Abstract

Dalam dunia kesehatan, radiologi mempunyai peran penting untuk mendiagnosis dan mengobati suatu penyakit serta mempelajari radiasi, terutama di bidang radiodiagnostik dan radioterapi yang bertujuan untuk penyembuhan dari penyakit ganas yang sangat mematikan yaitu kanker. Brachytherapy memberikan pengobatan yang lebih tepat dan mengurangi kerusakan di daerah jaringan yang sehat di sekitar tumor.  Telah banyak kasus tumor maupun kanker yang sembuh dengan metode brachytherapy ini mulai dari kanker serviks, kanker mulut rahim, hingga kanker lidah. Tujuan jurnal ini diharapkan akan membantu dalam memahami aspek fisis dan aspek klinis. sehingga diketahui bahwa Quality Assurance (Penilaian kualitas) adalah seluruh rencana dan tindakan sistematis yang penting sedangkan Quality control (kontrol kualitas) adalah sistem yang digunakan untuk mempertahankan tingkat kualitas.

Abstract

Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte Associated Protein 4 (CTLA-4) adalah reseptor limfosit T yang berikatan dengan B7-1 dan B7-2 dari sel dendritik. CTLA-4 berperan menghambat kerja limfosit T. CTLA-4 diekspresikan oleh limfosit T pada fase istirahat atau setelah teraktivasi. CTLA-4 ditemukan pada sel dendritik, monosit, limfosit B, limfosit T, granulosit, dan stem sel CD34+. CTLA-4 berperan penting dalam perkembangan tumor, kanker serta autoimun. Literatur review ini bertujuan untuk membahas regulasi CTLA-4 limfosit T terhadap penyakit kanker dan autoimun. Metode: pencarian sistematis pada tiga database yaitu NCBI, science direct, dan nature dengan kata kunci “CLTA-4 and T cell and cancer and autoimmune” tahun 2021. Hasil: didapatkan 6 pilihan intervensi untuk mengurangi ekspresi CTLA-4 dan 1 intervensi untuk meningkatkan ekspresi CTLA-4. Kesimpulan: berdasarkan analisis terhadap 7 artikel penelitian, penurunan ekspresi CTLA-4 dapat menghambat pertumbuhan kanker dan peningkatan ekspresi CTLA-4 dapat menghambat berkembangnya autoimun maka dapat.

Abstract

Jaringan otot memiliki fungsi penting untuk berkontraksi. Ketersediaan energi sangat terbatas dan akan habis untuk kontraksi otot yang membutuhkan tenaga besar dalam waktu yang singkat. Energi didapatkan dari proses fosforilasi non-oksidatif (Anaerob) yang menghasilkan asam laktat. Kafein pada kopi arabika gayo akan meningkatkan oksidasi asam lemak dan menurunkan oksidasi karbohidat. Hal tersebut berdampak pada penurunan laktat darah. Konsumsi kopi menurunan laktat darah sehingga mempercepat  recovery kelelahan setelah latihan fisik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kopi arabika gayo pasca stress fisik akut submaksimal terhadap kadar laktat dan glukosa darah terhadap proses recovery otot setelah latihan fisik pada orang tidak terlatih. Penelitian ini adalah eksperimetal dengan metode post-test only control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah laki laki dengan usia 21-27 tahun dan diambil dengan teknik simple   random   sampling.   Pengambilan   data   dilaksanakan   di   Laboraturium   Olahraga Universitas Surabaya pada Desember 2018. Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis dengan SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi penurunan laktat dan peningkatan glukosa darah pada kelompok kontrol (1,609 ± 1,2597 mmol/l; 15,182 ± 15,2041 mg/dl, kopi 1 (2,527 ± 1,2744 mmol/;15,727 ± 9,8396 mg/dl), kopi 2 (1,873 ± 1,3350 mmol/l; 12,727 ± 8,5684 mg/dl). Pemberian kopi arabika gayo pasca stress fisik akut submaksimal setelah lathan fisik dan pada orang tidak terlatih tidak memiliki pengaruh menurunkan kadar laktat darah dan meningkatkan kadar glukosa darah

Abstract

Cobalt-60 adalah instrumen radioterapi yang digunakan untuk mematikan sel tumor maupun kanker pada pasien. Untuk menjamin kualitas instrumen Cobalt, diperlukan QA (Quality Assurance) dan untuk membuktikan adanya jaminan kualitas perlu QC (Quality Control). Hal ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memeriksa dan menguji data untuk menentukan standar dan mengecek kesesuaian produk mencapai operasi manufaktur yang maksimum atau ukuran yang diambil yaitu untuk menilai, merawat atau memperbaiki kualitas perlakuan yang diberikan. Program QA harus didasarkan pada penyelidikan menyeluruh untuk standar awal pada saat penerimaan dan commissioning peralatan untuk penggunaan klinis (AAPM, 1993a). International Electrotechnical Cornmission (IEC, 1989a, b), American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM, 1984,1993a), dan American College of Medical Physics (ACMP, 1986) menjelaskan prosedur dan kondisi untuk tes penerimaan. Salah satu rangkaian QA QC adalah kalibrasi meliputi kalibrasi harian, mingguan, bulanan dan tahunan. Kalibrasi harian, mingguan dan bulanan dilakukan oleh fisikawan medis dengan dibantu radiografer, sedangkan kalibrasi tahunan dilakukan oleh pihak BATAN.

