Abstract

Abstract: The study was aimed to describe students' scientific attitudes on science learning in class VII. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru in April 2018 to December 2018. The subjects in this study was seventh grade students of Pekanbaru Public Middle School 13 semester 2017/2018 academic year. The type of research used was descriptive research with survey methods, types of content analysis or documents. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. The results of the data analysis showed students’scientific attitude in sufficient categories with a percentage of 57.14%, in the good category of 28.57% and in the excellent category 14.28%, while for the 2nd meeting scientific attitudes of students in the good category amounted to 85.71% and the category was very good amounting to 14.28%, overall the scientific attitudes of students in first meeting with an average score of 2.2 in the category which increased enough at the 2nd meeting with a score of 2.8 in the good category. Based on data analysis it can be concluded that overall the scientific attitude of students in science learning is in a good category.Key Words: Science Learning, Scientific Approach, Scientific Attitude

Abstract

Abstract: The problem of this research is that there is still a lack of speed in the side kicks of male fighters in the Indonesian young warrior college. The purpose is to prove whether there is a relationship between reaction time and leg muscle power with the speed of the side kick of a male teenager in the Indonesian young warrior college in the subdistrict of Dayun, so that when doing side kicks fighter can hit opponents and make it difficult for opponents to counterattack. This research technique uses total sampling, where the total population is sampled. This study uses correlation techniques. Then, the test data used the normality test, the moment correlation product test, a significant test α = 0.05. The normality test variables X1, L0max (0.0945) <Ltabel (0.319), X2, L0maks (0.1271) <Ltabel (0.319), and the normality test Y, L0max (0.2307) <Ltabel (0.319) in other words 95% confidence level of normal data and research conclusions show: where there is a significant relationship between reaction time and leg muscle power with side kick speed with a correlation r = 1,306 where r count (1,306)> r table (0,878). Where the large correlation coefficient when viewed from the level of relationship (interpretation) the value of r is having a very strong level of correlationwith the interpretation of the r value of 0.80 – 1,000.Key Words: Correlation, Reaction Time, Leg Muscle Power, Side Kick Speed

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to increase students learning achievement by implementation of ARIAS learning model on the chemical bonds subject in the class X MIA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The type of research is experimental research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 3 classes and the sample consisted of 2 classes randomly selected, namely the X MIA 5 class as the experimental class and the X MIA 6 class as the control class chosen randomly after homogeneity test. The experimental class is applied to the ARIAS learning model, while the control class does not apply the ARIAS learning model. Hypothesis testing uses the right-t-test, based on the results of data analysis obtained that t count> t table is 5.84> 1.67 meaning the implementation of ARIAS learning model can improve student learning achievement on the chemical bonds subject in the class X MIA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru with category increase in learning achievement high that is 0,83Key Words: ARIAS Learning Model, Learning Achievement, Chemical Bonds

Abstract

Abstract : This research is motivated by problems that occur in the field, namely: welding skills trainees are often absent and playing around during welding skills training in progress, participants must take turns using welding equipment in welding skills training because there is still a minimum amount provided, work safety is not considered this seen from the lack of work safety equipment used during practice, the ability of the participant’s welding skills is uneven, this can be seen from the quality of the goods done by each participants. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effectiveness of Welding Skills Training at PSBR, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru. The purpose of welding skills training in PSBR against teenagers drop out of school and are displaced to be able to live independently and avoid various social problems for themselves and their environment and can develop their potential owned so that it can carry out its social functions. This research is descriptive qualitative approach. This research method uses descriptive research with qualitative approach. The techniques of collecting data used are observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques aim to simplify the processed data so that it is easy to read and understood. The data analysis technique is through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the data analysis carried out can be seen that the welding skills training in Bina Remaja Social Institution in Rumbai District, Pekanbaru is less effective, the participants are training in welding skills are still not able to be independent, the facilities and infrastructure inside welding skills training is incomplete, training participants in welding skills are not on time at the training venue. The conclusions on welding skills training at the Adolescent Bina Social Institution Rumbai District Pekanbaru is implemented and runs smoothly but has not been effective based on measurement of effectiveness. Keywords: Effectiveness, Weld Skill Training

Abstract

Abstract: The Dutch government established a belasting system and got resistance from Minangkabau people. One of the areas that carried out the resistance was Manggopoh resident, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. The purpose of this research is the form of struggle of people of Manggopoh in opposing the belasting system. (a) to find out the cause of Manggopoh war in 1908. (b) to tell the chronology of Manggopoh war in 1908. (c) to find out the tactics used by Manggopoh people against the Dutch colonialists in Manggopoh war in 1908. (d) to find out the cause of the end of Manggopoh war in 1908. (e) to find out the consequences caused by the existence of Manggopoh war in 1908. This study uses a historical method consisting of four stages, namely: Heuristics, Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. The results of the study showed that the application of the 'belasting' system had caused Manggopoh people opposed the Dutch by carrying out resistance to the Netherlands.Key Words: Events, War, June 16, 1908, Manggopoh, Agam Regency

