Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics, validity, teacher and student responses to developed LKS.  The method used in this research is Borg and Gall research and development method which is done until the first 5 stages. This research was conducted by involving teachers and students in Senior High School in Bandarlampung. Expert validation results on content conformity, construction, and legibility aspect consecutively are 86.85%, 92.10% and 85,36%, so it is valid. The percentage of teachers' response on contentness, readability, and construction aspects consecutively are 88.85%, 93.15%, and 88.46%, with very high criteria. Percentage of student responses on aspects of attractiveness and readability consecutively are  93.69%, and 94.36% with very high criteria. Based on these results then this LKS is valid to be used as one of the learning media in school especially in colligative properties of solution material.Keywords: LKS, everyday life phenomena, coligative properties of solution  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik, validitas, tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dilakukan sampai 5 tahap pertama.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan guru dan siswa SMA di Bandarlampung. Hasil validasi ahli pada aspek kesesuaian  isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan diperoleh persentase berturut-turut sebesar 86,85%, 92,10%, dan 85,36%, sehingga dinyatakan valid. Persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kontruksi berturut-turut sebesar 88,85%, 93,15%, dan 88,46%, dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Persentase tanggapan siswa pada aspek kemenarikan dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 93,69%, dan  94,36% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka LKS ini layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran di sekolah khususnya pada materi sifat koligatif larutan.Kata Kunci : LKS, everyday life phenomena, sifat koligatif larutan

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectivity of problem solving learning to increase students fluency thinking ability on the reaction rate of chemistry subject. This research used Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was choosen using purposive sampling. Population of the research was tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gedongtataan at first semester in the 2014/2015 year, and the sample were, XI science 3 and XI science 4. The effectivity of problem solving learning was analyzed based on the differences of significant n-Gain between experiment and control classes. The results showed that the average n-Gain score in experimental and control were 0,63 and 0,39. Based on hyphothesis test, it can be concluded that problem solving learning is effective to increase students fluency thinking ability through rate of reaction.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir lancar pada materi laju reaksi. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gedongtataan semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 dan sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA3 dan X IPA4. Efektivitas pembelajaran problem solving diukur berdasarkan perbedaann-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir lancar pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,63 dan 0,39. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir lancar pada materi laju reaksi .Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir lancar, model problem solving, laju reaksi

Abstract

The pre-experiment research was conducted in SMA N 1 Natar for 2015/2016 academic year with aim to describe the effectiveness and effect size of Guided Inquiry Learning model to improve studentt self efficacy and concept mastery on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution topic. The research used the one group pretest-posttest design with the 10th grade- 7 as sample class where it was obtained by using cluster random sampling. The data research was analyzed descriptively. Based on it, the results shown that the effectiveness of Guided Inquiry Learning model had high criteria had small effect size to students self efficacy, and big effect size to students concept mastery. Penelitian pre-eksperimen telah dilakukan di SMAN 1 Natar. Tahun Ajaran 2015/ 2016 dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan keefektivan dan ukuran pengaruh model Inkuiri Terbimbing dalam meningkatkan efikasi diri dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design dengan kelas X7sebagai kelas sampel yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Analisis data pada penelitian ini merupakan analisis deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas model Inkuiri Terbimbing memiliki kriteria tinggi dan memiliki ukuran pengaruh yang kecil terhadap efikasi diri dan ukuran pengaruh yang besar terhadap penguasaan konsep.Kata kunci: efikasi diri, inkuiri terbimbing, keefektivan, penguasaan konsep, ukuran pengaruh

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach in improving the student’s problem sensitivity in electrolyte and non electrolyte solution subject matter.  The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design.  The population of this research was students of class X SMA N 5 Bandarlampung in even semester of academic year 2013-2014.  Sampling was taken by purposive sampling and obtained class X2 as experimental class and X3 as control class.  The effectiveness of scientific approach in the learning was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between experiment and control class.  The results showed that the average of  problem sensitivity’s n-Gain of control class and experiment class were 0,37 and 0,59 respectively.  The result of hypothesis testing showed that scientific approach was effective in improving the student’s problem sensitivity in electrolyte and non electrolyte subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam meningkatkan kepekaan siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA N 5 Bandarlampung semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas X2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X3 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada pembelajaran ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan  antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain  kepekaan untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing sebesar 0,37 dan 0,59.  Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ilmiah efektif dalam meningkatkan kepekaan siswa pada pembelajaran larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.Kata kunci: kepekaan siswa, larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit, pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract

This research which use quasi-experimental with non equivalent control group design was aimed to describe the discovery learning model in increasing students flexibility thinking skills on reaction rates topic. From all of students in the MIA of the 11th grade at SMA Negeri 5 Metro on the even semester 2014-2015 academic year was obtained the MIA1 and MIA3 of the 11th grade as sample by using purposive sampling. The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain in the control and experiment a classes statistically. The results showed that the average n-Gain in the control and experiment classes 0.35 and 0.47 respecttively. Based on statistical analysis using t-test, the discovery learning model was said effective in increasing students flexibility thinking skills on reaction rates topic.Penelitian yang menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Non equivalent Control Group Design ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa pada materi laju reaksi. Dari seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 5 Metro semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2014-2015 diperoleh kelas XI MIA1 dan kelas XI MIA3 sebagai sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Keefektifan model discovery learning ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan n-Gain keterampilan berpikir luwes yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen secara statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir luwes pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen yaitu 0,35 dan 0,47. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, didapat kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa pada materi laju reaksi.Kata kunci: discovery learning, keterampilan berpikir luwes, materi laju reaksi.

