Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effect of scaffolding in SiMaYang learning to increase metacognition ability and students concept mastery on redoks topic. This research was applied pretest-postest control group design and it was conducted at SMAN 10 Bandarlampung with cluster random sampling technique so that selected 10th MIA-6 class as experiment class and 10th MIA-3 class as control class. The effect of scaffolding in SiMaYang learning was measured by implementation of scaffolding, implementation of SiMayang learning, metacognition ability and students concept mastery were used difference of two average test and effect size test. The result show that scaffolding strategy in SiMaYang learning has a big effect to improving metacognition ability and students concept mastery on reduction-oxidation topic with in high category of n-gain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pengaruh strategi scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi redoks. Penelitian dilakukan dengan peretest-postest control grup design di SMAN 10 Bandarlampung dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Kelas X MIA 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengaruh strategi scaffolding diukur berdasarkan keterlaksanaan scaffolding, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran SiMaYang, kemampuan metakognisi dan penguasaan konsep yang ditentukan dengan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata dan uji effect size . Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang berpengaruh besar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi redoks dengan kriteria n-gain tinggi.Kata kunci: metakognisi, penguasaan konsep, scaffolding, SiMaYang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model in improving the skills mentioned examples and identified conclusion in reaction rate material. Subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA2 SMAN 2 Gadingrejo totaling 34 people, consisting of 14 male students and 20 female students. This study used a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Research cite skills mentioned examples and identified conclusion, data analysis used N-gain. The results showed n-Gain skills and identify examples mentioned conclusion is 0.63 (medium category) and persentation KKM 75%, identified conclusion is 0.66 (medium category) and persentatiaon KKM 85%. Based on the difference test,  this suggests learning guided inquiry model is effective in improving the skills mentioned examples and identify conclusions class XI IPA2 reaction rate on the material. Keywords: guided inquiry, the skills mentioned examples and skills identified conclusion, reaction rate

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of the problem solving  learning model on the reaction rate concept in improving induces skill and consider the results of induction which includes  conclude accordance with the facts skill and conclude the results of investigate. The effectiveness of problem solving is measured on the difference n-Gain that significantly between experiment class and control classes.This Research using  a quasi experiment method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The population in this research is all of the  students class XI IPA of SMAN 7 Bandar Lampungin odd semester in the year of 2012-2013. The results showed that the problem solving model learning is effective increases conclude according the facts skill and conclude from the results investigate in the reaction rate concept.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving pada materi laju reaksi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menginduksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi yang meliputi keterampilan menarik kesimpulan sesuai fakta dan menarik kesimpulan dari hasil menyelidiki.  Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving diukur dengan per-bedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan  nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pemilihan sampel yang digunakan yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2012-2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model problem solvingefektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menginduksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi yang meliputi keterampilan menarik kesimpulan sesuai fakta dan menarik kesimpulan dari hasil menyelidiki pada materi laju reaksi.Kata kunci : keterampilan menginduksi, laju reaksi, model pembelajaran problem  solving

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of the students' reasoning and critical thinking skills through dental erosion problem based learning. The samples were taken using purposive sampling technique and obtained XI MIA 3 as experiment class and XI MIA 9 as control class. The enhancement of reasoning ability and students' critical thinking skills is determined by the n-gain of reasoning ability and critical thinking skills of students tested statistically by t test. The results showed that dental erosion problem based learning can improve students' reasoning ability and critical thinking skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah erosi email gigi.  Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 9 sebagai kelas kontrol di SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung.  Peningkatan kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa ditentukan dari n-gain kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang diuji secara statistik dengan uji t.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah erosi email gigi mampu meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata kunci : pembelajaran berbasis masalah, erosi email gigi, keterampilan berpikir kritis, kemampuan penalaran

Abstract

This research was done to describe the effectiveness of using LKPD based on discovery learning to improve students collaboration skill and concepts mastery of the material equation of the rate and reaction order. A quasi experimental was used in this research which the design is a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this research was XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class and XI MIPA 2 as a control class, it was taken with a purposive sampling technique. The improvement of the students can be seen from the average n-Grain scores and based on effect size of collaboration skill and concept mastery through LKPD based on discovery learning. The results showed that the n-Grain scores of collaboration skill and concept mastery through LKPD based on discovery learning improved significantly with conventional learning. It can be concluded that students collaboration skil and concept mastery of the material equation of the rate and reaction order through LKPD based on discovery learning is effective. Besides, another result of LKPD based on discovery learning showed that there was a moderate in students collaboration skill and there was a huge in students of concept mastery.Keywords: the effectiveness, LKPD based discovery learning, collaboration skills, mastery of concepts.

