Abstract

This study aims to describe the diversity of ferns found in the Pepuwatu River Basin, Prai Paha Village, East Sumba Regency, and to describe the ferns in the Pepuwatu River Basin, Prai Paha Village, East Sumba Regency as a learning resource. Biology in booklet form. This type of research is ecological research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The method used is the eruise method. The results of the study found 450 individuals from 15.  The index of fern diversity in the Pepuwatu River watershed was 1, 948 in the medium category. The product produced in the study is a learning resource in the form of a booklet. Based on the results of the booklet validation test from validator I, which is 100%, validator II is 98.33% and validator III is 96.6%. This means that this booklet is feasible to use in supporting the learning process.Kata Kunci : sumber belajar biologi, keanekaragaman, tumbuhan paku.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of teaching materials, Structure, and Function of Plant Networks with the ADDIE Model and material validation as well as product design for teaching materials development using the ADDIE model. This is a research development. I Validation of the media booklet instrument was carried out by two validators, namely material experts (content feasibility aspects, presentation feasibility aspects, and language assessments) and media experts (size, cover design, content design, layout, content typography, as well as illustrations and pictures). The results obtained are the product of the development of teaching materials in the form of a booklet arranged based on the ADDIE model. While the results of the validity test get a total validation mean of 3 for the material in the booklet and 3.87 for the media design of the booklet. Comments from the validators, namely on the material aspect in the form of improving the presentation of the material to make it easier to read, while the media aspect added facts and examples of cells, tissues, and plant organs in the form of photos and illustrationsKata kunci: ADDIE, bahan ajar, jaringan tumbuhan, kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Water is a very special chemical compound, which in its content consists of hydrogen compounds (H) and oxygen compounds (O). By Government Regulations No. 82 of 2001 concerning water management, water must meet the criteria of three parameters, namely physical parameters, chemical parameters, and microbiological parameters (Total Coliform). This study aims to determine the water quality in the Nifuesu spring, North Baumata village, Taebenu district, and Kupang regency based on chemical parameters (COD) and Microbiological parameters. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method with an experimental design by comparing the measurement data from each water parameter with the PP quality standard No.82  of 2001. These data show that the COD value at the point I is 7,86 mg/L and point II is 6.13 mg/L. About water quality standards according to PP No.82 of 2001, it can be concluded that the water quality parameters at the location of the Nifuesu spring for COD testing meet the drinking water quality standards set by the Government by the criteria for class I water quality standards 82 of 2001 which is 10 mg/L while the Total Coliformtest at the point I and point II obtained the same results, namely<2400/1000 mL which criteria meet the class II water quality standards set by the Government.Kata Kunci:COD, Mikrobiologi, Sumber Mata Air, NIfuesu

Abstract

The 21st century is a shift to the digital era in which information is growing too fast and human activities can be visualized by smartphones, it demands education to follow the digital era to minimize the lack of the utilization of smartphones as a learning media in learning model and material. The objective of this study is to produce Biology’s learning media products based on Adobe Animated using the RADEC learning model in the respiratory system material which is decent in the learning process. This study used the 4D research development model. This study only used 3 stages of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The data analysis technique of this study is a questionnaire that was distributed to the students in a small group trial, before the trials the media was validated by experts. The learning media was produced after validation and revision, the average percentage from design experts scored is 92%, the material expert got 90% percentage and small group trials are 92%. Based on the percentage from the design experts, material experts, and a small group trial, the learning media was included in the "Very Appropriate" category. Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of the Frequent Practical Work learning method on the level of Self Efficacy and cognitive learning outcomes of high school students. Frequent Practical Work or repetitive work practices are carried out in various ways. In this study, practical work refers to the teaching and learning activities of biology. This research was conducted in one of the senior high schools in the city of Sukabumi with a research sample of 24 students in the control class and 26 students in the experimental class. In the control, class learning is done using conventional methods while in the experimental class learning is done using the Frequent Practical Work learning method. The results show that the level of effectiveness of the Frequent Practical Work learning method in the experimental class is quite effective for learning. In the experimental class, the level of Self Efficacy is in the high category, while in the control class the level of Self Efficacy is in the medium category. In the experimental class, the students' cognitive learning outcomes have a higher class average than in the control class.Kata Kunci : Hasil belajar Kognitif, Frequent Practical Work, Self Efficacy,

