Abstract

Based on the results of the preliminary study, most students were unable to infer formulas of the created patterns and to apply them to the problem's context. This inability refers to inductive thinking, specifically the formulation and generalization stages.The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of students' inductive reasoning in solving numeration problems in the material of number patterns. This study uses a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 12 Malang. The stages of students' inductive reasoning are understanding the problem, organizing the problem, looking for and guessing patterns, conjecturing formulas, validating conjectures, and generalizing. The subjects in this study were three students of class VIII C SMP Negeri 12 Malang. Data collection used questions in the form of numeracy questions on number pattern material and interview guidelines. Qualitative data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that students with high abilities can carry out all inductive reasoning activities, students with moderate abilities carry out inductive reasoning to activities for finding and guessing patterns, and students with low abilities do not carry out inductive reasoning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring membutuhkan inovasi pembelajaran yang dapay membantu memudahkan peserta didik dalam mempelajari materi pelajaran secara mandiri. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menjawab permasalahan yang ada dengan mengembangkan produk media pembelajaran berupa media pembelajaran matematika berbasis video animasi dengan menggunakan sparkol pada materi trigonometri kelas XI.  Menggunakan model ADDIE, yaitu: Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluate. Pengembangan ini melalui tahapan uji validasi materi dan media menghasilkan rata-rata persentase uji validasi ahli materi 84,6 % yang berarti sangat layak. Rata-rata persentase uji validasi ahli media 77,78% yang berarti layak. Selanjutnya diperoleh rata-rata persentase ahli materi dan ahli media 82,69% yang berarti sangat layak. Hasil uji kepraktisan diperoleh rata-rata persentase 81% yang berarti sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi dan uji kepraktisan maka media pembelajaran matematika berbasis video animasi menggunakan sparkol pada materi trigonometri kelas XI dinyatakan layak dan praktis untuk digunakan.Online learning requires learning innovations that can halp make it easier for students to study subject matter independently. This development research aims to answer existing problems by developing learning media products in the form of animated video-based mathematics learning media using sparkol in class XI trigonometry material using the ADDIE model, namely: Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluate. This development through the stages of material and media validation test produces an average percentage of material expert validation tests 84,6% which means it is very feasible. The average percentage of the media expert validation test is 77,78% which it is feasible. Then obtained an average percentage of material experts and media experts 82,69% which means very feasible. The results of the practically test obtained an average percentage of 81% which menas it is very practical. Based on the results of the validation test and practicality test, the animated video-based mathematics learning media using sparkol in class XI trigonometry material was declared feasible and practical to use.

Abstract

School closures and home learning policy to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia raised concerns about learning loss. This research was focused on examining the potential for learning loss in terms of the mathematical competence of year-3 indigenous primary school students in Indonesia due to school closures during the pandemic. This qualitative research with a phenomenological approach involved 8 year-3 students who had been studying from home for the last 1.5 years or so. Data collection was carried out using mathematical diagnostic tests and interviews. Results from this study revealed the phenomenon of learning loss in terms of the mathematical competence among the students, where the mastery of prior mathematics knowledge and skills required for grade 3 were not mastered yet. Also, their mathematical competences were below the competency standard in the curriculum for grade 3 primary school in Indonesia. The significancy of this study emphasized that the phenomenon of learning loss that occurred in primary school students during and even after the COVID-19 pandemic should be a serious concern for all parties and stakeholders. Hence, some solutions and quick steps that need to be taken to mitigate the long-term impacts of learning loss are also included in this article.

