The research is developmental research aimed to produce interactive media based on guided discovery learning on translation for XI grade students. Media is in form of web-pages which embed flash file and Geogebra applet in presenting material. The research uses model of multimedia development by Alessi and Trollip. Validation test’s result shows that media is valid with score of 76,25%. In other hand, product trial to students and pupil shows that media is practicable with score of 84,46%. Hence, media developed satisfies quality aspect namely valid and practicable. Research also shows that media can facilitate as well as motivate students’ learning. The use of media especially by ulitizing mathematical software with discovery learning method is highly suggested to be applied in mathematics instruction.

The purpose of this study to see the effect of verbal and numerical skills on critical thinking skills of mathematics, verbal ability to influence critical thinking skills of mathematics, numerical ability to influence critical thinking ability in mathematics. The method used is a survey where given a test of verbal ability, numerical kemamuan math and critical thinking skills. This research sample MIA class XI students in high schools in the city of Depok representing each district taken as many as 9 schools with a total sample of 360 respondents. Hypothesis testing using two-way ANOVA. Results of the study showed there are significant verbal and numerical ability jointly to the critical thinking skills of mathematics, there is the influence of the verbal skills of critical thinking skills matametika, there is the influence of numerical ability of the critical thinking skills of mathematics.

The aim of this research was to develop a conic section modul. The modul used GeoGebra in presenting material. This research used development model of Plomp, with three step including preliminary research, prototyping stage and assesment phase. The result of validation test show that modul was valid because contents advisibility, presentation advisibility, graphic advisibility and language advisibility was stay on good level. Analysis of responses quetioner show that modul was practicable because presentation advisibility was in great level and material presenting advisibility and usefulness advisibility was in good level. In other hand, student test show that the modul was effective with score of classical completeness percent was 89.29%. Hence, modul developed satisfied aspect of quality namely valid, practise and effective.

One of useful graph theory to solve the real problems is Minimum Spanning Tree (MST). MST is network optimization problems that can be applied in many fields such as transportations problems and communication network design (Gruber and Raidl, 2005). MST begins from tree namely a connected graph has no circuits. From the graph, there is a sub-graph that has all the vertex or spanning tree. If that graph has the weight/cost, then the spanning tree that has the smallest weight/cost is called Minimum Spanning Tree. Basic algorithm used to determine the MST is Kruskal’s algorithm. This algorithm is known as one of the best algorithms for the optimization problems, especially for MST. In this paper is developed a source code program to determine MST using Kruskal’s algorithm and then implemented on several data representing a complete graph.

This study aims to investigate open-ended learning approach in improving undergraduate students’ mathematical problem-solving ability and self-concept toward linear algebra subject. Population in this study is mathematics education students FKIP Unsika in four semesters that takes linear algebra courses while the sample is two classes became experiment class and control class. The research design that used in this study is non-equivalent control group design. Results show that undergraduate students’ mathematical problem-solving ability and self-concept who followed open-ended learning approach were fostered significantly compared to undergraduate students’ who received conventional teaching method.

The objective of this research and development was to produce a product of learning media based on android that were valid and practical to use for the student. This research type was Research and Development (R&D). The model used in this research was ADDIE model consisting of 5 stages. The instruments of data collection used the questionnaires product validation by experts and practicality by students. Based on the validations process were obtained the result that the developed learning media fulfill very feasible category, with the average percentage of 84.5%, which means that developed learning media was very valid. While the results of small group trials were obtained the result that the response of the students who numbered 10 students with an average of 88.1% stated strongly agree which means learning media developed was very practical. Based on predetermined criteria, the android-based mathematics learning media on linear program material developed fulfill the valid and practical criteria.

Critical thinking skills of mathematics mastered by students is very important, especially in the competition of globalitation era. An approach that can improve both of them is contextual approach in learning. This research aims are to determine: The Improvement of students' critical thinking skills between the class which used contextual approach in learning and the one which used conventional learning. Quasi-experiment methods was used in the research and the design was "pretest-posttest non equivalent control group". Population of this research was the students of SMP Negeri 3 Menggala and class VIII C and VIII D as the research sample, technique of samples used purposive sampling. Data collected by the instrument test critical thinking of mathematics. The improvement of critical thinking skills data analysed by using the t- test. The findings of this study indicated: The Improvement of students' critical thinking skills between the class which used contextual approach in learning was better than which used conventional learning. In table t-test indicated sig < α is 0.001 < 0.05Keywords : contextual approach, critical thinking skills of mathematics

This research is motivated by the low ability of mathematical creative thinking of high school students of class X IPA. To overcome these problems required one of the learning models are expected to develop creative thinking skills and mathematical disposition of students is based on Alternative Solutionss Worksheet. Through this learning, students are directly involved and learn to come up with ideas in solving open ended problems, so that the students interest to be active during the learning process. It is expected that through this learning, students become motivated, resilient.The output form of this research is an open ended alternative worksheet solution which can be utilized by teachers for teaching materials. The research method used is quasi experimental with design form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design, where the research subjects are not grouped randomly. The data in this study were collected through the pretest and postes of mathematical ability as well as the scale of the students' mathematical disposition. The results of this study are classes that use learning alternative solution worksheet better than conventional class.

The aims of the research is to describe the thinking process at SMK students to solve matematic problems viewed from personality type phlegmatic. The research was a descriptive qualitative. This study aims to describe the ability of mathematical creative thinking of students of class IX on the material of the circle. The method used a descriptive research method. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The subject is a student of class IX MTs in Bandung as many as 32 students. Data collection techniques are in use is to test the ability of creative thinking in the form of essay. Research results can be concluded that indicators of flexible thinking ability (Flexibility) that is capable of providing ideas, questions or the answers vary with the percentage of 81,%; original thinking ability indicators (Originality) that is able to give new expression to the unique ideas and with a percentage of 70%; An indicator of ability to think Fluently (Fluency) that is capable of generating ideas, answers, troubleshooting or questions smoothly amounted to 55%; original thinking ability indicators (Originality) that is able to give new expression and unique ideas of 61% and an indicator of the ability of Thinking elaboration (Elaboration) that is able to itemize and develop an object of 26%.
