Abstract

Today, internet has become a part of everyday life for millennial society. An internet network addressing protocol is needed in order to connect one user to another user. Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is a standard routing protocol offered to choose interdomain paths. The main function of BGP is to exchange network coverage information between BGP routers and other BGP routers. BGP is also divided into 2 types, the External Border Gateway Protocol (EBGP) and the Internal Border Gateway Protocol (IBGP). GNS3 is used to design and simulate modeling the BGP protocol and capturing the data packets using wireshark. The results obtained from the measurement of Quality of Service (QoS) for multimedia traffic in the EBGP and IBGP networks are 55 ms delay (EBGP) and 82.5 ms (IBGP) for audio streaming. Meanwhile the throughput value is 1.182 Mbit/sec (EBGP) and 0.591 Mbit/sec (IBGP) for audio streaming. These results show the good performance is reached because the result meet both ITU-T G.114 and ITU-T G.1010 standards, which is a good average delay for sending packet data is <150 ms and packet loss is <1%. Abstract

Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) has total COD concentration 35.000 mg/L. In terms to treat the high strength organic wastewater, sludge from POME treatment plant which contained mixed cultures bacteria can be used as inoculum. This process was called seeding that has function to increase growth phase of the bacterial biomass by using glucose technical grade as substrate for bacteria to consumed. This study was conducted in Circulating Bed Reactor (CBR) as batch reactor with working volume of 25L, ratio of glucose : inoculum = 50% : 50%. This research aimed to study the effect of the glucose degradation in order to increase the bacterial biomass. This process was done in five days with removal rate of soluble COD and growth rate of VSS that has amount of 2.278 mg/L/day and 1.116 mg/L/day, respectively. Meanwhile the removal efficiency of soluble COD was 28,57% and growth efficiency of VSS was 67,4%. Abstract

Tuanku Tambusai Airport as one of pioneer airport is located in Rokan Hulu, Riau. The planning to open for commercial flights and more routes has became a serious issues in order to redesigning and development of the airport. In this matter, in term of function and physical appearance of the airport’s terminal is one of important matter. In this regard, the research methods used conducted to collect field data, literatures, and empirical studies. This redesign attempt has expressing more local design senses and keeping up with the times. Abstract

Pineapple leaf fiber is a natural fiber materials that has potential as the tool of fishing gear. However, natural fibers has the weakness, such as the low of breaking strength and prone to decayed. Therefore, it is necessary to used biosizing process for solving this problem. One of the biosizing agent that can be used is chitosan. The aims of this research is to know the effect of acetic acid concentration and soaking time on biosizing process against the breaking strength, elongation, water absorption, and density of the yarn fiber pineapple leaves. The variable process in this research is the concentration of acetic acid 2%, 4% and 6%, and biosizing time 20, 40, and 60 minutes. The study was conducted over several stages, like synthesis of chitosan from the crab shell, spinning the fiber into yarn, and the biosizing process. Biosizing yarn has mechanical and physical properties greater than natural fibers. The best results in this study is the treatment with 2% acetic acid concentration with soaking time of the yarn for 60 minutes with a breaking strength is 7.21 kgf/mm2, 28% elongation, 220% water absorption, and the density is 0.463 gr/cm3 . Based on FAO, pineapple leaf fiber yarn meet the standard as a fishing gear material, because it has a greater breaking strength than polyamide and polyetylene. Abstract

Elephant grass is lignocellulosic material that has the potential as raw material in pulping process. The objective of this research is to study effect of operational condition on the characteristic of pulp. Effect of the process condition were studied by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with Central Composite Design (CCD). Pulping Experiment were carried out at the boiling temperature of cooking liquorat atmosphere ic pressure with 40 gram of elephent grass with a concentration of formic acid were 60%, 70%, and 80%, cooking time were 60 minutes, 120 minutes, and 180 minutes, solid to liquor ratio were 10/1, 15/1, and 20/1, and catalyst HCl was 0,1%. The result showed that pulp of the elephant grass have yield pulp of 53,6% - 73,7%, lignin content of 11% - 19,5%, and tensile index of 47,93 – 205,491 Nm/g.   Keywords:  organosolv pulping, formic acid, elephant grass, CCD, RSM.

Abstract

Hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) is used in various biomedical applications because it has excellent biocompatibility and bioactive properties. The purpose of this study was to synthesize hydroxyapatite powder using the wet mechanochemical method and determine the effect of reaction time and the ratio of the grinding ball to the results of hydroxyapatite synthesis. At first mix CaO with a weight of 0.5 gr and NH4H2PO4 as much 0.615 gr with a Ca/P ratio of 1.67 then added with 10 ml of distilled water, and milling for 2, 4 and 6 hours with a time interval every 15 minutes stopping 5 minutes, using milled balls with the ratio of grinding balls between small milled balls (diameter of 0.3 cm) with large milled balls (diameter of 0.6 cm) are 1: 1, 1: 3, and 3: 1, with a total of 20 ball points. The results of the slurry formed were dried in an oven at 120oC and calcined at 900oC for 1 hour. The hydroxyapatite powder produced was characterized by XRD, SEM-EDX, BET and PSA. The longer reaction time of 2, 4 and 6 hours in hydroxyapatite synthesis increased the crystallinity of the samples is 86.3%, 91.5% and 95.9%. The form of hydroxyapatite is an agglomerate. The size of the hydroxyapatite powder particles produced at 6 hours with a ratio of small balls and large balls 3: 1 analyzed by PSA is 320.6 nm. The surface area of hydroxyapatite powder at 6 hours with the ratio of milled balls between small balls (diameter of 0.3 cm) and large balls (diameter of 0.6 cm) 1: 1 and 3: 1 are 18,818 m2 / gr and 5,517 m2 / gr. Abstract

