Abstract

The issue of global warming and the amount of energy consumption is one of the biggest problems of the air conditioning system and refrigeration used today, so technology that isenvironmentally friendly and also energy efficient is needed. The adsorption cooling system is one ofthe technologies for air conditioning and refrigeration systems that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly because the refrigerants used do not contain haolocarbon and not usingcompressors in the system so that it saves energy. In this study a double bed adsorber adsorption system with silica gel-water is designed as an adsorbent-adsorbate. as an adsorbent-adsorbate. The adsorption cooling system contains 2 adsorber and finned and tube pieces as heat exchangers. Where the fin uses 1 mm thick alumanium and the tube uses copper outer diameter of 9.52 mm with a time ofadsorption and desorption for 20 minutes.Keywords : Adsorption, Design, Adsorben, Adsorbat.

Abstract

The number of passengers of Hang Nadim Airport Batam is experiencing saturation so that it is necessary to develop the passenger terminal against existing regulations. It is known that in 2015 the number of passengers reached 5.20 million passengers and this already exceeded the passenger capacity planned earlier in 2008, which was 5 million passengers with a passenger terminal area of 30,677 m2. The method for knowing the available capacity can now be developed or not using the airport operational utility level method, the data used are advanced survey data, the largest annual passenger, and busy passenger on numbers. In planning, development there are two types of equations used, namely is simple linear regression and the multiple linear regression, where the non-independent variable data is the recapitulation of air transport data from 2007 to 2016 in the form of aircraft, passenger and cargo movements while the independent variable is population data, domestic products gross regional, and per capita income. The relationship between non-free variables and independent variables is very strong so it can be processed using the SPSS computer program to obtain the equation analysis model. The need for building terminal development for the next 10 years, 2017 to 2026 aims to expand terminal building, passenger capacity, and passengers during busy times. The results of the terminal building development plan during the planned year are 2026 covering an area of 59,079 m2 with a passenger capacity reaching 9,481,174 people which can accommodate 2,430 people during a passenger rush hour.Keywords: Saturation, Passenger, Capacity, Development

Abstract

One of the wastes produced by the petroleum industries is oil sludge. Therefore the handling of oil sludge by utilizing it as a partial substitute for asphalt in a pavement mixture is an effort to reduce the buildup. Road pavements in Indonesia often damaged before its pavement servise life ended because the roads usually submerged by water flood at the rainy seasons. The research aims to determine durability level on HRS-WC mixtures by using oil sludge due to the influence of soaking time. Variations of oil sludge used were 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% of optimum weight asphalt content in the mixture. Tests were performed using the Marshall test specification of Bina Marga 2010 with modification of immersion duration, i.e. 24 hours, 96 hours, and 168 hours of immersion in the bath with the temperature of 60 ºC. Based on the result of the research, the influence of long soaking influential adequate significant on the durability a mixture of HRS-WC with using oil sludge as a partial substitute for asphalt. The lenght of immersion that meets the specification with minimum retained strenght value 90% for almost all variations of oil sludge content is 96 hours immerson. Maximum oil sludge content that meets the specification for 96 hours immersion is 6% with value of retained strenght 90.64%, first durability indeks 0.37% and second durabiity indeks 8.90%.Keywords: Oil sludge, HRS-WC, Bina Marga Specification 2010 Revision 3, durability

The beauty center has four main facilities Beauty Plaza, where visitors can buy all kinds of beauty care products, Beauty Center is the place to toe treatment, Beauty Gallery isefforts to maintain health, beauty from inside and outside, freshness and relaxation to balance the body, mind and soul (mind, body & spirit) both with a source of minerals, massages, aromatherapy and herbs, as well as Beauty Clinic is beauty services by focusing on service health. This method uses the theme of organic architecture of Frank Lloyd Wringht as a form of architecture of buildings that can be fused and friendly to the natural surroundings so as to provide comfort and relaxation to visitors. As a result of this design to apply the concept Refresh, so that visitors can indulge, relax yourself from everyday activities that create stress and pressure so as to beautify themselves from the outside and the inside. Abstract

Low carbon steel can be welded with all types of welds. One of the welding techniques is SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), which has its own advantages, under which the large current can be varied as the heat source used, easy to use in different welding positions and penetration and width of melting electrodes can be adjusted. This study uses an SMAW welding machine with a sliding adaptive two-axis system that varies the current strength and welding speed according to the characteristics of the weld, by visual observation, tensile strength and microstructure on the weld. The parameters were varied from the strength of the 90 A, 100 A and 120 A currents and the welding speed controlled by the Arduino Uno with the rotation of the stepper motor as a driver. The material used a low-carbon steel, using V camp with a vertical angle of 600. The results of the study show that the highest tensile strength of 505.31 Mpa and the lowest value of 224.20 Mpa. The micro-weld structure was determined by many factors, including heat input, current, welding speed and cooling speed. In this study, the HAZ area has a larger grain structure than the base metal and the weld metal.keywords Current, Welding Speed, SMAW, Sliding Adaptive Two.

