Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental study is aimed at finding out if there is a significant effect of Know, Want to know, and Learned (KWL) teaching techniqueon the ability of the first year students of SMAN 12 Pekanbaru in comprehending report texts. The design of the study is one group pre-test-treatment-posttest design. There are 12 classes in the first year. As many as 36 students of class X IPS 3 in the first semester of academic year 2018/2019 are chosen as the sample by using cluster random sampling technique due to the particular class presents various characters of the whole classes like; academic achievement, the students’ learning seriousness toward English and the size of the classroom. The instrument of the test is in the form of multiple choice which consist of 25 items about report texts. To collect the needed data the treatments were conducted for six times. The students’ scores were analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 23.00 for windows. The results of the data analysis show that the mean score of the pre-test is 57.556 and the mean score of the post-test is 79.00. It means that the value of t-test is higher than t-table (11.055>1.95996) at 5% the significance level. Therefore, the alternative hyphotesis (H1) of this study is accepted. In other words, there is a significant effect of KWL teaching technique on the reading comprehensionability of the first year students of SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The implication of this finding is be beneficial for the teachers in teaching and learning English especially in teaching reading.Keywords: Effect, KWL Teaching Technique, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to determine the speed of the crescent kick of OKIDO pencak silat athletes. When making observations, researchers see athletes while competing and training when doing a sickle kick, their kicks are easily captured by their opponents. Because in pencak silat the speed of menedang is very much needed, because if the foot has been caught the opponent can easily drop and get good points. The population in this study was OKIDO pencak silat athletes with a group of 15 people but the researchers took it based on age and sex, so the researchers used 4 athletes to be sampled. The technique used in this study is purposive sampling. Based on the t-test analysis produces tcount of 4.9 and t table of 2.132 means tcount> t table. It can be concluded that H1 is accepted. And based on the normality test by using the liliefors test from the pretest data kicking the kick, it produces Lo max 0.25 smaller than Ltable 0.381. Furthermore, given the kicking kick training for 16 meetings resulting in Lo max 0.1587 smaller than Ltabel 0.381, it can be concluded that the data are normally distributed.Key Words: Influence Of Exercise, Kick, Crescent Kick Pecing

Abstract

Abstract : This research is an experimental study using the design of one group pretest posstest desaign. This study aims to determine the emotional and social abilities of children aged 5-6 years before and after applying outbound activities in Kindergarten Bintang Ceria Pekanbaru city, and to determine the magnitude of the influence of outbound activities to improve the emotional and social abilities of 5-6 year olds in Kindergarten Bintang Ceria Pekanbaru city. The sample used in this study was 20 people. The data collection technique used is observation. Data analysis techniques using the t-test using SPSS 16.0 program. The pretest results were obtained with the number 164 with an average of 8.2. Then experimenting with the use of outdoor visual media, then looking at the posttest results obtained with a value of 300 with an average of 15. It can be seen that after the treatment (emotional treatment) the emotional social ability has a significant increase that there are no children who are at BB or 0 criteria %, which is in the MB category as many as 4 people with a percentage of 20%, and children in the BSB category as many as 10 people with a percentage of 50%, children in the BSH category as many as 6 people with a percentage of 30%. Through a two-party test, it can be seen that there are significant differences before and after the outbound treatment of the social emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Bintang Ceria Pekanbaru City. This can be seen from the t count more days t table (6.825 ˃ 2.093). Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This has the meaning that there are differences in the development of the ability of significant differences before and after the outbound treatment of the emotional social abilities of children.Keywords: Outbound, Emotional Social Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to find out what are the procedures carried out in making developed game media "The three-dimensional ladder snake box and whether it is an expert standard or validator so that it is worthy of being used as a learning medium. This type of research uses the R & D (Research and Development) model using the Sugiyono development model. The subjects of this study were the tenth grade students of Pekanbaru Integrated Vocational High School, totaling 20 students. The data collection techniques is carried out by using questionnaires. The results showed five stages: a) Potential Problems b) Data Collection, c) Planning, d) Product Design, e) Product Validation. The level of feasibility of the Three Dimensional Box Ladder Snake Media Game As A Media Learning Japanese Vocabulary and Basic Sentences based on 3 validators consisting of material experts, media and teachers of the Pekanbaru Integrated Vocational High School. The Three Dimensional Box Ladder Snake Game Media As A Media For Vocabulary Learning and Basic Japanese Language Sentences is said to be feasible, based on the results of the validation by material experts is in average score of 77.7% with a fairly decent category, media experts is an average score of 96.8% in the category of very decent, and teachers of Pekanbaru Integrated Vocational High School is 96.8% with a very decent category. After getting the validation results, the product revision is conducted according to the suggestions and input from the validator so that the product becomes better and is suitable to use in Japanese vocabulary learning.Key Words : Three Dimensional Box Ladder Snake

Abstract

Abstract: Schools as formal education institutions are a means of achieving educational goals through the teaching and learning process. This research was conducted to find out the analysis of facilities infrastructure and motivation learn of natural science in class VIII junior high school of Annur Pekanbaru from April to November 2018. This study was conducted with a sample of eighth grade students totaling 17 students in the 2017/2018 school year using total sampling techniques. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation sheets. Data obtained by distributing questionnaires and direct observation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. Analysis of infrastructure in Annur Pekanbaru Middle School obtained an average 68,45% percentage including quite good categories. Analysis of the learning motivation of Grade VIII students at Annur Pekanbaru Middle School was obtained by the average 63,76% percentage including enough categories. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that with facilities and good learning motivastion it will create a better learning process.Key words: analysis, motivation to learn, facilities and infrastructure

