Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to increase student’s originality thinking skills on acid-base subject matter. The population of this research was all students grade XI in science class of SMA Negeri 1 Pagelaran at second semester of academic year 2013-2014 with class of XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2 as sample. The method of the research was quasi experimental with Non Equivalent (Pretest-Postest) Control Group Design. The sample were taken by purposive sampling technique. The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between control and experiment class. The result showed that the average n-Gain score for control class and experiment class respectively 0,34 and 0,45. Based on hyphothesis testing using t-test it can be concluded that discovery learning model is effective to increase student’s originality thinking skills on acid-base subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir orisinil siswa pada materi asam-basa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pagelaran semester genap tahun 2013-2014 dengan kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2 sebagai sampel. Metode penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (Pretest-Postest) Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukkan oleh n-Gain keterampilan berpikir orisinil siswa yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir orisinil siswa untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,34 dan 0,45. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata, maka disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model Discovery Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir orisinil siswa pada materi asam-basa.Kata kunci : keterampilan berpikir orisinil, materi asam basa, model discovery learning

Abstract

The purposes of this study that used Research and Development method were to develop interactive e-book of acid base based on chemical representation, describe the characteristic of interactive e-book, and to know teachers and students responses of interactive e-book. The steps in this study were preliminary studies, development and preliminary field testing. After preliminary studies and development, preliminary field testing was conducted at SMAN 5 Metro with purpose to know the teachers and students responses for the suitability of content, graphics and the legability aspects of developed interactive e-book. The percentage of them were 98,46%, 98,00%, and 89,10%, respectively which categorized in very good criteria. Tujuan dari penelitian yang menggunakan metode Research and Development ini adalah untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif asam basa berbasis representasi kimia, dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik e-book interaktif, serta mengetahui respon dari guru dan siswa. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pendahuluan, pengembangan, dan uji coba lapangan awal. Setelah studi pendahuluan dan pengembangan, uji coba lapangan awal dilakukan di SMAN 5 Metro dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui respon guru dan siswa terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, grafika dan keterbacaan e-book interaktif yang dikembangkan. Persentase yang diperoleh dari uji coba tersebut adalah 98,46%, 98%, dan 89,10%, yang masing-masing dikategorikan dalam kriteria sangat baik.Kata kunci : asam basa, e-book interaktif, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the ability of drawing conclusions and applying concepts on the acid-base matery through the application of LC3E for students groups of high, intermediate and low level group. The subjects in this research were students of Grade XI Science 4 Senior High School 12 Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2012/2013.  This research was a descriptive research, used the pre-experimental method  with a one-shot case study design.  Data analysis used descriptive analysis. Based on the result of data analysis summarized that ability of drawing conclusions in high level group: almost half were excellent and the others were good. In  intermediate level group, almost all were good and the others were excellent. In low level group, small part were good enough and the others were good. The ability of applying the concept in high level group: almost all were excellent and the others were good. In  intermediate level group, just small part were excellent, just small part were good enough and the others were good. In low level group, almost half were excellent, almost half were good and the other were good enough.Kata Kunci: learning cycle 3E, kemampuan menarik kesimpulan, menerapkan konsep, kelompok kognitif.

