Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) menganalisis hasil studi lapangan terkait kebutuhan desain modul matematika berbasis santun berbahasa untuk siswa slow learner, (2) menganalisis hasil temuan di lapangan dan hasil FGD terkait kebutuhan desain modul matematika berbasis santun berbahasa untuk siswa slow learner, (3) merumuskan desain draf modul matematika berbasis santun berbahasa untuk siswa slow learner. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Metode deskriptif ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan desain pembuatan modul matematika berbasis santun berbahasa. Modul ini dirancang dengan memperhatikan karakteristik siswa slow learner di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) berdasarkan hasil studi lapangan modul matematika berbasis santun berbahasa membahas materi pembelajaran matematika secara koheren dan jelas perlu untuk dikembangkan dengan memperhatikan kesantunan dalam setiap kalimat baik kalimat perintah, penjelasan dan pertanyaan; (2) berdasarkan temuan dan FGD perlu dirancang modul yang menggunakan kurikulum 2013, ada kegiatan proyek yang menarik, memasukkan bahasa yang santun, isinya runtut dan detail, tema tentang kebudayaan, memperhatikan karakter siswa slow learner, desain halaman dan sambul berkaitan dengan budaya; dan (3) Desain draft modul matematika berbasis santun berbahasa menyediakan 3 bagian dasar dari pengantar, konten, dan penutup, serta desain setiap kegiatan pembelajaran disusun menggunakan akronim yang unik sehingga menarik dan mudah diakses oleh siswa yang lambat. The objectives of this study were (1) analyze the results of field studies related to the need for language-based mathematics module design for slow learner students, (2) analyze the findings in the field and the results of FGDs related to the need for language-based mathematics module design for slow learner, (3) formulating a draft design of a mathematics module based on polite language for slow learner students. The research method is descriptive. It used to describe the design of a mathematics module based on polite language. This module is designed with students in mind. Slow learner in elementary school. The results showed that (1) based on the results of the field study, the language-based mathematics module discusses mathematics learning material in a coherent and clear manner, it needs to be developed by paying attention to the politeness in the sentence of each command sentence, explanation and question; (2) based on the findings and FGD, it is necessary to design modules that use the 2013 curriculum, have interesting project activities, include helpful language, coherent and detailed content, themes about culture, paying attention to the character of students who are slow, page design and chutney related to culture; and (3) The design of the draft mathematics module based on polite language provides 3 basic parts of the introduction, content, cover, and design of each learning activity which is arranged using unique acronyms so that it is attractive and easily accessible to slow students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan menggunakan Adobe Animation CC yaitu berupa permainan edukasi "MENALAR" yang dapat dimainkan di ponsel cerdas. Produk dikembangkan dengan memperhatikan aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Balikpapan. Adapun implementasinya menggunakan desain pengembangan Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) yang terdiri dari: konsep, perancangan, pengumpulan materi, pembuatan, pengujian, dan distribusi. Hasil tersebut diperoleh dari pengujian media yang terdiri dari uji Alpha dan uji Beta dalam kelompok kecil, dan uji Beta dalam kelompok besar. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa game edukasi "MENALAR" berbasis Adobe Animation CC termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid dengan persentase 88,9%, sangat praktis dengan persentase rata-rata 83,6%; dan efektif meskipun persentase ketuntasan hanya mencapai 60,4%. Sehingga secara keseluruhan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi alternatif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran khususnya mengenai soal-soal penalaran metematika. This study aims to produce distance learning media using Adobe Animation CC, which is a "MENALAR" educational game that can be played on a smartphone (Android). The product is developed by attention to the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in learning mathematics in X-Grade Students of  SMA Negeri 5 Balikpapan. The implementation uses Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC)  design consisting of: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. These results were obtained from media testing consisting of Alpha and Beta test (in small and large groups). The results of the study concluded that the educational game "MENALAR" based on Adobe Animation CC was included in the very valid  with an average percentage of 88,9%, very practical with an average percentage of 83,6%; and effective even though the percentage of completeness only reaches 60,4%. So that overall the learning media developed can be an alternative in learning activities, especially mathematics reasoning problems.

