Abstract

Physical environment (in this case is kindergarten) needs to be considered because it has a frequent contact either physically or mentally with children. Based on this issue, kindergarten should provides facilities that appropriate to children’s growth and development process, and also to their characteristic. The purpose of this research was identifying child-friendly environment criterias. The method used was literature comparation about child-friendly criterias in kindergarten. The result showed that child-friendly criterias in kindergarten were three factors: safety, comfort, and stimulation either in exterior element or interior element of kindergarten environment.Keywords: children, kindergarten, exterior, interior

Abstract

1Exodus by Madurese people to Java, represented one of the resident disseminating process in Indonesia. Besides transfer of human beings, there were also architecture and culture transfer, especially house remain was important shares in human life. The aim of this architecture’s research is to know changes of architecture that happened in two cultures in its life pattern. Though culture that goes on it follows local culture, however its architecture’s orientation does not stem from the same culture, and so does on the contrary. This matter represent there are values that able to perceive physically on the elements of architecture, and also its influence on its pattern habit of society exist in depth.This research represents a kind of study and object case research, by determining one of the research object and conduct it with in depth study to get required data to analyse. Besides, this research also represents a qualitative research to describe and compare of two architectures. In course of analysis, quantitative data also needed, which obtained from questioner concerning architecture composition. By the existence of existing change and difference gotten after analysis process by compare of two architecture, showed that architecture have a dynamically character. Besides, the change and its dynamically was supported by a very good relationship between architecture, human being and environment where the architecture woke up.Keywords: Madurese architecture, culture, environment

Abstract

Balongdowo village Candi region is the location of the center of mussel shells fishing settlement located in Sidoarjo. Every year before the fasting month mussel fishing communities implement Nyadran cultural traditions that became their cultural space. Study of cultural space is done by using qualitative methods and supported by observation of behavior - environment and theory formation of cultural space. Results spaces formed culture is influenced by cultural traditions Nyadran ranging from the preparation stage, the departure, the disposal of a chicken , float an offering, a pilgrimage to the tomb of the Goddess Sekardadu, search demonstration mussel, and cover .Keywords : cultural space, Nyadran, mussel fishermen, Balongdowo

Abstract

Ekologi arsitektur adalah keselarasan antara bangunan dengan alam sekitarnya, mulai dari Atmosfer, biosfer, Lithosfer serta komunitas. Unsur-unsur ini berjalan harmonis menghasilkan kenyaman, kemanan, keindahan serta ketertarikan. Melalui jelajah kasus Masjid Ampel, riset ini berupaya mengungkapkan konstruksi ekologis arsitektural masjid ziarah sebagai alternatif keberlanjutan arsitektur yang berkarakter Nusantara. Langkah awalnya adalah melakukan jelajah atas masjid tersebut dengan menggunakan kajian visual culture sebagai alat bacanya. Langkah berikutnya adalah melakukan kajian interpretif atas identitas masjid dan konsep sosio-ekologi arsitekturalnya. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rumusan arsitektur ekologis yang berpijak pada kenusantaraan dan kekinian arsitektural. Rumusan ini bisa dijadikan sebagai strategi pengembangan dan pembaharuan arsitektur masjid yang menusantara, mengkini, sekaligus berwawasan eko arsitektur.Kata Kunci: ekologis, nusantara, ramah lingkungan, hemat energi

One village in Gresik which still holds cultural ritual is Hamlet Wedoro . Activity life cycle (birth) gradually implemented , from the prenatal to postpartum . Abstract

