Abstract

Abstract: Mosque Raya An-Nur Riau Province is the largest and grandest mosque located in the center of Pekanbaru City, the shape of this building looks like architectural style of Arab Countries, Turkey, India and Malay. The influence of Malay culture appears on wooden pulp wood carving motifs located in mihrab The influence of Arab culture can be seen on the decorative elements of calligraphy written in the building Mosque Raya An-Nur Riau Province. Most people call this mosque building resembling the Taj Mahal in India. The construction of Mosque Raya An-Nur is the era of Riau Province Government led by Governor II Kaharudin Nasution in 1963, then completed the development is during the Riau Province governance led by Riau Governor III Arifin Ahmad, marked by the inauguration by Governor Arifin Ahmad On October 19 1968 with the signing of Inscription. After Shaleh Djasit was inaugurated as Governor of Riau in 1998. The management appealed to the Governor to renovate Masjid Raya An-Nur In line with the renovation activities, the various parts of existing facilities such as study rooms, towers built in 1990 overhauled and removed for erected buildings supporters on both sides of the Grand Mosque building of An-Nur Mosque with various facilities such as kindergarten, elementary school, and Bilal House and will be built more versatile multipurpose building. renovation activities of main building and supporting facilities began to be implemented since 2002 in Riau Province led by Riau Governor H. Saleh Djasit. Renovation activities completed in 2006 in Riau Province led by Riau Governor H. M. Rusli Zainal. Grand Mosque Building An-Nur Riau Province and its supporting facilities inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono On August 11, 2007 with the golden anniversary of Riau Province to-20 in 2015 the name of the Grand Mosque changed into Mosque Raya An-Nur Riau Province.Key Words: History, Mosque, Riau

Abstract

Abstract: In the world of education that affects various aspects one of them is emotional intelligence and self-control that can harm other people and students themselves. This study aims to determine the emotional intelligence and self-control students in schools, as well as to determine the emotional intelligence of students in relation to student self-control. This research type is descriptive research. Population in this research is all class X student counted 6 class with total 210 student. sample size 165 students taken 75% of the population members. This study can be concluded that: 1) Emotional intelligence of students more than half are in the high category. With the most choices on self-regulation and motivation aspects of the highest score. Emotional intelligence of female students is higher than male students, 2) Student self-control is almost entirely in the high category. With the most choice on decision control aspects and cognitive control aspects at the highest score. Self-control of female students is higher than that of male students, and 3) Emotional intelligence of students in relation to student self-control is the highest emotional intelligence is in high self-control category, and emotional intelligence is in high self-control category.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Self Control

Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive research aimed to know L1 interference on English Study Program FKIP – Universitas Riau students’ essay writing and to find out the types of interferences that are commonly made by the students of English Study Program FKIP – Universitas Riau. This study used a descriptive research designed to examine the interference of L1 on English Study Program students’ writing. The population of this research was the 5th semester students of English Department (2015), Universitas Riau which consisted of 3 classes with the total of 90 students. The sample of this study was 25% from 90 students or 22 students. The instrument of the research was a writing test. The participants were asked to choose one of the five topics and write an essay about the topics that is given. The aspects of writing which were evaluated in this research were grammar, spelling, dictions and organizations. There were 61.09% students that were found making error in grammar, 15.89% that were found making error in spelling, 18.63% that were found making error in Diction, and 4.16% that were found making error in Organization. Based on the data calculation, the results showed the significant interference of students’ mother tongue (L1) towards the students’ essay writing at English Study Program FKIP - Universitas Riau.Keywords : Interference, L1, essay, writing

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop a valid computer based learning media to help students to understand the topic of area and volume of revolution. This research uses development model by Sugiyono, the following stages are: (1) potential and problem; (2) collect information; (3) product design; (4) design validation; (5) design revision; (6) product testing; (7) product revision; (8) usage testing; and (9) product revision. At the stage of potential and problem, the researcher created a needs analysis of observation and interviews with Mathematics teacher. Then, researcher collected the informations by conducting literature studies. Product design is through two stages, that are making paper based design and then computer based that used microsoft power point program. The learning media is validated by three validators used validation sheet and obtained an average score of 3,76 (very valid). Then revised based on the input from validators. The revised learning media was tested by questionnaire technique using student response questionnaire. The testing was conducted through two stages towards the students of class XI MIPA 2 SMA N Binaan Khusus Dumai. The first stage is a product testing of 6 students. Further revision of the product according to the student's suggestion on product testing. The second stage is the usage testing of 25 students and obtained an average score of 3.58 (very practice). Then revised the product according to the student's suggestion on usage testing. Thus, can be concluded that computer based learning media is valid and qualified practicalities.Key Words: Computer Based Learning Media, Development, Area and Volume of Revolution

