Abstract

This research aimed to describe the abilities of answering questions of what your main point and why on the colloid subject using problem solving models for high, intermediate and low level cognitive group of students. The subjects were students of class XI IPA5 SMA Negeri 1 Natar Academic Year 2012/2013. This research used the pre-experimental method, one-shot case studydesign, and descriptive research. The results showed that the ability answering question of what your main point in high level group, 60% were excellent, and 40% were good; intermediate level group, 15% were excellent, 40% were good, and 45% were enough; low level group, 10% were good, 60% enough, and 30% were less.  The ability answering question of why in high level group, 60% were excellent, and 40% were good; intermediate level group, 15% were excellent, 45% were good, and 40% were enough; low level group, 40% were good, and 60% were enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan apa alasan utama anda dan mengapa pada materi koloid menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving untuk siswa kelompok kognitif tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA5 SMA Negeri 1 Natar tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen, desain one-shot case study, dan analisis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan apa alasan utama anda, untuk kelompok tinggi, 60% berkriteria sangat baik, dan 40% baik; kelompok sedang, 15% berkriteria sangat baik, 40% baik, dan 45% cukup; kelompok rendah, 10% berkriteria baik, 60% cukup, dan 30% kurang. Abstract

The aim of this research was to develop the student worksheets based on conceptual change on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution topic. This research used research and development method (RD). The student worksheets which were developed has characteristics that able to trained students to construct the right concept to avoid the misconception. The results of expert validation, the percentage of suitability the content was 79.69%, readability aspect was 87.24%, and contructions aspect was 83.13% in the high and very high category. Teacher’s respons to the suitability of content, readability, and construction aspect has very high category. Based on students’ responses of readability and attractiveness aspect have very high category. It was concluded that the student worksheets is valid and proper to use.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis perubahan konseptual pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD). LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik yang mampu melatihkan siswa untuk membangun konsep yang sesuai sehingga siswa terhindar dari miskonsepsi. Hasil validasi ahli, persentase pada aspek kesesuaian isi sebesar 79.69%, aspek keterbacaan sebesar 87.24%, dan aspek konstruksi sebesar 83.13% dikategorikan tinggi dan sangat tinggi. Tanggapan guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan konstruksi berkategori sangat tinggi.  Berdasarkan tanggapan siswa pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan juga memiliki kategori yang sangat tinggi.  Dengan demikian LKS dapat dikatakan valid dan layak untuk digunakan.Kata kunci:  LKS, perubahan konseptual, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit

Abstract

This quasi experimental research using the matching only pretest-posttest control group design aimed to describe the effectiveness of Science Process Skills (SPS) oriented students worksheets in increasing students SPS at reaction rate topic. Population in this research was all students of XI IPA at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung in 2016/2017 academic year. The sample were obtained by total sampling technique with XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and XI IPA 2 as a control class. The data analysis techniques used in this research were the calculation of pretest value, posttest value, and n-gain of students SPS. The results revealed that the posttest average value of the students in the experimental class was higher than control class. Moreover, the average of students n-gain in experimental class and control class were 0.53 (medium criteria) and 0.30 (medium criteria), respectively. It can be concluded that the SPS oriented students worksheets were effective to improve students SPS.Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the matching only pretest-posttest control group design bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas LKS berorientasi KPS dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa pada materi laju reaksi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel diperoleh dengan teknik sampling total dengan kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perhitungan nilai pretes, postes, dan n-gain KPS siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, rata-rata n-gain siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut sebesar 0,53 (kriteria sedang) dan 0,30 (kriteria sedang). Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berorientasi KPS efektif dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, laju reaksi, LKS

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe effectiveness of effectiveness predict-observe-explain(POE) learning model in oxidation-reduction reaction material in improving skill in predict and classifying. The effectiveness of the POE learning model in this research is indicated by the significant difference between experiment classroom and control classroom.Population in this research was all 105 grade X students in Paramarta 1 Seputih Senior High School in academic year 2011-2012 which were distributed in classroom X1, X2, and X3. Samples in this research were classroom X1 as the experiment classroom using POE learning model and classroom X2 as control using conventional learning. Samples were taken using purposive sampling. The research results showed that the n-gain average value of skill in predict in control and experiment classrooms were 0.30 and 0.46 respectively, and the n-gain average value for skill in classifying for control and experiment classrooms were 0.37 and 0.64 respectively.Results of hypothesis test showed that classroom with POE learning model had higher skills in predict and classifying compared with control classroom. This indicated that POE learning model was more effective to improve skills in predict and classifying.  Keywords: predict-observe-explain (POE), skills in predict and classifying

Abstract

The study aims to describe (1) the existence of the average difference between the value of mastery of concepts hydrocarbon type STAD cooperative learning model along with problem posing strategies with conventional learning, (2) the average value of mastery of concepts which higher hydrocarbons between cooperative learning model types STAD with problem posing strategies with conventional learning. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung academic year 2011/2012. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The samples in this study were 30 students of class X1 as a class experiment 1 and 30 X7-class students as a class experiment 2. The study design used was The Matching-Only Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The results showed that (1) there is a difference between the students 'mastery of concepts Hydrocarbon type STAD cooperative learning strategies with problem posing and conventional learning and (2) the average students' mastery of concepts Hydrocarbons using STAD cooperative learning model type with problem posing strategy is higher than the average student mastery of concepts in hydrocarbon material using conventional learning.Keywords: type STAD cooperative learning strategies with problem posing, conventional learning, mastery of concepts

