Abstract

This research aimed to describe the abilities of foccusing the question and analyzing the argument using guided inquiry models. The subjects were determined by consideration of the subject teacher based on diversity in cognitive abilities. The subjects were students of class XI IPA3 SMA Negeri 1 Natar Academic Year 2012/2013. This research used the pre-experimental method with one-shot case study design. The results showed that the ability in formulating some criteria to consider the possible answer, high level group, 62,5% were excellent, and 37,5% were good; intermediate level group, 21% were excellent, 54% were good, and 25% were enough; low level group, 40% were good and 60% enough.  The ability identificating the conclusion, high level group;  37,5% were excellent, and 62,5% were good; intermediate level group, 8% were excellent, 71% were good, and 21% were enough; low level group, 30% were good, and 70% were enough. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan memfokuskan pertanyaan dan menganalisis argumen pada materi koloidmenggunakan model pembelajaraninkuiri terbimbing. Subyek penelitian ditentukan dengan pertimbangan guru mata pelajaran berdasarkan keberagaman kemampuan kognitif. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA3 SMAN1 Natar tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain one-shot case study.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan merumuskan kriteria untuk mempertimbangkan jawaban yang mungkin, untuk kelompok tinggi,62,5% berkriteria sangat baik dan 37,5% baik; kelompok sedang, 21% berkriteria sangat baik, 54% baik, dan 25% cukup; kelompok rendah, 40% berkriteria baik dan 60% cukup. Kemampuan mengidentifikasi kesimpulan, untuk kelompok tinggi,37,5% berkriteria sangat baikdan 62,5% baik;kelompok sedang,8% berkriteria sangat baik,71% baik, dan 21% cukup;kelompok rendah,30% berkriteria baik dan 70% cukup. Kata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, koloid, mengidentifikasi kesimpulan, merumuskan kriteria.

Abstract

The research which was conducted using Non Equivalent (Pretest-Postest) Group Design with the aim to describe the effectiviness of increase generating ability on salt hidrolysis has been done. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique from all of studentin the 11th grade of MIA at SMA Negeri 3Bandar Lampung for 2014/2015 academic year and it was obtained the MIA4 and MIA5 of the 11th grade. The results showed that average n-Gain of generating ability in salt hydrolysis topic in the control class (0.41) and in experiment class (0.56) was different significantly. Based on t-test, it was concluded that scientific approach learning was effective to increase generating ability in salt hydrolysis topic, especially in the questioning and associating, step.Penelitian ini telah dilakukan menggunakan Non Equivalent (Pretest-Postest) Control Group Design dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan generating pada materi hidrolisis garam. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dari seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan diperoleh MIA 4 dan MIA 5 dari kelas XI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan generating pada kelas kontrol (0,41) dan kelas eksperimen (0,56) berbeda secara signifikan. Berdasarkan uji-t, disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan generating pada materi hidrolisis garam yaitu pada tahap menanya dan menalar.Kata kunci: hidrolisis garam, kemampuan generating, pendekatan saintifik

Abstract

This research described the effectiveness of hypnoteaching method to increase student’s skills on creative thinking and notion in solubility and solubility products matter.  Subject of this research was 32 students of XI IPA2 SMAN 13 Bandarlampung in academic years 2011-2012.  This research used the one shot chase study. Effectiveness of hypnoteaching learning was measured based on the increasing affective value before and after aplicated it on difined time. The results showed that it could increased both skills.  The creative thinking increased for the first to fifth observation was 21%, 30%, 34%, 44%, and 48%, changed from low to sufficient level.  It’s mean that just a small amount to limit a half of students mastered its.  The other one, notion skill increased for the first to fifth meeting was 27%, 45%, 61%, 70% and 65%, changed from low to good level. It’s mean that just a small amount to big amount of students mastered its.Keywords: hypnoteaching, creative thinking skill, notion skill, pre-experiment, one-shot chase study

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to increase student’s fluency thinking skills on chemical equilibrium material.  The population of this research was all students in XI science class of SMA Negeri 1 Bangunrejo whose sit in odd semester of academic year 2013-2014 and the samples were XI 1 and XI 2 of science class.  The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique.  The method of the research was quasi-experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  The effectiveness of scientific approach was measured based on the significant difference of n-Gain score between control class and experiment class.  The result of research showed that the average n-Gain score of student’s fluency thinking skills for control class was 0,2462 and 0,5165 for experiment class.  Based on the hypothesis testing, it was known that scientific approach learning was effective to increase student’s fluency thinking skills on chemical equilibrium material.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bangunrejo semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014 dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2.  Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling.  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,2462 dan 0,5165.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Kata kunci: kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan berpikir lancar, pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to develop and produce module solubility and constant solubility product based on the multiple representation, to describe the characteristic of the module, the responses of teacher and students, obstacles encountered and supporting factors in the development of module solubility and constant solubility product based on the multiple representation. In this study, the research uses the method of research and development (RD). Based on the result of questionnaire about the module on aspects of content suitability to curriculum, and graphics by teacher as respondent obtained result percentage respectively 90% and 93% with a very high criteria.  Result of responses questionnaire about readability aspects with students as respondent obtained result 85,32% with a very high criteria.  Based on the result, it can be concluded that the developed module has very high quality which were attractive, appropriate with material, and readable.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan modul kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan berbasis multipel representasi, mendeskripsikan karakteristik modul, tanggapan guru dan siswa, kendala-kendala dan faktor-faktor pendukung dalam pengembangan modul kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan berbasis multipel representasi ini.  Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD).  Berdasarkan hasil angket tanggapan terhadap modul pada aspek kesesuaian isi, dan grafika dengan guru sebagai responden diperoleh persentase masing-masing 90% dan 93% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Hasil angket tanggapan terhadap aspek keterbacaan modul dengan siswa sebagai responden diperoleh hasil 85,23% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Berdasarkan tanggapan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas yang sangat tinggi yaitu menarik, sesuai materi, dan terbaca dengan jelas. Kata kunci:kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, modul, multipel representasi.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the validity, practicallity, and effectiveness of student worksheets using discovery learning model on topic of Bohrs atomic theory as development product. This research was conducted by using Research and Development (RD) method, until the revision step after preliminary field testing. Student worksheets validation by experts has done by three validators. The preliminary field testing was conducted in the 10th grade of MIA4 at SMA Negeri 1 Kalianda to know the practicality and effectiveness of student worksheets. The result showed that this student worksheets have high validity, practice, and effective.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan lembar kerja siswa dengan model discovery learning pada materi teori atom Bohr yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) sampai pada tahap revisi setelah uji coba terbatas. Validasi oleh ahli terhadap LKS hasil pengembangan dilakukan oleh tiga orang validator. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada siswa kelas X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Kalianda untuk melihat kepraktisan dan keefektifan LKS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas yang tinggi, praktis dan efektif.Kata kunci: discovery learning, LKS, teori atom bohr

