This exercise was place in SMA Negeri 2 Batu City and involved seven subjects. This issue was discovered through the Forume Group Discussion activity, in which it was communicated that training in the development of electronic modules was required to enable the deployment of blended learning. Training and mentoring activities are employed as the method. Where professionals in the development of teaching materials fill the training activities, which are followed by mentoring activities in the preparation of electronic teaching materials after the training activities and program assessment activities provided through a google form. The outcomes of the training and mentoring activities revealed that the training and mentoring went well and that the subjects were enthusiastic about it. Furthermore, it can be observed from the results of the evaluation through the google form, which received an average of 82.33 percent, with the highest percentage (86 percent) in the material explanation. This training and assistance in the creation of e-modules is significant because it can help instructors create teaching resources to support learning activities that are accessible to all students.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the application of the discovery learning model in mathematics learning and to describe students' mathematical communication skills both orally and in writing. The approach to this research is a qualitative approach, while the type of research used is descriptive. This research was conducted with the subject of class VIII C students in the 2019/2020 school year. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation to determine students 'mathematical communication skills orally and tests to determine students' written communication skills. The instruments used in this study were the observation sheet of students' communication skills and the test in the form of description questions. Based on the results obtained, it shows that the application of the discovery learning model in this study can be said to be quite good but the results are less than optimal and there are several obstacles experienced during learning activities using the discovery learning model. Meanwhile, the level of students' mathematical communication skills is quite good with a percentage of 56% for oral and 59.48% for written.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how Problem based learning to train student independence. This type of research used a descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation and questionnaires. The study was conducted on students who were taking Basic Logic courses, totaling 23 students. Data analysis techniques by data reduction, data presentation, and concluding Problem Based Learning. The results showed that the average implementation of learning with Problem Based Learning was 86.83%, and the learning independence of students from the observations was 62.29% which was included in the good category supported by the results of the questionnaire independence with an average of 70.78% which in the high category. These results indicate that learning by using Problem Based Learning can be used to train student independence. The independence aspect that is emphasized is self-confidence, motivation, have responsibilities, discipline, and initiatives that arise during the learning process. Besides that, by applying the Problem Based Learning, the learning process involves students to take an active part, besides that students are also given more responsibility in the continuity of the learning process and their understanding.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of formative tests on edmodo granting the student mathematics teacher education profession. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Data retrieval by way of observation, online tests and student response. The results of the research shows that with the application of the test for granting edmodo formative student PPG mathematics education is running very well and can be applied to the grant of formative tests. With Edmodo can easily see the results obtained by students, besides that with Edmodo can easily see the material that many students answered incorrectly and the settings for execution time can also be set. So that, with this time arrangement, the students will be able to manage the process of the question well. Edmodo also provides facilities to be able to randomize answers with questions in appearance, so that with the existence of the facility there is a possibility that between one student and another student gets the same problem but with a different number. The facility can also minimize students from working together. The implementation is also supported by several student responses. The results of student responses in the application of Edmodo for the provision of this formative test are very good.

Abstract

Abstract

The current Covid-19 pandemic has severely impacted education where learning must be carried out online. Canvas is among polysynchronous e-learning platforms available. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of open-ended teaching materials through Canvas-assisted Polysynchronous Learning. This topic was chosen considering the importance teaching materials to support the implementation of Polysynchronous Learning. This study developed learning modules and power points as learning media, and Google form as evaluation media. Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. These materials were validated by material and media experts to measure their effectiveness. Results show that the teaching materials are valid and feasible. These teaching materials were implemented through a polysynchronous learning where student activities reached 89%. It is implied that these materials could enhance student learning. Students’ learning outcomes (final test) are categorized good with the average score of 80.8; the distribution of 44 points for A, 24 for B+, and 12 for B.

Abstract

his study aims to describe the application of the PBL learning model in mathematics learning, to find out the types of errors that students make in solving math story problems based on Newman's analysis, and what factors are the causes of student errors in solving math story problems. The subjects of this research were students of class VII. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, written tests, and interviews. The results showed that learning with the application of the PBL model with NEA on the rectangular material went very well during the three meetings that went very well, as indicated by the implementation of each of these learning steps during the learning process going well, this indicates that student activities when the learning process by applying the PBL learning model with the NEA went very well. The error analysis based on the NEA shows that the most mistakes made by students were errors in writing the final answer. This was due to students' mistakes in working on the previous stage and also students who did not write conclusions, the lowest error made by students was transformation errors.
