Abstract

The goal of this research was describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to improve skill to classifying and comunnicating on buffer solution topic. This research used quasi experimental method with a non equivalent control group design. Sampling was performed by using purposive technique with all of the 11th grade student in SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung as population. This research used two classes as control and experimental class which they were obtained from XI MIPA1 dan XI MIPA4 at even semester of academic year 2015-2016. The effectiveness of discovery learning was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between control and experiment classes. The result of hypothesis testing showed that discovery learning model was effective to improve students the skills of classiifying and comunnicating on buffer solution topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan mengomunikasikan pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yang dalam penelitian ini populasinya ialah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA1 dan XI MIPA4 semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2015-2016. Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukkan oleh adanya perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil pengujian hipotesis uji-menunjukkan bahwa model discovery learning pada materi larutan penyangga efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan keterampilan mengomunikasikan.Kata kunci: discovery learning, keterampilan mengelompokkan, keterampilan mengomunikasikan, larutan penyangga

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to improve the flexibility skill in electrolyte and non electrolyte solution learning.  The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Grup Design.  The population of this research was students of grade 10 SMA N 5 Bandarlampung in even semester of academic year 2013-2014.  Sampling was taken by purposive sampling and obtained class X2 as experimental class and X3 as control class.  The effectiveness of scientific approach in the learning was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between experiment and control class.  The results showed that the average of the flexibility skill n-Gain of control class and experiment class were 0,39 and 0,63 respectively.  The results of hypothesis testing showed that scientific approach was effective to improve the flexibility skill in electrolyte and non electrolyte learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dalam meningkatkan keterampilann fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran larutan  elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Grup Design.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA N 5 Bandarlampung semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas X2 sebagai kelas ekperimen dan X3 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada pembelajaran ditunjukkan berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan fleksibilitas untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing sebesar 0,39 dan 0,63.  Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ilmiah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan fleksibilitas pada pembelajaran larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.Kata kunci: keterampilan fleksibilitas, larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit, pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract

The quasi experiment research about the effectivity of scientific approach on buffered solutionsin increasing flexibility thinking ability was conducted by using non equivalent control group design.The 11th grade of MIA1 and MIA3 as the sample classes of this research were obtained from five classes of the 11thgrade of MIA at SMA YP Unila for 2014/2015 academic year. The result of this research showed that the average n-Gain in the experimental class was 0.65 and in the control class was 0.32. Because of the average n-Gain in the experimental and control classes were different statistically, it was concluded that learning with scientific approach on buffer topic was effective in increasing flexibility thinking ability.Penelitian kuasi eksperimen tentang pendekatan ilmiah dengan materi larutan penyangga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir luwes dilakukan dengan desain Non-Equivalent Control Group. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIA1 dan XI MIA3 diperoleh dari lima kelas pada kelas XI MIA SMA YP Unila tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,65 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,32. Karena rata-rata n-Gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda secara statistik, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pem-belajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah pada materi larutan penyangga efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir luwes.Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir luwes, larutan penyangga, pendekatan ilmiah.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the ability of students to give reason and interpreting a statement on the acid-base matery through the application of guided inquiry for students groups of high, intermediate and low level group.  The subjects were students of class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Sribhawono. This research used the pre-experimental method  with a one-shot case study design.  It was a descriptive research.  Based on the result of data analysis summarized that ability of give reasons in high level group: mainly were very good and the others were good .  In  intermediate level group, almost half were enough, mainly were good and the others were very good.  In low level group, almost half were enough, mainly were good and the others were very good.  The ability of interpreting a statement in high level group: mainly were very good and the others were good. In  intermediate level group, just small part were excellent, almost half were good, and the others were enough.  In low level group, just small part were excellent, almost half were good and the others were enough.  Therefore, guided inquiry learning can be developing students' ability to give reasons and interpreting a statement.Kata kunci:  pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, kemampuan memberikan alasan, menginterpretasi suatu pernyataan, kelompok kognitif.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop worksheet and describe the characteristics of the worksheet, worksheet validity, as well as to describe the teachers and students responses to the product. The characteristics of this worksheet are provided by images and videos based on chemical representation and five stage of science procces skill. This research used Borg and Gall design of research and development (R D) with only focused on the first five stage. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis. The expert validation results show that the percentage of content suitability aspects to the curriculum is 95.4% with very high criteria, while construction and readability aspects were 76.19%, 79.86% with high criteria. The percentage of teacher responses on the content suitability, readability, and attractiveness aspects were 100%, 87.44%, and 94.44% with very high criteria, and the percentage of students' responses on aspects of readability and attractiveness were 76.47 % and 79.92% with high criteria. Based on the results, the product generated by this research is valid and worthy to be used as a learning media in school.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan LKS dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik LKS, validitas LKS, tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap produk. Karakteristik LKS berupa gambar dan video berbasis representasi kimia dan dilengkapi oleh 5 tahap dari keterampilan proses sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD) menurut Borg dan Gall dengan fokus pada lima tahap pertama. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa persentase aspek kesesuaian isi terhadap kurikulum sebesar 95,4% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, sedangkan aspek konstruksi dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 76,19%, 79,86% dengan kriteria tinggi. Persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan berturut-turut sebesar 100%, 87,44% , dan 94,44% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, serta persentase tanggapan siswa pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan berturut-turut sebesar 76,47% dan 79,92% dengan kriteria tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, produk yang dihasilkan dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan sebagai media belajar di sekolah.Kata kunci: Interaksi antar partikel, LKS, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research used Research and Development method. The research aimed to describe: (1) the eligibilityof the student worksheets which was measured by the results of expert validation; (2) the practicality of the student worksheets which was measured by feasibility of assessment, the teacher, and students responses; (3) the effectivity of the student worksheets where it was measured by assessment of students activity, the self-efficacy, and increasing of the concepts mastery. The results showed that the student worksheet based on multiple representations using SiMaYang Type II model in acid base solution topic is feasible, practicable, and effective to be used increase the self-efficacy and the concepts mastery of students.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kelayakan LKS yang diukur dari hasil validasi ahli; (2) kepraktisan LKS yang diukur dari penilaian keterlaksanaan, guru, serta respon siswa; dan (3) keefektivan LKS diukur dari hasil penilaian aktivitas siswa, efikasi diri, dan peningkatan penguasaan konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS berbasis multipel representasi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran SiMaYang Tipe II pada materi larutan asam basa layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri dan penguasaan konsep siswa.Kata kunci: asam basa, LKS, SiMaYang

