Abstract

This study applies a problem based learning model that can be a solution for teachers in optimizing students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of PBL learning models on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, the effect of self-confidence on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, and see the interaction of PBL and self-confidence models on mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is an experimental study using a posttest only control design. The population of this study was all 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi in the 2021/2022 academic year as many as 248 students and divided into 8 classes. In this study, the sample used was 64 students who were divided into two classes (experimental class I and control class). The sample is determined by the Simple Random Sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is a self-confidence questionnaire and a test of mathematical problem solving abilities. The data obtained were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA test. The results of this study are that the PBL learning model is more effective in influencing mathematical problem solving abilities than conventional learning, and self-covidance with high and medium categories affects mathematical problem solving abilities more than students' self-confidence in low categories.

Abstract

AbstrakGuru masih mengalami kendala dalam membuat video pembelajaran terkait dengan kemahiran, bahasa dan ketidaksesuain antara objek video dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Calon guru matematika perlu disiapkan untuk dapat membuat video pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi, peserta didik serta sesuai dengan tututan di era digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kendala calon guru matematika dalam pembuatan video pembelajaran. Penelitian ini termasuk studi kasus yang berfokus pada analisis kendala calon guru matematika dalam pembuatan video pembelajaran ditinjau dari aspek isi, aspek penyajian, aspek bahasa, dan aspek grafika. Subjek penelitian diambil dari 14 mahasiswa yang telah menempuh kuliah Inovasi Pembelajaran pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Widya Dharma Klaten. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan tiga metode pengambilan data yang meliputi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen utama peneliti sendiri yang mengambil data penelitian serta instrumen bantu dalam bentuk lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi yang membandingkan data hasil observasi terhadap video pembelajaran dengan hasil wawancara sehingga didapatkan data yang valid. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kendala yang dialami oleh calon guru matematika dalam membuat video pembelajaran matematika terletak pada indikator ketepatan isi materi, konstruksi konsep atau rumus matematika, kelengkapan informasi, kejelasan suara, dan kesesuaian antara ilustrasi dengan materi. Abstract Teachers are still experiencing problems in making learning videos related to skills, language and discrepancies between video objects and student characteristics. Prospective math teachers need to be prepared to be able to make learning videos that are in accordance with the characteristics of the material, students and in accordance with the demands of the digital era. The purpose of this research is to analyze the constraints of future mathematics teachers in making learning videos. This research includes a case study that focuses on analyzing the constraints of prospective mathematics teachers in making learning videos in terms of content, presentation, language, and graphic aspects. The research subjects were taken from 14 students who had taken the Learning Innovation course at the Mathematics Education Study Program, Widya Dharma University, Klaten. In this study, three data collection methods were used which included documentation, observation and interviews. This study uses the main instrument of the researcher himself who collects research data and auxiliary instruments in the form of observation sheets and interview guides. This study uses a triangulation technique that compares observational data to learning videos with interview results so that valid data is obtained. The results of this study are that the obstacles experienced by prospective mathematics teachers in making mathematics learning videos lie in indicators of accuracy of content, construction of mathematical concepts or formulas, completeness of information, clarity of sound, and suitability between illustrations and material.