Abstract

This research was aimed to describes the relation between self efficacy and ability literacy chemical in acid base learning using the SiMaYang Model. All of students in the 11th grade of XI IPA 5 at senior high school in Bandarlampung as a sample which amounted to 32 students and selected using cluster random sampling. The research method used was survey method with correlation research design. The result of this research showed that there were correlation between self efficacy and ability literacy chemical in acid base learning using the SiMaYang Model was medium, positive and significant.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan  hubungan self-efficacy terhadap kemampuan literasi kimia siswa pada materi asam basa menggunakan model pembelajaran SiMaYang. Semua siswa di kelas XI IPA 5 pada SMA di Bandarlampung sebagai sampel yang terdiri dari 32 siswa dan dipilih menggunakan cluster random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survey dengan desain penelitian korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara self efficacy dan kemampuan literasi kimia dalam pembelajaran asam basa menggunakan model SiMaYang yang tergolong sedang, positif, dan signifikan. Kata Kunci: kemampuan literasi kimia, self efficacy,  SiMaYang

Abstract

Abstract: This research was describing the effectiveness of project based-learning on recycling of waste cooking oil in improving students' creative thinking skills. The method applied was a quasi-experimental with the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population were all students of class XI sciense in SMA 14 Bandar Lampung.  The technique was done by using purposive sampling, experimental class (XI science 6) and as the control class (XI science 4). Data analysis used parametric statistical tests which belonged to t-test and n-gain calculation. The results that average of posttest value  in the experimental class was higher than  control class, and the average of n-gain in the experimental class was in moderate category it can be concluded that waste cooking oil recycling project based learning is effective in improving students' creative thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis proyek daur ulang minyak jelantah dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian the matching only pretest-posttest control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri 14 Bandarlampung. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, kelas eksperimen (XI MIA 6) dan kelas kontrol (XI MIA 4).  Teknik analisis data yaitu uji statistik parametrik uji t  dan perhitungan n-gain.  Hasil penelitian ini nilai rata-rata postes siswa dikelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol serta n-gain rata-rata dikelas eksperimen berkategori sedang sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek daur ulang minyak jelantah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir kreatif, limbah minyak jelantah, pembelajaran berbasis proyek

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectivity of guided inquiry student on basic postulates of chemistry.in concept mastery. This research used quasi experiment method with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel was decided by using purposive sampling technique. Sample in this research was Senior High School 1Kotaagung with X4 as experiment class and X3 as control class. The effectivity ofguided inquiry learning model was measured based on n-Gain significant differentiation between student mastery concept in control class and experiment class.The result of this research showed that n-Gain average of student concept mastery in experiment class and n-Gain in control class was 0,28 and 0,62. Based on hypothesistesting with t-test, it concluded that guided inquiry was effective in increasing learning student concept mastery on basic postulates of chemistry. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi hukum-hukum dasar kimia dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non-Equivalent (Pretes-Posttes) Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA SMA N 1 Kotaagung, kelas X IPA4 sebagai eksperimen dan kelas X IPA3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling. Efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain penguasan konsep siswa yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain penguasaan konsep untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,62 dan 0,28. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, didapat kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi hukum-hukum dasar kimia.Kata kunci: hukum-hukum dasar kimia, meningkatkan penguasaan konsep, model inkuiri terbimbing

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of POE learning model in improving the ability of flexibility thinking on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution topics in X class of SMA Kosgoro Bandar Sribawono. The quasi exspeiment was used as research methode and purposive technique used for choosing sample. This research sample was X1 as experimental class and X2 as the control class. The effectiveness of POE learning model was showed by the significant difference for average n-Gain of flexible thinking ability between the experiment and control class. Average n-Gain for the control class was 0,44 and experiment class was 0,56. This effectiveness was also supported by the practicality and effectivity test of POE learning models that showed very high criteria. Therefore, POE learning model is effective in improving the flexibility thinking ability on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution topic.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran POE untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bepikir luwes siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit kelas X SMA Kosgoro Bandar Sribawono. Kuasi eksperimen digunakan sebagai metode penelitian dan purposive sampling digunakan untuk pemilihan sampel. Kelas sampelnya adalah kelas X1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Efektivitas dalam pembelajaran ini ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan n-gain rata-rata kemampuan berpikir luwes yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas kontrol sebesar 0,44 dan eksperimen sebersar 0,56. Keefektifan juga didukung oleh uji kepraktisan dan keefektifan model POE yang ditunjukkan dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Oleh karena itu penggunaan model pembelajaran POE dapat dikatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir luwes pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.Kata kunci:efektivitas, kemampuan berpikir luwes, model pembelajaran POE.

Abstract

This research aims to describe discovery learning model in increasing the concept mastery and inferring ability on basic postulates of chemistry. Sampel in this research was experiment class (X2) and control class (X1) in SMA Utama 2 Bandar Lampung. This research used quasi-experiment method with Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The effectivity of discovery learning model was measured based on significant n-Gain differentiation between experiment class and control class, use two average differentiate test. The result of this research showed by n-Gain average of concept mastery with 0,66 for experiment class and 0,45 for control class and n-Gain average of inferring ability was 0,68 for experiment class and 0,52 for control class. Based on hypothesis testing with two mean difference test ( t-test ), it concluded that discovery learning model was effective in increasing concept mastery and inferring ability on Basic Postulates of Chemistry.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan menyimpulkan pada materi hukum-hukum dasar kimia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Utama 2 Bandar Lampung semester ganjil Tahun 2013-2014 dengan kelas X2 dan kelas X1 sebagai sampel. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen melalui Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen dan kontrol sebesar 0,66 dan 0,45 sedangkan rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan menyimpulkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,68 dan 0,52. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata (uji-t), disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan menyimpulkan pada materi hukum-hukum dasar kimia.Kata kunci: kemampuan meyimpulkan, model discovery learning, penguasaan konsep
