Abstract

The tongue is an important part of human body to taste, speak and swallow the food. It reflect the inner working of body. Any kind of unusual behavior of body is reflected through tongue like problem in stomach, pancreas, liver and intestines etc. So in this paper, we are proposing automatic computer based technique to analyze the changes in tongue, which will be latter useful in diabetes diagnosis in patients. The main focus of our paper deals threshold of tongue signs for diagnosis the diseases. The sign classifies the tongue irregular shape, overlapping of colors, saliva on cracks, buds, pimples etc. Each signs have unique character reflections and issues. This sign factor consists of several phases; quantitative features texture measures for tongue image acquisition by using image processing and crack segmentation.Key Word: automatic computer based, threshold, image acquisition

Abstract

MSME actors should have an operating strategy by taking into account the opportunities that are immediately utilized. Many of the competency constraints possessed by MSMEs include the low level of managerial ability that makes their businesses not develop. This is due to the low implementation of the operating strategy so that competitive advantage is difficult to obtain. Competitive advantage is an important thing and can be used as capital for SMEs to continue to grow and develop. This will encourage the need to improve the competencies of MSME actors to be able to implement operating strategies. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of entrepreneurial competence through an operational strategy on competitive advantage. The research method used uses quantitative methods. The study population was culinary MSMEs in North Bandung with a sample of 50 respondents. The sampling technique used uses probability sampling. Data withdrawal techniques through questionnaires with Likert instrument measurement scale. While the data analysis technique uses Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling. The results of the study showed that the influence of competence on the operating strategy (39.6%) was greater when compared to the influence of competence on superiority (35.3%). Furthermore, the influence of competencies on competitive advantage through operating strategies is 43.1%. This shows that the high and low competitive advantage is determined by the high and low level of entrepreneurial competency which is supported by the high and low operating strategies carried out by MSME players. Keywords : Compotence, Operation Strategy, and Competitive Advantage

Abstract

his study aims to test and analyze brand trust and reputation variables of private universities from the aspects that influence the Management Information System (MIS), service quality, customer value and customer satisfaction. Structural Equation Modeling is used to find out the conceptual model of brand trust and reputation of private universities. The population of this study are students from the study program of private university management in Kepulauan Riau Province in 2016 who have used Academic Information System and B accredited that is 3,513 students. The sample size is 360 which is distributed proportionally at each location at each private University. The results showed that the better the MIS in the college will be the better the college in students value, but good or bad the existing MIS does not determine the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of students to services provided by the university. Better service quality will make students satisfied and add good grades of college in students value. If the better the value of college for the students will further increase the students' trust toward the good name of the college and improve the reputation of the college for the students. The more satisfied of student will be satisfied for the services provided will also brand of trust of the college and improve the reputation of the college. Study of brand trust and reputation of the college that is influenced by Management Information System, the quality of service with customer value mediation and customer satisfaction variables is still infrequent, so with the present research can give a positive contribution to the development of private universities and to further improve the quality of universities high private sector in producing graduates who excel and competitiveness, especially with state universities. KeywordS : Brand Trust, MIS, Private Universities, Service Quality, and Reputation

Abstract

The Graduate Program of Information Technology Department of IBI Darmajaya has some concentrations. They are Software Engineering and Information Systems. During this time, the decision made by the students to choose the topic of their thesis is based on their interest on the providedconcentration, not based on theirexpertise.Beside the scores of the course that the students take, there are other factors that influence in selecting the concentration. They are interest and motivation possessed by the students. These factors can early help the students develop the skills that they have so that they can be more focus on developing capabilities. The objective of this research was to produce a design ofthe fuzzy systemswhich could help the students in determining the concentration and the topic of the thesis by using the fuzzy logic. The method used in this research was the intelligent system method which was called the fuzzy logic. The reason why the fuzzy logic was used was that the fuzzy logic could tolerate the uncertain values. Moreover, the fuzzy logic was based on the reasoning which used the approach to the uncertainty which combined the numeric variable, the linguistic variable, and rule. KEY WORDS: Concentrations, Interests, Motivation, Courses Scores, Fuzzy

Abstract

Conventional greenhouse technology has been replaced by the development of Smart Farming. In green house that use smart farming technology, there is monitoring and control system. The measurable growth factors for tomatoare temperature, room humidity and soil moisture. Regional characteristics and climate factors are often unpredictable and cause these factors to inhibit the growth of tomato. In this system, it is made by monitoring and controlling roomtemperature, soil moisture according to the needs of tomato. In this system, to detect temperature and soil moisture, the DHT11 sensor is used, while the soil moisture sensor is used to detect soil moisture. NodeMCU ESP8266 acts as the mainbrain or microcontroller in the Micro Climate System. This monitoring system can measure temperature, room humidity and soil moisture levels, and can control the system to match the appropriate parameters.Keywords- Internet of Things, tomato, Smart farming, Greenhouse, Controlling, Monitoring

Abstract

Motor vehicles are a modern transportation that is still in use today. Each motor vehicle has a unique code bone code and machine code, and this code combined with the area code where the vehicle is registered and save in vehicle number letter (STNK). Each vehicle registration number is unique for each vehicle. This paper propose a method to detect the license plate of vehicles by using smearing and Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSER) detection. This paper uses private vehicle number plate as test data because on private vehicle number plate in Indonesia has high-level contrast between background and foreground. By using the smearing algorithm, the level of contrast colour that can be in a licence plate region can detected. An image area that has a high contrast level is then re-analysed using MSER. Areas with detection results that have characters of more than two will selected as the number plate area. The data used in this paper is randomly drawn car image data using a digital camera. Based on the available test results of 80% made on the area identified as the number plate. The test results show the method that is classified as the number plate area on the car image that has the license plate. Keywords : Smearing Algorthm, MSER, and Lisence Plate Detection.