Abstract

This researchaimedtodevelop a textbook based representation of chemical redox reactions, and describe the characteristics, the responses of teachers and students responses to the products developed, and know the obstacles encountered when developing the textbook.  The research methodused was theResearchandDevelopment.  Based on the teachers response to a product developed data showed thatcompliancewith thechemicalcontent ofthe textbookcurriculumwas veryhigh at93,75%,the aspect graph/the attractivenesswas veryhighat 92%, and student responses regarding reading level textbooks developed redox reaction very high at 80,58%.Based on the test results it can be concluded that the redox reaction of textbook based representation chemistry was good enough. It can be seen from the good responses of textbook from teachers and students well. Penelitian ini ber­tujuan untuk mengem­bangkan buku ajar re­aksi redoks berbasis representasi kimia, serta mendeskripsikan karakteristik, tang­­gapan guru dan respon siswa terhadap produk yang dikembangkan, dan me­nge­tahui kendala-kendala yang ditemui ketika mengem­bangkan buku ajar tersebut. Metode pene­litian yang digunakan adalah meto­de Penelitian dan Pengembangan.  Berda­sarkan tanggapan guru terhadap produk yang dikemba­ngkan diperoleh data bahwa kesesuaian isi buku ajar dengan kurikulum sangat ting­gi 93,75%, dan as­pek grafika/kemenarikan buku ajar sangat tinggi 92,00% dan tanggapan siswa me­ngenai tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar reaksi redoks yang dikembangkan ini sa­ngat tinggi80,58%.Berdasarkan hasil uji coba maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar reaksi redoks berbasis representasi kimia yang dikembangkan sudah cukup baik.  Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tanggapan guru dan siswa yang merespon sangat baik pada buku ajar yang dikembangkan.Kata kunci: buku ajar, reaksi redoks, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of NHT learning model to increase the students concept in the chemical bonds topic. This research used quasi experiment method with non-equivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design. Population of this research was students of the 10th grade in SMA Tri Sukses Natar on 2012/2013 academic year. This research used two classes as sample where they were taken by using purposive sampling. The results showed that the average of n-Gain of students concept in experimental and control class were 0.58 and 0.49, respectively. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, NHT learning model was effective to increase students concept in the chemical bonds topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran NHT dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa materi ikatan kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimen non equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Tri Sukses Natar tahun ajaran 2012 /2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 kelas sebagai sampel dimana sampel tersebut ditentukan menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata n-Gain penguasaan konsep siswa untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing 0,58 dan 0,49. Abstract

The study which was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach on acid base topic in increasing generating skill had been done. All of students in the IPA of the 11th grade of SMAN 1 Pringsewu for 2014/2015 academic year were population in this research. The sampel was taken by purposive sampling technique and it was obtained the 11th grade of IPA1 and IPA2 as research class. The method of this research was quasi experiment with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The effectiveness of scientific approach was showed by the difference of n-Gain that was significant. Based on research data, it was obtained the average n-Gain of generating skill in experiment class that was 0.39 and in control class was 0.18. Based on hyphotesis testing result, it was concluded that scientific approach in acid base topic was effective to increase students generating skill.Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada materi asam basa dalam meningkatkan generating skill. Seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 merupakan populasi dalam penelitian ini. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI IPA1 sebagai dan XI IPA2 sebagai kelas penelitian. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah dilihat berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan. Berdasarkan data penelitian, diperoleh rata-rata n-Gain generating skill pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 0,39 dan pada kelas kontrol yaitu 0,18. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the skills of classifying and inferring on colloidal material with application of guided inquiry learning model for high, medium, and low cognitive groups students. The subjects were XI Science 2 of Swadhipa Natar South Lampung 2012/2013. This research was pre-experimental research design with one-shot case study. It used descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the student’s skill in classifying, in high group, 62,5% was excellent; and 37,5% good. In medium group, 20,0% was excellent; 60,0% good; and 20,0% enough. In the low group, 22,2% was good; and 77,7% was enough. For the student’s skill of inferring, in high group, 75,0% was excellent; and 25,0% good. In medium group, 26,6% excellent; 40% good; and 33,3% enough. In the low group, 33,3% good; and 66,6% enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan inferensi pada materi koloid dengan model pembelajaran inkuri terbimbing untuk siswa kelompok kognitif tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Subyek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA2 SMA Swadhipa Natar Lampung Selatan tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan pre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-shot case study. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan keterampilan siswa mengelompokkan, kelompok tinggi 62,5% siswa berkriteria sangat baik; dan 37,5% baik. Kelompok sedang ada 20,0% berkriteria sangat baik; 60,0% baik; dan 20,0% cukup. Kelompok rendah 22,2% berkriteria baik; dan 77,7% cukup. Keterampilan siswa inferensi, kelompok tinggi 75% siswa berkriteria sangat baik; dan 25,0% baik. Kelompok sedang 26,6% berkriteria sangat baik; 40,0% baik; dan 33,3% cukup. Kelompok rendah ada 33,3% berkriteria baik; dan 66,6 % cukup.Kata kunci: inferensi, inkuiri terbimbing, mengelompokkan

