The aims of this research were to increase the mathematics result of study by implementation of Think Talk Write (TTW) learning with picture media. The method of the research was Classroom Action Reserach. The instrument of data collection used test. Technique of data analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research result showed mean the result of study in cycle I is 56,30 and cycle II is 76,10. Then Think Talk Write (TTW) learning with picture media can increase the mathematics result study.

History of mathematics discusses a historical aspect of mathematics concepts since its appearance and development through ages. Understanding the background of why a certain concept appears in mathematics, an innovation in teaching and learning material may be developed. The historical aspect of mathematics concept can be used as guided reinvention activities for the children to learn the concept. This idea is in line with what stated in curriculum 2013. However, to implement in curriculum 2013, there is no feasible framework that can be used to work on. One perspective that can be used in this implementation is phylogenensis and ontogenesis perspective. In this paper a discussion on how phylogenesis and ontogenesis may be used to implement the history in teaching mathematics will be presented. In addition, an example on how a history can be used as reference in learning is provided.

The research was a descriptive qualitative. The prosedure of selecting the subjects used purposive sampling. The data of the research was collected by using think aloud method. The validity of the data used was triangulation. The results of the research showed that problem solving of personality type phlegmatic: (a) understanding the information by looking at the questions, then making a picture, had no difficulty in turning information into mathematical form and looking back at the questions to find the things in questions, (b) solving the problems by planning a solution that is started from the specified requirements in the matter, experiencing difficulty to change the equation initial information to be used in the calculation, and was not able to find the other formula which was different from the derivative function; (c) convincing the answer by looking back at the existing calculation, adjusting the obtained solution that was based on actual event and re-adjusting it to the problem in question

This research is aimed to create a learning trajectory of linear functions concept using mathematical modeling. The applied learning approach is the Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs). Design research was chosen as the research method consisting of three main phases; preliminary design, teaching experiments, and retrospective analysis. This research was conducted in class X in a public senior high school in Palembang. The result showed the design activity can encourage students to look at the form of modeling (charts/schemes/equation) that students make themself. Through steps on mathematical modeling takes students into the definition of the power to a linear functions, so the students had the idea in providing recommendations to solve real problems in life.

Education has a very important role in improving the quality of human resources. Therefore, education is expected to be one of the ways to prepare generations of qualified human resources and has the ability to deal with the progress of time and technology development . In order to enhance the quality of student mastery of competencies in the development of prospective teachers in this study will be applied to the activities in the process of lesson study in lecture . Lesson study is a model of coaching to people who work as both teacher educators and lecturers through collaborative learning and assessment in building sustainable learning communities. The purpose of this research is to improve the competence of prospective mathematics teachers through lesson study . More specifically , this study aims to describe the efforts made to improve the pedagogical, professional competence , social competence and personal competence prospective mathematics teachers through lesson study . Subjects in this study were students who took the micro teaching courses totaling 15 students , divided into 3 group . This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study is to develop the competence of prospective mathematics teachers through lesson study . Lesson study conducted collaborated with Action Research activities ( Action Reseach). The results of this research activity is the implementation of lesson study to greater competence to prospective teachers teaching mathematics through the micro subjects namely: pedagogical competence categories were 80 % and 20 % lower, professional competence categories were 46.7 % and 53.3 % lower, personal competence 100 % category being and social competence categories were 86.7 % and 13.3 % lower .

Teaching materials are learning resources in the form of materials or materials arranged systematically to help educators in learning so that learners are able to master the competence to be achieved. Based on the results of prasurvey obtained results that not yet available teaching materials that are able to facilitate, find, and develop mathematical concepts in advanced calculus course. Inquiry is a learning activity that emphasizes the critical thinking process and analysis to find and solve the problems until get a conclusion.This study aims to analyze the process of preparing the teaching material based inqury in Advanced Calculus course. The results obtained from this study are the teaching material based inqury in Advanced Calculus course which received an average validation score of 63% in the eligible categories of language, instructional design, and materials, and it can be implementation in advanced calculus learning.

This research is begin with try to understand what Steepest Descent Numerical is and its algorithm. After that, we constructing the new Steepest Descent numerical method using another direction and norm called arithmetic mean. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (a) bagaimana proses pembelajaran materi luas bangun datar berbasis teori belajar konstruktivistik; serta (b) keefektivan pembelajaran tersebut dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SD Negeri Purworejo. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini meliputi teknik deskriptif kualitatif, deskriptif kuantitatif, dan kuantitatif uji-t. Setelah diadakan analisis pendahuluan didapatkan bahwa pembelajaran konstruktivistik ini dilakukan dengan multimedia Powerpoint, greenboard, dan pensil-kertas. Berdasarkan catatan lapangan dan observasi dua orang guru didapatkan bahwa pembelajaran telah terlaksana sesuai teori belajar konstruktivistik. Angket respon guru menghasilkan skor 39.5, serta uji-t menghasilkan thitung = 2.016 > 1.645 = ttabel. Artinya pembelajaran berbasis teori belajar konstruktivistik efektif secara signifikan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar.

The objectives of this research are to know the practicality and the effectiveness of the development of teaching material and ICT-based media toward learning outcome on material of quadratic equations and function. Research subjects are mathematics education students of FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Metro. Experimental design uses a before-after or one group pretest-posttest technique. The technique of collecting data uses the questionnaires and tests. Data analysis uses paired sample t-test. The results obtained by the value of sig. = 0.000 where the value of α = 0.05 and the value of t = 6807> ttable = 2,015, so it can be concluded that the value of the pre-test and post-test was very significantly different. The marginal average was known that post-test value was greater than that of the pre-test, so it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of teaching materials and ICT-based media toward learning outcomes. In other words, the teaching materials and ICT-based media are very effective for teaching and learning.

This research examines about graph coloring using Welch-Powell algorithm. This research begins by trying to understand about graph coloring and its algorithm. The case study was conducted at the intersection of Pangeran Antasari Street. In the formation of graph obtained 12 vertices as traffic flow and 16 edges as traffic path. The results of this study obtained 4 chromatic numbers which describes 4 stages of traffic light arrangement. This paper also explains the application of Mathematica software in graph coloring.