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to produce an authentic assessment instrument of environmental change and conservation materials on biology learning with inquiry learning biology class X SMA. The research was conducted in Biology Education Campus of FKIP University of Riau and SMAN 2 Bangko Pusako in November 2017. The subject of this research is authentic assessment instrument of KD 3.11 material of environmental change and preservation. The way to analyze the authentic assessment instruments that teachers have made is to use assessment indicators. Assessment indicators are made according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum for each competency, both cognitively, affectively, psychomotorically. The result of analysis of authentic assessment instrument made by class X researcher for biology study of material change and environmental preservation in SMAN 2 Bangko Pusako can be seen that for written assessment test with average 3,26 with very valid category, attitude evaluation with average 3,36 with category is very valid, performance assessment with mean 3.56 with category very valid, assessment of project with mean 3.5 with category very valid, product rating with mean 3.5 with category very valid, self assessment with mean 3,42 with category very valid, portofolio assessment with average of 3.47 with very valid category.Key words: Authentic assessment, material change and environmental conservation,X-class biology teacher, SMAN 2 Bangko Pusako

Abstract

Abstract : This research aimed to find out the effect of using Jigsaw techique on the ability of the first year students of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru in comprehending narrative texts. This study was one group pre-test and post-test design. The population of this study was the first year students of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru which consisted of 7 classes with the total of 238 students. The sample of this study was X.4 class with 35 students. The writer, during treat the students, found that students’ motivation to read the text increase. Besides, students got more confidences to split out their opinion while discussion and present the result in front of the class. After treatment was held, the writer distributed the tests. The instrument of the research was a reading test with multiple choice type. The result showed a strong correlation between Jigsaw technique and students’ reading comprehension. Tobs result also showed that the students’ mean score of the post-test (75.89) was higher than the pre-test (64.74). Besides, the results of the analysis showed that the t-test was higher than the ttable (2.704<15.191>1.684) at the level sig. of 0.01 and 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) n-1=34. Based on the data calculation, the results showed the effects of using Jigsaw technique on the ability of the first year students of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru in comprehending narrative texts. Based on the result of this study, the writer over some suggestions. For the teacher, they are expected to arrange the teaching and learning process well in order to make students more active and gives respond well to the material. This study also useful for students. Students are expected to study more and respond in learning process. At last, for the next researcher, they are expected to improve and solve the problems that the researcher does not achieve at this time.Keywords: Jigsaw, Reading Comprehension, Narrative Text

Abstract

Abstrak: The phenomenon of behavioral changes and moral damage that occurs in adolescents today has come to a very poor condition, where many teenagers who experience moral degradation in various aspects ranging from speech, how to dress up dating behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the behavior of students who are flirting and know the moral behavior of students who are flirting. sample of this research there are students who dating as many as 48 people by using purposive sampling. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. In this study the instrument used is a closed questionnaire. To analyze data use using the percentage formula. The conclusion from the result of this research indicates that student dating behavior in SMP Negeri 40 Pekanbaru is still in normal category, showing only sympathy and empathy toward the opposite sex, While the moral of students who are dating is included in the category of less good because the students are dating always to the parents.Key Words : Behavior, Flirtation, Moral

Abstract

Abstract: This research titled inner conflict in novel you are Ai by Yulismar. The purpose of this research is to describe the inner conflicts of the main character in the novel of you are Ai by Yulismar. Describes the cause of the inner conflicts of the main character in the novel you are Ai by Yulismar. Describe the solution of the inner conflict in novel you are Ai by Yulismar. The result of inner conflict research in the novel has been observed that the inner conflicts amount to 30 data, the cause of the inner conflict amounted to 30 and the completion of the inner conflict amounted to 30 data. The total data is 90 data. The inner conflicts felt by the main character are more tantalistic to avoidance of dodge. The cause of the inner conflicts experienced by the main character is more caused by other figures or external. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the effect of reactive box jump training on the results of long jump female students 5A academic year 2015/2016. The population in this research is 9 people. This research technique using total sampling technique. The instrument used is the long jump result. Based on research conducted on 9 sample people by doing preetes (preliminary test) of long jump result. Then continued with Reactive box jump for 16 meetings, after that done postes long jump results, results obtained from pretest and postes in t-test analyzes. The result of hypothesis test shows that the tcount of 3,784 with ttable 1,860 mean thitung>ttable, then H_a accepted, at alfa (α) 0,05. Based on the analysis and statistics,there is an average preetest of 2,78 and average posttest 2,99 with a difference of average value is 21. It can be concluded that there is an effect of reactive box jump training on the long jump results of female students in the 5A academic year 2015/2016.Keywords : Reactive box jump,long jump

Abstract

Abstract: Research on foreign ownership, public ownership and company value has been done by many previous researcher, but the result has not been consistent, that some have influence and some have no influence. Thus, researchers are interested in re-examining foreign ownership, public ownership and corporate value. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of foreign ownership, public ownership and corporate value. The population of this study is a transport sector company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange which has complete data on foreign ownership, public ownership and corporate value for four consecutive years 2013-2016. The type of data from this research variable is secondary data obtained by documentation technique that comes from Indonesian stock exchange website (www.idx.co.id). Methods of data analysis using regression.The result of the research shows that foreign ownership and public ownership influence simultaneously and partially to company value.Keywords: foreign ownership, public ownership, corporate value
