Abstract

Abstract: This study is titled Koba Oral Literature in Pekoba (Cik Ani) Expression in the of Pasir Pengaraian Rokan Hulu District. The background of this research is that nowadays koba as an intangible cultural heritage is rarely performed again in the community and pekoba (koba Craftsman) has diminished its existence. The purpose of this study is to describe the expression of authors and authorship of pekoba (Cik Ani) in koba oral literature in Rokan Hulu District. This research is descriptive qualitative research that describes and describes the results of the research conducted. Based on the research, classified authors and authorship of Pekoba (Cik Ani) consisting of 8 aspects, 1) family background, 2) educational background, 3) profession, 4) role and social relations, 5) character, 6) creative process, 7) fellow profession, and 8) regeneration.Key Words: Oral literature, koba, author, authorship, pekoba

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of salary and incentives on employee performance at the Port of Wira Indah Pekanbaru Riau. The population in this study were all employees in Wira Indah Port, amounting to 52 people. Samples were obtained using 37 random sampling methods. The analysis data method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study it is known that employee performance is not good. Bad works is also affected by low salary. Giving salary to employees is categorized as not good, and employee incentives given are considered good. Furthermore, from the results of data analysis, it was found that salary contributions and incentives for employees and workers were 19,3%. This means that to improve the performance of the employees of the company must increase the provision of salaries and incentives that are good or conducive. The higher the salary and incentives, the better the performance. the contrary if the salary and incentives are low then the performance will also be low.Keywords: Salary, Incentives and Employee Performance

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this reasearch is that students are not directly involved and are not active in the learning process so students are not able to achieve maximum learning outcomes, so that it is improved by the Index Card Match learning strategy. This research aims to know the improvement of IPA learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 003 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam between before (pretest) and after (posttest) applying Index Card Match learning strategies. The research method used is an experiment with the research design of one group pretest-posttest. Science learning outcomes data were collected by the test technique in the form of objective tests. The results showed that there was an increase in science learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 003 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam which were significant between the results before (pretest) and the results after (posttest) applying the Index Card Match learning strategy. This can be seen from the average initial test of 48.34 to 73.15 in the final test with an average increase of 0.50 including a moderate interpretation. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the Index Card Match learning strategy has an effect on the science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD 003 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam.Key Words: Index Card Match learning strategy, science learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low moral behavior of children. Moral behavior has an important role in determining a person's behavior. Good moral behavior will have a positive influence on children's interpersonal intelligence. This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal intelligence with the moral behavior of children aged 5-6 years at Raudhatul Athfal Subdistrict inuman Kuantan Singingi District. This research is a quantitative research with a type of correlation research. Sampling technique used in this study is saturated samples with a sample of 69 people. Data collection techniques used are observation sheets. Data analysis technique uses Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. Based on the results of the hypothesis test is known from the correlation coefficient value of rxy = 0.695 greater than rtable = 0.236 (0.695> 0.236) with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. Thus it can be concluded that there is a relationship between interpersonal intelligence and moral behavior. The level of the relationship is included in the strong category with the determinant coefficient value produced is equal to 48.3%, it can be seen that interpersonal intelligence contributes 48.3% to moral behavior.Keywords: Moral Behavior, Interpersonal Intelligence

Abstract

Abstract : Grice‟s Cooperative Principle is an assumed basic concept in pragmatics, yet its interpretation is often problematic. The use of the word „cooperative‟ seems to lead to a confusion between Grice‟s technical notion and the general meaning associated with the lexeme cooperation, leading to what we term „cooperation drift‟. We argue that these misinterpretations stem, in part, from the relocation of the Cooperative Principle from philosophy to linguistics. In order to access a meaning that is more representative of Grice‟s view, it is necessary to see the writings on the Cooperative Principle and Conversasional Implicatures in the context of George Yule‟s work as a whole. A close study of Grice‟s writings shows the concept of cooperation to be peripheral to his thought: the recurring issues are the distinction between sentence-meaning and speaker-meaning, the idea of systematicity in language, and the centrality of rationality to human action. The research discussed about Cooperative Principle‟s offense in kaiwa (conversation) in Reading Tutor Homepage. From 20 data, there are 5 offense of maxim of quantity, 7 data by maxim of quality, 2 data by maxim of relevance, and 6 data by maxim of manner.Keywords : Cooperative Principle, Meaning or Purpose, Conversasional Implicatures