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental study is aimed at finding out if there is a significant effect of role play technique on the speaking ability of the third year students of SMPN 14 Pekanbaru. The design of the study is one group pre-test-treatment-posttest design. There are 8 classes in the third year. As many as 37 students of class IX 3 in the first semester of academic year 2018/2019 are chosen as the sample by using cluster random sampling technique due to the particular class presents various characters of the whole classes like; academic achievement, the students’ learning seriousness toward English and the size of the classroom. The instrument of the test is in the form of acting from script. To collect the needed data the treatments using role play technique were conducted for six times. The students’ scores were analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 23.00 for windows. The results of the data analysis show that the mean score of the pre-test is 51.24 and the mean score of the post-test is 60.42. It means that the value of t-test is higher than t-table (10.767>2.028) at 5% the significance level. Therefore, the alternative hyphotesis (H1) of this study is accepted. In other words, there is a significant effect of Role Play technique on the speaking ability of the third year students of SMPN 14 Pekanbaru. The implication of this finding is beneficial for the teachers in teaching and learning English especially in teaching speaking.Keywords: Effect, Role Play, Ability, Speaking.

Abstract

Abstract : Based on the author's observations at the time of carrying out observation at the club of rumbai boxing camp from the results of the above research, there are still some Boxing athletes who have physical conditions that fall into the category, the less and less. One of the factors that affect the athlete's physical condition factors i.e. Boxing workout. Based on the research that has been carried out on the athlete's physical Condition Review Prince and Princess ClubRumbai Boxing Camp Soweto, then the description data research results consists of seven types of shapes of test execution, namely: ExpandingDynamometer Test, Test, test Reach An Sit Two Hand Medicine Ball Put, Ran back and forth, Bass Test Modification. Ran 30 meters and tests Multi Fitness Test Endurance test data derived from test results multistage fitness test which was followed by a sample of as many as 5 people on Athletes Prince and Princess Tassel Club Boxing Camp Soweto, to the average value of multistage fitness test test adalah24 2, peak = 29.7, the lowest value = 20.4, median = 23.5, standard deviation = 4.10. Abstract

Abstract: The Mangongkal Holi ceremony is a traditional ceremony carried out from generation to generation by the Toba Batak tribe as a form of respect for the ancestors by digging bones and moving them to a new grave called the monument. The Mangongkal Holi ceremony is always accompanied by a traditional Toba Batak musical instrument, Gondang which plays an important role in the procession of this traditional ceremony. The purpose of this study were 1) To find out the origin of Gondang, 2) To find out the benefits of Gondang for the people of Janji Natogu Village, Pahae Julu Subdistrict, North Tapanuli Regency, 3) To find out the procession form of Gondang when walking the traditional ceremonial process Mangongkal Holi in Janji Natogu Village Pahae Julu Subdistrict, North Tapanuli Regency, 4) To find out the role of Gondang in the traditional ceremony Mangongkal Holi, 5) To find out the efforts made by the community of Janji Natogu Village, Pahae Julu District, North Tapanuli Regency in preserving Gondang musical instruments. Researchers used qualitative research methods with descriptive studies. The results of this study indicate that Gondang's role is very important in the Mangongkal Holi ceremony as the main tool to achieve the relationship between humans and the Creator called Debata Mulajadi Na Bolon in the Toba Batak tribe and as a means of accompanying tor-tor which is till preserved by the community Janji Natogu Village, Pahae Julu District, North Tapanuli Regency.Keywords: Role, Gondang, Ceremony, Mangongkal Holi, Janji Natogu

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research is aimed at finding out whether or not there is any effect of using pictures in teaching vocabulary on the ability of the second year students of Islamic high school (MA) Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. This research used one group pre-test and post-test design. In conducting this research, a single group from two classes combined from the second grade was selected to be a sample by using Total Sampling. There are 32 students as the sample. The results of this study shows that the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test (74.45 > 63.28). After analyzing the data, the writer found that t-test score was -2.924 while t-table score in significance level 5% df = 31 was 2.040. Since the value of the t-test was higher than the t-table, it can be concluded that alternative hypothesis was accepted. It means that “there is a significant effect of using pictures in teaching vocabulary on the ability of the second year students of Islamic high school (MA) Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. Based on the research findings, writer suggested to use pictures because it can help the students improve their vocabulary ability.Key Words: Effect, Using Pictures, Vocabulary Ability

Abstract

Abstract: The Purpose of This Research Is To Know The Effect Of Push Up Exercises Against Endurance of the Strength of Arm Muscles and Shoulder of Putra Siak Fencing Club's Junior Fencing Athletes. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was the effect of Push Up Exercises on Endurance of the Strength of the Arm Muscles and the Shoulder of the Men's Junior Fencing Athlete Siak Fencing club.The data obtained as a result of the study are quantity data through tests before and after giving a test treatment for push up exercises. Data taken through tests and measurements of 6 Junior Boys Fencing athletes from Siak Fencing club. The variables in this study are push up exercises which are represented by X as independent variables, while strength durability is represented by Y as the dependent variable. Based on observations that researchers conducted with the trainers in club fencing, researchers looked and observed when athletes exercising or competing athletes were not maximally using the arm muscles resulting in weak punctures being inaccurate and easily deflected by opponents, opposition and movements easy to read by opponents. In the field of strength fencing, which is good according to Albertus Fenanlampir and Muhammad Muhyi Faruq (2014: 224) are 29 to 37 and 38 and above are very good categories. So the researchers gave a push-up test to find out the durability of the junior men's fencing athletes' club fencing power.Keywords: Push Up, Endurance of Arm and Shoulder Muscle Strength
