ELEMENTARY Journal (Print ISSN: 2355-0155; Online ISSN: 2503-0256) is an Islamic teacher journal published by Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI), Islamic Education (Tarbiyah) Department, State College on Islamic Studies (STAIN) Kudus. Elementary is published twice a year (every six months, i.e. January and July) as scientific communication means of academic people in the study of Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education. Editorial Board receives the articles from the educators, observers, researchers on Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education to be published after having tight selection, peer review, and serious editting.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan keefektifan media video terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar menulis narasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 5 Gumelar Kabupaten Banyumas, yang terdiri dari 21 orang siswa kelas eksperimen dan 22 orang siswa kelas kontrol. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi experimental dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis pertama dengan menggunakan independent sample t test, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan aktivitas dan hasil belajar menulis narasi pada siswa kelas IV antara yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan media video dan yang menggunakan media gambar. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis kedua dengan menggunakan one sample t test, menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas dan hasil belajar menulis narasi pada siswa kelas IV yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media video lebih tinggi daripada yang menggunakan media gambar. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video efektif terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the ineffectiveness of the role of religion in building a clean society from corruption must be realized together. Therefore, Islamic education is expected to be a solution in dealing with corruption now and in the future, especially in the early preventive efforts. The theoretical approach of religion-based anti-corruption education seeks to see the extent to which the reality of society can be accommodated in aspects of Anti-Corruption Education, both on material aspects, learning methods, means of infrastructure and so forth. Islamic education in schools can play a role in combating corruption by integrating contextual Islamic learning materials with messages to be conveyed with regard to corruption. The research design used was qualitative which focused on anti-corruption religious education in elementary school. If this concept is applied, it is expected to change in the mindset of learners of religious values that can be applied in empirical life. So that further impact towards the realization of quality and dignified Indonesian society.

Abstract

Abstract Supervisors are part of the administrative education staff that has long been regulated in Government Regulation No. 38 of 1992 concerning educational personnel. Supervisory responsibilities in the context of improving the quality of education have spread in the Ministry of Education Regulation No. 12 of 2007 and Regulation of the Minister of Religion No. 2 of 2012. The basic purpose of this study is to see how the perception of the head of Islamic Elementary School State 1 in Yogyakarta (MIN 1 Yogyakarta city) on the performance of managerial supervisors inYogyakarta which includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of managerial supervision and its influence on the performance of the principal of Islamic Elementary School State 1 in Yogyakarta. Researchers obtained data from 2 retrievals, namely empirically qualitative and discrete quantitative figures. Qualitative data were obtained from perceptions or views of research subjects. While quantitative data is obtained from the acquisition of numbers and scoring by means of the index and categorized using the Rating Scale. This method is known as the Mix method. The results of this study (1) The performance of managerial supervision in the planning of supervisory programs according to the perception of the headmaster of Islamic Elementary School State 1 Yogyakarta with an average score of 95.83% is classified as a very good category (2) in the implementation of supervision programs managerial with an average score of 92.65% categorized very good (3) in the evaluation of managerial supervision programs with an average score of 91.67% categorized very good.

Abstract

Learning activities for each individual are not alwaysable to take place naturally. This is due to the individual differencesamong students. Students cannot learn properly called withlearning difficulties. Learning difficulties is a drawback that isnot outwardly visible. Inability to learn is not to be recognizedin a physical form different from people who do not experienceproblems learning difficulties. This paper identifies factors thatcontribute the learning affect in children.