Abstract

Suku Boti sebagai salah satu suku tertua di pulau Timor, Nusa Tenggara Timur yang kaya akan warisan budaya. Keunikan budaya Boti perlu dijaga dan dilestarikan karena merupakan salah satu budaya asli Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif berdesain etnografi yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi unsur-unsur geometri yang terdapat dalam budaya suku Boti. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu masyarakat suku Boti Dalam yang masih tertutup terhadap budaya modern dan menjalankan tradisi budaya Boti dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Objek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu lopo, tup mahae, tobe, dan sene. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis taksonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep-konsep geometri meliputi aksioma titik, garis, dan bidang, konsep garis singgung, konsep luas dan volume bangun datar, konsep luas dan volume bangun ruang, serta konsep kekongruenan. Selain itu, kemampuan-kemampuan matematis seperti kemampuan representasi, kemampuan visual spasial, kemampuan koneksi, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat dikembangkan berdasarkan unsur-unsur geometris pada budaya suku Boti. Hasil eksplorasi ini dapat digunakan oleh para guru matematika untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran geometri di kelas berbasis budaya Boti. Boti as one of the oldest tribes on the Timor Island, East Nusa Tenggara, has a lot of cultural heritage. The uniqueness of Boti culture needs to be preserved because it is one of Indonesia's original cultures. This is a qualitative research with ethnographic design which aimed to explore the geometry concepts contained in Boti culture. The subject of this research is the Boti Dalam society which still closed to modern culture and maintain the Boti cultural traditions in daily life. The objects discussed in this research are lopo, tup mahae, tobe, and sene. The data analysis technique used in this research is taxonomic analysis. The results showed that the concepts of geometry covering the axioms of points, lines, and fields, tangent concept, the concept of area and volume of flat shapes, the concept of area and volume of space builds, and the concept of concordance. In addition, mathematical abilities such as representation, visual spatial ability, connection ability, and problem solving ability can be developed based on geometric culture of the Boti Tribe. The results of this exploration can be used by mathematics teachers to develop geometry learning in Boti culture-based classes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics learning based on a scientific approach to support learning mathematics in understanding mathematical concepts. This research method is to use research and development with 4D models. The 4D model consists of four steps: determining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The subjects of this study were junior high school students with an average age of 12 years. The instrument used is the feasibility aspect of the learning media. The technique used is seen from the feasibility of teaching material media. The results showed that the visual element was 87.50%, which means that this mathematics teaching material has an excellent visualization. The part of software engineering is 94.44%, which means that mathematics teaching materials are elementary to use and access. The implementation aspect is 83.33%, which means that mathematics teaching materials can be alternative support for increasing student motivation and self-regulation. The result for content accuracy is 87.5%, which means that mathematics teaching materials have perfect content accuracy. Then for the presentation aspect is 70.83% included in both categories. The evaluation aspect is 77.78%, which means the evaluation instruments in mathematics teaching materials are varied and quite tricky. The language used is 91.67%, which means the language used in mathematics teaching materials is very communicative, easy to understand, and students' cognitive development. The teaching material is suitable for mathematics learning for junior high school students based on the results obtained.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap analogi prosedur dalam menyelesaikan persamaan kuadrat dengan memfaktorkan akan dideskripsikan berdasar konsep pemahaman Skemp, pemahaman instrumental dan pemahaman relasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 82 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal tes pemahaman dan wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan indikator pemahaman terhadap prosedur yang telah dipelajari, pemahaman terhadap prosedur baru, dan pemahaman terkait hubungan antara kedua prosedur tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan meski semua mahasiswa mampu menggunakan prosedur yang telah dipelajari tetapi hanya 15 (18,29%) mahasiswa yang memahami bahwa teorema yang mendasari prosedur tersebut. Ada 5 (6,10%) mahasiswa yang memahami prosedur baru, dan mampu menunjukkan aturan dibalik prosedur tersebut, tetapi hanya satu mahasiswa yang menemukan bentuk umum persamaan kuadrat yang dapat diselesaikan menggunakan prosedur baru sekaligus mampu mengembangkan prosedur baru yang analog lengkap dengan penjelasannya. This research was conducted on 82 prospective teachers of Mathematics Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Students' understanding of the analogy of procedures in solving quadratic equations by factoring will be described through concept of Skemp understanding, instrumental understanding and relational understanding. Indicators of these understanding are understanding of procedures that have been learned, understanding of new procedures, and understanding related to the relationship between the two procedures. The results showed that although all students were able to use the procedures learned, only 15 students (18.29%) realized that the procedure relied on the multiplication theorem of two numbers equal to zero. There were 5 students (6.10%) who understood the new procedure, and were able to show the rules behind the procedure, but only one student was able to find the general form of quadratic equations that could be solved using a new procedure while being able to develop new analogous procedures complete with an explanation