Aspek tradisi yang semakin memudar, pengaruh tradisi sebagianbesar masyarakat Desa Cerme Kidul melaksanakan tradisi SedekahBumi, apabila tidak melaksanakan tradisi Sedekah Bumi merekameyakini akan terjadi sesuatu hal yang tidak diinginkan. Tujuantradisi Sedekah Bumi adalah meminta doa restu kepada Tuhan YangMaha Esa dan kepada nenek moyang supaya semua urusandilancarkan dan sebagai rasa syukur atas rejeki yang diberikanberupa panen raya, serta upaya untuk melestarikan budaya leluhur.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metodekualitatif, teori yang digunakan sebagai landasan penelitian iniadalah Environment Behavior Study, di dalam tradisi Sedekah Bumi diTelaga Desa Cerme Kidul terkandung makna silaturrahmi diantarawarga tidak memandang suku, agama dan tingkatan sosial, TradisiSedekah Bumi adalah salah satu tradisi yang masih melekat padamasyarakat Desa Cerme Kidul. Tradisi tersebut dilaksanakan ketikaselesai panen padi. Tradisi ini dilaksanakan di Punden Telaga. Kata Kunci : punden telaga, warisan budaya, tradisi budaya.

Abstract

Kampung Bubutan is one of the original community of settlements in the city of Surabaya. As the coastal city, Surabaya closely with the image as a trading city. These factors led many immigrants come from many different cultures, local and international including Netherlands. This article will discuss about what makes the formation of the settlement pattern at Kampung Bubutan, and how the acculturation between Javanese and Colonial on the settlement using descriptive–qualitative method. The results is Kali Mas river and Mancapat mythe effected the formation of Kampung Bubutan settlements. Colonial architectural found in the basic shape of the building and building technology . While the Javanese architecture found in the building ornaments, organizations of space, and the meaning of the Javanese who appreciate nature and social community. Values, advices, and good wises from Javanese giving much meaning in the house.Keywords: Javanese architecture, colonial architecture, etnic aculturation

Abstract

The study of the golden section in the building facade in Kayutangan, Malang has a specific purpose, namely (1). Evaluate the proportion of building facade in Kayutangan, Malang based on the theory of the golden section and (2). Produce design recommendations of building facade at Kayutangan, Malang which proportionate and in accordance with the golden section. Data collection method using observations of the building facade on both sides of the corridor with a distance meter instrument, then the composition is described as a two-dimensional digitally. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the golden section proportion, followed by making a digital simulation, especially for building facade that is not in accordance with the proportion of the golden section. The results of this study indicate that the building facade in Kayutangan, Malang has a proportion of 10% of the width and height of the building according to the golden section and 90% are not in accordance with the golden section. The results of this study are expected to be recommendations for structuring the design and aesthetic improvement of the city, particularly in Kayutangan, Malang and can be a reference for those who want to do similar studies in other regions.Keywords: golden section, building facade

Abstract

Nature of the Nusantara archipelago with the composition of the ocean and the land has formed a diverse culture and architecture that characterizes all the archipelago's. Archipelago architecture has a form and concept are very diverse, ranging from simple to very complex. One of the underlying architecture embodiment of the archipelago is the conception of space. Diverse groups of people have a variety of concepts of space different, but with the sole purpose of creating archipelago nature and society for the better. One of them is 'simpukng' conception of the public space Benuaq governing society and the environment proxies in order to stay awake and well ordered. Simpukng concept is not only applied in the scientific community architecture Benuaq, but the concept of this space is used in almost all activities of the local people there. Therefore, in studying interdisciplinary required in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding about this simpukng. One that can be learned from simpukng in architecture today is how to formulate the space, both micro and macro in formulating a sustainable overall concept, not partially.Keywords: Simpukng, Benuaq, space, architecture now, sustainable

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze typhology of half blood Chinese ethnic house by classifying the house element based on certain types, in order to obtain the thypology from micro side which is seen from roof thypology, column, floor, balustrade, console and the elements of openings in the form of doors, windows, bouvenlicht. Morphology from the micro side by analyzing the changes which is related with residential home element, meso by analyzing the changes and addition of sketch which is seen from space organization so the effect on changes in function, hierarchy, and circulation in the room. The existence of acculturation causing the Java style influence, China and the Netherlands in this house. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive by analyzing the physical condition of both residential and layout elements that can be produced by the characteristics of each typology and morphological findings.Key Word : Typology, morphology, the half blood Chinese ethnic
