Abstract

Abstract:This research was aimed to find out how the use of Numbered HeadsTogether Strategy (NHT) Numbered Heads Together Strategy (NHT) in seven studiescan improve/effect on the students’ reading comprehension. This research was libraryresearch by scollecting seven journalson the use of NHT strategy for junior high schoolstudents in comprehending narrative texts as the sources of data. The data wereanalyzed by implementing Descriptive Analysis and Content Analysis. The result of dataanalysis showed that implementing NHT could improve students’ readingcomprehension. It was as shown in the finding of this study in which the use of NHT incomprehending narrative texts for Junior High School students was constructive interms of the stages and inspiring in terms of the students’ ability in comprehendingnarrative texts. Based on the result of this study, it is expected that it can be used asbasic information or reference to conduct other researches because Numbered HeadsTogether provides more opportunities for students to help each other in mastering thematerial and to actively engage them in solving the problems. It is also suggested forfurther researchers to apply Numbered Heads Together for other skills and other kindgenres of texts.Key Words: Numbered Heads Together, Reading Comprehension,Narrative Text, Analysis

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to find out how is the students’ ability in comprehending English reading texts at SMAN 1 XIII Koto Kampar. The design of the research was one class for the try-out test and one class for the real test. The population was the eleventh-grade students of academic 2020/2021. The sample was 25 students of class XI MIPA 2 which were chosen by using a lottery. The data were collected by giving a test with 50 multiple-choice questions. Question number 1-25 deals with descriptive text, and 26-50 was recount text. The result of the data shows that the mean score of the students' ability in comprehending English reading texts is 55.52 which means categorized into the mediocre level. The mean score of the students' ability in comprehending descriptive text is 56.8 and categorized into the mediocre level, the difficult aspect for students in comprehending descriptive text is in identifying reference with the mean score is 53.32 that categorized into mediocre level and the easiest aspect is in finding main idea with the mean score is 65.32 and categorized into good level. In recount text, the researcher found out that the mean score is 54.24 which categorized into mediocre level, the difficult aspect for students in comprehending recount text is in finding social function with the mean score is 44 and categorized into mediocre level. Otherwise, the easiest aspect is in identifying inference with the mean score is 61.32 and categorized into good level.Key Words: Students’ Ability, Reading Comprehension, Descriptive Text, Recount Text

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the observation and information gained from some teachers, that the students' shot put skills at SMA IT Al-Ittihad were still low. The problem of the low skills to do the shot put is including unhealty physical conditions because the shot put sport is a sport that requires physical conditions. The objective of this study was to determine the correlation between the explosive power of the arm and shoulder muscles and the flexibility of the waist with the shot put results at the tenth grade students of SMA IT-Al-Ittihad. The population of this study were the male students at the tenth grade of SMA IT Al-Ittihad contained 20 people. Because the total population was less than 100 people, the entire population was sampled (total sampling) as many as 20 people. The instruments of this study were two hand medicines: ball put used to determine the explosive power of the arm and shoulder muscles, and sit and reach used to determine the flexibility of the waist and the shot put results. The data obtained were analyzed using the correlation. Based on the results of study and data processing using statistical research procedures, it can be concluded that the relationship between variable X and variable Y was obtained rcount = 0.754> rtable = 0.456, so there was a relationship between variable X and variable Y. Thus, Ha was accepted. The conclusion of the hypothesis was accepted at the level α = 0.05, in other words, there was a significant relationship between the explosive power of the arm and shoulder muscles and the flexibility of the waist at the tenth grade students of SMA IT Al-Ittihad.Key Words: The Explosive Power of the Arm and Shoulder Muscles, The Flexibility of the Waist Muscles, The Shot Put Results

Abstract

Abstract: The learning tools developed are physics learning tools in the form of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKPD) and Material Mastery Test based on Gasing Method. The purpose of this study was to produce Learning Tools on valid Harmonic Vibration materials. This research is expected to be a reference in making reference in making a valid learning device, especially in harmonious vibration material. This type of research is Research and Development (R &D) using 4D Models. This research is only conducted until the development stage. The research instrument used is the Learning Device Instrument validation assessment sheet used by the validator to assess the learning device. Data analysis in this study using descriptive analysis, by calculating the validation score of each indicator of the learning device. The results showed that The Gasing Method-Based Learning Tool was declared valid with an average validation of 3.06 with a high category (T), so that the learning device is declared worthy of use in learning for the mastery of the material of harmonious vibration of class X SMA.Key Words: Learning Tools, Gasing Method, Harmonious Vibration.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship of students' perceptions of mathematics with learning outcomes in class V SD Negeri 194 Pekanbaru. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a positive and significant relationship between students' perceptions of mathematics lessons with mathematics learning outcomes in class V SD Negeri 194 Pekanbaru. This type of research used in this research is quantitative research with correlational research methods. This research was conducted in 194 Pekanbaru Elementary School with a population of 132 people and a sample of 132 people. This population is taken from 3 classes namely, class VA, VB, and VC. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale. Hypothesis testing using the Product Moment correlation test was performed with processed data SPSS version 23. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between students' perceptions of mathematics and student learning outcomes in class V of SD Negeri 194 Pekanbaru. Evidenced by the results of data analysis, the relationship between students 'perceptions of mathematics with students' mathematics learning outcomes obtained rcount of 0.488 which shows that the relationship is in the medium category.Key Words: Student Perception, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The learning device developed are learning device based on the Simas Eric model to enhance student cognitive study result on harmonic vibrations material class X SMA/MA, consisting of a RPP, LKPD, and Cognitive Study Result Test. The purpose of this research was to produce a learning device valid based on Simas Eric model on harmonic vibrations material. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model design. The research instrument used was the RPP validation assessment sheets, LKPD and Cognitive Study Result Test which were used by the validator to assess learning device. The data was collected by providing learning device to the validator to be validated using RPP validation sheets, LKPD and Cognitive Study Result Test. Data analysis in this research using descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each indicator of the learning device. Based on the result of the validity data analysis, the average value of the validity of the lesson plan for the first meeting was 3,49 with a high category, lesson plan for the second meeting was 3,38 with a high category, and lesson plan for the third meeting was 3,39 with a high category. The average validity of LKPD 1 was 3,51 with a very high category, LKPD 2 was 3,54 with a very high category, and LKPD 3 was 3,47 with a high category. The average validity of Cognitive Study Result Test was 3,34 with a high category, so that the overall average learning device was 3,47 with a high category. Thus the learning device based on Simas Eric model is declared valid and suitable for use on harmonic vibrations material class X SMA/MA.Key Words: Physics Learning Device, Simas Eric Model, CognitiveSstudy Result,Harmonic Vibrations