Abstract

This research purposes were to describe  characteristic of HOTS knowledge instrument assessment, describe teacher’s response, and describe studens’ response to HOTS knowledge instrument assessment. The research used method of research and development (RD) by Brog Gall, and the research subject was knowledge instrument assessment. The validation result was obtained percentage on aspects in suitability of content, readability, and construction were 92,30%; 88,33%; and 82,00%, respectively. The teacher’s response result was obtained on aspects in suitability of content, readability, and construction were 89,23%; 90%; and 90%, respectively. The results of students’ response to readability were 87.08 %, respectively. The results of this research indicate that knowledge assessment instrument is good and can be used it is seen from the reliability value and validity that have high category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik, tanggapan guru dan respon siswa tehadap isnstrumen asesmen pengetahuan berbasis HOTS.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD) menurut Borg Gall, dengan subyek penelitian adalah instrumen asesmen pengetahuan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli diperoleh persentase penilaian validator pada aspek keterbacaan, konstruk, dan kesesuaian isi sebesar 92,30%; 88,33%; dan 82,00%. Hasil respon guru pada aspek keterbacaan, konstruk, dan kesesuaian isi sebesar 89,23%; 90%; dan 90%.  Hasil respon siswa pada aspek keterbacaan sebesar 87,08%.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen asesmen pengetahuan sudah baik dan dapat digunakan hal ini dilihat dari nilai reliabilitas dan daya beda soal yang memiliki kategori tinggi.Kata kunci: istrumen, asesmen, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

The research was almed to describe the effect of scaffolding strategy in SiMaYang learning to improve the chemical literacy skill and to improve the learning motivation on acid base topic. The research used Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design method in SMAN 6 Metro using Cluster Random Sampling. The result showed that there were 84% improvement of chemical literacy and 76% improvement of students learning motivation in experimental class, influenced by scaffolding and 74% improvement of literacys and 57% improvement of students chemistry learning motivation in control class, influenced by learning without scaffolding. From the results above, it can be concluded that, in the experimental class, scaffolding in SiMaYang learning has big influence in improving the chemical literacy and learning motivation, mean while in the control class, the learning without scaffolding has moderate influence in improving the chemical literacy and learning motivation.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh strategi scaffolding pada pembelajaran SiMaYang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi kimia dan motivasi belajar pada materi asam basa. Metode penelitian ini adalah Pretest-posttest Control Group Design di SMAN 6 Metro dengan Cluster Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 84% peningkatan literasi kimia dan 76% peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dipengaruhi oleh scaffolding dan 74% peningkatan literasi dan 57% peningkatan motivasi belajar kimia siswa pada kelas kontrol dipengaruhi oleh pembelajaran tanpa scaffolding. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh disimpulkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen scaffolding dalam pembelajaran SiMaYang memiliki pengaruh besar dalam meningkatkan literasi kimia dan motivasi belajar, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol pembelajaran tanpa scaffolding memiliki pengaruh sedang dalam meningkatkan literasi kimia dan motivasi belajar.Kata kunci : effect size, literasi kimia, motivasi belajar, scaffolding, SiMaYang

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know effectiveness of problem solving learning in improving skill induct and considerate induction result . Population was 360 students of Grade X State Senior High School 12 in Bandar Lampung. Samples were X1 and X3 classroom. Every class has 38 students that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design. Effectiveness of problem solving learning was measured based on significant n-Gain improvements of showing the general thing and making conclution and hypotesis skill. The both are subindicator of  induction and considerate induction result. The results showed that average value of n-Gain of showing the general thing skill in experiment and control classrooms were 0.4 and 0.28 respectively; and average value of n-Gain for making conclution and hypotesis in experiment and control classrooms were 0.36 and 0.20 respectively. The result showed that classroom that used problem solving had higher induct and considerate result induction skill than classroom with conventional learning. This indicated that problem solving learning was effective to improve student’s induction and considerate induction result skill mastery of the concept at basic laws of chemistry.Keywords: Problem Solving, induction and considerate induction result skill