Abstract

Dengan adanya pandemi covid-19, proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan jarak jauh (daring). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Pengaruh yang signifikan minat belajar terhadap penggunaan teknologi; 2) Pengaruh yang signifikan minat belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah; 3) Pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan teknologi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah; 4) Pengaruh yang signifikan literasi numerasi terhadap penggunaan teknologi; 5) Pengaruh yang signifikan literasi numerasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah; 6) Pengaruh yang signifikan minat belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui penggunaan teknologi; 7) Pengaruh yang signifikan literasi numerasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui penggunaan teknologi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif “ex post facto” dengan sampel penelitian 242 siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Semarapura. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan alat pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner dan tes dengan analisis data SmartPLS 3 diperoleh hasil 1) Minat belajar tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah dengan koefisien jalur -0.115; 2) Minat belajar tidak berpengaruh terhadap penggunaan teknologi dengan koefisien jalur -0.077; 3) Penggunaan teknologi berpengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah dengan koefisien jalur 0.211; 4) Literasi numerasi berpengaruh terhadap penggunaan teknologi dengan koefisien jalur 0.174; 5) Literasi numerasi berpengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah dengan koefisien jalur 0.160; 6) Minat belajar terhadap pemecahan masalah melalui penggunaan teknologi tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan dengan koefisien jalur -0.016; 7) Literasi numerasi terhadap pemecahan masalah melalui penggunaan teknologi terdapat pengaruh dengan koefisien jalur 0.073. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kondisi pembelajaran pada saat penelitian dilakukan, para siswa harus belajar dari rumah akibat Pandemi Covid-19 yang mengurangi kesempatan belajar langsung di sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik dalam materi segiempat dan segitiga disebabkan bahan ajar yang belum dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan koneksi matematis. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis pendekatan kontekstual pada materi segiempat dan segitiga untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik SMP/MTs. Metode penelelitian menggunakan 4D yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (perencanaan), Develop (pengembangan) dan Disseminate (penyebaran). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi angket, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini melibatkan peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Bangkinang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD valid dari hasil expert review dan praktis dari hasil small group. Pada tahap small group LKPD yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek penilaian yaitu: kemudahan penggunaannya, penyajian LKPD, keterbacaan, dan waktu. Sehingga LKPD berbasis pendekatan kontekstual untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan koneksi matematis bisa digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis; LKPD; Pendekatan Kontekstual.This research is motivated by the low mathematical connection abilities of students in quadrilateral and triangle material due to teaching materials that cannot facilitate mathematical connection abilities. Abstract

GeoGebra is mathematics software that is packaged practically and is easy to use for learning and teaching at all levels of education. This research aims to determine the results of developing valid, practical and effective GeoGebra media on flat-sided geometric materials. This research was conducted at SDN Tukangan Yogyakarta. This research uses Research and Development procedures with the ADDIE development model of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The subjects of this research were teachers and 27 class VI students. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The data collection instruments include material validation questionnaires, media validation questionnaires, practicality test questionnaires, and effectiveness test questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques, namely describing the data that has been collected. Research results: Validity tests carried out by media and materials experts produced scores of 2.4 and 2.8, both considered sufficient, so revisions were necessary. Furthermore, the revised GeoGebra learning media was tested individually, obtaining scores of 3.7 (very good) and 2.7 (fair) for 5 students and teachers. Field trials carried out by teachers and class VI students resulted in scores of 3.1 and 2.9, considered good in practice. Furthermore, the interest in learning questionnaire showed an increase from 45% to 69% in respondents who were classified as having good interest after using the media. In this way, GeoGebra learning media is validated, practical and effective.

Abstract

Studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan peneliti membuktikan bahwa siswa belum mampu menerapkan konsep, prosedur, fakta dan alat-alat matematika. Hal ini mengakibatkan rendahnya literasi matematika contohnya dalam menerapkan rancangan model matematika. Penelitian. ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi literasi matematika tipe gaya kognitif field independent (FD) dan field dependent (FI) pada siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal trigonometri. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 4 siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Srengat terdiri dari kuat lemahnya kategori gaya kognitif field independent dan field dependent. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan lembar wawancara dan lembar tes yang terdiri dari GEFT dan tes literasi matematika. Analisis tes literasi matematika mengacu pada indikator dari tiga tahapan literasi matematika yang dikembangkan dari OECD (2021) yaitu merumuskan (formulate), menggunakan (employ), interpretasi (interprete). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) subjek FD lemah (FDL) mampu memenuhi satu tahapan literasi matematika merumuskan (formulate); (2) subjek FD kuat (FDK) mampu pada satu tahapan literasi matematika merumuskan (formulate); (3) subjek FI lemah (FIL) mampu menguasai ketiga tahapan literasi matematika dengan tahapan menggunakan (employ) konsep perbandingan trigonometri; (4) subjek FI kuat (FIK) mampu menguasai ketiga tahapan literasi matematika dengan tahapan menggunakan  (employ) konsep aturan sinus dalam segitiga sebarang. A preliminary study conducted by researchers proved that students were not yet able to apply mathematical concepts, procedures, facts and tools. This results in low mathematical literacy, for example in implementing mathematical model plans. This research aims to obtain a description of mathematical literacy types of Field Independent (FD) and Field Dependent (FI) cognitive styles in students in solving trigonometry problems. The subjects of this research were 4 class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Srengat consisting of strong and weak categories of Field Independent and Field Dependent cognitive styles. The instruments in this research used interview sheets and test sheets consisting of GEFT and mathematical literacy tests. The analysis of the mathematics literacy test refers to indicators from the three stages of mathematics literacy developed by OECD (2021), namely formulating, employing, interpreting. The results of the research show that: (1) weak FD (FDL) subjects are able to fulfill one stage of formulating mathematical literacy; (2) strong FD subjects (FDK) are able to formulate at one stage of mathematical literacy; (3) weak FI (FIL) subjects are able to master the third stage of mathematical literacy with the stage of using (using) the concept of trigonometric comparisons; (4) Strong FI (FIK) subjects are able to master the third stage of mathematical literacy with the stage of using (using) the concept of the sine rule in any triangle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan model pengembangan (Research & Development) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran matematika berbasis teknologi yang disebut dengan Applet Geogebra  dengan fokus materi jaring-jaring bangun ruang untuk siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu, Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan angket validasi dan angket praktikalitas. Validasi Applet Geigebra dilakukan oleh 4 orang validator, hasil validasi media diperoleh presentase sebesar 96,2% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. Uji praktikalitas diberikan kepada siswa dan guru kelas 5, hasil dari uji praktikalitas siswa diperoleh presentase sebesar 89,4% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Hasil uji praktikalitas guru diperoleh presentase sebesar 87,5% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan praktikalitas yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Applet Geogebra yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the fields of study taught in elementary schools, which some people consider difficult to understand as the basic object of education. So it is necessary to implement efficient and interesting learning for students. This study aims to determine the application of the polya heuristic strategy to students' mathematical literacy problem solving abilities. This study used a quantitative approach with a population of 80 students as primary school students, the sampling technique was cluster random sampling of 50 students, with a two group pretest-posttest design in the form of a control class by providing conventional and experimental method classes by applying heuristic strategies and analyzed using statistical tests. Based on the results of the normality test the data is not normally distributed (Þ = <0.001) therefore, the next step is to do the Wilcoxon test. Based on the test results, the results obtained a significant difference between the results of the pretest and posttest. The average pretest result for the control class was 49.6 and the experimental class was 47. Then after being given treatment, the average posttest score for the control class was 54.8 (conventional method) while the experimental class was 67.6 (polya heuristic strategy). Judging from the posttest scores, both classes showed an increase in learning outcomes, but a large increase was seen in the experimental class that applied the polya heuristic strategy. The polya heuristic strategy has an effect on increasing students' mathematical literacy, therefore this strategy can be implemented in learning mathematics at various levels of education.