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the difficulties of parents in helping and guiding children in learning at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The formulation of the problem in this study is how are parents' perceptions of online learning in schools in the coastal Singkep District, Lingga Regency? The research objective was to find out how parents' perceptions of online learning in schools in Singkep Pesisir District, Lingga Regency. The benefit of the research results is that it becomes a source of learning for all parties, especially parents in responding to online learning that children undergo while at home. This research method is descriptive quantitative, the data collection instrument used in this study is a questionnaire consisting of 5 indicators with 24 questions. The population in this study were all parents of students in schools in the Singkep Pesisir District, Lingga Regency. The sample in this study was taken using a proportional sampling technique. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the overall data regarding parents' perceptions of online learning in schools throughout the Singkep Pesisir District, Lingga Regency is in the "Agree" category. Strongly Agree amounts to 13.42% plus the Agree results with the amount of 66.35%. that is, the sum is 79.77% with the presence in the range 68.01% - 84.00%. Thus, Parents' Perception of Online Learning in Schools in Singkep Pesisir District, Lingga Regency is "Good". Key Words: Perception, Parents, Online Learning.

Abstract: The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the work ethic of the tutor for the package C equality education program at the Insan Cendekia Community Learning Center (PKBM) Sialang Munggu Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City? This study aims to determine how good the work ethic of the tutor for the package C equivalence education program at the Insan Cendekia Community Learning Center (PKBM) Sialang Munggu Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. This study has 6 indicators (1) Likes to work hard, (2) Punctual, (3) Responsible, (4) Confidence, (5) Honest attitude and (6) Likes to work together. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Qualitative descriptive research is used to examine the condition of natural objects. By using a qualitative approach, the purpose of this study is to find out and analyze how well the work ethic of tutors at the Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) is located on Jl. Cipta Karya, Kelurahan Sialang Munggu, Kecamatan Tampan, Kota Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the work ethic of the Tutor of the Package C Equality Education Program at the Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Insan Cendekia, Sialang Munggu Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City is classified as very good, this can be seen from the tutors at PKBM. from the activities of tutors who can still manage time even though they work in two different places, tutors at PKBM Insan Cendekia are always on time in carrying out their work, tutors at PKBM Insan Cendekia are quite honest and admit that their competence is a little lacking but still try to develop their competencies and tutors those in PKBM Insan Cendekia are a little lacking in terms of cooperation. However, this is not due to an attitude of individualism, but because most of the tasks or work carried out are more independent.Key Words: Work Ethic, Tutor, Equality Package C, PKBM

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by problems that arise in the principle of learning student activeness as seen from individual assignments and group assignments. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the teacher's perception of the principle of active learning of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 37 Pekanbaru. The research objective was to determine how the implementation of the principles of learning activeness of Class VII students at SMP Negeri 37 Pekanbaru. The benefits of research results for teachers are to provide an overview of teachers 'perceptions of the principles of learning activeness of class VII students at SMP Negeri 37 Pekanbaru and become a reference for how active grade VII students are according to teachers' perceptions of the learning principles of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 37 Pekanbaru. This research method is a descriptive quantitative method of data collection instruments used in this study, namely a questionnaire consisting of 25 questions with 2 indicators. The population in this study were class VII teachers of SMP Negeri 37 Pekanbaru. The sample in this study was taken using a saturated sample technique. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the overall data regarding teachers' perceptions of the principles of learning activeness of class VII students at SMP Negeri 37 Pekanbaru are in the "Good" category. "Very Good" amounted to 17.6% plus the calculation results of respondents who answered "Good" with a total of 54%, namely the sum of 71.6%, where this range is in the "Good" category with an existence in the range of 50.01% - 75%. It can be concluded that the Teacher's Perception of the Principles of Learning Activity in Class VII Junior High School 37 Pekanbaru is at the "Good" level.Key Words: Perception, Teacher, Learning Principles of Activeness

Abstract

The SETS-Based Module is a teaching material that is systematically arranged in language that is easily understood by students according to their level of understanding and age so that it can be used for independent study. This module is structured using a SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) approach which is integrated with each other. This SETS-based module consists of material descriptions, interesting experiments, questions and discussions, practice questions and articles containing technological literacy. The purpose of this research is to produce teaching materials in the form of SETS-based modules that are valid and suitable for use in physics learning in class XI SMA on Sound and Light Waves in an effort to improve students' technological literacy. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4D development model. The research instrument used in this study was a module validation sheet. Quantitative and qualitative data were obtained from the results of the validator's assessment. The results showed that the SETS-based module development on sound and light waves was valid with a score of 3.41. Thus the SETS-based module on Class XI Sound and Light Waves in an effort to improve technological literacy can be declared valid and worthy of testing in physics learning.Keywords: Module Development, SETS, Sound and Light Waves, Technology Literacy
