Abstract

Abstract: This quantitative descriptive study aims to find out the students' ability in writing recount text. The sample of this study was 27 students of class VIII 1 MTs Hubbulwathan Duri. This research used cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used written test in which students wrote their own recount text according to a theme that has been determined by the writer. In analyzing the data, it had done by calculating the scores of students individually and looking for the average scores. As for the results obtained from this study, the ability of eighth graders in writing recount text is in the good category with an average of 80.36. The results for each aspect are very good for aspects of content (89.66), organization (91.33), vocabulary (86.66), while good for aspects of grammar (83.66) and mechanics (79.33). Based on these results, it is suggested for students to be able to practice writing skills by frequently reading and writing journals. As for the teacher, it is being able to make recount text writing lessons more fun so that students do not get bored in writing. For the researchers, It is recommended that researchers make this research a reference and can focus more on every aspect of writing, especially in the mechanics aspect.Key words: Writing, Recount Text, Ability, Quantitative

Abstract

Abstract: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Indonesian government has shifted face-to-face teaching and learning activities to online learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online learning and the obstacles faced by students during online learning at the Economic Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau. This study uses quantitative methods with descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. The subjects of this study were students of class 2017,2018,2019 who actively participated in online learning with a sample of 70 people. Quantitative data collected through online questionnaires through the google form application media. The results of data analysis in this study are where online learning can be said to be effective if it is in accordance with indicators of learning success such as learning mastery, learning activities, the ability of educators to manage learning, facilities and infrastructure that support learning. Based on the results of this study, the conclusion of this study is that the effectiveness of online learning carried out during the Covid 19 pandemic which in terms of various indicators has been running very effectively with a percentage of 75.45%. Thus, the analysis of the effectiveness of online learning carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic has been very effective. As for the obstacles faced by students, students can overcome the obstacles well.Keywords: Effectiveness, Online Learning, Indicators, Learning Constraints.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of institutional ownership on agency costs in manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industrial sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (2015-2019 period). The population of this study is all manufacturing companies that have data on institutional ownership and agency costs listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The Companies are limited by using specific criteria or types that can provide the required information, which is 9 companies. This study uses secondary data derived from the financial statements of each company as well as from other sources such as supporting records in the company and supporting websites through www.idx.co.id or the website of each company regarding reports company finances. The analytical technique used in this research is simple linear regression with the help of the statistical software package for social science (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that if using a significant value of 5%, institutional ownership has no significant effect on agency costs. this is evidanced by the result of the t test which shows that t_count is 1.206 and t_table is 2.01669. the higher the institutional ownership, the lower the agency costs.Key Word: Institutional Ownership, Agency Cost.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is entitled “A Study on the Ability of the Second Year Students of MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru in Writing Descriptive Texts. This study concerns with five aspects of writing. They are grammar, vocabulary, mechanic, organization, and fluency. The aim of this study is to find out the ability level of the second-year students of MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru in writing descriptive texts. The data collecting technique is using a writing test. The students’ writing results are checked and scored by the expert. The research findings are as follows: first, the ability of the second-year students in writing descriptive texts is in good level with the average score of 78.81. Second, the students’ average score in terms of Organization is 17.12, and in terms of Contents is 16.21, in terms of Mechanic is 16.27, in terms of Vocabulary is 15.30, and in terms of Grammar is 13.90. based on these findings, it is found that grammar is the most difficult problem faced by the students in writing descriptive texts. All in all, findings show that the the second-year students of MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru have relatively good level in writing descriptive texts. However, they need to practice more in writing a text for the betterment of the study.Key Words: Ability, Descriptive Texts, Writing,

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between physical activity and the level of physical fitness for class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Bengkalis. This type of research is a correlation research, which wants to see the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. Based on the results of the research and discussion that the author has described, it can be concluded from the results of data analysis that it can be seen that the data from filling out the PAQ-questionnaire A by class X IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkalis for the academic year 2020/2021, from 30 students (100%) there were 0 students (0%) in the very high category, 0 students (0%) in the high category, 10 students (33 ,33%) in the medium category, 20 students (66.66%) in the low category and 0 students (0%) in the very low category. And the data on the results of the physical fitness of class X IPS 3 students at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkalis for the Academic Year 2020/2021, (100%) there are 30 students (16.66%) in the very good category, 6 students (20%) in the good category, 14 students (46.66%) in the moderate category, 4 students (13.33%) in the poor category and 1 student (3.33%) in the very poor category. The results of the test study can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between physical activity and the level of physical fitness for class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Bengkalis for the academic year 2020/2021. With rx.y = 0.433 > r table : 0.374 it means that there is a significant relationship between physical activity and physical fitness. It can be concluded that the higher the physical activity carried out by Class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Bengkalis, the higher the level of physical fitness. Physical fitness obtained from regular physical activity is expected to be able to make school-age children able to carry out daily tasks without experiencing fatigue, so that these students can achieve optimal performance at school and outside of school.Key Words: Physical Activity, Physical Freshness

