There are many ways to meassure visceral fat proportion, one of them is Waist-to-Height Ratio (WHtR). The high proportion of visceral fat cause disturbance of blood vessel that may cause ED. This study is aimed to examine the association the occurrence of ED among men with large and small WHtR. Methods: This study was an analytic-observational study with cross sectional approach conducted in Jebres District in September-October 2014. The subjects were 40 men selected using simple random sampling technique. The dependent variable under study was Erectile Dysfunction. The Indepenent variable under study was Waist-to-Height Ratio. The confounding factor to control was age. The data obtained from physical measurements and questionnaire-led interviews with standard questionnaire International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) for ED diagnostic. The data were analyzed by use of chi-square and multiple logistic-regression, on SPSS 21.0. Results: The result from bivariate analysis showed that 17 out of 20 men with large WHtR (> 0.5) experienced ED (OR = 1.42; p = 0.677); on the other hand, 27 out of 28 men aged > 50 years experienced ED (OR = 27; p = 0.000). Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that men with large WHtR risk experienced ED 1.66 times higher than men with small WHtR. (OR = 1.66; CI = 95% 0.23 to 12.23; p = 0.617). Conclusions: There is association between WHtR and ED. Men with large WHtR risk experiencing ED more than men with small WHtR, this result is not statistically significant. Background: Breastfeeding patterns can affect the growth of infant. Exclusive breastfeeding can provide enough nutritions for infant growth until the age of 6 months. The purpose of the research was to know the difference of increment of length and weight gain between infants aged 2-6 months who received exclusive breastfeeding and those who received non exclusive breastfeeding in regional primary health center in Pajang. Methods: This was an analytic observational study with cross sectional approach, using simple random sampling technique. The number of the samples was 60 infants aged 2-6 months from some Posyandu (integrated health service units) in the neighborhood of regional Primary Health Center in Pajang in May-July 2014. Increment of length and weight gain data obtained by measuring the difference between current length and weight and those at birth then divided by infants age. Breastfeeding pattern was derived from the questionnaire. Data were analyzed using statistical test Mann Whitney and Independent t-test. Results: The test result for increment of length among infant aged 2-6 months who received exclusive breastfeeding and those who received non exclusive breastfeeding using a statistical test Mann Whitney showed the value of p=0,025. The test result for increment of weight gain among infant aged 2-6 months who received exclusive breastfeeding and non exclusive breastfeeding using Independent t-test showed the value of p=0,002. Conclusions: There is significant difference of increment of length between infants aged 2-6 months who received exclusive breastfeeding and those who received non exclusive breastfeeding in Regional Primary Health Center in Pajang and there is significant difference of increment of weight gain between infants aged 2-6 months who received exclusive breastfeeding and those who received non exclusive breastfeeding in Regional Primary Health Center in Pajang. Abstract

Background: Over 6.6 million children under five years old died in 2012. Approximately, 45% of these deaths were caused by malnutrition. Indonesia faced dual problem in childrens nutrition as the proportion of over nutrition was high, approximately 11.9% in 2013. Immunization is an effective method to prevent disease and affect indirectly to childrens nutritional status. However, the increasing immunization coverage in Indonesia did not followed by improved nutritional status among children. The prevalence of under-nutrition kept increasing during 2007-2013. This study aimed to measure the association between immunization and nutritional status among children aged 12 23 months in Punggawan Village, Banjarsari Districts, Surakarta. Methods: An observational analytic study with cross sectional design was conducted. This study was located in Punggawan Village, Banjarsari Districts, Surakarta during June July 2014 time period. Sample of this study was children aged 12 23 months in Punggawan Village, Banjarsari Districts, Surakarta. Sample was taken by non-probability sampling technique using total sampling method. Data were gathered by direct measurement of childrens weight and height. Their nutritional status was defined by several anthropometry indices such as weight for age, height for age, weight for height, and body mass index for age. Childrens immunization status was classified into complete on schedule, complete but not on schedule, and incomplete. Data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, and T-test. Results: The result of one-way ANOVA test showed p=0.786 means that immunization status was not associated with weight for age index. The result of Kruskal-Wallis test showed that immunization status was not associated with height for age, weight for height, and body mass index for age indices with p value respectively 0.27; 0.214; 0.354. Nutritional status also did not show an association with mothers educational level. On the contrary, T-test results showed an association between mothers job type and weight for age index (p=0.001), weight for height index (p=0.004), height for age index (p=0.002), BMI for age index (p=0.022). Conclusion: There was no association between immunization and nutritional status in 12 23 months children in Punggawan Village, Banjarsari Districts, Surakarta. Those variables such as the using duration of combined oral contraception, blood pressure levels (systolic and diastolic), age, and body mass index (BMI) were analyzed using Kolmogorof-Smirnovs test of normality and linear regression analysis using SPSS 16 for Windows. Results: The result of simple statistic test using linear regression showed the correlation significancy between the using duration of combined oral contraception and blood pressure levels, both systolic (p=0,004) and diastolic (p=0,012). Conclusions: There is a correlation between the using duration of combined oral contraception and blood pressure levels among fertile women.