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how Problem based learning to train student independence. This type of research used a descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation and questionnaires. The study was conducted on students who were taking Basic Logic courses, totaling 23 students. Data analysis techniques by data reduction, data presentation, and concluding Problem Based Learning. The results showed that the average implementation of learning with Problem Based Learning was 86.83%, and the learning independence of students from the observations was 62.29% which was included in the good category supported by the results of the questionnaire independence with an average of 70.78% which in the high category. These results indicate that learning by using Problem Based Learning can be used to train student independence. The independence aspect that is emphasized is self-confidence, motivation, have responsibilities, discipline, and initiatives that arise during the learning process. Besides that, by applying the Problem Based Learning, the learning process involves students to take an active part, besides that students are also given more responsibility in the continuity of the learning process and their understanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh model Reciprocal Teaching terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari gender dan level sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the randomized control group only design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTsN Kabupaten Kampar Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Sampel dipilih secara random berdasarkan level sekolah yang ditentukan dari hasil Ujian Nasional. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa diukur menggunakan tes akhir. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan statistik parametrik dan non-parametrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang diajar dengan model reciprocal teaching dan pembelajaran konvensional pada level sekolah tinggi, sedang dan rendah. 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa laki-laki yang diajar dengan model reciprocal teaching dan pembelajaran konvensional pada level sekolah tinggi, sedang dan rendah. 3) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa perempuan yang diajar dengan model reciprocal teaching dan pembelajaran konvensional pada level sekolah tinggi dan sedang. 4) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gender dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa di level sekolah tinggi, sedang dan rendah. The aim of this research was to investigate and describe the influence of reciprocal teaching models toward students’ mathematical communication ability based on gender and school level. The research employed quasi experiment using the randomized control group only design. The population of the research was the students at grade VIII MTsN Kampar Regency in the academic year 2019/2020. The sample was chosen randomly based on school level that results of the National Examination. Students’ mathematical communication ability was measured by using posttest. Data of research were analysed using parametric and non-parametric statistics. The results of the research show that: 1) The ability of students’ mathematical communication who taught by using reciprocal teaching models was better than students taught by conventional teaching on high, medium and low school level. 2) Mathematical communication ability of male students who taught by using reciprocal teaching models was better than students taught by conventional teaching on high, medium and low school level. 3) Mathematical communication ability of female students who taught by using reciprocal teaching models was better than students taught by conventional teaching on high and medium school level. 4) There is no interaction between learning models and gender to mathematical communication ability of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran video animasi yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 34 orang siswa yang terdiri dari 12 orang siswa laki-laki dan 22 orang siswa perempuan dari salah satu SMP Negeri di Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket penilaian kepraktisan media oleh guru dan siswa, serta tes kemampuan spasial yang terdiri dari 12 butir soal pilihan ganda untuk menguji masing-masing komponen kemampuan spasial yaitu spatial visualization, spatial orientation, dan spatial relation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian yang diperoleh dari ahli materi dan ahli media menyatakan media yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, sedangkan hasil penilaian yang diberikan oleh guru dan siswa menyatakan media memenuhi kriteria praktis. Media tersebut juga dinyatakan efektif jika ditinjau dari kemampuan spasial karena sebanyak 75,9% siswa berhasil memperoleh skor ketuntasan. Kemampuan spasial sangat penting dimiliki oleh siswa karena banyak penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa kemampuan spasial berpengaruh terhadap kesuksesan seseorang di bidang Science, Technology, Engineering dan Mathematics (STEM), serta terhadap prestasi matematika siswa. This research is a development research which aims to develop a valid, practical and effective animated learning video. The subjects involved were 34 students consisting of 12 male and 22 female students from one of the state junior high schools in Yogyakarta. Data collection were carried out with a questionnaire assessment of the practicality of the media by teachers and students, as well as a spatial ability test consisting of 12 multiple choice questions to test each component of spatial ability, namely spatial visualization, spatial orientation, and spatial relations. The results showed that the assessment obtained from material experts and media experts stated that the developed media met valid criteria, while the assessment results given by teachers and students stated that the media met practical criteria. The media was also effective when viewed from spatial ability because 75.9% of students achieved mastery level scores. Spatial ability is very important for students as reported by many studies stating that spatial ability influences a person's success in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and related to students’ mathematics achievement