Abstract

The low-creative critical thinking skill of the student is because many schools use low-level abilities in learning. The use of problem solving model in the learning is one of the efforts for practice the critical thinking skill students. This research aimed to describe the problem solving model that are effective in improving the basic support and advance clarification skill. This research using a quasi-experimental methods with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research is students of State Senior High School Fransiskus Bandar Lampung and obtained X4 and X5 class in odd semester of school year 2012-2013 that have similar characteristics. Effectiveness of problem solving model measured on the difference and the improvement of a significant gain. The results showed the average value of n-Gain basic support for experiment class and control class are 0.64 and 0.53, and the average value of n-Gain advance clarification skill for experiment class and control class are 0.75 and 0.56. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the problem solving model effective in improving basic support and advance clarification skill.Keywords: problem solving model, basic support, and advance clarification   skill.

Abstract

This reseach aimed to develop student worksheets based on chemical representation about reduction oxidation reaction; identify the characteristics of developed student worksheets; identify the responses of teachers and students to ward developed student worksheets; and identify the obstacles faced in developing the student worksheets. The reseach used Reseach and Development method from Gall and Borg (1989). The results showed that teacher response of the developed student worksheets in the content’s suitability aspect was 92,63%, the readable aspect was 92,38%, and the attraction aspect was 87,00%. On the other hand,  the results showed that students response the developed student worksheets in the readable aspect was 85,33% and the attraction aspect was 86,00%. Based on result, it can be concluded that student worksheets has very high quality which were attractive, appropriate with material, and readable. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis representasi kimia tentang reaksi oksidasi reduksi; mengidentifikasi karakteristik LKS yang dikembangkan; mengidentifikasi tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan; dan mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan LKS tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan menurut Gall Borg (1989). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tanggapan guru terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan pada aspek kesesuain isi sebesar 92,63%, aspek keterbacaan sebesar 93,38%, dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 87,00%. Sedangkan menurut tanggapan siswa pada aspek keterbacaan sebesar 85,33% dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 86,00%. Berdasarkan tanggapan tersebut dapat disimpulkan LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas sangat tinggi yaitu telah menarik, sesuai dengan materi, dan terbaca dengan jelas.Kata kunci : lembar kerja siswa, reaksi oksidasi reduksi, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research aimed to develop textbook on addictives and addictive-psychotropic material that have religious content and enviromental awareness; to describe the characteristics; to describe the teacher and student responses,and to describe the problems in developing the textbook.  This research method was research and development from Sugiyono (2008).  Based on teacher responses of  the developed textbook in the content’s suitability aspect was very high (84,44%), and the attractiveness aspect was very high (85%).  Based on student responses of  the developed textbook in the readable aspect was very high (87,85%).  Based on result, it can be concluded that textbook has very high quality which were attractive, appropriate with material, and readable. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan, mendeskripsikan karakteristik, mendeskripsikantanggapan guru dan siswa, serta mendeskripsikan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan buku ajar.  Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan dari Sugiyono (2008).  Berdasarkan tanggapan guru terhadap buku ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek kesesuaian isi sangat tinggi yaitu 84,44%, dan aspek kemenarikan sangat tinggi yaitu 85%.  Berdasarkan tanggapan siswa terhadap buku ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek keterbacaan sangat tinggi yaitu 87,85%.  Berdasarkan tanggapan tersebut dapat disimpulkan buku ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas sangat tinggi yaitu menarik, sesuai dengan materi, dan terbaca dengan jelas. Kata kunci: buku ajar, nilai ketuhanan dan cinta lingkungan, zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the validity of knowledge assessment instrument on Bohrs atomic theory and quantum mechanics atomic theory topic. This assessment instrument used multiple choice form test which considering the reliability, validity, level of difficulty, discrimination power, distractors power, sensitivity, and practicability by teachers and students responses. The RD method was used in this reseach. This assessment instrument was valid based on expert judgement on content suitability, readability, and construction aspects, and it was said practicable based on teachers and students responses where all aspects of it was categorized as high. The empirical testing showed that this assessment instrument have high level of reliability, modest validity, modest level of difficulty, high discrimination power, good distractors, and less sensitive.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas instrumen asesmen pengetahuan pada materi teori atom Bohr dan mekanika kuantum. Asesmen berupa soal pilihan jamak dengan memperhatikan reliabilitas, validitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, daya pengecoh dan sensitivitas soal, serta kepraktisan menurut respon guru dan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode RD. Instrumen asesmen ini dikatakan valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli terhadap aspek keterbacaan, konstruksi, dan kesesuaian soal dengan materi, dan instrumen asesmen dikatakan praktis berdasarkan respon guru dan siswa dimana semua aspek termasuk kategori tinggi. Uji empiris menunjukkan asesmen memiliki nilai reliabilitas tinggi, tingkat kesukaran soal sedang, daya beda soal tinggi, daya pengecoh opsi jawaban berfungsi baik, validitas butir sedang dan sensitivitas soal kurang sensitif.Kata kunci: instrumen asesmen, reliabilitas, teori atom bohr dan mekanika kuantum

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe effectiveness of advance organizer learning model in improving skill in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion. Subject in this research was Grade XI students in classroom IPA3 in State Senior High School 7 in Bandar Lampung in even semester of academic year 2011-2012. This research used pre-experiment method with One-group Pretest-posttest design. Effectiveness of advance organizer learning model was indicated by improvement of n-gain values of pretest and posttest. The n-gain estimation results were subsequently interpreted with n-gain index suggested by Hake. The research results showed that the averages of ­n-gain of skill in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion were 0.55 (middle category) and 0.47 (middle category) respectively. The conclusion is that the advance organizerlearning model is effective in improving skills of expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion.Keywords: advance organizer learning model, skills in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion
