Abstract

The purpose of this research to analyze partnership implementation which has ran by PT. Gemilang Unggas Prima. Analyze the level of satisfaction plasma farmer on the implementation of partnership PT. Gemilang Unggas Prima. Research sites in the District of Kampar Kiri Tengah, Kampar Regensy. Interpretation sample method is usedpurposive sampling method which partnership minimal 3 periods who made respondents. There are 18 farmers who partnered on the PT. Gemilang Unggas Prima. Type of research is descriptive using quantitative and qualitative data. To collect data was done through interviews by questionnaires. Data analysis is descriptive used(Customer Satisfaction Index) CSI and (importance performance analysis) IPA. Result shows of the analysis partnership was indicated partnership pattern run of PT. Gemilang Unggas Prima is the plasma core system with the modelcontact farming bi-part, between companies and farmers are concerned with the letter of cooperation agreement, which in there are provisions of the right and obligation that must be meet by the companies and farmers. Other than, that the contract price of feed, DOC, and live chickens agreed in contract price determined by company. Result shows of the analysis satisfaction index of farmers(Customer Satisfaction Index) obtained 81, 20 % it means farmers are very satisfied with the performing of PT. Gemilang UnggasPrima. Based on the analysis (importance performance analysis) are variable that should be improved in performance company is the quality of variable fowl tools production.   Keywords :Satisfaction level, partnership, contract farming, broiler.

Abstract

The purpose of this observation is to explain local wisdom (ritual and myth) that existed in the agricultural environment of paddy and formulating strategies in maintaining local knowledge of agricultural environment of paddy in the village of Bungaraya sub Bungaraya district of Siak. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and SWOT with a sampling technique that uses snowball sampling technique or performed in sequence to ask for information on people who have been interviewed. The number of samples in this study is 13 samples. The analysis is used qualitative data analysis. Research shows that local knowledge rice farmers that once existed in the village of Bungaraya sub Bungaraya numbered 61 local wisdom. Local wisdom of rice farmers who still exist in the village Bungaraya sub Bungaraya numbered 19 local wisdom,local knowledge is still preserved farmers because of the tradition that can not be abandoned and still profitable. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of Indonesia's coffee exports and analyze the position of Indonesian coffee in the world market. The data used in this study was a secondary data export raw coffee Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia during the period 2001-2012. The data was taken from the land area, production, price, value and volume of exports of coffee in the world market. Supply and demand of coffee in the world market as long 2001-2012, overall was increase every years. Coffee offer influenced by land area, production, export value, export volume and the price of coffee by coffee producing countries in the world like Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia and Indonesia. The demand of coffee in the world during 2001-2012 has increase by sign of consumption and the amount of imports coffee in the world more increasing. The FOB price for Brazil, Vietnam and Indonesia has increase significantly during 12 years, accept Colombia. However, the Indonesian coffee still can be the price leader like Brazil, that affect the price of coffee in the world.   Keywords: coffee, position, production, export value, export volume.

Abstract

Semoga Sejahtera Cooperation have been roled in improving the economy and welfare of the members in various of business activities. The used of management cooperation is essential for the development and efficiency of cooperative efforts. The success of Semoga Sejahtera Cooperation is closely related to its performance. The performance appraisal of Semoga Sejahtera Cooperation is very important to describe how cooperatives the cooperation to run their business. In analyzing the performance of Semoga Sejahtera Cooperation with financial ratio analysis such as: the liquidity, solvency, profitability and activity as well as economic value added analysis is aimed to analyze the development of the cooperative financially over the last five years. This study uses a case study method with the object of research is Semoga Sejahtera Cooperation. The data required in this research consisted of primary data and secondary data. The result shows that the Semoga Sejahtera Cooperation has good financial performance during the last five years from 2009 to 2013. This can be seen from the analysis of financial ratios include liquidity ratio that can still be maintained in a liquid state, cooperative debt decreased, the ability of cooperatives to generate profits, the ratio aktivatas and positive economic value added.  Keywords : financial performance, financial ratio, economic value added

Abstract

Keritang subdistrict has a wide enough area of coconut farming, but it’s production is susceptible to fluctuations that tends to decrease and it’s productivity is low. This coconut farming still not use the right cultivation techniques. This can be seen from the behavior of farmers. Most of them do not use fertilizer, pesticides, and the farmer did not make the plants maintenance with good. This study aims to determine the efficiency of production activity of coconut farming  in Keritang subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Municipality. Methods of analysis is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), it is non parametrik methods based on linear programming. Based on the results of the efficiency of production showed that most of the coconut farming is inefficient technically, namely the use of labour has been more than capacity should be. Most coconut’s farmers also inefficient in allocation, because the price of inputs that paid by farmers greater than the output that they have received. If this coconut farming is inefficient in technical and it’s allocation, then the coconut farming also inefficient in the economy. According to these findings in economic, then (1) need any help from the government and the participation of farmers to bring out coconut farming  being appropriate with the right technique of coconut culvitation (2) efforts of the government is needed to control the input price and increase the output price (3) government intervention in terms to eliminate practice of monopsonic.     Key words : Coconut Farming, The efficiency of productions

