Abstract

Purpose of the study was to determine differences in the results of the microscopic examination of sputum BTA that is directly checked by way of delay 24 hours at room temperature. Type of research is descriptive analytical. Data analysis was using different testing Wilcoxon Dependent Test with 95% confidence level (alpha less than 0,05) and supported SPSS 21. There are 3 samples with 1+ results of 25 sputum samples were directly examined there are 8 samples with 2+ results, 14 samples with 3+ results. Where as for the examination of samples that postponed for 24 hours at a temperature of 25oC obtained 1+ results for 7 samples, 2+ with 6 samples, and 3+ of 12 samples are positive BTA. At 25 sputums samples were directly examined with delay methods for 24 hours at 25oC, obtained 6 sputum are more likely to be negative. There is no positive results and the same number will be checked with the methods of sputum delay for 24 hours at room temperature less than 19 sputums. This indicates that the examination of sputum delay for 24 hours at room temperature could lead to false negative results or even a false positive. There was the difference of the results between sputum directly examined by with be delayed 24 hours at room temperature 25oC .It is recomended that examination sputum TBC should be done soon to avoid a positive result or negative specious the results of investigation microscopic .

Abstract

Uncontrolled hemorrhage that contributes for approximately 20 % -25 % of maternal death makes it the most serious risk. The efforts to prevent hemorrhage postpartum can be done since the third and fourth stage of delivery by giving oxytocin through oral, intra - nasal , intra - muscular , or with a massage that stimulates the release of oxytocin hormone, which cause the involution process. This study aims to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on uterine involution to woman with multiparous postpartum. Research design was an experimental Quasy Case control with 36 respondents. The results shows that the treatment mean from the measurement of the reduction of TFU in the 7th (seven) days was 8.56, the mean of group control was 6.33, p value was 0.0001, t value was 4.919. In conclusion, the oxytocin massage significantly decrease of the Height Uterin Fundus in multiparous postpartum women. While on the remeasurement on the 14th day the treatment mean was 10.00, mean value of control was 9.50, p value was 0.038, t value was 2.513 means that oxytocin massage is no longer significantly decrease the Hight Uterin Fundus for women with multiparous postpartum.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of bay leaf extract mouthwashes on plaque formation. This type of research was experimental with pretest and posttest control group design. The number of samples was 30 students of class V SDN Meteseh, Tembalang, Semarang. The samples were divided into two groups, group I were rinsed with salam leaf extract and group II distilled water rinse. Plaque was measured using the plaque index by PHP before and after rinsing leaves extract. Analysis of the data used is the Independent Sample t - Test. The test results showed that the value of p = 0,000 which means a decrease in plaque index occurs significantly in the control and treatment groups. Independent Sample t - Test showed that the value of p = 0,005 so there was a significant difference between the control group  rinsed with distilled water rinse treatment group to the salam leaf extract (Eugenia polyantha Wight). It can be concluded that gargling salam leaf extract could reduce the formation of dental plaque.

Abstract

Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction is software used to reduce noise. In several hospital uses the ASIR application with varying percentages between radiographers. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in noise and anatomical image information on variations in the percentage of ASIR and ASIR values that reveal optimal CT scan anatomic image information. This type of research is experimental, data are taken from 30 samples of reconstructive CT scan of the abdomen by giving four variations of ASIR (0%, 40%, 60%, and 80%). Noise measurement is done by placing the ROI size of 105.61 mm2 at three points, namely superior liver, inferior liver and middle of the aorta on the axial section. while the assessment of anatomical image information by observation of the results of variations in the value of ASIR by two radiologists. Data analysis uses the One way Anova test to determine differences in noise, Friedman test to determine differences in anatomical image information with a confidence level of 95%. The results showed that there were differences in the abdominal CT scan image noise on variations in the percentage of ASIR with p -alues less than 0.001. Noise decreased with increasing percentage ASIR. The highest noise value is 15.34 at ASIR 0% while the lowest noise is 8.57 at ASIR 80%. There are differences in anatomical image information on the variation of ASIR with p-values less than 0.001. The percentage ASIR of 40% is the optimal ASIR value for displaying CT images of abdominal with mean rank of 3.46.

Abstract

One method to prevent caries prevalence is by breaking the chain of caries causes. Bacteria as an agent of caries decay can be diminished. Utilization of waste in nature is more valuable. Extraction of shell of squid and shrimp can be proceeded as Chitosan. Chitosan contain antibacterial agent based on many researches. Aim of this research to formulate mouth wash contain chitosan and its influences on plaque index and pH saliva after rinsing. Chitosan mouth wash formulation is by dissolving chitosan powder on aquadest and added chemical agent as flavour, coloring and solvent. Research subyek was 10 students, cross over rinsing with chitsan mouth wash and control mouth wash. Rinsing was done every day at morning and night after tooth brushing for 5 days. Plaque index and pH saliva measured first day before rinsing and last day. Subyek’s compliance was determined by volume of mouth wash rest in the bottle at last day research. Washing out time was five days before the next five days for another mouth wash. Research result shown significanly differences on plaque index and pH saliva before nd after rinsing with chitosan mouth wash (p≤ 0,05). Meanwhile there was no significanly differences after rinsing with control group. Raise of pH saliva after rinsing with chitosan mouth wash is higher compared to control grou.ntocaterial agent
