Abstract

Based on the research conducted there are many teachers who use conventional learning so that students are difficult to accept, respond, and develop materials provided by the teacher. The purpose of this study to determine: 1) The average difference the students 'physics learning outcomes between using simulation and experimental (2) The average difference the students 'physics learning outcomes between using simulation and experimental. This research has been carried out in the school year 2012/2013 in SMPN 1 Kotagajah. The study population was all students in class IX during the second semester.The samples taken while the IXB class as a class that uses experimental methods and IXF class as a class that uses simulation methods. Sampling technique in this study using cluster random sampling technique. Design of Experiments in this study using the form One-Shot Case Study. The results of the research conducted is: (1) There is a difference average physics student learning outcomes between using simulations and experiments that are 80.5 in the experimental class dan 70 in the simulation class (2 ) There is a difference average the students' mastery of physics concepts between using simulations and experiments that are 72.38 in the experimental class and 68.10 in the simulation class. So we can conclude the results of study and mastery of the concepts of physics experiments grade higher than the simulation.Kata kunci: eksperimen, hasil belajar, penguasaan konsep, simulasi

Abstract

The purpose of this research development is to develop an educational game for students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo that can be played in the confirmation phase of learning in classroom. This research development used research methods adapted from the Sugiyono’s model and instructional media development procedures Sadiman et al. The final products is an educational game of Newton's law of gravity material that can be played in the confirmation phase of learning in classroom to review the material and practice questions for students. This educational game consists of a game board, pawns, zonkah, question exercise cards, game rule, hand out answered questions, and student record sheets. The conclusion of this research is the educational game Newton’s law of gravity material has developed and the quality of this educational game is very interesting, easy, and very usefull. Furthermore, this educational game is effective to be used in learning in classroom.Key words: research development, educational game, and Newton's law of gravity.

Abstract

This developmental research was intended to make an interactive instructional media of magnetism based on information and communication technology (ICT) that has an interesting quality, easy to use, very useful and effective. Media contains learning materials, animation, simulation, sound, video, exercises and competency tests. Development procedures are used to modify the design of instructional media development by Sadiman, et al. With the stages of work procedure that comprise needs analysis, setting objectives, subject materials, making a synopsis, script initial, prototype production, evaluation by material expert test dan the design expert test, revision, final script, product trials, and the final program. The result of one on one test and field test have proved media has an very interesting quality, very easy to use, and very useful for students. Field test data shows the students achievement of minimum completeness criteria for post-test results as much as 91.30% of the total students so that the product is effective to be used as an instructional media. Keywords: research and development, interactive instructional media, magnetism

Abstract

Physic teachers have used cooperative learning in the learning groups to teach the material. However, student mastery of physic is still relatively low. The cooperative learning is not maximized. It makes the mastering concept of the material becomes low. This study purposes to investigate the influence toward the critical thinking skills of the students' mastery through STAD cooperative learning. This study was conducted in class IXb SMP 5 Bandar Lampung which consists of 35 students in the second semester of academic year 2012/2013 and the material is about Magnetism. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The analysis showed that both data were distributed normal and linear. Furthermore, to examine the effect, the researcher did the correlation test and simple linear regression. The results of this study indicated that there was an influence of critical thinking skills to students' mastery of concepts by STAD cooperative learning. The determination coefficient’s value with the correlation coefficient is 0, 49 which was included in the medium category with the regression equation positif where a and b constants are significant coefficients. Abstract

Every student has the different of critical thinking skill, there are more quick to crtiticize the subject matter and there are difficulties. As well as learning styles, every student has the different of learning styles. Different of critical thinking skill and learning styles result some of the students felt can’t to problems solve on learning process.This research aims to know about (1)influence of the critical thinking skill on learning outcomes of inquiry role approach learning (2)influence of learning styles on learning outcmoes of inquiry role approach learning. Learning outcomes in this research is cognitive aspect.This research was implemented at Senior High School State 1 Pesisir Selatan West Lampung District, using the experimental class (XI IPA 2) with sample are 37 students. Learning process using inquiry role approach learning. Learning outcomes obtained from test results Based on the analysis of the data concluded that:(1) Has an influence critical thinking skill for learning outcomes with inquiry role approach learning.(2)Has an influence learning styles for learning outcomes with inquiry role approach learning.Keyword: critical thinking skill, learning styles, inquiry role approach, and leraning outcomes.