Abstract

Traumatic injury can cause chronic inflammation that lasts several months to years. Interleukin-10 plays an important role in the repair of tissue fibrosis and accelerates wound healing. The active compounds of secondary metabolites in Moringa leaves include flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids, and tannins that can accelerate wound closure and act as anti-inflammatory effect to help vasoconstriction in blood vessels so as to minimize signs of inflammation. The aim of this study was to analyze the role of Moringa leaf extract on Interleukin-10 levels in chronic dermis inflammation. This study used a true experimental research with a post-test only control group design. This experimental procedure using 20 male Wistar rats, aging 2-3 months, weighing 150-200 grams and divided into four groups, a negative control group and experiment group with treatment of Moringa leaf extract at concentration of 5%, 10% and 15%. The extract was administered for 3 days after the creation of chronic inflammation in the dermis. Blood serum were taken after 3 days administration of Moringa leaf extract. Analysis using Kruskal Wallis with 5% of error rate. The results showed p=0.040 (p<0.005), which means interleukin-10 levels in experiment group with treatment of Moringa leaf extract were significantly increased. The leaf extract of Moringa oleifera had a role in increasing Interleukin-10 levels in chronic dermis inflammation of male white Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) with the best concentration of 15%.

Abstract

Cyclamate is one of the artificial sweeteners that is still often consumed by the public as a food or beverage additive. In some countries, cyclamate is prohibited for consumption because it is carcinogenic. This study was conducted to determine the effect of sodium cyclamate on the number of polymorphonuclear cells (PMN). The type of research used was a laboratory experimental. The sample used was a male rat totaled of 25 which were divided into 5 treatment groups which was without sodium cyclamate, administered sodium cyclamate at a dose of 4.5 mg / 200 g BW, administered sodium cyclamate at a dose of 9.5 mg / 200 g BW, administered sodium cyclamate at a dose of 14.5 mg / 200 g BW, and administered sodium cyclamate at a dose of 19, 5 mg / 200 g BW. The research finding revealed the statistical significancy for p<0.05 indicated that there was an effect of sodium cyclamate to the number of polymorphonuclear cells. The usage of sodium cyclamate is known to generate oxidative stress, which results in cell damage and leukocytosis.

Abstract

Sunbathing activities are often found to occur during the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS CoV2) pandemic that causes Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID 19). IL-10 is an inhibitory cytokine for macrophages and dendritic cells that play a role in controlling non-specific and cellular immune reactions. The purpose of this study was to explain the immunosuppression by the cytokine interleukin 10 which is often found to occur due to sun exposure. This research method is an experimental study with a completely randomized design (CRD). The research design used was a randomized post test only control group design. Data were analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis test with statistical test results obtained p value 0.550 (> 0.05) meaning there was no difference in the levels of cytokine interleukin 10 in each treatment group.

Abstract

Lattice degeneration is an abnormal condition of the peripheral retina caused by stretching and thinning of the peripheral retina layer. This condition could increassed risk of retinal detachment that can cause blindness. Lattice degeneration is often found on myopic eyes with increases axial length. This study is aimed to evaluate the relationship and risk ratio between lattice degeneration with axial length and myopia among Samarinda college students. This was a cross-sectional study through purposive sampling. All subject underwent ophthalmologic examination including refractive correction, IOLmaster and indirect ophthalmoscopy by an ophthalmologist. A total of 66 myopic eyes were studied. Lattice degeneration was significantly associated with axial length (P=0.002) and myopia degree (P=0.001). Lattice degeneration was more common in high myopia (69,2%) and in axial length >26 mm (68,76%). Increasing lattice degeneration was associated with high myopia (OR:2,754, P=0.026) and axial length (OR:2.290, P=0.278). Conclusion: high myopia and axial length can increase the risk of lattice degeneration.

Abstract

Determination of the therapeutic dose (Prescription Dose) around the target using 3D TPS in the case of Ca-Thyroid is used to perform contouring in 3D form of a Ca-Thyroid target volume so that at the time of treatment the right dose can be obtained to kill the target. but also minimize the effects received by OAR. So it is necessary to know the stages in determining the therapeutic dose using TPS in 3D with the software used is Oncentra. This research was conducted using the observation method and the interview method with the field supervisor. From this research, it was found that TPS 3D CRT is a technique of CT planning so that the isodose curve can be formed according to the shape of the target volume. Determination of the therapeutic dose (prescription dose) can be carried out in four stages, namely the initial stage (opening the program), initial planning (contouring internally and externally), planning beam, and dose calculation. So that from the four stages, the dose per fraction of OAR is 2.01 Gy right eye, left eye 0.73 Gy, right eye lens 0.45 Gy, left eye lens 0.19 Gy, and spinal cord 1.8 Gy. . While the dose per fraction for the target volume is GTV 2.77 Gy, PTV 2.92 Gy, and CTV 2.83 Gy.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the total anthocyanin content and IC50 value) of antioxidants from the ethanol extract of Lobi-lobi (Flacourtia Inermisand Jamblang (Syzygium Cuini L Skeel) fruit which were analyzed using the DPPH method. by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The research was conducted at the Environmental Laboratory of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Khairun University. The results showed that the anthocyanin content and antioxidant activity of the lobi and jamblang fruit were analyzed using the Differences in pH and DPPH methods. For lobbies anthocyanin levels are 17.99 mg/L and 4.62 mg/L. Meanwhile, for IC50 antioxidants from fruit lobbies, 50.01 g/L was obtained, for jamblang it was 91,113 g/L.