Abstract

Agam Regency is one of the regencies at West Sumatra Province had a vision "Independently Agam and Civil Achievement" means the atmosphere of people’s lives that reflect Islamic personality have faith and devotion. As civil city, Agam Regency need a Islamic education fasility to create sustainable education from the level of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), to the level Madrasah Aliyah (MA) get excellent character and quality at Islamic sector. The design of this Integrated Madrasah applies the characteristics of Architecture.Rumah Gadang such as using stilts, bagonjong roof, round poles, material, colors, and ornaments as a reference in the design. Rumah Gadang such as using stilts, bagonjong roof, round poles, material, colors, and ornaments as a reference in the design. Research method used includes primary data in the form of observation and documentation as well as secondary data in the form of literature studies and comparative studies. The concept of Integrated Madrasah is "Lights" as a light and can be seen to provide comfort for its user. Rumah Gadang Architecture makes the appearance of Integrated Madrasah buildings more integrated with the surrounding environment. Abstract

Lightening is one of important factors in designing a room. Lightening intensity does not meet the standards can affect eye health and work activities. In this study measurement of Lightening intensity strongly is carried out in the New Building of the Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Pekanbaru (STTP). From the measurement that have been made is less than the standard, which expected based on SNI 6197-2011. Therefore, evaluation and recalculation the number of lamp is carried out by using the zonal cavity method and then, it is simulated by using software dialux evo 8.1. From the results of calculation using the zonal cavity method, the Lightening strong expected for the rooms can be derived and simulates using software dialux display a room in three-dimensional form displays the strong results of the Lightening intensity in the room directly. In using dialux software, there are three types of lamp used, namely attach lamp, in hanging lamp and down light lamp.Keywords: SNI 6197-2011, Lamp, Zonal Cavity Methods, software dialux evo 8.1, variation of lamp.

Abstract

Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) is a network technology that allows LTE networks to run on two different frequencies. This network speed of LTE – A can reach up to 1 Gbps. In Indonesia there are limitations of network frequency allocation. So, network design options are made by combining frequency and bandwidth on the network. The purpose of this study is to design an LTE-Advanced network with the Carrier Aggregation (CA) method. CA is a method that can combine two or more components of a carrier with maximum bandwidth of 20 MHz. In Kampar Regency itself there is no implementation of the LTE-Advanced network. In this research the design of the LTE-A network uses the interband-non-contiguous CA method. After getting the results, a network comparison is made between using CA or without the CA method based on planning by coverage and planning by capacity. The frequency bands used are 900 MHz and 1800 MHz with a total bandwidth of 15 MHz. Parameter test results show that. Coverage by signal level in non-CA method at 900 MHz frequency 5 Mhz bandwidth has a value of 99.83% on signal level >80 dBm, while at 1800 MHz frequency 10 MHz bandwidth has a value of 99,85% at the signal >80 level dBm. On the other side Coverage by signal level on CA frequency 900 & 1800 MHz with a total bandwidth of 15 MHz is superior at 99.97% with a signal value of >80 dBm. So that it can be concluded that the design with CA techniques has superior value compared to Non-CA.Keywords: Advanced LTE, carrier aggregation, planning by coverage, planning by capacity, bandwidth, signal level.

Abstract

Sang Nila Utama Museum is a regional museum located in Riau Province that stores and exhibits historical objects, especially objects used by indigenous tribes in Riau. To make it easier for visitors to find out information about historic objects, software application is made with Augmented Reality (AR) Technology. This application implements the method of Marker Based Tracking and Markerless Augmented Reality. Several stages of application designed such as collecting data from the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Sang Nila Utama Museum like as design an interface, buliding up and database and information displayed, put in the application designed in to Android package (Apk). To build this designed application, tools such as Unity 3D, Vuforia Object Scanner, Vuforia SDK, Android SDK, Java Development Kit, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere Pro are used. Abstract

Silica-based membrane are an attractive choice for the purification process because of the size of the pores and morphology which provides higher selectivity. In this study, the synthesis and characterization of silica membranes was carried out with a mass variation of Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA) for waste water treatment hotel. The purpose of this study was to determine the characterization of silica membranes obtained by SEM, FTIR and tensile strength, and to determine the performance of membrane against the Flux and Rejection test with the effect of a mixture of PVA mass using raw materials in the form of pure silica. Making silica membranes with mass variations of PVA are 3, 6 and 9 grams and variations in pressure 1, 3 and 5 bars. The process of making silica membranes is the manufacture of PVA solution where the composition consistedof PVA, HNO3, and aquades. Then PEG solution where the composition consisted of PEG 400, Na2SiO3 and aquades. Then mixing PVA and PEG solutions in pure silica. The results showed Silica membrane with a mass of 3 grams of poly vinyl alcohol has the highest permeability of 24,758 L/m2.H.Keywords: membrane, waste, poly vinyl alcohol and ultrafiltration.