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop interactive e-book and describe its characteristics and validity as well as to describe the teachers and students responses to the product. This research used Borg and Gall method of research and development with only focused on the first five stages. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis. The expert validation showed that the average percentage on content suitability aspect was 97.5% with very high criteria, while construction and readability aspects were 71.4% and 77.26% respectively with high criteria. The average percentage of teachers responses on content suitability, construction, and readability aspects were 100%, 92.4%, and 91.4% respectively with very high criteria, while students responses on attractiveness and readability aspects were 80.3% and 80.5% respectively with very high criteria. Based on the results, the product generated by this research was valid and worthy as a source of learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan validitas e-book interaktif, serta mendesrkispikan tanggapan guru dan siswa mengenai produk tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang hanya dilakukan sampai lima tahap pertama. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase aspek kesesuaian isi sebesar 97,5% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, sedangkan aspek konstruksi dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 71,4% dan 77,26% dengan kriteria tinggi. Rata-rata persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 100%, 92,4%, dan 91,4% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, serta rata-rata persentase tanggapan siswa pada aspek kemenarikan dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 80,3% dan 80,5% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, produk yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini valid dan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata kunci: e-book interaktif, ikatan kimia, representasi kimia

Abstract

It had been developed experiment KIT to determine the effect of catalyst on reaction rate using Research and Development (RD) design. Stages that had been done consisted of collecting the information, planning, developing primary form of product, preliminary field testing, and main product revision. Based on the result of expert judgment in validity testing on feasibility of the design and KIT, the function for each component of apparatus to undergraduate students, teachers response on feasibility of apparatus and students' response on the function for each component of apparatus are obtained 100 % which has very high criteria. So, it can be concluded from this study that experiment KIT are valid and feasible so the apparatus can be used in the learning process.Telah dikembangkan KIT praktikum pengaruh katalis terhadap laju reaksi secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain Penelitian dan Pengembangan (RD). Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan antara lain penelitian dan pengumpulan data, perencanaan, pengembangan draft awal, uji coba lapangan awal sampai bagian revisi hasil uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil validasi kelayakan desain, hasil validasi kelayakan alat, hasil uji keberfungsian alat pada mahasiswa, hasil respon guru terhadap kelayakan alat dan hasil respon siswa terhadap keberfungsian alat didapatkan penilaian yaitu 100%, sehingga memiliki kriteria sangat tinggi. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan alat praktikum hasil pengembangan valid dan layak, sehingga alat praktikum dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata kunci: KIT, laju reaksi, pengaruh katalis

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effect of using problem solving based worksheet to improve students creative thinking skills in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution topic. This research used quasi experimental method with Non-Equivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The sample used was cluster random sampling, the class X MIPA 1 was the experimental class and X MIPA 5 was the control class. The result showed that students creative thinking skills were higher in the experimental class compared to the control class. Problem solving based worksheet has an effect in improving students creative thinking skills with huge influence on the experimental class. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that problem solving based worksheet has large influence in improving students creative thinking skills in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution topic.Keywords: problem solving based student worksheet, creative thinking skills, electrolyte and  non-elektrolyte solution.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh LKS berbasis Problem Solving untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment dengan desain Non-Equivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. LKS berbasis problem solving berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan besar pengaruh pada kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis problem solving memiliki pengaruh besar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.Kata kunci: LKS berbasis problem solving, keterampilan berpikir kreatif, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model to increase fluency thinking skills of students in reaction rate of chemistry topic. The population of this research was students of the MIA 9th grade of SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung. The samples were the MIA3 and MIA5 9th grade where they were taken by using purposive sampling. The research used quasi experimental method with non equivalent (pretest and postest) control-group design. The results showed that the average n-Gain of fluency thinking skills of student in control class and experimental class were 0.62 and 0.76, respectively. Based on hypothesis testing concluded that guided inquiry learning model was effective to improve fluency thinking skills of students in reaction rate of chemistry topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi laju reaksi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir lancar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI MIA SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan sampel kelas XI MIA3 dan XI MIA5. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent (pretest and postest) control-group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan berpikir lancar pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,62 dan 0,76. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi laju reaksi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir lancar.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir lancar, laju reaksi, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing

Abstract

The quasi experiment research had been done in SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung for the purpose to compare of SiMaYang type II learning model with Problem Based Learning(PBL)in improving students metacognition ability and self efficacy on topic of electrolyte-non electrolyte. This research used control group pretest-posttest design with the 10th grade-2 and the 10th grade-8 as sample classes which they were obtained by using cluster random sampling. Data research was analyzed descriptively and the results showed that SiMaYang type II learning model has higher value than PBL. It can be concluded that SiMaYang type II learning model is better than PBL in improving students metacognition ability and self efficacy.Penelitian kuasi eksperimen telah dilakukan di SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung yang bertujuan untuk membandingkan model pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II dengan PBL dalam meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan efikasi diri siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain control group pretest-posttest dengan kelas X2 dan kelas X8 sebagai kelas sampel yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Analisis data penelitian adalah analisis deskriptif dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II memiliki nilai yang lebih tinggi dari PBL. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran PBL dalam meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan efikasi diri pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.Kata kunci: efikasi diri, kemampuan metakognisi, PBL, SiMaYang Tipe II
