Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' perceptions of the implementation of the independent curriculum in biology learning activities in Ogan Ilir District. The method used is the descriptive-qualitative method. The research sample consisted of eight biology teachers in four high schools (SMA) in Ogan Ilir District who had implemented the independent curriculum. Data on teacher perceptions were obtained through observation and interviews using observation sheet instruments, interview instrument grids, and interview instrument question sheets. The collected data was then analyzed with a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that all participants had good perceptions regarding the implementation of the independent curriculum in schools and acknowledged the advantages contained in the independent curriculum, but only some of the participants were able to consistently apply it in learning activities. This is because participants experience difficulties in designing independent curriculum teaching modules, compiling assessments, implementing learning models, using independent teaching platforms, and preparing intracurricular reports and P5 report cards. These findings indicate that socialization and training on the independent curriculum need to be maximized again by including consistent mentoring programs for teachers so that they can consistently implement the independent curriculum in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Analisis kebutuhan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis bahan ajar yang dibutuhkan pada mata kuliah Mikrobiologi Dasar untuk menunjang aktivitas dan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengumpulkan data tentang kebutuhan bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran Mikrobiologi Dasar. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar wawancara dan angket. Jumlah mahasiswa yang diambil yaitu 149 orang dan 5 orang dosen pengampu. Analisis data hasil wawancara dilakukan secara deskriptif dan hasil angket dianalisis kuantitatif dengan hasil persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar Mikrobiologi Dasar. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, bahan ajar Mikrobiologi yang diusulkan akan dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa dan dosen pengampu yaitu e-modul berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan menggunakan Flipbook, terutama pada objek kajian bakteri. Bahan ajar ini mencakup materi yang disajikan secara menarik dan interaktif, dengan penggunaan media digital yang relevan. Diharapkan hasil analisis kebutuhan sebagai dasar penelitian lanjutan untuk pengembangan modul elektronik berbasis model PBL pada materi bakteri di mata kuliah Mikrobiologi Dasar.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan kegiatan penting dalam mempersiapkan anak untuk menghadapi masa depan, bahkan telah ada sejak awal peradaban manusia meskipun dalam bentuk sederhana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang mengikuti dan tidak mengikuti Klub Olimpiade Biologi di MAN Insan Cendekia OKI. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan tes tertulis, dan data dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t-test melalui aplikasi SPSS. Data diambil dari nilai Asesmen Sumatif Akhir Semester (ASAS) semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2024–2025. Sampel penelitian meliputi seluruh siswa kelas X, berjumlah 141 orang, terdiri dari 18 peserta klub olimpiade dan 123 non-peserta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata peserta klub adalah 69,06, sedangkan non-peserta sebesar 56,67. Uji normalitas menunjukkan data terdistribusi normal, dan nilai signifikansi 0,01 < 0,05 menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan. Perbedaan ini dapat disebabkan oleh tingginya motivasi, minat, dan kepercayaan diri peserta dalam mata pelajaran biologi, serta lingkungan klub yang mendukung terbentuknya pola pikir positif.

Abstract

Education is an important sector in the development of a country. The progress of a nation is very dependent on the education system. To improve the quality of learning, many countries, including Indonesia, have adopted new curriculum, such as the Kurikulum Merdeka. The Kurikulum Merdeka gives students freedom in their learning and emphasizes the development of 21st-century skills. However, the application of this curriculum is faced with several inhibiting factors. This study aims to analyze the inhibiting factors in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 and SMA Aisyiyah 1 Palembang. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and information surveys. The results showed that the internal inhibiting factors for implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka came from the motivation, attitudes, and interests of the students. In addition, external inhibiting factors also come from parental support, principal leadership, school facilities, learning systems, learning materials, and teacher competence. It can be concluded that there are obstacles in all the indicators measured. With a deep understanding of these inhibiting factors, it is hoped that it can provide recommendations for the authorities and become a reference for schools in efforts to correct deficiencies and develop the Kurikulum Merdeka in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to develop TTS media based on the Teams Games Tournament model and to determine the validity, practicality, effectiveness, motivation, and learning outcomes in science material. The method used in this study is the 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The product trial was conducted on 25 students in class VII MTs As-Salam Palembang, also involving one science teacher as a respondent for the practicality test. The results showed that after validation by language experts, materials, media, learning devices and teaching materials, it was obtained that the average indicator for language was 78%, material 78%, and media 79% with good and valid qualifications. In learning devices, the average indicator was 94% and teaching materials 84% with very good qualifications and very valid information. The results of the expert assessment of media practicality obtained an average indicator, namely 86% of teachers with valid qualifications and 84% of students with very strong qualifications. Based on the results of the tabulation of student response data on the effectiveness of the biology TTS media, a percentage of 81.16% was obtained with a very high category. Then the value of student responses to learning activities was 88.05 with very good criteria. This study shows that the TTS media based on the Teams Games Tournament model developed has met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. High validity indicates that the content and media developed are in accordance with learning standards. High practicality from teachers and students indicates that this media is easy to use and helps in the learning process. Increased motivation and learning outcomes are classified as moderate indicating that the use of this media can have a positive impact on students' understanding of concepts. However, in the future this media can continue to be refined to be able to produce higher improvements. It can be concluded that by using TTS media, students can be motivated in the learning process because they learn while playing.

Abstract

Analisis kebutuhan ini bertujuan mengetahui kebutuhan bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SMA Negeri Palembang. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling yang diambil dari ketiga SMA Negeri Palembang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2 di ketiga SMA. Jumlah peserta didik dari SMA Negeri 4 Palembang adalah  68 orang, dari SMA Negeri 9 Palembang berjumlah 72 orang, , dan dari SMA Negeri 19 Palembang berjumlah 80 orang. Instrument yang digunakan adalah lembar angket, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis kebutuhan dari ketiga SMA Negeri Palembang bahwa harapan guru dan peserta didik dibuatkan bahan ajar E-Book 6%, E-Modul 24%, E-LKPd 37%, Media 3 dimensi 9%, dan Video Pembelajaran 24% sehingga yang paling tinggi harapan dibuatkan E-LKPd berbasis model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi bakteri.