Abstract

Hasil tes literasi numerasi yang tidak memuaskan yang diperoleh siswa Indonesia dalam Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), menjadi salah satu fakor yang menjadi alasan dalam mengembangkan LKS matematika berbasis literasi numerasi bagi siswa SD/MI agar mereka terbiasa menyelesaikan soal-soal berbasis literasi numerasi sejak dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan dan menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa lembar kerja siswa matematika berbasis literasi numerasi bagi siswa SD/MI. Penelitian ini  merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap, yaitu : 1) analysis (analisis), 2) design (perancangan), 3) development (pengembangan), 4) implantation (implementasi), dan 5) evaluation (evaluasi). Subjek penelitian adalah 62 siswa kelas V dari 3 SD/MI pada 3 provinsi berbeda, yang terdiri dari : 28 siswa SDIT Salman Al Farisi 1 Yogyakarta, 19 siswa MI Muhammadiyah Bontoboddia Gowa, dan 15 siswa MIT Al-Anshor Ambon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan dinilai sangat layak dari segi materi dan bahasa pada LKS, dan dinilai praktis dalam penggunaannya.  Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan sebuah produk LKS matematika berbasis literasi numerasi yang bernuansa Islami pada materi statistika bagi siswa kelas V SD/MI. The unsatisfactory results of the numeracy literacy test obtained by Indonesian students in the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) are one of the factors that is a reason for developing numeracy-based math worksheets for SD/MI students so that they are accustomed to solving numeracy-based questions since early stage. The purpose of this study was to develop and produce in the form of numeracy literacy-based math student worksheet for SD/MI students. This research is research and development using the ADDIE model consists of 5 stages, namely: 1) analysis, 2) design, 3) development, 4) implementation and 5) evaluation. The research subjects were 62 fifth-grade students 3 SD/MI in 3 different provinces, consisting of 28 students from SDIT Salman Al Farisi 1 Yogyakarta, 19 students from MI Muhammadiyah Bontoboddia Gowa, dan 15 students from MIT Al-Anshor Ambon. The results showed that the developed LKS was considered very feasible in terms of material and language in the LKS, and was considered practical in its use. This research has produced a math worksheet based on numeracy literacy with Islamic nuances in statistics material for fifth-grade students of SD/MI.

Abstract

Pendidikan saat ini perlu untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. PBL ialah model pembelajaran yang menjurus pada penguatan kompetensi pemecahan masalah, bernalar kritis, dan belajar tentang belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh penerapan model PBL pada pembelajaran terhadap kompetensi berpikir kritis siswa kelas VI SD pada materi lingkaran. Pendekatan yang diaplikasian dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif tipe desain Pre-Test Post-Test berpikir kritis. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes berpikir kritis. Partisipan yang disertakan pada peneltian ini kelas VI SDN Pacing sedangkan sejumlah 25 siswa.  Analisis Data menggunakan Uji-t satu sampel. Berdasarkan perhitungan pengujian hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t. . Hasil dari uji normalitas nilai hasil berpikir kritis 0,139 >  (0,05)  melebihi nilai signifikan , maka nilai variabel berdistribusi normal , dilanjutkan menggunakan uji-t satu sampel , hasil uji-t pada bagian equal variances assumed tampak bahwa nilai Sig.(2-tailed) < ???? yaitu 0,000 < 0,05 maka tolak H0. Jadi dapat disimpulkan ada signifikansi pengaruh penerapan PBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis matematika siswa kelas VI SD.Education today needs to develop critical thinking skills to face the era of both personal and vocational life. PBL is a learning model that focuses on strengthening problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and learning how to learn. This study aims to determine the significance of the effect of applying the PBL learning model on the critical thinking skills of sixth grade elementary school students on circle material. Approach used in this research is a quantitative approach of the type of Pre-Test and Post-Test research. using a learning outcomes test. The technique of data collection in this study used a critical thinking test. The participant used in this study was grade VI SDN Pacing while the sample used in this study amounted to 25 students. Data analysis using one sample t-test. Based on the calculation of hypothesis testing carried out using the t-test. The results of the normality test of the value of the result of 0.139 critical thinking >α (0.05) exceeds the significant value, then the value of the variable is normally distributed, followed by using a one-sample t-test, the results of equal variance assumed shows that Sig (2-tailed) < ????, 0,000 < 0,05 so that H0 rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of PBL on the mathematical critical thinking skills of sixth grade elementary school students.Keywords: circle, Critical Thinking, PBL