Abstract

Abstract: The problems observed was that the media did not attract children`s attention, the children had difficulty in recognizing number concepts such as connecting, adding up, comparing, and jumping around in recognizing numbers. This study uses the type of research and development (RnD) in children aged 5-6 years. The research instrument is in the form of a validation sheet with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis in this research is using descriptive validity criteria. The results of this study are that: Pascal triangle media has been developed for children aged 5-6 years by conducting two limited trials where the first limited trial was carried out before the revision of the media with the results of observations getting a score of 3 developing as expected (BSH), and the second limited trial with the results observation gets a score of 3 develops as expected. The results of the validation of the appropriate category with the average score of the validation of the first and second media experts I and II are 3,2 with a percentage of 79% and the results of the validation of the first and second media experts I andII are getting a decent category with an average score of 3,0 with a percentage of 79%. The overall results of the expert validation of educators got a score of 3,7 with a percentage of 93% getting a very decent category and validation of educator media got a score 3,5 with a percentage 89% getting a very decent category. Value observed instrument getting score of 3,0 with score 81% growing as expected (BSH).Key Words: Pascal`s Triangle, Numeracy skills, Children Aged 5-6 years

Abstract

Abstract: Online learning is an educational innovation that involves elements of information technology in learning with a set of teaching methods where there are teaching activities that are carried out separately from learning activities. Japanese uses several letters in its writing, one of them is kanji. Kanji are letters that consist of elements of from, sound and meaning. From this it can be understood that kanji is an important aspect and effects the reading ability of Japanese learners themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of online learning on the result of kanji learning by using a descriptive quatitative approach. Data collection in this study used a written test and a questionnaire conducted on 33 respondents. From the results of this study obtained a moderate correlation.Key Word: Kanji, Online Learning, The Effect

Abstract

Abstract This research set on teachers’ social competence and social care character building in students of SMAN Binsus Dumai. The formulated research problem mentioned “how is the effect of teachers’ social competence on social care character building in students of SMAN Binsus Dumai”. This research sought to find out the effect of teachers’ social competence on social care character building in students of SMAN Binsus Dumai. The practical benefit for researchers is to increase knowledge and understanding of the world of education, leading to more enthusiastic participation at schools. The research population included eleventh grade students, totaling 200 students. The research samples were 50 students selected through the Proportional Random Sampling. Research data were collected by means of questionnaires, observations, interviews, and document studies. The data were then analyzed using a simple linear regression formula, assisted by SPSS version 16 application. The proposed hypothesis stated that there is an effect of teachers’ social competence and social care character building in students of SMAN Binsus Dumai. The results revealed that there is a significant effect of teachers’ social competence on social care character building in students of SMAN Binsus Dumai by 36.6%.Keywords: Effect, Teachers’ Social Competence, Students’ Social Care Character

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the problem, it was determined that their smashing ability was not good, the direction of the rooster was flat and did not dive, the shot was returned easily, the ball was not tight, the rooster often went out of the field or did not aim for the target sometimes there was still something stuck in the net this would be due to wrist flexibility and arm-shoulder muscle strength. The aim of this research was to determine wrist flexibility and arm-shoulder muscle strength with great accuracy results. The population in this research were all athletes of PB badminton Fortuna Pasir Pengaraian, a total of 8 subjects. This research uses a total sampling technique. The instruments in this research are test goniometer, two-handed exercise ball, and smash accuracy. Based on the analysis of the normality test, X1 data produces LoMax of 0.282 and Ltable of 0.285 and X2 data produces LoMaks of 0.276 and Ltable of 0.285, while the Y variable produces LoMax of 0.283 and Ltable of 0.285. This means that LoMax < Ltable , then the data is normally distributed. Thus, based on the hypothesis test using the product moment test on variables X1, X2 on variable Y, namely data 0.993 > 0.754 Rcount > Rtable, there is a significant relationship between wrist flexibility and shoulder arm muscle strength with smash accuracy results for PB Fortuna Pasir Pengaraïan.Key Words: Wrist Flexibility, Arm-Shoulder Muscle Strength, Smash Accuracy

Abstract

Abstract: The use of learning media in teaching and learning activities is a way of supporting learning activities. The use of learning media can serve as a tool to accelerate the process of understanding in teaching and learning activities in the classroom. With the existence of attractive learning media with a three-dimensional appearance like the original, it can make students more enthusiastic and also become more interested in learning to use these learning media. The average validation obtained from material experts is 87.33% with a very feasible category and 93.81% for media experts with the conclusion that it is feasible to be tested without improvement. And the average percentage for the teacher's response to the product that has been made is 87.5% in the very good category and the average percentage of the student's response is 98.5% in the very good category.Key Words : Pop-up Book Learning Media, Hindu-Buddhist Kingdom