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of advance organizer learning model to enhance the skill of reporting observation result and giving reason skill on the material of solubility and solubility product. The subject in this research were students XI grade of Science 3 SMA N 7 Bandarlampung, Academic Year 2011/2012.  This research used a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The effectiveness of advance organizer learning model was measured by the N-gain mean.  Based on the results of this research, the average of N-gain value for reporting observation result skill is 0,67 and the average of N-gain value for giving reason skill is 0,54. This shows that (1) a model of advance organizer is effective to enhance the skill of reporting observation result in the medium category (2) a model of advance organizeris effective to enhance the skill of giving reason in the medium category.Keywords: Advance Organizer learning model, the observation result report skill and the give reason skill

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of Learning Cycle 6E model to improve inferring skill and koloid concept mastery. This reseach uses Quasi Experimental Method and Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was students of XI science SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung, with XI science 2 class and XI science 4 as samples. The effectiveness of Learning Cycle 6E model was measured based on the difference of a significant N-gain and t test. The results showed that average value of N-gain of concept mastery in experiment and control class were 0.73 and 0.58 respectively; and average value of N-gain for inferring skill in experiment and control class were 0.75 and 0.56 respectively.  Based on t test, it was concluded that learning cycle 6E model could increase inferring skill and koloid concept mastery.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model Learning Cycle 6E dalam meningkatkan keterampilan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep koloid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non equivalent Control Group Design. Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the influence of scaffolding strategy on SiMaYang learning to improve mental model in the learning of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions topic. This research used pretest-posttest control group design with cluster random sampling technique. The population of this research was all of tenth grader science students of SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung, and it was obtained that X IPA 2 as experimental class and X IPA 5 as control class. The treatment on experimental class is scaffolding strategy on SiMaYang learning and control class is SiMaYang learning without scaffolding strategy. The influence of scaffolding strategy on SiMaYang learning was determined by the implementation of lesson plan, scaffolding rubric, and questions of mental model which then calculated by using the difference of two means and effect size test. The results showed that the influence of scaffolding strategy on SiMaYang learning had a large effect to the mental model of the students. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh strategi scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang untuk meningkatkan model mental pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X IPA di SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung, kemudian terpilih sampel X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen adalah strategi scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang dan kelas kontrol adalah pembelajaran SiMaYang tanpa strategi scaffolding. Pengaruh strategi scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang ditentukan berdasarkan keterlaksanaan RPP, rubrik scaffolding, dan tes soal model mental yang selanjutnya dihitung menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata dan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang berpengaruh besar terhadap model mental siswa.Kata kunci: model mental, scaffolding, SiMaYang

Abstract

The apparatus in determining the system types based glassware has been constructed by using research and development design. The functional test of this apparatus was conducted to the first year undergraduated student of chemical education Lampung University and field trial test was conducted to the 11thgrade student of SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. The results showed that the functional test of this apparatus get very high criteria and based on teachers and students responses to suitable of this apparatus also get very high criteria. It can be concluded that the apparatus in determining the system types based glassware has good function and suitable to be used.Telah dikembangkan alat penentuan jenis-jenis sistem berbasis gelas menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan. Uji keberfungsian alat ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Universitas Lampung dan uji coba lapangan awal dilakukan kepada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberfungsian alat ini berkriteria sangat tinggi dan berdasarkan tanggapan guru dan siswa, kelayakan alat juga berkriteria sangat tinggi. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat penentuan jenis-jenis sistem berbasis gelas memiliki keberfungsian yang baik dan layak untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: alat praktikum, gelas, sistem terbuka, sistem terisolasi, sistem tertutup