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the influence of the intensity of the game online against the learning achievements on economic subjects of cross-class XI IA interest in SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. The entire research population of students who attend a cross-economy interests as much as 196 students and as a sample research amounted to 45 students obtained from pre surve. This is done by sampling technique of purposive sampling quota. The data collected via the question form and documentation. The results showed: (1) the learning achievements of students still low average acquisition value 77.75 with KKM amounting to 80. (2) the frequency of different types of online games are most popular among students of non economic online game, online games, online games and competitions is playing a non online game economics with the highest percent of number 26 and the percentage of 57.8%, based on the highest online game classification i.e. mobile legend with the average number of 2.37. Economic online game for the number of tentinggi of 3 percent with a percentage amounting to 6.7, with the highest economic online game classification i.e., railroad tycoon II with an average number of 1.67. While online gaming competition number of the highest numbered 16 percent and the percentage of 35.5%, with the highest online game competitions classification i.e. mobile legend with the average number of 2.18. (3) research results based on multiple linear regression equation PB = 0.357 87.451 – GONE – 0.486 GOE – 0.287 KGO meaning non economic online game, online games, online game and competition have a negative significant influence towards the achievement learn. This occurs because students tend to have high intensity against online gaming and online gaming competition rather than economic online game.Key Words: Intensity game online, Student Achievements

Abstract

Abstract: A research was conducted to develop Multiple Intelligences-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) in the material Movement System at XI grade in Senior High School in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the University of Riau from October to December 2017. The research refers to the R & D research approach using the model ADDIE developed by Dick and Carry. The research was carried out until the development stage. The research subjects were KD 3.5 and KD.4.5 in the material Movement System at XI grade in Senior High School developed into 4 LKPDs for 4 meetings. Data was collected using a validation sheet filled by 5 validators, limited trials aimed at 5th semester students who had studied the Movement System as many as 15 students and limited trials aimed at high school students in XI grade as many as 20 people who had studied the Movement System material. Validation results from the aspects of content feasibility, design and pedagogic showed the four LKPDs obtained the average score of the first meeting LKPD 3.48, second meeting LKPD 3.47, third meeting LKPD 3.45, and the fourth meeting LKPD 3.57 with an overall score average of 3.46 in the category very valid. While the results of trial I on students from 4 LKPD in KD 3.5 movement system material were the first meeting LKPD 3.60, second meeting LKPD 3.60, third meeting LKPD 3.61, and fourth meeting LKPD 3.64 with overall score average was 3.61 with very good category. In the second trial of 2 LKPDs were the first meeting LKPD 3.56 and the second meeting LKPD 3.59 with an average overall score of 3.58 with a very good category. Based on the results of validation, trials and data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that Student Intelligence Worksheet (LKPD) based on Multiple Intelligences at XI grade in Senior High School in the material Movement System has been successfully developed and obtained by very good quality LKPD and has the potential to increase Multiple Intelligences in students and can be applied in classroom learning.Key Words: Development, Student Worksheet, Multiple Intelligences

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to improve student’s mathematics learning achievement through implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class VIII1 SMPN 1 Teluk Kuantan at the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The subject of this researchconsist of 32 students, there are 19 female students and 13 male students. The research instrument consists of learning materials (Sylabus, Lesson Plan, and Activity Sheets) and instruments for collecting data (Observation Sheets and Mathematical achievement test). Data analysis technique in this study are descriptive narrative analysis of qualitative data and descriptive statistics analysis ofquantitative data. Based on analysis of the observation sheet, the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can improve the learning process as indicated by the increase in the activity of teacher and students in each cycle. Data obtained from mathematical achievement test result the percentage of students which ispass Minimum Mastery Crieria (MMC) increase from 37,5% to 59,4% at the first test and to 75% at the second test. This research concludes that the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical achievement at class VIII1 SMPN 1 Teluk Kuantan in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year.Key Words : Mathematics Learning Achievement, Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research is to examine applying Novick learning model to improve students’ crtical thinking skills on the subject of reaction rates. The research method used the quasi-experimental with the Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA MA Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru in 2018/2019 academic year consisted of 3 classes, and 2 classes random samples was selected, XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIA 3 as control class. The research instrument are question of reaction rate based on indicators of critical thinking skills. Based of result hypothesis test using the t-test with α = 0.05 obtained tcount> ttable (2,95> 2,02). Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the Novick learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on the subject of the reaction rate in class XI MIA MA Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru.Keywords : Novick learning model, critical thinking skills, reaction rates.

Abstract

Abstract : This research is classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process and the result of learning mathematics by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. The subject of this research were the first semester students of class VII1 SMPN 9 Pekanbaru academic year 2018/2019 consisting of 20 male and 20 female students. Instruments on this reserach constisted of syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets; and instruments of data collection which is observation sheets and the test result sheets. The function of observation sheet is to obtain data from the learning process and analyzed in a narrative descriptive, while the function of results sheet of the mathematics learning tests is to obtain the results of the study and analyzed in statistics descriptive. From narrative descriptive analysis can be seen that there was improvement of learning process from before action in cycle I to cycle II. From statistic deskriptive analysis can be seen an increase in the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning. The learning result of the student experience an increase from the basic score the Cycle I and Cycle II. On the knowledge competence, from the basic score with percentage 52,5% experience improvement in Cycle I with percentage 80% and 95% in Cycle II. On the skills competence, the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning from Cycle I with percentage 85% improve to 95% in cycle II. Based on the results of this research can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning (DL) model can improve the learning achievement of the first semester students of class VII1 SMPN 9 Pekanbaru academic year 2018/2019.Key Words: mathematics learning achievement, discovery learning model, classroom action research