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental study was conducted by using One-Group Pretest-Posttest design to find out whether or not there is a significant effect of ‘Hot Potato Strategy’ on the second year students’ ability in reading comprehension at SMPN 18 Pekanbaru. The sample of the research was 35 students of class VIII.6 and obtained by using cluster random sampling technique. 40 multiple choices of recount text was the instrument of the test. The students’ scores were analyzed by using Microsoft Excel 2007 and SPSS 23.0 (Statistical Product and Service Solution) for windows. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The results showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test (74.14>63.93). Then, it also showed that t-test was higher than t-table (10.048>2.03) at significance level of 5%. Therefore, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of ‘Hot Potato Strategy’ on the second year students’ ability in reading comprehension at SMPN 18 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Effect, Hot Potato Strategy, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract : This research aimed to discover the effect of Two Stay-Two Stray (TSTS) Method on the speaking ability of the first year students of SMK Telkom Pekanbaru academic year 2018/2019. The selected sample was X TKJ-2 students which consisted of 34 students. The sample was selected by using cluster random sampling technique. This research was pre-experimental and the data were collected by means of pre-test and post-test design in the form of speaking test which focused on describing objects. The data were analyzed using five components of speaking: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The results showed that the score of the pretest was 60.47, the post-test was 72.98 while the improvement from both scores was 12.51. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of TSTS Method on the speaking ability of the first year students of SMK Telkom Pekanbaru. In other words, the teaching of speaking by through Two Stay-Two Stray Method, as one of the alternative speaking activities, has an effect on the students’ speaking ability.Keywords: Two Stay-Two Stray Method, Speaking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research was background by the low level of self-confidence of Kindergarten Jake Village Kuantan Tengah District Kuantan Singingi Regency that was related to the needs of child affiliation. This study aims to determine the relationship between the affiliate needs of children and the confidence of kindergarten children in Jake Village, Central Kuantan District, Kantan Singingi Regency. The type of this research is correlation with quantitative methods. Data collection techniques used are observation. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling. The population was 112 children. Based on the results of calculations using the Taro Yamane formula, the sample size determined in this study was 53 children. The data analysis technique uses a correlation test from the Pearson product moment with the IBM SPSS program. Based on the results of hypothesis testing obtained there is a positive and significant relationship between the affiliate needs of children with children's confidence in Kindergarten Jake Village Kuantan Tengah District Kuantan Singingi Regency. This can be seen from the value of the correlation coefficient of 0.517 which is in the range of 0.40 - 0.599 with the medium category. This means that there is a moderate relationship between the need for affiliation and self-confidenceKeywords: Affiliate Needs, Confidence

Abstract

Abstract: From the results of the observetion in the field, the Bakti Raya FC Pekanbaru Football Team still lacks when ball dribbling is affected because of the frequent loss of the ball when dribbling the ball, and when dribbling the position of the foot and ball is too far away, and the player is less agile when dribbling the ball. One effort to improve the agility of dribbling correctly is an effective and efficient exercise. Therefore this researcher aims to measure the agility of dribbling on Bakti Raya players F.C because this football team must be emphasized on the basic techniques of dribbling. This research is an experimental research. This research was carried out by the Bakti Raya Football Team FC Pekanbaru. Data were obtained and collected through initial tests and final tests before and after conducting drill variation exercises. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. From the results of data analysis shows that there is a significant influence between drill variation training methods on agility to dribble the players of the Bakti Raya FC Pekanbaru team. Based on the results of statistical analysis of the test t value of Tcount 11.2> T table 1.792. at a significant level of 0.05. Means Thitung> Ttabel so that it can be concluded that There is a Significant Effect of Drill Variation Exercises Herding the Ball (X) Against Agility (Y) Herding Bakti Raya Player Ball FC Pekanbaru.Keywords: Dribble, Agility, Drill Variation

Abstract

Abstract: This research is entitled the ability to write exposition text of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan Kota. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of the ability to write exposition text of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan Kota, and to describe the differences in the ability to write exposition text of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan Kota in each sample group class. The data of this research are the results of the exposition writing ability test of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan Kota which is divided into 2 classes and consists of 45 populations with a sample of 40 students. The results of the study after testing using the one-sample chi square test, the ability to write exposition text is the same as the comparative value of 69. The ability to write exposition text of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan Kota is moderate. Then, testing was done using an Mann Whitney test, to determine the differences in the ability to write exposition text of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan Kota between sample groups. The result is that there is no difference in the ability to write exposition text between classes of sample groups.Keywords: abilities, exposition text, students