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 memerlukan pemanfaatan media dalam pembelajaran, yang  mengakibatkan keinginan dan minat baru, meningkatkan motivasi dan rangsangan dalam pembelajaran, bahkan berpengaruh secara psikologis kepada siswa. Media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dapat membuat pembelajaran lebih powerfull, karena penggunaan media dalam proses pembelajaran bukan merupakan fungsi tambahan, tetapi mempunyai fungsi sebagai alat bantu untuk mewujudkan situasi pembelajaran yang aktif, efektif dan menyenangkan. Arus globalisasi yang terjadi saat ini juga mencakup aspek kemajuan dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi, diharapkan tujuan dari penggunaan geogebra dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika yang divariasi dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Metro pada bulan November 2018  menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket motivasi. Analisisnya menggunakan teknik skala likert. Hasil penelitian  ini adalah melalui Discovery Learning dengan Geogebra dapat  meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, sehingga aktivitas belajar juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 60,83% pada siklus I menjadi 89,38% pada siklus III. Oleh karena itu dalam pembelajaran hendaknya guru dapat berinovasi untuk memotivasi dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dengan model yang bervariasi dan media yang sesuai, sehingga hasil belajar dapat maksimal. Twenty first century instruction needs media application, which appear  new demand and need, improve learning motivation and stimulate, event it affected students pshycologically. Instructional media which based on technology can create powerfull instruction, because the use of them in instructional process is not as additional function, but they function as device to create active, effective and enjoyable instructional atmosphere. Globalisation streaming nowadays also included the improvement of information  technology  which hoped that the application of Geogebra can improve the motivation on learning mathematic which variated in learning model Discovery Learning. The study was applied at IX grade of State Junioe High School 3 Metro in Movwmber 2018 through Classroom Action Research, The data collection was done using motivation questionnaire, The Analysys was done through  likert scale. Discovery Learning of Geogebra can improve students' learning motivation so that learning activities can be improve too, the score's rate 60.83% at cycle I became 89.38% at cycle II. It can be said that teachers should do innovation to motivate and improve learning quality through variation of models and fixed media in order to gain maximum achievement of learning

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) menghitung kompetensi guru Matematika tingkat SMP tahun 2015 di Bangka Tengah, (2) menghitung rata-rata nilai UN Matematika SMP tahun 2017, (3) menentukan korelasi antara hasil UKG guru Matematika terhadap hasil belajar Matematika siswa SMP pada UN tahun 2017. Metode yang digunakan  adalah deskriprif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa tingkat SMP. Waktu penelitian dilakukan di tahun 2019 selama 2 bulan yang berlokasi di Dinas Pendidikan Bangka dan beberapa SMP di Bangka Tengah.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh yaitu rata-rata UKG guru ada pada kategori cukup yaitu pedagogik ada pada kategori tinggi dengan skor rata-rata  66,29 dan profesional ada pada kategori cukup dengan  rata-rata 64,04. Untuk hasil ujian nasional  kabupaten Bangka Tengah siswa SMP pada tahun 2017 diperoleh rata-rata  64,19. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan diperoleh  nilai korelasi adalah 0,306. Nilai ini dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel penelitian lemah, selanjutnya diperoleh R Square atau koefisien determinasi (KD) sebesar  9,4 %  yang dapat ditafsirkan bahwa hasil UKG di Kabupaten Bangka Tengah  memiliki pengaruh kontribusi sebesar 9,4 % terhadap nilai UN siswa dan 90,6% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain, diantaranya minat, bakat kecerdasan intelektual, kecemasan, kesiapan mental dalam diri siswa. AbstractIn this study, we want to see (1) the results of the mathematics teacher competency test in Central Bangka on the results of students' national exams in junior high school on mathematics subjects; (2) calculating the average value of the 2017 SMP Mathematics National Examination; (3) determining the correlation between the results of the UKG Mathematics teacher and the mathematics learning outcomes of junior high school students at the 2017 National Exam. The method used is quantitative descriptive. Research subjects were teachers and junior high school students. When the research was conducted in 2019 for 2 months located in the Bangka Education Office and several junior high schools in Central Bangka. As for the results obtained, the average UKG of teachers is in the sufficient category, namely pedagogics in the high category with an average score of 66.29, and professionals in the moderate category with an average of 64.04. For the results of the Central Bangka district national examination, junior high school students in 2017 obtained an average of 64.19. The results showed the correlation value obtained was 0.306.