Abstract

The research wasaimedto analyze the role of extension on independent smallholder rubberfarmer who included education, dissemination of information or innovation, facilitation, consultation, supervision, and monitoring or evaluation. The research was conducted in GunungToar village of GunungToar district KuantanSingingi Regency from March to December 2015. This research was using survey method. Determination of the respondents is purposive sampling with the consideration that the farmer is following the activities of the extension and is include into the group of farmers.  The Samples of this research was taking as many 120 farmers by the total were  60 from Toar and 60 from Gunung Villages. The Data analyzed was used  Scale Likert’s Summated Rating (SLR).The results showed that the role of extension on independent smallholder rubber farmer categorized “quite a role”  at farming activities in GunungToar District of KuantanSingingi Regency. The extension has categorized “quite a role” in providing consultation, education, dissemination of information or innovation and facilitation, but the extension less instrumental for providing supervision and monitoring or evaluation. The extension is expected to further enhance its role especially in the supervision and monitoring or evaluation is still categorized less of the role.   Keyword: The role of extension, independent smallholder rubber farmer

Abstract

In general, the main  purpose of this research is to analyze the factors respect to the economic decision making of the household coconut farmers of production, the alocation of working time, income and the expenditure in Keritang, Indragiri Hilir. Approach to econometrics simultaneous equations by the method of Two Stage Least Square (2SLS) is used to answer the research purposes. The results showed: first, the production respect to unresponsive by the amount of productive coconut. Secondly, the alocation of working time on coconut farming respect to responsive by the income of coconut farming and the use of hired  labor. The use of hired  labor respect to responsive by the income of coconut farming. The alocation of non-working time of coconut farming respect to unresponsive by the income of non-working time of coconut farming. Thirdly, the income of non-coconut farming respect to unresponsif by the alocation of non-working time of coconut farming. Fourthly, non-food consumption respect to responsive by the household total income, food consumption, investment education and savings. Business  investment, expenditure leisure , and savings respect to responsive by household total income. Fifthly, An important government policy that is associated with an increased price and revitalization of coconut. The need for an increase in price over the pricing policy of coconut product or realize the strong bargaining position of farmers. Keywords: Household  Economic, Economic Decision

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) analyze the social capital owned rubber farmers, 2) analyze the empowerment owned rubber farmers, and 3) to analyze the relationship of social capital towards the empowerment of the rubber farmers. This research was conducted in Gunung Toar of District Kuantan Singingi of regency. The sampling method using purposive sampling technique with the count of respondents 85 farmers. Collecting data in this research by using interviews and surveys. The data analysis using descriptive methods. Score calculation of social capital and the empowerment of rubber farmers using Likert scale and the relationship between social capital towards the empowerment of rubber farmers using Spearman rank correlation analysis. The results shown from this research (1) social capital rubber farmers in Gunung Toar of District has a scored of 3.88 in the high category (2) empowerment of rubber farmers in in Gunung Toar of Districtscored 3.31 in enough category (3) the relationship of social capital to the empowerment of rubber farmers as a whole has a very weak correlation. Thus, the high social capital is not unduly influence on the empowerment of rubber farmers in Kuantan Singingi. The problem that occurs is the lack of empowerment of rubber farmers in the Gunung Toar district. So the government in this case, have to cooperated with related institution to implement the empowerment process and fulfill the infrastructure is inadequated for the rubber farmers.       Keywords : Social Capital, Empowerment, Rubber Farmers

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: (1) to know the role of agricultural extension to the self-pattern rubber farming; (2) to know the empowerment rate of self-pattern rubber farmers; (3) to know how to achieve the extension goals seen from better farming, better business, and better living. This research was conducted in Logas Village and Muara Lembu Village Singingi District Kuantan Singingi Regency. The research method used survey method with 120 respondents, with details 60 farmers from Logas Village and 60 farmers from Muara Lembu Village. The results showed that the role of agricultural extension in Singingi District Kuantan Singingi Regency “not yet role” inself-pattern rubber farming activity with a score of 2,37 as seen from education, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation. The empowerment of self-pattern rubber farmersin Singingi District Kuantan Singingi Regency categorized “less powerful” with a score of 2,29 as seen from human resources, productive economy, and institutional, while the succes rate of extension goals seen from better farming, better business, and better living in Singingi District Kuantan Singingi Regency categorized “achieve enough” with a score of 2,96   Keywords: Extension Role, Empowerment, Extension Goals

Abstract

This study aims to identify institutions and to know the perception of oil palm farmer’s for institutional support Integration System of Oil Palm Cattle Programs (SISKA) in Kampar. Methods of data collection using survey methods. The population in this study were farmer’s who applied this SISKA Program and farmer’s are no longer valid SISKA this program. Samples of this technique is 37 people, including respondents who applied and did not apply this SISKA program. Data analysis used descriptive methods. Variables characteristic role of extension were analyzed using Likert Scale. Results shows that the role of Institutional Extension Support (SISKA) by indicator of education with role category, dissemination information or innovation in quite a role category, facilitation in of less a role category, consultancy in quite a role category, supervision or coaching quite a role category, monitoring and evaluation in quite a role category. The farmer’s perceptions of the SISKA program on the role of education institutions in Kampar obtained with quite a role category. Keywords: Perception, institutions, extension, integration.
