Abstract

Abstract: This study looks at the comparative greeting kinship system with Malay language Banjar Guntung River. This study aimed to describe the system greeting relationship with the Malay language Banjar Guntung River. The method used in this research is descriptive method based on facts and data obtained in the field. Data collection for this research using interview techniques and information from informants and documentation techniques include. The results of the research I have discovered have shown in this study that the relationship greeting Malay language Banjar system and offer guidance to people who are bwlood relations penyapa greet directly or marriage.Keywords: Systems of designation of kinship, Banjar language and Malay

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the rise of the action to express opinions in public that disrupt public order by being anarchists. Whereas in expressing opinions in public has no laws that govern namely Law No. 9 of 1998 concerning Freedom Prepaid Suggests Public Opinion. Students as intellectuals active in monitoring the running of the government, so in berpersepsi they will be more critical academic. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions on the implementation of Law No. 9 of 1998 concerning Freedom Prepaid Suggests Public Opinion. This research was conducted at the university riau pekanbaru. Samples of this study was 180 respondents, 20 respondents representing each of the faculties with a total of 9 faculties. Using quota sampling technique. Data from this study were obtained from questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Mechanical if the data were analyzed descriptively, in processing the data obtained from a questionnaire distributed to respondents is presented in the form of a percentage, using the formula P = F / N x 100%. Based on the writer's observation field that students' perceptions on the implementation of Law No. 9 of 1998 on freedom of expression in public is "good".Keywords: perception, students, the implementation of Law No. 9, 1998, freedom of expression

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the proliferation of homeless and beggars in the city of Pekanbaru which mosey and begging in public places. Formulation of the problem in this research is how the perception of non goverment organizations on the implementation, enforcement and development of homeless and beggars by the social services and the funeral of Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of non goverment organizations on the implementation, enforcement and development of homeless and beggars by the social services and the funeral of Pekanbaru. The study population was as many as 30 non goverment organizations working in the social field, and the sample 6 non goverment organizations by using purposive sampling technique. Instrument data research is a questionnaire with 36 questions. Data analysis using descriptive and qualitative analysis. Research in the field indicates that respondents non goverment organizations officers who answered "very good" in the amount of 0.94% who answered "good" that is equal to 37.04% who answered "less good" by 55.09% who answered "not good" that is equal to 6.94%. So we can conclude the perception of non goverment organizations to conduct, control and guidance homeless and beggars by the social services and the city cemetery is less well Pekanbaru.Keywords: Perception of non Government Organization, policing and coaching, vagrants and beggars2

Abstract

Abstrack: This study uses a common phoneme people often used Bagan Siapi-api and public Pujud and research found significant variations in language in trems of greeting someone from one place to another with the pronounciation, intonation or words uttered by the speaker differences within the region. This research was conducted in Rokan Hilr precisely in Bagan Siapi-api and in the district Pujud. The method used in this research is descriptive and comparative method that aims to describe and compare the type of phonemes found in Riau Malay Language Dialect Rokan Hilir Subdialek Bagan Siapi-api and Subdialek Pujud and this study used a qualitative approach. The result of this study to obtain three types of phonemes with details as follows: (1) six vocal phonemes, (2) twenty consonant phonemes (3) nine phonemes diphthongs and as many as 256 data.Keyword: comparative, phonemes, riau malay language, rokan hilir

