Abstract

The research objective was to see the effectiveness of "si gadir" to increase the self-esteem of vocational students. The research method is an experiment using a pretest-posttest group design involving 10 students who have low self-esteem as group members. The results showed that there was an increase in students' self-esteem before being given "si gadir" of 1.028 (SD 6.12) to 1.308 (SD 5.90; t (10) = 8.89, p <0.01). This research was conducted that si gadir (simulasi harga diri) can be applied to increase students' self-esteem.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, everything must be done from home, including studying. There are many problems faced by students during Distance Learning (PJJ), which ultimately makes students experience stress in learning. Starting from students feeling bored studying at home, having difficulty concentrating, being anxious, restless when getting assignments from the teacher, causing dizziness/headaches, and reduced appetite. The problems above, if not resolved immediately, will have an impact on the value of student learning outcomes. One of the strategies to overcome this problem is a relaxation strategy. The purpose of this study was to determine that relaxation techniques can reduce stress in class XI MIPA 1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Mantua Lamongan, teaching 2020/2021. This research is single-subject research. This research lasted for 2 cycles, namely, cycle I and cycle II. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and measurement scale questionnaires. Methods of data analysis using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The initial condition of the stress score reached 87.5, cycle I 75, while cycle II 47.5. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there are differences in the stress levels of student learning before and after the action. Thus it can be concluded that relaxation strategies can reduce stress in learning for class XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Mantap academic year 2020/2021.

Abstract

This research is a research type of Counseling Guidance Action. This research raises about eclective counseling by attending and students learning problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of eclectic counseling with attending behavior to reduce learning problems for class IX students of SMP Bilingual Terpadu Krian Sidoarjo. The research method used in analyzing the data in this study is qualitative. The research process took place in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Cycle I is the stage where the treatment is first carried out after conducting an assessment and preparation of an action plan. Cycle II is a follow-up action taken after cycle I is deemed less than optimal, therefore the researcher designed and implemented cycle II. The research subjects were students of class IX in the 2020/2021 academic year who after initial observations were taken 3 people who have a level of learning problems that are considered the highest of other students. Data collection techniques used interviews and observation through group counseling. In this research it was found that there were significant changes in the problems the students faced tended to improve. With the results of the first cycle of 46 (low) and the results of the second cycle of 68.33 (moderate). Based on this research, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of exclusive counseling with attending behavior to reduce the learning problems of class IX students of SMP Bilingual Terpadu.

Abstract

Learning activities can be carried out if all components are met, namely teachers and students. In this modern era, truant behavior still occurs, especially students who do not have a stand, only join friends to skip class. The purpose of this classroom action research is the extent to which truancy behavior can be reduced with individual counseling through assertive training techniques to refuse invitations to truancy friends. The research subjects were students of class XI TKJ 2 SMK Raden Paku Wringinom for the 2020/2021 school year. The methods used in collecting data were questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results obtained in the first cycle were still low, namely 55% of the success indicator, while the second cycle experienced a success rate of 87.5%. So it can be concluded that with assertive training students are firm in rejecting an invitation to truancy.

Abstract

Assertive behavior is important for individuals. Assertive behavior reflects how individuals are able to recognize themselves and be honest in dealing with or interacting with others. Assertive behavior leads individuals to be able to appreciate the expression of positive and negative feelings of themselves and others and to be able to exercise self-control without guilt. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to increase assertiveness through group counseling services with assertive training techniques for students. In this study, the research subjects were students who had a low level of assertiveness in class X DPIB 2 SMK Negeri 1 Sampang. This research took place in two cycles. The data collection technique used a student activeness questionnaire. The data analysis method used to analyze the level of success or the percentage of giving reinforcement to student assertiveness was done by providing an evaluation questionnaire. From the results of cycles I and II, there was an increase in the criteria for rigor from "low" to "medium" and "high". Group counseling with assertive training techniques can increase student assertiveness.