Abstract

AbstrakPelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika memiliki tujuan utama yaitu memperkuat kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah. Namun, Kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah masih terbilang minim. Untuk mengetahui seberapa baik siswa dapat memecahkan masalah adalah tujuan dari penelitian ini dan mencari tahu efek serta korelasi antara tingkat resiliensi matematis yang dimiliki peserta didik dengan kemampuan mereka dalam pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan berbasis survei. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan sampel dari peserta didik kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta sebanyak 67 peserta didik kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian dimulai dengan menyebarkan angket kepada peserta didik untuk mengukur resiliensi matematis mereka serta menyebarkan soal tes matematika untuk mengetahui ukuran kapasitas seseorang untuk memecahkan permasalahan matematis. Berlandaskan hasil pengujian analisis regresi linier sederhana menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS yakni menunjukkan besar nilai koefisien korelasinya R yaitu 0,577 dengan R2 = 33,30%. Dari hasil pengujian tersebut mengindikasikan besar efek resiliensi matematis mencapai 33,30% pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik.AbstractThe primary objective of implementing mathematics instruction is to improve students' problem-solving skills. Nonetheless, the problem-solving skills of students remain limited. The purpose of this research is to determine how effectively students can solve issues, as well as the influence and association between their degree of mathematical resilience and their capacity to solve mathematical difficulties. This research utilizes a survey-based quantitative research methodology. This research was conducted using a sample of students from class XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta. 67 students from class XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta were recruited using a technique of simple random sampling. The project was initiated by providing questionnaires to students to gauge their mathematical resilience and math exam questions to determine a person's capacity to solve mathematical difficulties. Based on the findings of a basic linear regression analysis using the IBM SPSS program, the correlation coefficient R is calculated to be 0.577, with R2=33.30 %. The test findings suggested that mathematical resilience has a 33.30 % impact on pupils' arithmetic problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Technological advances that are overgrowing are also one of the challenges for teachers to use technology as a learning medium. Ethnomathematical animation video as a strategy for linking learning in the real world and mathematical connection skills in solving geometry problems. Therefore, this research aims to create an animated video media based on ethnomathematics on mathematical connection abilities in solving problems in class VIII students. This development study uses the ADDIE metho (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). The results showed that the animated video learning media was adequate, with an overall average score of 3.73 after validation by a Material Expert and an average score of 3.64 after validation by a Media Expert. The responses from the 8th graders were positive (88%) based on the research. Animated video media based on ethnomathematics on mathematical connection abilities can be used as an alternative for teachers in elementary schools to learn geometry material.

