Abstract

The Training Center is a technical operation unit responsible for organizing both locally  and internationally certified training programs at Institute Informatics and Business (IIB) Darmajaya. Locally certified training is home-powered and its certificate is issued by the Training Center. Internationally certified training, on the other hand, involves a collaboration with a certification services body and the certificate is issued by reputable organizations or companies such as Microsoft, Foresec, Adobe, etc. IIB Darmajaya’s Training Center currently has 67 instructors and experts and offers 32 training programs, either local or international. However, it experiences difficulty in selecting instructors for locally certified training programs since the lecturers who regularly act as instructors only hold international certification. For locally certified training, the instructors are directly appointed by the Director of Training Center, who often finds it difficult to match a training program to a suitable instructor. To solve the issue, this study couples profile matching method with a decision support system to build a viable option for making the right decision based on a set of predetermined criteria. The concept of profile matching method is basically to compare personal competence with expected instructor competence so as to determine the competence gap. The lower the gap is, the higher the score an individual can get, which means a greater chance to be appointed as an instructor. Profile matching has successfully produced reliable information on the rankings of prospective instructors. Keywords: training, instructor, profile matching

Abstract

The parking area for IBI Darmajaya employees is the parking area where IBI Darmajaya employees put their vehicles. The problem statement of this research was the high number of IBI Darmajaya students putting their vehicle in the parking area for IBI Darmajaya employees due to limited parking space. This problem was able to be overcome by designing a system to open an access into the parking area through fingerprint system as the identifier (input) and Arduino Uno as the main controller. This system consisted of 4 main components i.e., the fingerprint sensor, the ultrasonic sensor, the servo motor, and the parking bar. The parking bar control system used Arduino Uno-based fingerprint system that was useful to shorten the verification process so that the vehicle was able to get into the parking area. The result of this research was that the fingerprint system-based parking bar control was able to save the 1,000 employee fingerprint records. An average for matching fingerprints to the closing bars was 4.86 seconds form the entrance bar and 4.8 seconds to the exit bar with 450 cm of the maximum distance between the ultrasonic sensor and the vehicle. Abstract

Lampung was one of the provinces in Indonesia that had great natural, cultural developed tourist attraction potentials. These potentials were seen on beautiful natural panoramas and geographical features including seas, rivers, hills, and mountains that had their own uniqueness and characteristics. Moreover, the diverse cultures and customs were also unique and different from the other provinces inIndonesia. With these conditions, Lampung was able to be developed as a tourist destination, particularly its location that was also very close to the Java Island and the other cities of Sumatra Island. Some of the natural and cultural beauty in Lampung had been developed and successfully became a tourist destination. Tourism spots commercialized in Lampung included beaches and seas with high waves, traditional customs, mountainous nature, forests, rivers with diving and fishing facilities and the other potentials. The problem of this research was the decreasing number of tourists visiting the tourist destinations in Lampung Province. The objective of this research was determining the factors affect ing the tourists’ visit ing decision on the tourist destinations in Lampung Province. In this research, aresearch model was developed with seven hypotheses that had been formulated. Abstract

The research is related to face recognition which is influenced by illumination factor. The method used is the Robust Regression, which has a better performance than many other methods. The empirical experiment, which uses Yale Face Database B Cropped, is conducted to determine the effect of number of face images in the training process on face recognition perfomance. The hypothesis proposed in this research is the greater number of face images will result in higher facial recognition performance. The empirical experiment was conducted on this research to prove the hypothesis. Based on experiments that have been done, in general, the process of data training with many images will result in high performance of face recognition. But, this trend only occurs in images in the similar illumination condition. Illumination variation of face images also have significant impact on face recognition results. The process of training data with images of illumination variations (from several subsets of the face database) results in better face recognition performance than the process of training data with images of similar illumination conditions (from a subset of the face database). By using 19 images from subset 5 of the face database, face recognition accuracy is obtained at 95.11%. Whereas by only using 5 images from several subsets, obtained face recognition accuracy up to 96.10%. Even by using 7 images from several subsets, the accuracy obtained is up to 99.47%.Keywords: Face Recognition Performance, Robust Regression, Data Training
