Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills in terms of their intrapersonal intelligence. This type of research used in this study is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach with as many as 5 people using purposive sampling techniques. In order to obtain the data needed in this study, data collection took the form of tests of mathematical communication skills with algebraic form material, and intrapersonal intelligence questionnaires. The data obtained in the form of data from test results and questionnaires, then the data are analyzed and concluded. Overall the results of tests that were followed by 5 students had mixed results. Furthermore, research subjects were taken to take a written test of mathematical communication skills. Each subject was taken 3 out of 5 students. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that research subjects who have high intrapersonal intelligence will look superior in their mathematical communication skills. This is because they prefer to interpret understanding by managing and controlling themselves. As for students with abilities that are categorized as low and moderate they can also be intelligent in other types of intelligence and other factors that influence it. Therefore, teachers must pay more attention to each intelligence possessed by students and must apply appropriate learning methods.

Abstract

Abstract

Batik is a culture of the archipelago in Indonesia, where batik has its own characteristics, one of which is barking batik in Tanjungpinang City, Kepulauan Riau Province. In the batik motif there is an indication of mathematical practice, especially in the batik motif. Mathematical practice in this culture is known as ethnomatematics. This study aims to explore ethnomatemics on the batik motifs of Tanjungpinang, Kepulauan Riau Province . This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Research data is done through observation, interviews and documentation. The main instrument of research is the researcher himself. Then the data are analyzed by referring to Van Maanen by reducing data, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed a mathematical practice of the bark batik motifs in the form of the concept of folding symmetry, acute angles, obtuse angles, translational concepts, and circular planes.

Abstract

Abstract

The learning difficulties refer to a group of difficulties which are manifested in the form of real difficulties in the proficiency and use of listening, conversing, reading, writing, reasoning, or abilities in the field of mathematics. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors the difficulties of madrasah students in learning mathematics with the research subjects being students of class VII MTs N I Bukittinggi. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that students' learning difficulties in mathematics in terms of internal factors was 22.83% which was included in the high enough category with details: the difficulty of physiological factors was 19.24% with quite low categories, psychological factors of 26.42% with quite high category. The difficulty of learning mathematics in terms of external factors is 23.94% which is included in the category of high enough with the details: student learning difficulties in mathematics in terms of school factors is 24.85% with a high category, family factors of 9.40 % with low category, and community factors amounted to 37.58% with quite high category.

Abstract

Most of the student was able to comprehend the concept of the statistic descriptive subject, but still inaccurate into calculation and using simbols.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran matematika melalui pemecahan masalah dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Peureulak terhadap konsep fungsi kuadrat (2) untuk mengetahui respon siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Peureulak setelah penerapan pembelajaran matematika melalui pemecahan masalah pada pokok bahasan fungsi kuadrat. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 siklus atau 3 kali pertemuan (RPP). Instrumen berupa tes, lembar observasi aktivitas guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar wawancara, lembar angket respon siswa. Teknis analisis adalah mereduksi data, penyajian data, penerikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh: (1) pembelajaran matematika melalui pemecahan masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Peureulak terhadap konsep fungsi kuadrat dengan skor rata-rata 80,05 dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal diperoleh 94,12%, (2) pembelajaran matematika melalui pemecahan masalah dapat menimbulkan rasa senang pada siswa, dapat berdiskusi, bertukar pendapat, dan saling membantu dalam memecahkan masalah, (3) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran sangat positif.

Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan dunia game online saat ini sudah sangat pesat. Fenomena kecanduan bermain game online diperkirakan sangat mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh bermain game online terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang menggunakan teknik puppossive sampling kriteria inklusi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 3 Plered Cirebon dengan jumlah sampel 32 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecanduan siswa terhadap bermain game online adalah kategori sedang, nilai prestasi belajar matematika siswa paling dominan dengan interval nilai 81-85 adalah kategori baik atau predikat B. Selain itu, mayoritas pemain adalah laki-laki, penggunaan bermain game online dalam seminggu adalah 3 sampai 4 kali, alasan bermain adalah menghilangkan stress dan jenis game online yang dominan dimainkan adalah mobile legends. Berdasarkan data empirik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bermain game online berpengaruh negatif terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, namun tidak signifikan, pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Kata kunci: Kecanduan Bermain, Game Online, Prestasi Belajar. AbstractNowdays the proliferation of the online gaming was phenomenal. The phenomenon of addiction to playing online games is estimated to greatly affect student achievement. This study aims to determine how much influence playing game online has on student achievement. This research was conducted using quantitative descriptive methode with puppossive sampling inclusion criteria. This research was conducted at SMPN 3 Plered Cirebon with 32 respondents. The results showed that the level of student addiction in a middle category, the most dominant value of students' mathematical feat with intervals of 81-85 was a good category or predicate B. In addition, the majority of players were male, playing game online in a week is 3 to 4 times, caused by stress relief and the game is mobile legends in general. Based on empirical data used in this study shows that playing game online has a negative effect on students' mathematical feat, but not significantly, at a significance level of 5%. Keywords:  Addiction to Play, Game Online, Learning Achievement.