Abstract

The learning process is limited, causing the learning carried out by the teacher to be less than optimal. Teachers only carry out learning activities with limited time. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of learning models, the use of media and technology, and to find out the obstacles to the use of learning models. This type of research uses a form of qualitative research with descriptive methods. The population and sample in the study included MAN 1 Palembang with the research subjects being biology teachers and students in grades X, XI, and XII. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: (i) The implementation of biology learning carried out by teachers during face-to-face learning was limited to using conventional learning models including questions and answers and lectures so that learning only slightly involved active students. The use of media and teaching materials only comes from youtube, LKPD, and handbooks, (ii) Constraints in the application of learning models during face-to-face are limited, namely, the teacher's difficulty in explaining the material because the learning time only lasts 30 minutes so it is difficult for teachers to manage time when using syntax learning models and teachers' knowledge of learning models are also still low; (iii) limited face-to-face learning has not been able to improve student learning outcomes. The results of the research become a form of evaluation for madrasas so that teachers continue to pay attention to professional and pedagogic competencies as teacher role models in the 21st century.Kata kunci: Biologi, Model Pembelajaran, Tatap Muka Terbatas, Pandemi

Abstract

Observations in this study were about variations in the combination of solutions of  fruit Basella alba Linn, tubers  of Curcuma longa Linn, leaves Dracaena angustifolia as natural alternative dyes, with variations in the order of administration of solutions that produced contrasting preparations of plant tissue preparations of spinach stems (Amaranthus spinosus L). The study aimed to determine the effect of interaction variations from the combination of  Basella alba, Linn fruit solution, tubers of Curcuma longa Linn, Dracaena angustifolia leaves on the level of clarity of plant tissue preparations, variations in the order of giving the best solution can be used as natural alternative dyes and the results of the study can be used as a medium for high school biology learning. This study was presented using qualitative descriptive data processing using 6 treatments with 3 replications with 2 negative control without using dye and positive control using safranin dye. This research was conducted at the Integrated Science Laboratory, Muhammadiyah Metro University. Based on the data analysis, the results showed that the variation in the order of administration of the solution affected the clarity of the preparations. Variations in the order of tubers of Curcuma longa Linn solution,  Basella alba, Linn fruit, Dracaena angustifolia leaves gave the best effect on the clarity of plant tissue in stems of spinach (Amaranthus spinosus L). The results of this study can be used as a medium for learning biology in the form of preserved preparations.Kata kunci: Jaringan tumbuhan, buah binahong, kunyit, daun suji, Pewarna alami

The aims of developing LKPD with an Android-based guided inquiry model can provide innovations in the learning process by utilizing increasingly sophisticated information technology. Abstract

Shallots have a high economic value. The need for leeks continues to increase as the population continues to increase. The conditions for the growth of leeks are nutritional requirements, being at an altitude of 230-1500 m above sea level, rainfall ranging from 15-200 mm/year, and having a daily temperature of 18-250C and suitable soil types are andosols, latosol, and regosol. Shallots will grow maximally if they are protected from weeds, pests, and diseases. The decrease in leeks is caused by the abundance of Imperata cylindrica L. , the magnitude of the decrease is 40-50%, so Imperata cylindrica L. control is necessary. Imperata cylindrica L.  control is usually done by farmers using chemical herbicides which over time will cause plants to become resistant to chemical herbicides and will cause the soil to decrease infertility, it is necessary to control weeds using weeds themselves because Imperata cylindrica L.  have allelopathic chemical compounds that can inhibit plant growth. the use of organic herbicides can use Imperata cylindrica L.  and Ageratum conyzoides L. because these two plants have active compounds in the form of phenols, terpanoids, flavonoids, and also tannins. This study used variations in concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, positive control, and negative control and the results obtained that there was no right concentration to control Imperata cylindrica L. Kata kunci: Bandotan, Bawang daun, Bioherbisida, Ilalang

Abstract

The practicum guide used in animal development practicum is simple and did not direct students to carry out independent of practicum. This study aims to determine the results of the development and feasibility of an animal development practicum guide based on project based learning on spermatozoa analysis material. This research is Research and development with a 4D development model with the stages of define, design, develop and disseminate. Data collection uses a material validation questionnaire, media and student responses. The results of the development at the define stage, students experienced problems in carrying out practical work on spermatozoa analysis material. At the design stage, the practicum guide is designed with a guide component adapted to the project-based learning syntax. In the develop stage, the results of material validation obtained a score of 84.35% with very good criteria, the results of media validation obtained a score of 88% with very good criteria and the results of large group trials on students obtained a score of 84.12% with very good criteria. The disseminate stage is carried out limited to the large group trial stage for the third semester of Biology Education students. It can be concluded that by using the 4D development model with the stages of define, design, develop and disseminate, the product is obtained in the form of a project-based learning-based animal development practicum guide on spermatozoa analysis material. This practical guide is suitable for use by students in the Animal Development Practicum course.Kata kunci: Panduan Praktikum, Perkembangan Hewan, Project Based Learning, Spermatozoa
