreciation. Based on these results in order to create a conducive economy, it’s necessary to efforts increase direct and indirect investment through capital accumulation that comes from producer surplus. Consumtion this time it is the largest constituent components. Although it Is the largest constituent components, but consumption can't create added value for the economy. If the investment continues to be improved in addition to increasing the value added to the economy, is also expected an increase in producer surplus that will be reused on the next investment activity. This research uses a purposive sampling method with respondents consisting of 24 members of SPP PNPM Sungai Pinang. Data collection method in this research is primary data and secondary data. To determine the social capital in this research using a quantitative method using a questionnaire in the form of Likert Scale.  From the research data showed that social capital in community development The results show that social capital in community development programs PNPM Mandiri is high with an average score 3.41 views from participation in networks, reciprocity, trust, social norms, values​​, and proactive action.Problems of social capital in community development programs is reciprocity, social norms, and actions that are proactive members. Abstract

The purposes of this research are: To determine the role of extension on independent smallholder farmers of oil palm in subdistrict Langgam. To determine the empowerment level of the farmers in in subdistrict Langgam. To analize the achievement of destination extension seen from better farming, better business, and better living. To analyze effect the role of extension toward empowerment and empowerment influence to the reaching of destination extension in subdistrict Langgam. The research was conducted in Langgam subdistrict of Pelalawan. Samples were determined by purposive sampling methods with consideration that the location has active extension activities and has farmers group. 120independent smallholder farmers of oil palm were taken as respondent. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, Likert Scale's Summated Rating (SLR), and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results showed: (1) The role of extension which consisting of a variable education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation as a whole are in the unfavorable category; (2) The level ofempowerment offarmers which consistingofvariablehuman resources, productiveeconomy, andinstitutionsas a whole isin the unfavorable category; (3) the purposeof role of extension which consisting of variable better farming, better bussines, and better overall living categorized good enough; (4) The relationship between the role of extension toward empowerment was shown with the value (4.247) and the relationship of empowerment toward the purpose of extension with the value (3.341). This proves that the role of extension significant effect on empowerment, as well as the purpose of extension.   Keywords: Role of extension, empowerments, independent smallholder farmers