Abstract

AbstrakSiswa kelas II mengalami kesulitan dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Materi yang dirasa susah oleh siswa ialah materi perkalian maka dari itu siswa kelas II membutuhkan sebuah media pembelajaran yang konkret dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. LAPER (Laci Perkalian) merupakan media pembelajaran berbentuk kotak dengan penyajian yang mudah dan menarik. Penelitian ini termasuk Research and Development atau (R&D). Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini ialah model Borg and Gall dengan sepuluh langkah yaitu: 1) penelitian pendahuluan/Pra-survey. 2) pengumpulan data. 3) desain produk. 4) validasi desain. 5) revisi desain. 6) uji coba produk. 7) revisi produk. 8) uji coba pemakaian. 9) revisi final produk. 10) Diseminasidan Implementasi Produk Akhir. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Kebon Bawang 01 dengan total subjek penelitian sebanyak 47 siswa kelas II. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, angket validitas ahli media, ahli materi, pakar pendidikan dan respon siswa serta pre-test post-test. Rata-rata hasil validasi ahlimedia sebesar 81,67% dengan kualifikasi media LAPER sangat layak digunakan, dan rata-rata hasil angket validasi ahli materi sebesar 90%. Sedangkan hasil validasi pakar Pendidikan sebesar 96,67% dan respon siswa dengan uji coba kecil sebesar 94,4% dan uji coba besar diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 97,2% dengan kualifikasi sangat layak. Media pembelajaran LAPER juga dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan rata-rata hasil pre-test dan post-test serta uji Paired Sample T-Test dengan menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sama dengan 0,000.AbstractClass II students have difficulty in mathematics. The material that students find difficult is multiplication material. Therefore, grade II students need concrete learning media while learning mathematics. LAPER (Multiplication Drawer) is a box-shaped learning media with an easy and attractive presentation. This research includes Reseiarch and Development (R&D). The development model in this study is the Borg and Gall model with ten steps: 1) preliminary research/pre-survey. 2) data collection. 3) product design. 4) design validation. 5) design revision. 6) product trials. 7) product revision. 8) trial usage. 9) final product revision. 10) Dissemination and Implementation of Final Products. The research was carried out at SDN Kebon Bawang 01 with 47 students in grade II. Data collection through observation, interviews, validity questionnaires of media experts, material experts, education experts and student responses, and pre-test and post-test. The average media expert validation result was 81.67%, with the LAPER media qualification being very feasible, and the average material expert validation questionnaire result was 90%. While the validation results of Education experts were 96.67% and student responses with small trials were 94.4%, and extensive trials obtained an average of 97.2% with very decent qualifications. LAPER learning media was also declared effective based on the average results of the pre-test and post-test and the Paired Sample T-Test by showing a Sig. (2-tailed) equals 0.000.