Abstract

Based on the results of interview done by researchers against the junior high school in Bandar Lampung, is known that many students do not have learning resources such as books for use outside of school hours. It is known that the stu-dent's reason do not have a source of learning is the limited cost and the difficulty in getting it. Taking into account these problems, the researcher developed an electronic books as a learning resource. Electronic books are developed based on multiple representations to matter physics junior high school class VIII. The pur-pose of this development is to make the students more interested in learning and can develop students' understanding of physics concepts. Development's model used in this study was adapted from the model of media development and learn-ing according Suyanto and Sartinem (2009). Development's model includes five procedures product development and product testing, namely: preliminary re-search, creation of script/ design materials, product development, product testing (internal testing and external testing), and the dissemination and implementa-tion. Internal test results indicate that the learning resource has been developed in accordance with the content standards and fit for use as a learning resource for students. External test results showed that the quality of learning resource are very attractive, reaching 96% for attractive level of product and effective used as a learning resource, reaching 82% of students are complete the KKM. So, we can conclude that generated the learning resource such as electronic books based multiple representations that have been tested and fit for use with very attractive qualities and declared effective as a learning resource.Key words : development, electronic books and multiple representations.

Abstract

Observations and interviews show that in Xaverius Pringsewu High School have the facilities and infrastructure that support the learning process, but its are not used optimally. Added with the problems that appear on the material electricity dynamic, the percentage of students who did not complete the material electricity dynamic at class X in 2011/2012 which is up to 91.6%. Based on the state of media researchers to develop interactive multimedia based tutorial material on high school physics electricity dynamic. This research uses research and development which refers to the procedure of learning instructional media development by Sadiman which includes seven procedures, namely: analysis of the needs and characteristics of students, formulate learning objectives, formulate particle of materials, prepare an evaluation instrument, prepare the manuscript or draft media, perform validation expert, trial or test and revision. Expert validation test results indicate that the media has been developed in accordance with theory and fit for use as a medium of learning. Field test results show that developed media tutorial is very interesting, very easy to use and useful, and effective use as a medium of learning electricity dynamic.Keywords: research development, media tutorials, and electricity dynamic.

Abstract

Assessment plays a very important role in improving student’s physics learning result. However, the less variety of assessment used by the teacher causes the low score of student’s physics learning result. One type of assessment used in the research that can increase student’s physics learning result is Ongoing Assessment IF-AT (Immediate Feedback Assessment Technique). This kind of as-sessment is not only applied when the learning is over, but also done continuously when the learning process happens, that are: at the beginning of learning, whilst learning, and at the end of the learning process. This research also supported by Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Objective of this research are to know the influence score of Ongoing Assessment IF-AT technique toward score of student’s physics learning result through PBL model. The data score of Ongoing Assessment IF-AT technique is obtained from the average score of multiple-choice test of IF-AT technique conducted from 3 meetings, while the data score of learning result is obtained from cross-technique multiple-choice test conducted in the last meet-ing. Research results show that there is a positive linear influence score of Ongo-ing Assessment IF-AT technique toward score of student’s physics learning result through PBL model.Keywords : Score of learning result, score of ongoing assessment IF-AT technique,Problem Based Learning (PBL) model.

Abstract

Learning conventional always centered around teacher, impressed harm to the students especially of students which is more capable low visible tend more passive in learning, so necessary kind of classroom that can make students incentivized and the results of learning increase, that is learning cycle 5 phase.The study is done to know the effectivity of model learning lc5e consisting of 5 phase against the study result of the students. The purpose of this research was to determine the efficiency of LC5E learning model consisting of 5 phases of acquisition of student learning outcomes: ( 1 ) the difference average study result of the students who learning use the model of learning lc5e with conventional ( in ) ( 2 ) a model of learning more effective in increasing study result of the students in learning physics. The design of this research was using design one shot case study. Study result of the measured from value the evaluation posttest. From the test already done show that: ( 1 ) There have difference average study result of the class between lc5e and a class conventional ( in ) ( 2 ) learning lc5e effective in increasing study result of the students.Keyword : Learning result, Learning cycle 5 fase

Abstract

The problem discussed in this research was influence of skill representation using contextual teaching and learning toward junior high school students’ science literacy. The purpose of this research was to determine the influence skill representation toward science literacy and increase of science literacy using contextual teaching and learning. This research was done at SMP Negeri 29 Bandarlampung using a class by the number of 38 students and using the design minimal control (One-Group Pretest-Posttest). To test the influence was done correlation and simple linear regression between the data representation and data skills posttest scientific literacy, whereas to determine the increase of science literacy was done calculation of the percentage increase in score N-gain and test of paired samples t test from data pretest and posttest of students’ science literacy. The result of this research showed that (1) there was strong and significant positive linear influence between the influence skill representation toward students’ science literacy with contribution score of 41,86% and regression equation is Y = 6,156+1,065X, and (2) there was significant increase from scientific literacy using skill representation with the increase score of 38% and the average N-gain value of 0,49 which is categorized as medium category.Kata kunci: literasi sains, pembelajaran kontekstual, skill representasi,