Magnetite/hydroxyapatite composites can be applied in biomedical fields such as drug delivery, orthopedics, protein adsorption/release, hyperthermia therapy, and solid phase extraction from plasmid DNA. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of reaction temperature and hydroxyapatite ratio on the crystallinity, crystal size, particle size, magnetism and morphology of the composites of magnetite/hydroxyapatite synthesized using the hydrothermal method. Composites were synthesized from 2 mmol of FeCl3, 4 mmol of citrate and 6 mmol of urea which were dissolved in 40 ml of distilled water and stirred at 300 ppm using a magnetic stirrer for 15 minutes, then added 7.5 g/L polyethylene glycol and commercial hydroxyapatite of various concentrations (70%, 80% and 90%) and stirred again for 1 hour. Then the suspension was put into a hydrothermal container and in the oven at a temperature of 200oC, 220oC, and 240oC for 12 hours. The magnetite/hydroxyapatite composite particles obtained were then characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The magnetite particles produced are cubicly shaped and hydroxyapatite were hexagonally shaped. The increase in reaction temperature from 200 oC to 240oC at the concentration of magnetite are 10% increased the crystals size of magnetite from 22,87 nm to 24,162 nm and crystal size of hydroxyapatite increased from 26,456 nm to 27,8 nm. While the increase in the concentration of magnetite in composite from 10% and 30% at 240oC increased the crystal size of magnetite from 24,162 nm to 27,472 nm, decreased the crystal size of hydroxyapatite from 27,8 nm to 26,288 nm. Magnetite/hydroxyapatite composite were superparamagnetic with coercivity 0,2 Oe and saturation magnetization (Ms) 4,2 emu/g. Abstract

Development Area V is the most densely populated area with an area of 32% from Pekanbaru City. Based on BPS (2017), the area Development V 140,96 km2 consists of 3 subdistricts, Tampan District, Marpoyan Damai, and Payung Sekaki. Population growth in this region is influenced by several factors, residential areas, higher education centers, city government office buildings and hospitals (RPJMD Pekanbaru, 2017-2022). The high number of residents in WP V with a variety of population activities will certainly have an effect on the resulting CO2 emissions. This research will be conducted on the calculation of the amount of CO2 emissions with IPCC (1996) method from household activities. The primary carbon emissions related to fuel use. Based on the calculation results, it was found that the primary CO2 emissions from fuel use generated in WP V Kota Pekanbaru is 3.136,1 ton CO2/month. Abstract

Bioplastic or biodegradable plastic is one of alternative replacement to conventional plastic that has the potential to harmful to the environment. One of the raw material that has the potential to be made into bioplastic is sago starch because it has ability to degraded. The general purpose of this research is to determine the characteristics of sago-based bioplastic by modified the citric acid, microcrystalline cellulose filler, plasticizer gliserol and create mathematical models of research parameters for bioplastics characteristics using statistical method. The synthesis method is casting of starch, water, filler MCC and plasticizer Glycerol with composition of filler is (15-25 % b/b), composition of plasticizer (25–35 % b/b), and composition citric acid (3-9 % b/b). The results showed that the treatment with the addition of MCC fillers, glycerol plasticizers, and citric acid are contributed to the mechanical properties produced. In the best process conditions (25% b / b MCC filler in 25% b / b glycerol plasticizer with 3% citric acid b / b) the best response value was obtained for the value of tensile strength of 9.34 MPa, elongation of 8.79%,and biodegradation of 65.68%. Abstract

Application based on web can be interpreted as a program in the form of software on a particular system. Application is useful to help various activities carried out by human. CV. Cipta Sejahtera is a company engaged in the sale of various building items. The company is still using Manual Methods of Managing Data using Handwritten Accounting. The manual data collection process takes a long time, data duplication occurs by human error. Besides it reporting is often too late because it requires a long time due to having to recapitalize data on goods and data on goods expenditure. This company still does not use a system that can predict sales. The used method in this study to predict sales is Naive Bayes Methode. The Naïve Bayes method can predict goods automatically is classified as the best-selling, selling or not in demand by graphical form. This application can also order items directly on the web using Email. This application is built using 108 sales data. Where the data is divided into two parts, namely 54 training data and 54 testing data with four input variables including: Initial Stock, Stock, Number of Transactions, Transaction Items. This from application is made by using the PHP Programming Language and Mysql Database. Prediction testing in this study shows that Naive Bayes can predict sales with 98.14% accuracy and error 1.85% from 54 testing data. Keywords: CV.