Abstract

Motivation to learn is something to stimulate students in carrying out learning activities to get a goal, namely achievement in learning. In learning activities, there will be active interactions that lead to the physical and mental development of students. So the authors conducted research on "Group Counseling To Increase Learning Motivation With SFBC (Miracle Question Technique) Approach To Students Class XI IPA 2 SMA Hang Tuah 1 Surabaya". The aim was to see if the SFBC approach to magic questioning techniques had an effect on increasing learning motivation. Retrieval of research subjects was carried out using data methods in the form of measuring learning motivation, data from interviews with subject teachers about the conditions of students' activeness during learning activities, activeness in carrying out assignments, and the accuracy of task orders. Based on the descriptive analysis, the proportion of large motivation to learn in class XI IPA 2 is 5.56% has very high learning motivation, 30.56% has high learning motivation, 47.22% has moderate learning motivation, and 16.67% has low motivation to learn. The author tries to help increase motivation to learn with the magic question technique because the essence of every human being is able to build solutions to improve his life. The author seeks to help students to find solutions with barriers, strengths, and weaknesses themselves. Because the learning motivation factor is the dominant factor, it is sought for further research to analyze the factors that influence learning motivation, for example learning environments, learning resources and learning media.

Abstract

Truancy is a form of student delinquency, which if not resolved or addressed can have a more severe impact. Truancy is one of the factors causing an unhealthy school environment or climate. And students are the main actors in these events. . How serious this truancy behavior needs full attention from various parties. Not only attention comes from the school, but also attention that comes from parents, friends, and the government. Truancy is very detrimental and can even be a source of new problems. This study aims to reduce truancy in class XII IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Pasirian through group counseling using token economy techniques. This study used Guidance and Counseling action research, the research design used was the Kemmis and Taggart model consisting of 2 cycles. The results showed that for truancy level truancy in the initial state of 40% after cycle I to 20% and after cycle II to 0%, for the moderate category in the initial state of 40% after cycle I remained 20% and after cycle II it became 0%, for Initial low category 20% after cycle I become 40% and after cycle, II remains 40%, while for the very low category in the initial state 0% after cycle I remain 0% and after cycle II becomes 60%. This shows that group counseling using token economy techniques can reduce truancy in class XII IPS 3 SAM Negeri 1 Pasirian

Abstract

Discipline attitude is an important and main aspect of education, so it is hoped that students can control their behavior in accordance with applicable norms. In connection with this mission, it is felt the need for effective and efficient guidance and counseling services to help overcome the problems that are being faced by students. The guidance and counseling teachers considered the use of information services to be less than optimal, so this time using group counseling services. The purpose of this research is to improve the disciplinary behavior of students. There are many treatments that can be done to improve discipline, one of which is behavior modification therapy. What will be used in behavior modification is to use the token economy technique, namely by providing positive reinforcement. This guidance and counseling action research uses classroom action research. Purposive sampling technique was used in this guidance and counseling action research. Based on the results of observations made during the study, there was a significant change in disciplinary behavior from the act of giving the token economy in cycle 1 and cycle 2.

Abstract

Poor self-concept in adolescents, one of which can be seen from the lack of self-confidence. The student who has confidence will be certain in their abilities and have realistic expectations, and when expectations do not materialize, they still think positively and can receive it. Unrealistic expectations can be reduced by using techniques that can direct students to control negative cognitive behaviors and thoughts that cause low student confidence (overt-covert). Wilcoxon test analysis results show that sig. (2-tailed) 0.042 <0.05 which can be interpreted as a technique of self-instruction can increase the confidence of students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Singosari, with a significant level of 5%. The use of self-instruction techniques as an alternative technique to increase student confidence starts from rational procedures, self-guidance, overt external guidance, overt self-guidance, faded overt self-guidance, covert self-guidance, and homework.

Abstract

During a pandemic the number of social media use for children and adolescents is increasing, and this increase has both positive and negative impacts. This study aims to find the influence of social media use on mental health and social welfare for adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic. Respondents of this study were 257 people aged around 12 to 19 years. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data analysis in this study used simple linear regression analysis and MANOVA analysis. The results of the study show that there is an influence between the use of social media on mental health and social welfare of adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic.