Abstract

Learning mathematics is frequently regarded as difficult by students, resulting in a lack of problem-solving ability. This problem occurred at SMPN 8 Jember, where, based on the results of observations, grade VII students have low problem-solving skills due to the conventional learning model used. If the problem is not addressed immediately, it is feared that it will continue with the next generation of students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PBL model of the peer tutor method assisted by card problems on mathematics learning outcomes in seventh-grade junior high school students with quadrilateral material. This research includes a quasi-experimental design. The data collection technique uses pretest and posttest tests to be tested with the paired samples T test and regression test (ANOVA) on the SPSS application. The results of the paired samples T test in the experimental class gave a sig value of 0.000, while in the control class it was 0.003. The sig value for the regression test for the experimental class is 0.014, while the sig value for the control class is 0.033. These results show that the PBL model of the peer tutor method assisted by card problems is more effective and influential than the PBL model of the peer tutor method to improve student mathematics learning outcomes. The study concludes that incorporating card problem learning media into the PBL model of the peer tutor method produces effective results in terms of quadrilateral material mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tidak semua media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android telah layak (media dan materi) maupun tidak praktis penggunaannya. Penelitian ini merancang suatu media berbasis android menggunakan microsoft powerpoint, ispring suite, dan website apk 2 builder pada pembelajaran perbandingan yang dapat diakses tanpa jaringan internet dengan kapasitas penyimpanan yang rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan media pembelajaran dengan prosedur analisis, desain, development (pengembangan), implementasi, dan evaluasi, kemudian dianalisis kelayakannya. Subjek penelitian ini meliputi guru, siswa, pakar media, dan pakar materi, yang dikumpulkan datanya menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Setelah data terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis kualitatif. Didasarkan pada analisis kebutuhan (dokumentasi dan wawancara), media pembelajaran ini berhasil dirancang dalam pembelajaran perbandingan di SMP. Dalam mengukur tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran, data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket dari pakar media dan materi. Tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran dianalisis dengan menghitung persentasenya, kemudian dianalisis kualitatif. Secara kualititatif, pakar media memberikan penilaian sangat layak, begitu juga dengan pakar materi. Dari pengukuran ini, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi kelayakan media, materi, dan praktis untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran perbandingan. Penelitian ini memberikan simpulan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran perbandingan. Not all Android-based mathematics learning media are feasible (media and material) or impractical to use.  This study designed an Android-based media using microsoft powerpoint, ispring suite, and the APK 2 website builder for ratio learning that can be accessed without an internet network with low storage capacity. This research is the development of instructional media with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation procedures, then analyzed for feasibility. The subjects of this study included teachers, students, media experts, and material experts, whose data were collected using interviews, observations, and questionnaires. After the data collected were analyzed using qualitative analysis. Based on needs analysis (documentation and interviews), this learning media was successfully designed in ratio learning. In measuring the feasibility level of learning media, data was collected using a questionnaire from media and material experts. The feasibility level of learning media is analyzed by calculating the percentage, then analyzed qualitatively. Qualitatively, media experts gave a very proper assessment, as well as material experts. From this measurement, the developed learning media has met the eligibility of the media, materials, and practice to be implemented in ratio learning. This research concludes that the developed android-based learning media is very feasible to be implemented in ratio learning.

Abstract

During the learning process the role of the teacher is very important, the selection of the learning model to be used must be flexible which makes it easier for students to develop the ability to think mathematically. The purpose[Reviewer1] [Bdm2]  of this study was to determine the effect of learning mathematics with the numbered heads together (NHT) cooperative model on learning outcomes and to see the effect of the numbered heads together (NHT) cooperative model in improving students' critical thinking skills and collaboration. In this study using Pre-Experimental where Pre-Experimental research only involved one class as an experimental and treatment class. The subjects in this study were students in class VII D at SMP Negeri 6 Praya Timur consisting of 31 students. Data collection techniques in this study used a test consisting of a test instrument and a questionnaire instrument. The test instruments used in this study were basic competence achievement tests (KD) and critical thinking tests, while the questionnaire instruments used in this study were collaboration questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study was hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the average score for achieving basic competence of students at the time of the pretest was 51.80 and the posttest was 80.73, for the average score of critical thinking during the pretest was 24.09 and the posttest was 67.58, while the score the average collaboration obtained by students during the pretest was 73.008 and the posttest was 76.875. So it was concluded that using the numbered head together (NHT) cooperative model was able to improve student learning outcomes as seen from basic competencies, and was able to support students' critical thinking skills and student collaboration.

Abstract

The most pressing issue at SD Negeri 4 Bireuen is the school's inability to effectively address student and teacher concerns.This study aims to improve teachers' problem-solving skills. This study employs a qualitatve approach. Research participants include 36 third-year students from SD Negeri 4 Bireuen. This study's information was gathered by means of a questionnaire, participant observations, and key informant interviews. This study employs a descriptive data analysis method. The implementation of the Problem-Based Learning pedagogical approach has the potential to improve students' problem-solving abilities in the area of statistics, specifically in the areas of sample size determination and reduction, in the third grade of SD Negeri 4 Bireuen. This is evidenced by the fact that student problem-solving abilities increased from 82.3 percent in the first semester to 94.1 percent in the second. Utilizing interactive video can help students' attention during the learning process and can help students develop a sense of satisfaction from their studies. There have been comments from users who have affirmed the validity and value of interactive video. This is due to the fact that educational media has become more valuable as a result of the integration of previously unreliable components.