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aimed to describe the use of repetition and collocation in an editorial the newspaper Kompas. This research uses descriptive method. The study concluded that the use of repetition in Kompas newspaper editorial amounted to 128 data. The use of full reps edition March 11, 2015 until 11 April 2015 amounted to 40 (13 22 word phrase and clause 5). Repetition with other forms of editorial Kompas newspaper March 11, 2015 until 11 April 2015 amounted to 30 data. Reps with the replacement in an editorial the newspaper Kompas March 11, 2015 until 11 April 2015 amounted to 57 the data (48 words and phrases 9). Reps with hyponymy and hypernymy in Kompas newspaper editorial edition March 11, 2015 until 11 April 2015 amounted to 1 data. Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to find out the ability of the fourth semester students of English Study Program of FKIP University of Riau in using agreements. The researcher used cluster random sampling technique to determine the sample. The samples were 26 students. The study was used to find out the ability in five types of agreements such as agreements with indefinite pronoun, agreements with expression of quantity, agreements with some irregularities, agreements with nouns with no singular form, and agreements with collective noun. Cloze procedure test was used to gain the data with the number of tests is 40 questions. The result of the study revealed that the total mean score was 56 which indicated students were in average level of ability. The highest score with the mean score 67.7 was in using agreements with nouns with no singular form, it is in good level. Whereas, the lowest score with the mean score 45.6 was in using agreements with collective noun, it is in poor level.Keywords: Students’ ability, Grammar, Agreements

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of “find the difference” game on speaking ability of the second year students of SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru. This research was conducted toward the second year students of SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru from October to November 2015. The researcher used cluster random sampling technique to determine the sample. The sample was class VIII.4 which consisted of 23 students. The data was collected by giving a pre-test and a post-test to students in the form of picture describing. The data was assessed by three raters and analyzed by using SPSS 18. The result of the reserch showed the different score in the pre-test and the post-test was 27.42. The score of the pre-test was 45.62 and the score of the post test increased to 73.04. Moreover, from statistical analysis, it was found out that the t-test 23.320 was bigger than t-table 2.074 at level significance of 0.05. It means that there was a significant effect of “Find the Difference” game on the students’ speaking ability. Therefore, it can be concluded that applying “Find the Difference” game is effective to improve students’ speaking ability.Keywords:”Find the Difference” game, Speaking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: Basically, this study aims to describe the type and function of onomatopoeic comic Mahabharata. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive method to describe the type and function of onomatopoeic comic Mahabharata. The results of the study and discussion of data acquisition: (1) In the comics Mahabharata, there are three types of onomatopoeic used in the comic. The types of onomatopoeic contained in the comics is a) onomatopoeic sound human, b) onomatopoeic sound of the animal, and c) other onomatopoeic sound. 2) function onomatope used in comics is a) expression functions b) exploration function.Keywords: onomatopoeia, comic, mahabharata

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the collocation that used in Salah Asuhan novel by Abdoel Moeis with Negeri 5 Menara novel by Ahmad Fuadi which is classified into two kinds of collocation, they are antonym inclusive collocation and antonym exclusive collocation. The method in this research is analytical descriptive method with qualitative approach. In this research, writer use data technique accumulation by notation and documentation. The result that found in this research are inclusive collocation and exclusive collocation.Based on the research, writer found that both of two objects which are used by writer are indicate antonym inclusive collocation genre and the similarity of collation genre. The used of collocation between each novels are indicate the difference and similarity in using compatible words, and based on the research, the using of collocation between novel that accomplished by research object, has variation in using collocation genre.Key words: collocation antonym inclusive, collocation antonym exclusive, novel.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is about Shifted And Mixed Code in Novel the 99 Light on the Sky of Europe by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra: An Assessment of Sociolinguistics. This research will discuss a few things, namely the language of the source code switching and code-mixing and then factors that cause code switching and code-mixing. This study aims to determine and describe the language of the source and the factors that cause the code switching and code-mixing happen. After the research was conducted, the obtained result of this study is 223 of data shif code and code-mixing. From this 223 data divided into 39 shif data rather code and data is code-mixing. From 39 of the data shif code data and 184 mix code consisting of 19 internal data, 13 data is external, 7 data switching between foreign languages , while language is the source of the shif come from 5 languages (Indonesian, English, German, Arabic, and Spanish). Meanwhile, of the 184 code-mixing data is divided into 21 data that sourced from Indonesian, 116 data that sourced from English, 23 data that sourced from German and Arabic, and the last one of the data is sourced from the Spanish.Keywords: Instead of code, code-mixing, sociolinguistics, novel