Abstract

AbstractIn the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, students starting from Elementary education to higher education need to be enhanced by 4Cs skills including critical thinking abilities, creative thinking abilities, communicating abilities and collaborative abilities in order to face challenges and solve problems. Therefore, educators play an essential role in producing better future generations in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The purpose of this study is to explain the perceptions of the students in the department of Islamic elementary education (PGMI) at IAIN Kudus as the candidate of teachers regarding the importance of integrating higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in English learning through a project-based learning model, one of them by making video projects of teaching English in elementary school. This study employed a qualitative method with an approach to descriptive analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with students and documentation. The results of the study showed that most students in the department of Islamic elementary education (PGMI) at IAIN Kudus agree that the project of making videos in teaching English at elementary schools can encourage them in learning English especially in speaking English. They feel more confident when teaching English after making a video project. Moreover, the project of making videos can promote their creative and critical thinking skills in learning English. AbstrakDi era revolusi industri 4.0, peserta didik dari jenjang pendidikan dasar sampai pendidikan tinggi perlu dibekali dengan 4Cs skills diantaranya kemampuan berpikir kritis (critical thinking), kemampuan berpikir kreatif (creative thinking), kemampuan berkomunikasi (communicating) dan kemampuan berkolaborasi (collaborating) agar mampu menghadapi tantangan dan menyelesaikan segala persoalan.Oleh karena itu, para pendidik memiliki peran penting dalam mencetak generasi unggul di era revolusi industry 4.0. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan tentang persepsi calon guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah yakni mahasiswa Program Studi PGMI di IAIN Kudus mengenai pentingnya mengintegrasikan higher order thinking skills (HOTS) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris melalui model pembelajaran berbasis projek (project-based learning) salah satunya dengan membuat projek video mengajar bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan pada analisis deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi struktur kepada mahasiswa dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa Prodi PGMI berpendapat bahwa projek membuat video mengajar bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar dapat mendorong mereka dalam belajar bahasa Inggris khususnya dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris, mahasiswa merasa rasa percaya diri mereka menjadi semakin terlatih ketika mencoba mengajar di sekolah dasar setelah membuat projek video. Lebih dari itu, projek membuat video juga dapat mengasah kreatifitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop diagnostic questions in measuring student misconceptions and to describe the profile of the misconceptions following students in the science concepts subject in the Motion Systems sub-chapter. This research is part of the research and development (R&D) step in developing a four-level type of diagnostic test item consisting of a preliminary study stage, a development stage, and a validation stage. At this stage of development, the researcher gave open description questions to students of the Primary Educational Teacher Department, Universitas Muria Kudus in semester 3 of the 2018/2019 academic year classes 3C, 3D, 3E, and 3F to find the form of diagnostic questions, find answer options and options for these questions. The instrument is provided as a diagnostic question instrument in the form of a description. Based on data analysis, it is found that it is valid and reliable so that it can be used for research. The proportions of the resulting answers, namely there are four answer choices and four reason choices with portions right, right with a little wrong, right with many wrong answers or reasons. Based on the results of the analysis of misconceptions, it is known that 23.7% of students answered correctly, 6, 3% of students guessed the answer, 38 % of students had misconceptions and 31.6% of students did not understand the concept.

Abstract

Teachers as parts of the educational component havethe most important roles in achieving quality education agenda. Inachieving the goal of education, teachers are the spearhead whichalso directly related to teaching, educating, and guiding studentstowards the creation of the ideal man, the one who dignifies andcivilizes in the frame of faith and piety as a manifestation of thepurpose of human life itself.Teachers are able to carry out their duties as teachers, educators,and counselors are teachers who have the competence required inaccordance with national education standards. It is undeniablethat teachers in educational practice are still prevalent lack offulfillment as the ideal ones so that they can carry out the tasksand role as a real teacher. Abstract

This study aims to determine clean and healthy behavior (PHBS) that is in accordance with Islamic teachings. This study uses a qualitative research method with triangulation (combined) data collection techniques. The validity test of the data in this study used data triangulation techniques. The results of this study basically students have applied PHBS in schools, for example: maintaining cleanliness of clothing and body, habit of washing hands, disposing of garbage in place, regular exercise, snacks in a healthy school canteen, and so forth. However, these habits have no direct mentoring or supervision by the teacher. This makes students still do not wash their hands, some even wash their hands just by soaking their hands without rubbing the entire hand and between fingers until clean using soap. In addition, teachers and UKS officers forget to provide clean soap and towels beside the hand washing place. In removing garbage in its place some students can do it correctly, but due to lack of supervision, there are still students who throw litter. From this study it can be concluded that MI Maarif Dukuh has conducted PHBS health education in accordance with Islamic teachings in the school environment. Students of MI Maarif Dukuh have a clean and healthy lifestyle. This can be seen from the hand washing routines carried out by students before and after meals, as well as after sports activities. All teachers and employees view the importance of PHBS education and health education for all MI students, but this study is more focused on class V students.