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning model in solubility and solubility product concept to enhance skill in answering questions.  Students who became the subject of this research was  XI grade of Science 1 Batanghari Senior High School in Batanghari Academic Year 2011/2012. This research used the pre-experimental method and one group pretest-posttest design.  The effectiveness of problem solving learning model was determined based on the average value of n-Gain.  The results of this research showed that the average value of n-Gain of skills in answering questions about definition and why were 0,7 and 0,33.  Thus, it can be concluded that the problem solving learning model in solubility and solubility product concept effective to enhance answering question about definition was in high category and answering whyquestion was in medium category.Keywords: problem solving learning, answering questions skills.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the effectiveness of  model of problem solving which was effective in increasing of classifying and communicate skill in the subject of non electrolyte and electrolyte. The samples of this research were the students of SMAN 1 Talang Padang class X2 and X3 at even semester year of 2012-2013. This research used quasi experiment method by Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) control group design. The result of this research showed the average of classifying skill n-Gain for control class and experimental class were 0,27 and 0,62 and the average of communicate skill n-Gain for control class and experimental class were 0,28 and 0,74. Based on hypothesis testing, it was known that the class which used model of problem solving had higher classifying and communicate skill than the class which used conventional learning. It showed that model of problem solvingwas effective in increasing the classifying and concluding skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model problem solving yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan mengkomunikasikan pada materi larutan non elektrolit dan elektrolit. Sample dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 1 Talang Padang kelas X2 dan X3 semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2012-2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengelompokkan untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,27 dan 0,62  dan rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengkomunikasikan untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,28 dan 0,74. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diketahui bahwa kelas dengan model problem solving memiliki keterampilan mengelompokkan dan mengkomunikasikan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan mengkomunikasikan.Kata kunci:   keterampilan, mengelompokkan, mengkomunikasikan, model, problem solving

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach based student worksheets in improving science process skills (SPS) insight from students cognitive. The method of this research was quasi experimental with 2x2 factorial design. The population of this research was all students of XI IPA SMAN 15 Bandarlampung on 2016/2017. The sample were XI IPA-4 and the XI IPA 2 which taken by purposive sampling. The data of this study were analyzed by using two ways ANOVA test and t test. The result of this research was no interaction between learning with scientific approach based worksheets and cognitive on SPS; learning process using student worksheets scientific approach was effective to improve SPS; SPS high and low cognitive ability with learning using worksheets Scientific Approach wass higher than conventional worksheets; SPS high cognitive ability was higher than low cognitive ability with learning using worksheets scientific approach.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas LKS pendekatan ilmiah dalam meningkatkan KPS berdasarkan kognitif siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 15 Bandarlampung tahun 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian ini kelas XI IPA 4 dan kelas XI IPA 2 yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji two ways ANOVA dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran menggunakan LKS terhadap KPS berdasarkan kemampuan kognitif, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS pendekatan ilmiah efektif untuk meningkatkan KPS, KPS siswa kognitif tinggi dan rendah dengan pembelajaran menggunakan LKS pendekatan ilmiah lebih tinggi dibandingkan LKS konvensional, KPS siswa kognitif tinggi lebih tinggi dibandingkan KPS siswa kognitif rendah menggunakan LKS pendekatan ilmiah.Kata kunci: LKS, Pendekatan ilmiah, KPS, kemampuan kognitif

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of students book of buffer solution based on chemical representation to improve students conceptual understanding. The matching only pretest and posttest control group design was used in this research. The population of this research were all students of grade XI Science Al-Kautsar Senior High School Bandar Lampung in academic year 2016/2017, and the samples were XI Science 3 as control class and XI Science 5 as experiment class which obtained by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments that used were syllabus and RPP for experiment class, and pretest posttest questions. Data analyzed by using t-test. The result showed that mean of n-gains category in experiment class was in high category and posttest score of students conceptual understanding in experiment class was higher than control class. The conclusion was the learning using students book based on chemical representation was effective to improve students conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas buku siswa larutan penyangga berbasis representasi kimia dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. The matching only pretest and posttest control group design digunakan pada penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017, dan sampel dalam penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah silabus dan RPP kelas eksperimen dan soal pretes postes. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kategori nilai rata-rata n-gain di kelas eksperimen tinggi dan nilai postes pemahaman konsep siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran menggunakan buku siswa berbasis representasi kimia efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa.Kata kunci : larutan penyangga, pemahaman konsep, buku siswa berbasis representasi kimia
