Abstract

This paper discussed Bahasa Indonesia as one of the general course in higher education. In the university, this subject includes in personality development. Therefore, the purpose of this subject is not limited to the ability to use the rules of language in communication. This paper aims to show that at the level of langue, Indonesian can be used to develop student creativity. The concept of this langue as proposed by Saussure. Within this concept, there are syntagmatic and associative relationships that can be used to develop student creativity through scientific papers. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Based on the analysis that already conducted, found that through a search of constituents which have syntagmatic and associative relations in the form of words, phrases, and sentences, then we can found the new ideas and creativity can be developed and contained in the form of scientific papers.

Abstract

The middle warm terms discussed in education related to the change of curriculum KTSP (2006) into the curriculum in 2013 that the scientific approach, text-based learning, and Indonesian as the tractor all subject. However, when examined more deeply, especially for Indonesian subjects, is more focused on aspects of creativity and literacy skills of students. Creativity and literacy skills into a foundation thatshould be owned by everyone, because both can lead a nation towards progress. In other words, a person's creativity and literacy skills can be used as a parameter to measure the quality of education that will ultimately determine the quality of human resources. Someone literacy skills, one of which will appear on the ability to read and write. Reading and writing is an activity that involves creativity, because both  the language skills of a creative activity. Reading and writing are like two sides of a coin can not be separated each other and influence each other. Therefore, reading and writing should be provided in an integrated. This paper will raise about creativity in teaching literacy literary texts. Why literature? Because in the literature will be full of educational values and character. In addition, the literature is also a creative product.Keywords : creativity, literacy, literary texts

Abstract

In foreign language context, English is taught mostly in classroom. Providing a lot of exposures should be considered by the teachers. Textbook is one of the way canbe used in the process of teaching-learning English. This study aims to investigatethe strategies used by the teacher when she or he choose an appropriate and idealtext book which is fit in with thr situation and condition of the student. To collectthe data, the researcher make same analysis to 20 books title “Kecil Kecil PunyaKarya” (KKPK) and make some interviews with the writer and the readers of thesebooks. The findings revealed that this book effective as a part of textbook we used inthe classroom. This study indicated that there some improvements of students`English ability in terms of quality such as effectiveness, content, vocabulary. Therespondents said that the love this textbook because the story is the reflection oftheir life. And it makes the interesting to read it. The research shows that KKPKinclude in the category of “appropriate” and “almost appropriate”, with the lowestpercentage 53,57 % dan the highest percentage 76,19%. So we can conclude thatteacher can use KKPK as one of the English textbook in the classroom.

Abstract

Folklor menjadi suatu manifestasi masyarakat tentang cerita, budaya, falsafahhidup dan nilai-nilai yang perlu diinventarisasi sebagai kekayaan dan identitasdaerah atau kelompok masyarakat. Nilai-nilai dalam folklor dapat dijadikansebagai salahsatu alat didik bagi masyarakat, seperti hal nya pendidikan karakter.Pendidikan karakter dalam folklor membantu untuk mengesplorasi karakter ataudasar dari manusia yang dapat dijadikan bekal atau kontrol bersosial. Keberadaanfolklor tidak lepas dari tatanan kehidupan masyarakat karena folklor senantiasahidup dan berkembang di masyarakat. Salahsatu folklor yang hidup ditengahtengahmasyarakat ialah folklor Mbah Sodong. Dalam folklor Mbah Sodongterdapat nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dan bagidunia pendidikan dengan dapat dijadikan bahan ajar di sekolah dalam rangkamenunjang pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This study attemps to describe the language use or stylistics of short stories “Mata yang Enak dipandang written by Ahmad Tohari. The way Tohari expresses his ideas can be seen from his choice of lexicalitems, and sentence constructions. He uses metaphore, simile, personification, tautology, hyperbole, climax, anticlimax, repetition, paradox, and nature words, rhetorical sentences, polisindeton, andasindenton in order to emphasize his ideas, to emerge a wholeherated impression, and to attract reader’s interet. Syntatically, he uses both short and long sentences. They are combined to avoid a monotonous impression.Kata Kunci: Gaya bahasa, Mata Yang Enak Dipandang, Stilistika

Abstract

Diberlakukannya pasar bebas menyebabkan peran komunikasi lintas-budaya sangat penting. Duniasebagai pasar global membuat transaksi perekonomian menjadi tanpa batas ruang dan waktu. Untukitu dibutuhkan keterampilan komunikasi lintas-budaya yang efektif untuk dapat berhasil dalampersaingan global. Perbedaan budaya memberikan tantangan yang unik dan sering mengakibatkankesalahpahaman. Komunikasi lintas-budaya ini penting karena dalam interaksi sosial sehari-hari,paparan budaya yang berbeda tidak bisa dihindari. Di dalam komunikasi biasa antara dua orang,adalah 35% komponen verbal, sedangkan 65% terjadi secara non-verbal (Ray L. Birdwhistell, 1969)1). Negara Indonesia dan China termasuk negara yang berbudaya konteks tinggi, namun masih sajaada beberapa faktor budaya di antara keduanya yang berbeda, yang juga menjadi ciri khas masingmasing.Dalam artikel ini akan dijelaskan beberapa budaya khas, khususnya yang berkaitan dengankomunikasi lintas budaya di antara keduanya yang memiliki persamaan ataupun perbedaan, baikverbal maupun non-verbal.Kata kunci: budaya konteks tinggi, China, Indonesia, komunikasi, lintas-budaya.

Abstract

Sebagai upaya menghasilkan peserta didik yang kreatif, seorang guru/dosen harus mampu memilah dan memilih model pembelajaran yang kreatif daninovatif. Makalah ini mengkaji sebuah pembelajaran apresiasi sastra yang mengarah pada kreativitas peserta didik dan pembelajaran inovatif. Pembelajaran inovatif adalah pembelajaran yang memiliki ciri-ciri diantaranya berbasis student center dan berpendekatan konstruktivisme. Melalui pembelajaran musikalisasi puisi peserta didik memperoleh pengalaman berekspresi sastra secara lisan dan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik. Lesson study merupakan cara untuk mengembangkan profesionalisme guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, melalui lesson study seluruh aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran dapat terpantau. Pembelajaran musikalisasi puisi berbasis lesson study dapat dijadikan alternatif model pembelajaran inovatif. Oleh karena itu, makalah inijuga akan memaparkan langkah-langkah pembelajaran musikalisasi puisi berbasis lesson study yang dapat dijadikan  sebagai petunjuk bagi guru/dosen dalam mengimplementasikan model pembelajan inovatif ini.
